Kosoku

The end of the homeroom class marked the start of Kosoku's stay at Komei Academy, and the rest of the week marked the start of Kosoku's bizarre but rigorous training exercises. The white-haired boy would sneak out to the P.E grounds during the early mornings and late nights to practice repeatedly teleporting, combat techniques and the like. Kosoku wasn't a big fan of people watching him train, which explained why he did it where he thought nobody would see, but he had no way of being absolutely certain of that.

The lessons for the week proved to be fairly underwhelming for Kosoku, everything aside from the basic training proved to be just as it would be in any other school - minus the interesting collection of personalities in Kosoku's classes, that is. The young ninja made it a point to get on good speaking terms with as many of the students as he could; he would be working with them for a long time, after all.

Kosoku watched the hero apprehension test take place from the surveillance room, alongside the other classmates present there. The students were made to wear their gym uniforms for the exercise. It made sense - the students hadn't had a chance to commission their hero costumes from the support department or something similar to that, and the gym clothes were practical enough as is. Even so, Kosoku made a point to continue wearing that ninja face mask even in his gym gear. He was ready to go to the hero test, but had to wait for the first group to finish their match. Still, he didn't mind watching their match in the meantime. It was hard to tell whether or not the match was coming to a end or not; one of the few 1-on-1 fights that had been taking place had resolved with Ken's victory, but it seemed like the arrival of Su-Mi eliminated any chance at grabbing the hostage. It was unfortunate, since the battle between Aki and Ken was pretty intense, and it was easy to see they were both trying their absolute best. The other students in the test were nothing to scoff at either, there were impressive instances of communication and cooperation through the use of the communicators, both teams had a clear drive to win, and Kosoku found that engaging.

"This looks to be a good fight," Kosoku said aloud, to no one in particular.

"I can't tell which team is going to win."

He crossed his arms and continued to watch intently.

Mine watched the simulation quietly from the sidelines. For the most part, she had kept herself quiet, and gave as minimal information about her own quirk as possible during homeroom introductions. She was more interested in observing her classmates, after all. Their quirks. Learning them, thinking about the possible applications and limitations of each one. For the most part, she was quite pleased with the rather eclectic group of quirks that had gathered in their class. It was certainly going to make for some interesting stories and a fairly memorable school year. Also offer opportunities for advancement of her own little agenda. That said, she was so far less than impressed with the school staff or how they were handling things. To be honest, she really didn't approve of how this simulation was proceeding.

It was a complete farce in her opinion. Only four minutes for the villain team to prepare? What was this, a childs game? Granted they were children, but they were children aspiring to be heroes. In a real hostage scenario, the Villains would have much more of an advantage wouldn't they? They would be able to prepare. Keep the hostages somewhere safe. The heroes likely would have very little, if any information to go on aside from where the target was being held. Wouldn't it be more helpful to play out scenarios one might actually find in the field? Perhaps she had been playing too many video games recently, though...

"This looks to be a good fight, I can't tell which team is going to win."

One of her classmates, Kosoku Hitoshi chimed in. Teleporter Quirk. Allows him to traverse distances without traveling the space in between, essentially. She didn't know the specifics but she was keen to find out. Such a quirk would be quite difficult to deal with her own.

"Good fight?...I suppose," Mine replied with a frown. "But it is hardly realistic or indicative of actual hostage scenarios one might encounter as a hero." She did not elaborate any further on the subject, instead merely observing with mild interest. She was eager to put her own skills and abilities to the test, despite her opinions on this so called test. She did admit everyone was trying their hardest to win this little event and was eager to see how each of them performed.

(So, erm, we wrote a bit. >_> I believe Liferusher'll post Karen in character section tomorrow? Anyways, while I don't think we expected for this collab to be anywhere near as long as it turned out, we hope y'all still enjoy the banter! Also, since both of our chars' texts are pretty close, just read with the knowledge that Liferusher used center code. Used three hiders just so it isn't a block on the screen.)

Collab between Jedly & Liferusher
Karen Hirasawa & Ender Kazetani

Finally the day of the hero apprehension test had started. For the past week Karen had accomplished to stay in her own smartphone that was just lying on her desk. No one really noted her presence for all week long but that was what she was going for in the first place. It was alright for her to stay in the phone if she participated in outdoor activities and pay attention to the lessons. Of course the lessons weren't the problem but Karen looked up a little to the outdoor activities or so to say showing herself to the class.

Karen turned herself a tad bit only showing the side of her face and her long blonde hairs. Her eye was sharply pointed at him in anticipation. Yet she was trembling from fear that he would still laugh at her. The hell with it, she could always go to another school right. She turned her body completely towards him with her phone held tightly in both hands. Her eyes were fixated on the wall besides them.

Ender reassured her that he didn't go through any of her files, she glanced at her phone for a moment but was already kinda sure he didn't since she was part of the phone. Karen gave a small nod of understanding and started typing on her phone. She stayed quiet furthermore.

"Thank you for holding my phone..."

Ender's vision leaped from his phone's screen back up to the girl who had shown herself in her fullest- well, for the most part. He was still faced with only the side of her profile, but he didn't mind. Having encounter many reticent maidens in the 2D world, the kid had enough wits about him to proceed accordingly. "No problem," He said, finding peace in the sentiment that the girl's usage of the chatroom inadvertently confirmed his theory, "N'ways, I need to skedaddle. It was nice meeting you though! I'll catch'a later, stay well." Since they both went to the same institution happenstance would surely force them to cross paths at some future juncture, and besides, the chatroom didn't seem to be going away anytime soon. With a wave the student disappeared into the surveillance room, taking the chance to capture the face AI was hiding.

