Well, the whole purpose of the State is helping all life achieve Enlightenment. It would be so much easier to pick a faction to support that shares our goals. But I guess we will have to make do with the Fascists :p

I'm back, glad to see that the IC has started moving forward.
Also happy to see some new faces and that Malphy is back.
Regarding this, I should be here for around the next 2 or so hours before I have to start doing shit again, so if you have anything extremely urgent, it would be a good idea to say it now.

@Fashy So, what is your opinion of the nations and RP setting so far? How will New Jerusalem work (in terms of the other nations and the overall setting)?

@Ekreture Also, good to see another Terran faction! Now the Federation has some back up xD. From the looks of it, you seem to be playing Space!Confederates/antebellum US, which makes them likely allies of my Heinlein-knock off Federation.

@Serpentine88 very true XD we're also a little bit of Columbia, if you're a fan of Bioshock. They'd definitely be your ally, though there may be an issue with the Imperial aristocracy, but it shouldn't be a huge deal. It also seems like our militaries could cover each other's weaknesses, with yours being more mechanized and long range and ours being more based on infantry and short range.

@Sigma Yeah, I figure we get involved in border fights. The way I see it: We probably don't actually physically border each other, because otherwise that puts a giant bug empire pretty much in the Terran core worlds. Instead you constantly attack human/terran worlds nearby to the Federation that aren't a part of the Federation (I figure the galaxy is filled with human NPCs, considering the fact that the galaxy was 90% conquered by the empire before). The Federation considers these mini-human NPCs as 'client states', regardless if they actually are or not and so constantly intervene or send small patrols to counter-harass your forces.

THINGS YOU COULD BE INVOLVED IN
-Peace conference obviously, you are now a combatant technically, being Terran-aligned
-Once Sigma makes a post (probably about raiding human territories), you could be involved somehow. Perhaps the Terran Federation intervention force calls on Gaians to assist (think coalition of the willing type stuff), or it could be a small Gaian frontier colony/settlment (like the ones in Mass Effect 1/2) in another star system, assuming the Gaian Republic has some kind of interstellar presence.
-Your own independent post, possibly detailing some important internal event
-A post involving Earth and the UN, considering they are your closest neighbor, being literally right next to each other.

@Ekreture There are two ideas.

First of course if the Peace Conference preparations for your delegation. Second would be, and this depends if the Terran Federation and Gaian Republic are already close allies, the Gaian Republic assist the Federation in maintaining peace for its Client States, fighting off any Dathu or other Xeno Incursions.

@Sigma@Serpentine88I just posted some Gaian characters, one of which I plan on having represent Gaia at the peace conference. And the Federation is already allies with Gaia, and Gaia does have distant asteroid colonies...what if, rather than attack a human NPC, you just destroy a Gaian asteroid belt colony? And Gaia seeks help from the Federation, so they send my diplomat character to the Federation, which we could use to better outline the relationship between Gaia and the Federation?
