@Joshua Tamashii@Eklispe@1Charak2[@Scarifar
@Jangel13@vancexentan@Tojin@The Irish Tree@LunarStandardOkay, I need to bring up a change I'm making to the economy right now. I'm not proud of the way I decided to handle it, and am going to slightly overhaul how card progression works after talking about it with some people. Please read all of this, it's important.
First up: Boss monsters. Flat out, we're not going to be buying those or pulling those in packs anymore. All Extra Deck monsters and main deck monsters you could see as a 'boss' monster will have to be earned in the story. You earn them by requesting an NPC duel, and I'll write one in if I agree to give you one. Why would I do this, you ask?
Well...
Simply put, I don't want boss monsters to be something you can just buy. I feel like they should be earned in the story itself. Think of how Yuma collected Numbers for a little while, and once he got them, summoned them in some later duels. That's how I want to handle it, make people win a certain card through one means or another and then summon them in later duels, like how I handled the four contest monsters... only with a little more effort. You can't buy it in singles and if you pull one in a booster, I'll reroll it.
If you're unsure if a certain card would count as a boss monster, tell me and I'll tell you.
Also, if you're ahead to the rest I'll be slower to give you something than if you're behind. If it's something your deck can't function without I'll think on it, but you'd need to give me a good reason as to why you
have to have that card.
Second. Custom cards can not be bought in singles anymore. I'm going to withdraw that choice, because I'm starting to get the feeling that people are making cards for themselves and just buying them later because they want to win every duel. I don't want that kind of abuse, and I'm also going to be a bit less lenient on accepting them. I may also remove some more cards from the list, since it's still cluttered and some of them serve no purpose.
Third and lastly: Taxes. I'm going to be restricting some card progression in this way as well. To be honest with you, I don't want people treating this RP as the real game. I'd rather they treat it as the janky anime, with weird and specific cards being used for dramatic effect and creating a spectacular show. Straight up staples like the mirror forces, the solemn cards, the trap holes etc. will cost double their supposed amount, up to 70. Situational staples like RotA, Armageddon Knight, Royal Decree etc. will get a 50% price increase, up to 53.
I want to give people a nudge to buy card like Twister over MST, or forgo both options and buy something like Xyz Unit for fun. Get some crazy wild stuff running up in here and make the duels more spectacular!
If you have any questions on how this is going to work, ask away.
EDIT: *SLIDES BACK IN*
Oops, forgot to mention one thing! I'm going to remove the ability to make custom structure deck unless you're making it for a new character. That was cheap, in retrospect. You know who you are.