"Ender Kazetani, present! My deepest apologies for my absence-desu!" The student burst into the classroom in his soon to be unanimously known iconic disposition. With a bow way too crisp for his haphazard behavior the kid begged for Yoshida-Sensei's forgiveness.

How much courage did it take for that girl to go against her inner fear? This was truly an institution for heroes.

Daichi stood stoically in the doorway, covering every open crevice. While he did so, he heard the murmur of Sazama as she whispered into the communicator resting on her ear. Luckily, a message was replied in Daichi's own communicator, and Shoko was coming to his aid! Daichi remained still, and would have looked incredibly threatening in the dark light of the abandoned floor. Had he not been shaking violently and clawing at the small form of a girl clinging to his entire body. As she was undressing, Daichi's convulsions had started, which were only exemplified by Sazama moving towards him. W-was she attracted to a monster like him? Daichi was never into a person in that way before, but he always enjoyed the idea of possibly getting into a relationship. To be honest, Daichi didn't even feel anything sexual when she removed her clothing, just a profound unease and awkwardness. Maybe he was just really popular? As she wrapped her arms around Daichi and held him with strength that was clearly far stronger than someone of her size, Daichi realized why she had removed her clothes... And also why she had preemptively apologized.

An intense burning sensation crossed throughout Daichi's body wherever she touched. Daichi, having just realized that she also possessed inhuman strength, was unable to notice that her heat was emitted through her tattoos, which he had believed were aesthetic. This was probably because he was too busy trying to claw her off of him, to no avail. She had successfully dug her hands into his shoulder blades, gripping his stone-like flesh with her life. Daichi began to wonder if she might be hurt from the hard texture, before a familiar voice nearly caused him to weep in joy.

Shoko made it! And she... looks a little strange... Daichi didn't notice how awkward it must have been to walk in on a girl clinging onto a monster with barely any clothes on like her life depended on it. Following her orders, Daichi quickly decided that the best bet was to take her with him. Daichi wrapped an arm around Sazama's torso, Daichi grabbed the hostage before turning and running towards the stairway to the roof. Obviously, the light would impede Daichi's capabilities... And that was also why having this girl cling to him was so dangerous. She glowed like a human-sized nightlight, and Daichi could feel him grow weaker as she grew brighter, and hotter.

Shoko's message over the communicator was an ingenious plan, and Daichi was not at all surprised that he had not thought of it. Jumping from the roof of a three-story building, while obviously suicidal for a normal human, would only hurt Daichi moderately. Compared to having the living hot plate attached to him... Daichi was definitely going to pick the former. Daichi ran up the stairway, and made sure to hold onto the girl very tightly. As he did so, he finally burst onto the rooftop, and continued his run, before the heat began to become unbearable. Completely ignoring Shoko, Daichi threw the hostage to her side, and barreled his way to the edge of the roof top, before jumping off into the air.

While there, he remembered his fear of heights. His grip on Sazama tightened even further as this realization struck him. The things he had to do to get get extra credit...

Sazama Nyko

[85% - 17 min]
Sazama's arms started to ache, she did have to hang on to someone twice her size after all. Every second felt like a year but she still kept a strong grip. She felt Daichi's skin start to loosen and become more sensitive to the heat. It would probably take another minute until he gave up but before that happened a voice cut in. It was the voice of Shoko who shouted at Daichi to head to the roof. As Sazama was about to let go so that she could fight Shoko, Dazai kept an arm on her which prevented her from just hopping off. Before she could think of anything, Dazai was suddenly jumping off the roof of the building still keeping a grip on her. Sazama squirmed as hard as she could trying to get Dazai to release her. In the process, she started to exert much more heat and power making her energy drain at a much quicker rate.
[80% -> 30%]
After a few seconds, she was able to finally get out of his grip but it was too late to even catch herself to the side of the building. It was even too late to realize that it would've been safer for her to just stay in Daichi's hold so he could soften her fall. But it was all too late. Using her remaining energy she hardened her muscles with the strength she had so that she would at least survive the fall.
Both she and Daichi hit the ground and created a giant cloud of dust making it difficult for cameras to catch what was happening.
[5%]
Luckily Sazama did not pass out from the fall and from having her energy drained so low. She was laying on the shattered asphalt not being able to move anything while her tattoos quickly faded away. "D-Daichi..." Her voice croaked as she tried to make sure her fellow classmate was okay as well. Everything around her started turning black as her body was forcing itself to sleep since her energy was so low. Having accepted defeat she completely closed her eyes and relaxed her body, "I'm sorry, team...I'm sorry mom..." She whispered to herself before falling asleep.

