@Kal-ElI thought that was a thing. . . but you have to admit, even with a month of training, it's annoyingly bullshit to have another character's hard work be instantly undercut like that, even if Sasuke's a prodigy and he can't keep it up for that long. Or maybe it's just annoying.

Whatever the case, I think this is just one of those cases where we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Do we still need antagonists or villain like characters? I have an idea for one if we still need one.

The idea I had is a puppet jutsu user, that uses human puppets like sasori, but is making puppets out of major clans in the leaf. Human Hyuga puppets, sarutobi puppets, etc. Making several dozen puppets, wanting to steal the body of the First Hokage of the AU and turn it into a puppet. The goal of this guy/girl could be wanting to create an army of puppets to go up against the great nations. Trying to take advantage of the winter to gain power, or something like that. The Human puppets concept in Shippuden is very simple. Create a puppet out of a person who was alive at one time and have a weapon with the strength of that person with various weapons in them.

This would make a villain that is doing something that the AU Leaf would rally against. Not only doing disgraceful things to the big clans of the leaf but with a very villainous plan way of doing something as well. I would think someone mutating bodies of former family members/clan members would be something that would get people to rally up against for revenge. It has all the makings for a great antagonist. This was just a little idea I had.

@BuddhaSo as i rework both the clan and the history, I'm thinking of making a relation between one of the sects of the clan and the Uzumaki clan. Not a blood relation, but a symbiotic one. Uzumaki clan try to use their fuinjutsu specialties to help them control their rages, they use their abilities to help defend and protect the Uzumaki Clan.



Anyway, long story short, was there someone already working on an Uzumaki character and thus the Uzumaki clan? If so, I'd want to be sure to clear this all up with them first, as well as collaborate on it with them a little to make sure we're on the same page with out stuff

Side note: Since we know of two Uzumaki's who have possessed it(Karin and Kushina) would the chakra chains be considered a Kekkei Genkai for Uzumaki women and not just a special trait? This is just a curiosity/backstory/plausibility thing and has no bearing on my character's abilities or anythin like that. He's strong enough as is, don't need to try and cheese in something else or try to replace with something that I don't really understand the full applications of.

Also I love Sasuke because he is complex. I love characters that are complex. I'm not one of those who read Naruto just because of a certain character. What got me into reading was the concept itself.

That's not some Maru Sue shit. This is shounen, not everything is realistic.

I actually planned on making a Naruto RP AU re-write but nvm.

Leave Sasuke to me when a re-write does happen. I have the similar tastes as Raijin but also I can't bear seeing my boy get shitted in a rewrite saying, he doesn't exist. A rewrite is to show our perspective of how the canon characters will be presented in such version not shit on them.

Lee fought with restraints ever since he was able to do so, which I imagine would be like.. years and years on end. In walks Sasuke who 'masters' it to the same degree if not better in 1 month. No, that's not hard work. That's bad writing.

I don't know if a month was pushing it. Given how the Uchiha have a slight learning curve advantage, and also Sasuke was already fast to begin with. He was able to keep up with Haku in the beginning once he got the sharingan. Plus he was training with Kakashi under whatever training method they used. Given, Kakashi put Naruto under a training method that lead him one of his strongest jutsu. A month training under Kakashi and being an Uchiha, I don't think a month was too early.

The problem with this is that Kakashi didn't teach him to be fast, lol. They spent a month learning Chidori, not how to move fast. So, I'd even say that Sasuke never learned it, he just copied it. Which IMHO is even dumber.

I'm thinking of making the Kekkei Genkai a curse from the White snake Sage in Ryüchi Cavern, having cursed the progenitor clan and those who hold his blood because of some transgression they enacted in order to gain the Snake sage's power. You know the whole 'get what you wish for, but not in the way you wanted it' kinda deal. Anyway, they got the power, but soon nearly killed each other or where hunted down as their rages and power proved to be their undoing, leaving nothing behind about their clan but rumors.

The clan exists, but have secluded themselves in different sects, one for each of the elemental nations and with different philosophies on how to deal with their curse. In Mizu no Kuni, where I'd assume the Uzumaki clan to originate from given their name, they seek to better control their rage, so as to harness it properly, and the way they do this is through Fuinjutsu with the assistance of the Uzumaki clan. This provides a more probable source for the chakra regulating eye-patch than random fuinjutsu guy.

Well, I mean, Neji was a prodigy and probably stronger than Sasuke if you ask me, but he didn't move that fast. Rock Lee moved so fast that you couldn't really follow him with your eyes to begin with (which is like, the entire fucking point, he blinks out of existence and reappears somewhere else). Sasuke was never this fast before that, and it's a bit nonsensical for him to go 'OH. WAIT. ROCK LEE DID IT. WELL, I CAN DO IT TOO.' and somehow know how to do it.

And how the hell is Sasuke complex? Lmao, I know you like him, but really? His entire personality can be summed up as 'haha, revenge.' and that's it. There's no depth to him whatsoever outside of superficial things like 'reeeeeeeeeeeeeeee itachi killed our clan reeee'.