Su-Mi Kim

Su-Mi watched Ken carefully as he held his companion up. They both had a substantial amount of damage done to themselves...Though He knew Ken was a force to reckon with. She swallowed thickly as His eyes were turned to her. "You see, the odds are in your favor to win. Go ahead and take the hostage, it's futile to try to stop you. We can fight another time when I'm at full power." Su-Mi scoffed as she looked down... "Hmph Guess it's too late for a fight..damn and I really wanted to show him what I'- We are made of" Su-Mi sighed as she helped Ken pick Aki up. She dragged along the clone with her as they headed off to the nurse. "psst ask him if he's single" Su-Mi simply let go of the clone to hit her own head before grabbing onto the clone again. She really didn't want to talk to the voice right now...not when Ken was around. "Come on...I bet he's single..meow" Su-Mi sighed "Shh" she muttered under her breath as they walked. "I suppose you walk the walk as much as you talk the talk..." she said softly adverting her eyes. "Raja seems to-..." "OH SHIT DON"T LET HIM KNOW ABOUT US" SU-Mi gasped a bit as he kept her mouth shut. She cleared her voice hoping he wasn't even paying attention to her antics.

They headed down the street and slowly made their way to the entrance of the city. She had to admit the city was really well built...She almost wished there were small people to go with it. She smiled as she imagined the little people who would have lived there.

Ken Hashimoto

I suppose you walk the walk as much as you talk the talk

Ken was in a pretty good mood today since the battle with Aki, "I have to, there are things I must accomplish, I have goals and dreams I must achieve. By arrogantly showing my prowess it can sometimes bring out the best in people. Just look at me, all this damage and this guy has a shielding quirk." Ken said lugging Aki.

"Raja seems to.."

Ken raised another eyebrow but payed no mind, if she wanted to talk about whatever she is free to do so, he wasn't going to force her say something she didn't want to say whole heartedly. Ken smirked, "Have more confidence in your ability, hesitation will only get you killed. It's a ruthless world where people will do anything for what they want" he said making a fist. Being one of those things created by that want for power, his moms location unknown, his father locked up in jail, being born out of a want for a super weapon to take out heroes, how can he not act up. Soon enough her heard a loud impact and the floor shook a little. Ken smirked, it had to be daichis monstrous strength."I believe the match is over,it seems like Daichi has trumped one of your teammates." soon they reached the starting zone.

Yoshida Sensei

Mr Yoshida watched the whole battle, he was especially interested in the battle between Aki and Ken, though Aki was defeated his attention was on the clone and trying to protect it. Even when the final blow was dealt he protected the clone before himself, A+.

Time was finished soon after, Ishin had recalled all his clones as he took in all the experiences his eyes grew a little watery, seems like he must have been scared a little bit by the kids. He spawned 5 clones, so the villain team can prepare.

"Time is up, the winner is villain team, everyone report back to the started point" Mr.Yoshida said. He then turned to the kids in the surveillance room, "there is more people in the second round so I will give villain team 10 minutes to prepare. Hero team stay at the gates until I say go

"Hero team and round two will consist of, Sayuri Takeshi, Anne de blois, Kosoku Hitoshi, Gi Yamaguchi Gumi, and Kane Yoshida. he said before taking a look at the remaining. "villains, Vanitas suda, Garen von strum, Mine Onada, Karen Hirasawa, Ender kazetani, and Amelia rose. "Villain team you may go and get ready.

@Jedly@Animal@Kal-El@liferusher@FallenTrinity

Soon enough, the battle had concluded with the villains as the victors. Mine sighed. Such a poor performance by the heroes, though they had tried hard. She had to give them credit for that, at least. Still, with the extremely advantageous position they had it was a bit of a shame that they had lost. Were they not strong enough? Or perhaps they simply lacked good teamwork? That was key in any sort of group activity. Well, either way she couldn't dwell on it. It was quite entertaining to observe their quirks and learn more about them.

A thought for later. Now, she had to assure her teams victory.

Unfortunately, she was going to have a few troublesome opponents. Namely the teleporter, Kosoku, and Anna De Blois with her destabilization. Would make short work of her barriers if she was not careful. That said, they had much more useful group of villains with them. Ender kazetani would be a great asset. Garen was quite dangerous if he could use his quirk well, and of course the others. Now they just had to play their cards right and this would be quite the simple little exercise. And ten minutes to prepare as well! How quaint. It honestly seemed like they were almost wanting the Heroes to lose. They even had an extra member on their team.

Mine picked up a communicator, briefly turning to her comrades classmates and giving a polite bow before setting off for the testing grounds and heading for one of the 'hostages'. Immediately upon setting off into the city, she spoke into the communicator.

"Hello? Can everyone hear me alright? Mine Onada speaking." Her voice was amicable, business like in nature. Hostage in hand, Mine observed the surroundings and pinpointed the best place she thought would be a good defensive position. "Pleasure to be working with all of you but we don't particularly have time for pleasantries. Ender Kazetani? While I am unaware of the full capabilities of your Qurik, If you would be so kind as to let someone else take a hostage and disrupt enemy communications with yours if at all possible, it would greatly benefit us."

Straight to the point, and logical. Hopefully everything would go smoothly. Mine wanted to execute this flawlessly. That said, it would be difficult. Working together as a team was likely not something any of the were good at. None of them had a good grasp of their teammates abilities and they may have had a few...difficult ones among them. She hadn't had time to review everyone's personality to an extent that would be useful. It would be better to play to all of their individual strengths, then. She would play defensively, and attempt to do what she did best.

As she waited for a reply, she made her way towards the edge of the city. Towards the center would be too obvious of a place to check. Likewise, the top floor of a building would be a much more...impractical spot to keep the hostage...but it would be perfect bait, no? But it the building couldn't be too big. It had to be small enough that she could at least cover most of the roof with her barriers if needed. Seemingly finding the perfect one, Mine stepped inside.

Ako

Ako didn't really care much for the results of the practice. Once he was called back to the starting area with everyone else, he heads outside to where all the noises were coming from. He was still at full energy and didn't really need the sandwiches in his backpack, but once he saw the others...he didn't really want to offer his sandwich to practically anyone there. Looking down to see the girl on the ground who was sleeping, he puts her on his small back in an attempt to carry her out. He does look up and try to notion to Shoko to join him in carrying the other teen back to the nurse's office. If she does meet up with him, he'll end up offering one of his sandwiches to his pal.

"...everyone...so violent. Hide...with me...next time. Easy to hide. Easy to make...bait."

Ako mostly mutters that to himself as he walks back to the starting zone with the unconscious female. He didn't even consider checking on Daichi nor Ken knowing that those two would be able to bounce back from whatever wounds they got. That and he was kinda confused as to why Daichi made a large hole of sorts around the area they were at...but doesn't poke any questions at the others. The only thing the silent child hopes for is that he got an average grade from his performance...which surprisingly went pretty well.

Soooo, the first round had ended and the teacher had asked them to get over towards the gate and wait, soooo they did. It was pretty unfair and all, Anna didn't expect the teams to be so unbalanced. I mean look at her team mates, they all looked like the person to squeeze her head like a melon. Anna had been shivering in tension hoping one of her team mates wouldn't kill her before the opposing team did. Well she doubted any of them would survive either.

Anna had to get a little more comfortable with the others from the hero team or else she will fuck up and bring everyone in danger. She had to focus and know what she can do or she'll be of no asset to the team. Anna turned around quietly still looking a little tense with a somewhat awkward forced smile on her face trying not to cry.

"H-hai team... I-It's a pleasure t-to be working w-with you!"

She made a quick bow with both hands on her lap making her hair swing in the air for a moment before it peacefully strode past her head again. It would always happen that when she was under a lot of pressure that she made these amazing dramatic bows for no reason. Her past consisted on a lot of deep bowing to apologize to others.

"M-most people call me Anna so f-feel free to do the same hehe. My quirk is stabilizing and destabilizing objects or quirks. I g-guess you can call me the support... If you guys feel like you have a good tactic I'd like to participate in that idea. I'm not so experienced in large fights...he..he"

She awkwardly brushed the back of her head as she laughed a little, they probably hate her now after she told them she was basically useless in this fight. She was happy enough if she not got killed this fight.

Karen had already left the surveillance building before anyone else left, she wanted to make sure as less people as possible would see her even though she was probably gonna be seen during the fight anyway. It might come across as a little strange to suddenly hear about a girl on the namelist you have never seen or heard of before to be on your team or in the building protecting a civilian. It wasn't her call to participate in this event so they'll have to live with it. Karen had changed her clothes to the gym outfit that was requested, yet her blue oversized cat hoodie remained on top of it.

The small blue hooded teen got up to the gate and hid. She patiently waited for everyone to leave the area and quickly got her clone that she was suppose to protect. Karen hastily tucked him along with her hand covered in her long sleeve being very frustrated why it was moving so slow. Karen gave it an annoyed pout as they were walking through the street, she had to do so many things already to prepare there was no time for this at all. Karen swiftly got the phone out of the pocket of the hood and taped onto one of the many apps she had. It scanned the area for her so she had a ton of cameras added to her vision. Some of them were protected too well for her to access quickly but she doubted they would give her much use so she let them slip away for now.

The cat hooded teen set her clone down at the top floor of the most secure building she could find, it looked a little like a office building with quite a high budget for cameras and fancy furniture. It was of course not the newest since it would probably get destroyed by the students anyhow. She set her own phone down on one of the desks pointed towards the clone to function as camera and location to go too.

Her agenda was planned chock full so she had to get a move on already. Next the nearby hardware store, she dropped out one of the advertisement television Karen took a quick look around to see what would help her. She wouldn't be able to get too all the stuff since her quirk didn't allow that so two steps from any powered electronic was the max.

After a short while Karen let out a tired puff as she wiped the sweat of her forehead with her sleeve. It was not the best or the nicest looking piece but it was something, A heavy nerf gun turret with detection camera and rotating axis. You shouldn't teach young teens how electronics work. It was taped together with duct tape but hey, it was working. Turret capacity was turned to the max so those rubber bullets would definitly hit hard. In exchange for that it would break pretty easily and quick, it probably had a reason no one did this.

Karen stood steadily before trying to lift up the turret, this wasn't anticipated. IT WAS TOO HEAVY FOR HER TO CARRY! This stupid body kept making her run into problems. She quickly looked at the time and bit her lip, two minutes before the heroes came. She ruffles both her hands over her head thinking on how stupid this was. Karen got out her phone and tapped one of her apps again, it was the chat with Ender again. She send her location with a few messages quickly send after it.

"Please help me RIGHT now!... I'm begging you!"

Karen wasn't sure how aware Ender was with the alarm on his phone so she made sure her recieved it by letting his phone buzz till he turned the screen on and changing all the screen around him to error codes. On top of that she added an image at the side of his screen to make clear he received a message.

Now she just had to wait, she took another quick look at the store supplies to see if there was anything that would still help her in this fight to the death.

Ender Kazetani

Well, this was interesting. The team lineups to be precise. In the time he managed to utilize effectively from entering the surveillance room to making his way to Beta City, a handful of mental notes were taken on each of his teammates. There was Karen, who somehow achieved to skyrocket to the zenith of the list of students Ender was most acquainted with in the berth of a few sparse minutes. Then there was the female student with glasses, Mine, who exuded the aura of a himedere in volumes so great that the boy felt like a negligible grain of rice. Stale rice. She would undoubtedly be as much of an adventure as a struggle to befriend. There was also his classmate Garen, a flag set off by Ender's quirk the moment he set foot in the classroom opening day. There was the lingering feeling that they had crossed paths somewhere before, and that the German had been crying waterfalls during their encounter. But that didn't fit Garen's character in the slightest, so the gnawing sensation had to be placed aside temporarily. Vanitas and Amelia were practically designated as tertiary characters in Ender's database, but hopefully after this test the two would express some idiosyncrasies to remember them by. There would definitely be a number of attributes for the team to remember the self-proclaimed tecophile by, after all, the kid was quirkier than Quirks themselves. But for the sake of the exercise, they'd be thankful the shut-in has spent an unhealthy amount of time playing with raid parties and team-based modes in FPS's.

Communication was key, but what established a foundation for it was always first impressions. This initial facet was something that was highly crucial and had to be treated with the utmost care and calculation.

"Moshi moshi! Too too roo, Ender-desu!"

Something Ender failed at miserably.

"Sorry, sorry, just so hyped that I can't contain it! Anyways, this is Ender Kazetani, reading you loud and clear, Bosu!" The boy checked each road of a four-way intersection before he darted across the street, a commendable feat after one noted the seven foot long hunk of metal strapped to his back. The Clockwork Cannon, his pride and joy, the wings of which were clipped in light of the non-lethal bearing of the exercise, resulting in its ammunition being cut out of the picture. The shadow of a crosswise building enshrouded the pseudo-villain in darkness, the perfect cover to pause and finally process the words that had been uttered by the team's "Bosu" a few moments prior.

Ender's mind ran wild.

A myriad of methods, both fictional and realistic, were conjured up in fractions of a second and were just as short-lived, inevitably scrapped due to the scant resources entry year students had at their disposal, along with the constraints of reality. Perhaps a plasma warhead fired from a railgun built into a twenty-story tall scale model of Mikoto Misaki was a tad bit far-fetched. Curse the shackles of 3D!!! Ender shook his fist ruefully into the air, a sight that would surely confuse a hero should one stumble upon him right now. He rubbed his temples in deep contemplation, verbally machine-gunning his thoughts into his communicator, "...and while a homemade radio jammer may be a feasible choice, chances are these communicators operate off of a Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum- or perhaps Frequency-Multiplexing Division, to prevent being hindered by Quirks that may hijack or emit radio waves. He continued to relentlessly rap off terms and semantics that probably made his teammates want to yank out their eardrums, yet a smile was gradually growing with every syllable "Well, a more pragmatic approach would be an area-of-effect electrical discharge, an effective EMP. We would need to manifest a double exponential pulse train, yet for that we would need an adequate amount of voltage and amplitude, like a few dials weaker than lightn-"

And then it dawned on him.

The smile that was built up as he mulled brusquely transformed into a full-blown crescent moon grin. The expression an evil scientist would don once they found the key to world destruction or domination. Depends on what they put in their coffee. Or in Ender's case, much like the many times he figured out the crucial chink in the armor of many dungeon bosses.

Though just like that this plan now pivoted one two members instead of one. "Garen-senpaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai~." Yes, it was apparent they were in the same year. But also, yes, why not some fun despite what hung in the balance? "This exercise is arranged for us to apply what we learned in class, but it also gives us the chance to gauge our abilities in an authentic environment," The student was of course referring to against other gifted individuals and the practice of thinking outside the box, sounding oddly charismatic in respect to his earlier dialogue, "While militaries now employ the usage of NEMP or HEMP explosives, lightning electromagnetic pulse, or LEMP for short, is a natural form capable of directly damaging objects and tech alike. But thankfully we don't need to go to such great lengths to fulfill your request, Bosu, but a toned down version can generate an electrostatic discharge, which should affect nearby communications. We'll just need to be sure to clear out fast, we being Garen and myself, if he's up for it."

The boy stole a peak around the building corner, gleaming with joy as he made sure the hostage was fastened tightly between his back and the Clockwork Cannon. Ender spotted a nondescript adjacent to the one he was currently propped up against, his destination. Through the wide window his vision caught a sliver of familiar blue. He was half-tempted use his cellphone as ammunition due to how rattled he was by an abrupt notification. But after it turned out to be Karen, another task fell on his shoulders, "Anyways, I'll think it over in great detail," The last emphasized segment hopefully put his teammates' worries to rest, or perhaps only exacerbated their trepidation. "And BTdubz, if anybody happens to stumble upon a manga store or two, mind snagging me a few books? I mean, we are technically villains. Might as well act out the part a bit." Humor as a follow-up was a laudable strategy.

"Gonna help out Karen first, then I'll work on diversion detail. Until then, Ender out. El Psy Congroo." Surely a number of his teammates were making very perplexed faces at the mention of their elusive comrade. The fact that her name was on the roster couldn't be dismissed, yet their memories of the amount present in the surveillance room and those involved in the exercise did not even out. The girl had also maintained radio silence to an almost praiseworthy degree. Meanwhile, headphones faintly emanated the lyrics, "Hard-hit by the times, that's just how your life goes by, I know it's not your fault, you say-"

Following another double take the student made a beeline across the street.

Ender entered the store and allowed the bell hanging over the door to sound his arrival. The playful series of dings which reverberated through the store obscured his footsteps as he passed ransacked shelves. He processed the scene before him when his pace came to an abrupt halt. A cocked eyebrow was the only response that could be managed.

"U-um. Karen? What is this plot device?" What was its maximum RPM, how many degrees of depression did it have vertically and horizontally, how quickly could it oscillate? Questions like these flooded his conscience as he took in the contraption more provisional than their future Quirk-generated ESD (electrostatic discharge). He shifted his worried gaze over to the girl, internally fighting the urge to overhaul the makeshift turret into a force of mass destruction.

Wait a second... was this thing loaded with rubber bullets?!

Garen von Strum & Gi Yamaguchi-Gumi

Let the Games Begin

Gi had missed the first day of school, figuring that getting there by 930am was pointless when class started an hour before. The next day he went in, he was told he was to be expelled but a check from a certain grandfather of an outstanding amount deterred that. A late "donation" for allowing his grandson to come and stay dispite a rough first day. What also helped him out was the busted eye that next day after the schools initial opening. Somewhat sympathetic, they allowed him to stay. He had simply introduced himself as Gi and nothing more, no hints to his quirk or is capabilities. Although, anyone who volunteered at the nurses office or in the SGA probably knew of his Yamaguchi-Gumi heritage and in turn the school would learn of it. It was rare that a boy from a notorious yakuza family slithered their way into a premiere hero school, let alone be allowed to stay but fortunately the way he described his background to some of the staff was he is only known to them by name and had no relations or affiliations to the mafia. The less they knew, the better. Of course, it would only be in time would they figure it out. Gi knew that many of his fellow classmates had some interesting takes on him. Despite his slight abrasive attitude and rebellious spirit, he showed a healthy dose of respect and manners to his classmates and staff, occasionally stepping out of line to let everyone know that he was still a teen, a slightly angsty one at that and here he was nearing the weekend and with his fellow classmates overwatching the multiple cameras with such interest it was inhuman. Every key notable change in combat and movement of the people were registering in his personal database of his subconscious. If one could guess, he was used to surveillance and intel gathering. They wouldn't be wrong there as he did in the past, mostly for Gramps to keep track of the movement and shipment of drugs and other shady businesses amongst fellow yakuza families. By the time the matches ended, a smirk remained etched onto his face with his lazy eyes complementing said look, giving him the appearance of a lackadaisical bliss.

The teacher spoke up and mentioned the names of the second round of heroes and villains and when told he was a hero, he chuckled and shook his head. As he did, he scanned the room at the "villains", looking for his target. His eyes then focused in on a few. Vanitas, Garen, Ender and Amelia.

"Oi!" He called out to them, gesturing to the four. He brought up a finger in the form of a gun and pointed to each one, bringing his thumb down to gesture being shot.

"Boom...Boom...Boom...Boom...You'll see me on the field..." He let his hand fall down to his side as he watched them leave, turning back to the rest with his eyes slightly hardened.

Garen had a rough start, his first day proving that and may have gained him a slight reputation of being clumsy but that changed over the weak, showing off the limits of his power. So much so that he had short circuited his brain on that Wednesday, and wound up as Samantha Lockeheart for the rest of the day. Ender, his new best friend, had videotaped that event in its entirety, managing to catch him trying to flirt with Gi who immediately clocked him, sending him to the nurse. Garen was not proud of that moment in his lifetime, even less so when he found the video on YouTube. Ender was chased through the school the rest of Thursday. But, sitting in the surveillance room, watching the others, he was excited, he was amazed and he was ready for his turn and once the teams were called he high-fived Ender.

TEAM THUNDER IN DA HOUUUUSE!!! Ready Otouto?" A bright smile on his face as he gave Ender a thumbs up. The "villain" team began to make their way out until Gi spoke up and made his gesture, a hidden threat amongst his words to which Garen narrowed his eyes before moving along. The city was definitely well made and replicated, even down to the few butts of cigarettes found on the corner. He listened to Mine and Ender, nodding silently while he walked down the street to a location. A coffee shoppe, a small one with the little fixings including the smell of fresh-

"I found coffee guys!" He stated as he began making a cup. As he did he thought for a moment and nodded to himself.

I could definitely shut down their communications but at the same time your risking ours as well and possibly our Teachers surveillance room. Just gimme the spot to unleash the EMP. Also, I think its best if we team up. It will make it harder for the enemy to take us on, especially if we pair ourselves with someone who complements us...Also Ender, do you think you can isolate the next part of this conversation so that the room doesn't hear us? Because I have an idea that involves a cage, and ALOT of electricity..." He smirked, taking a gulp of hot coffee by mistake, a loud yell starting and fading away in their mics as he ripped the earpiece out so not to destroy their eardrums.

~Mine Onada~

@Jedly@Animal@Kal-El@liferusher@FallenTrinity

Mine shoved open the door to the building, calmly walking inside. It was...quaint. Nondescript. It'd do very nicely. Now she just had to think of what she should do. So many possible scenarios, each with a plethora of possible outcomes. It was difficult to pick and chose which one was the best. Honestly, she was nervous. This was her first time in a live action scenario such as this. She had experience in simulations with video games, almost too much some would say, but this was a new experience. Still, she was confident and any nervousness she felt was quickly quelled by it.

"Moshi moshi! Too too roo, Ender-desu!"

Suddenly sound exploded in Mine's communicator. Someone was just a bit too excited for this perhaps.

As Mine began climbing the stairs to the top floors of the building, she listened to Ender blabber on about this and that. He was certainly a little chatterbox, wasn't he? Sort of adorable really, though that was nothing Mine was going to be saying to anyone. She let him talk, deciding it would be best not to interrupt for the moment. He knew his quirk better than she did, and it would be ill advised to try and jump in where she has very little knowledge. Like his suggestion of getting Garen's help, for example. That was something she hadn't thought of. A silly oversight, but she hadn't been sure how well their Quirks meshed.

Well then, it was certainly a sound plan if they could pull it off.

"...Coffee? Aside from your horrible taste in drink, I do not think now is the time for such luxuries." Mine offhandedly commented. "Try to at least take this seriously, Strum." It wasn't like she was actually their boss though, so there was fairly little she could do to actually reprimand him. "Do what you think is best, Kazetani. I would advise using this EMP of yours as soon as the Heroes are released, or at least as near to it as possible." As Mine reached the second to last floor in the building, she was feeling a bit out of breath. Athleticism had never been her particular strong point, but hopefully she could at least get into a bit of better shape here at Komei.

"As for the rest of you, do as you will. Keep your hostages safe and away from the enemy heroes at any cost, barring harm to the Hostage. I will be in touch, and remember to request back up if you are in trouble."

With that, Mine silenced herself from the communicator. No need to say anything else for the moment. She had to set up herself. What was the plan here, Mine? What could she do here, hmm? She didn't know the teleporter's capabilities so leaving the hostage alone was a bad idea. Conversely, letting it stay with her was also a bad idea. She was by no means an expert fighter and as soon as someone could get past her barriers then it was game over, man.

...hm. It might work. Their ultimate goal was to stall the Heroes, after all. Stepping out of the stairwell, she walked to the end of a hallway, opening one of the windows on it. After a quick look at its dimensions, it was definitely big enough for the clone to slide through. Well, she'd just have to get lucky then.

She headed up to the roof, clone in tow. It took a matter of seconds to set up, extending a forcefield over the edge of the building and setting the clone on it over the window. Next came the tricky part. She formed a box around the clone, the bright luminescent fields forming around it, making it quite easily visible from the street below. The small catch, was that there was a ramp under the floor that would cause the clone to fall into the hallway below if she had need of it.

Now she would just have to wait and see if any little heroes decided to come to her, and see if she could help any of her teammates as well. She'd quietly observe anything she could from here, and relay that information to them. Was hers the best plan? Most likely not, but she needed practice in direct confrontations, since she had almost none of it.

Kane Yoshida

Kane's eyes peered at each of the people as their names were called, trying to put a quirk to each of their names, and put together all the different possible synergies and combinations they could benefit from. Immediately he noticed Gi, a teammate of his, was trying some intimidation bullshit on the villains. He rolled his eyes, but shrugged since it didn't really matter. He shifted towards a timid girl, Anna, who was explaining her quirk to them. "Alright, a support could be really useful." He said thoughtfully. This girl clearly needed a confidence boost, so he figured he'd say anything he could to encourage her, so he figured he may as well indulge her.

"So what do you mean by stabilizing and destabilizing exactly?" He inquired. It sounded interesting, and could even potentially be useful. "To reiterate from earlier, I can control water in all it's forms. I have a water bottle on me, but not much besides that." He said, trying to make a pull for water in the air, but coming up pretty dry, with only his hands moistening. "In the future, I should be able to grab water right out of the air, but I'm not quite there yet."He exposited in an attempt to make his quirk sound less useless.

Kiwi

Once the students in the arena exited, the second round villains entered. Ken, Aki, and Sazama were taken to the nurse accompanied by Su-Mi and Ako. Once the reached the nurses office Aki and Sazama was placed on a bed while Ken was getting patched up to stop the bleeding on his right arm and his swollen ankle, the nurse gave Ako a sinister stare, she had remembered how the boy knocked her out earlier this week, she was upset that the Ako wasn't the one injure. "Too bad you weren't the one injured, but since your here I think now is the time to get that blood sample Kiwi said turning to her abnormally large needle in the corner. Nurse Kiwi's quirk was quite strange, she could release insects that can heal peoples wounds, pretty useful as the nurse. Soon Kens arm was like new, next was his ankle which had swelled up a lot. The insects travelled to his right ankle and began working, a couple minutes later the swelling reduced to normal size. Ken got up and moved his hand and ankles around, no pain but they were a little sore since the recovery time was sped up.

Next up To go was Aki who suffered damage all over including fatigue, though the area where he took a direct blast on his back was the worst. Kiwis insects began to cover Aki, his bruises slowly disappearing and his cuts all clotting up. The area on his back took the longest but soon it was disappeared, when he woke he would feel sore but for now he needed some sleep. Sazama didn't sustains damage but was more so just exhausted so not much was needed to do with her. Everyone else seemed fine, nurse Kiwi went over to her syringe, "Time for blood work everybody" she said with a wide grin.

Amelia

The week passed by quickly. Everyday, Amelia would attempt to eat something in class before it was immediately confiscated until lunch. It was brutal for her to wait so long to eat, but she guesses it must be one of the many harsh lessons she has to learn at the academy. There was nothing else noticeable about her other than that, she has yet to demonstrate her quirk in combat.

Amelia had never played the role of the villain before, even when she was little she preferred to being a cop over a robber. Having no choice in the matter, she decided to mentally switch her role. Protecting the clones from the oncoming horde of villains she thought. Screw being a villain! Especially when that Gi guy taunted their team with his gesture. After leaving the surveillance room with her team, it turns out her communication device wasn't properly connected and dropped to the ground. Oh no! She fell behind the rest of the group and rapidly pressed random buttons trying to get her device to work. Miraculously, it did.

"H-Hello? Ah! I can hear everyone now! I finally got this thing to work! Amelia reporting for duty!"

She managed to catch a conversation about coffee and looked at her surroundings hoping that she was not too far from her team. Her eyes then locked onto something of interest. Her eyes became somewhat glazed as she started to take small steps towards what she saw and tried to reach out to it. What was it she saw? It was none other than a pizzeria! Her body was pressed up against the glass window with drool trailing down the corner of her mouth. Her gluttony knows no end.

"Oh...my...god...I found pizza!!!" She shouted to her team in excitement. Amelia quickly ran inside and headed straight into the kitchen, praying if there were any frozen pizzas or meatballs she could simply heat up. That wouldn't be too hard...right? As it turns out, there is a cabinet style freezer in the back. This place wasn't be too bad to hide a clone.

Yes, this will definitely work for her! With a supply of food around, she can keep up her strength and outlast her opponent. Amelia emptied out the freezer of its frozen food along with its shelves and pushed her clone inside before locking the door. The clone wouldn't be close to freezing to death by the time this activity is finished, so she wasn't too worried about it. As a precaution, she changed the temperature settings on the freezer.

Shoko Iseki

Daichi followed Shoko's order almost more perfectly than she was expecting -- no hesitation as he blew through the roof door and leaped off the building, leaving the girl slightly dumbfounded as she awkwardly caught the stumbling clone Daichi pushed towards her before his jump.

Well, Sazama hadn't managed to escape Daichi's grip, so Shoko didn't have to enact her plan B; which was a relief, as the girl didn't think tossing one of the clones over the edge of the building to distract a hero was a particularly fun thing to do. Sure, she had checked to make sure there was a balcony only several feet from the roof, but still.

Getting her wits back, she grabbed the two clones and sprinted all the way down the stairs of the building, pushing through the front door out into the street. She looked to her left, gasping for air, to see Daichi unharmed and Sazama unmoving on the pavement.

A jolt of fear shot through her -- that was the one part of her plan she hadn't been sure about, but in the moment she didn't think too much on it. She knew the fall would be nothing to Daichi, but she wasn't sure how it'd effect her female classmate. Sazama was definitely more durable than she was, but by how much exactly, Shoko wasn't sure.

The girl let go of her hostages and ran over, pulling one of her gloves off as she dropped onto and scrapped her knees next to Sazama, immediately touching the other girl's neck, her quirk activating automatically...

And only bringing on a small wave of dull pain. Shoko's eyes widened as she studied Sazama face, realizing that she was simply sleeping, as she so often did. Dots connected in the her mind, piecing together that Sazama's sleeping habits had to do with her quirk, and clearly made her extremely durable.

Shoko breathed a deep sigh of relief, glad that she hadn't hurt her classmate. She glanced over to Daichi, climbing to her feet and pressing her hand against his sizable wrist, relieving him of the minimal pain caused by the fall as well.

"I, uh... sorry about asking you to do that," she said, smiling sheepishly. It didn't really matter how resilient the large boy was -- asking anyone to leap off a three-story building as forcibly as she did was probably not okay.

A moment after her apology, Yoshida-sensei's voice sounded over her communicator -- her team had won.

Another sigh of relief came out of the girl. She hadn't dragged her team down, despite not having made any use of her quirk until the end -- more than that, she even felt like she helped, if only in a small way. Daichi probably could've figured out a way to beat Sazama, but he did end up following Shoko's suggestion, which had to count for something.

Unsure what else to do, the girl fell hard on her rear, feeling herself relax for the first time that day. Soon enough, she saw the rest of the participants heading back to the starting zone together. Ken and Aki both looked very beat up, and she could guess how that'd happened. Before she could get up and join up with them, though, she spotted Ako joining her, Daichi, and the snoozing Sazama.

Shoko smiled and gave the boy a small wave, nodding as she saw him pick Sazama up. Taking her place on one side of the girl, she gave a small laugh at Ako's words.

"Since the heroes had a time limit, hiding would've worked too, I guess. That would've been fun, like a quirk-filled game of hide-and-seek."

"Too bad you weren't the one injured, but since your here I think now is the time to get that blood sample."

Shoko paused, her absentminded gazing around to take in the nurse's room interrupted. She glanced to the nurse, her expression darkening slightly. That was harsh, but the words seemed to fit the nurse's character, from what Shoko had seen so far. She spoke up, being careful not to overstep her bounds.

"It wasn't his fault." No need to name names beyond that bit of truth. "Besides, you... you were being unnecessarily creepy."

Maybe that last bit wasn't something she didn't have to say, but she felt she needed to preemptively excuse any blame that might get shifted to Daichi. Throwing something at anyone being that unsettling during their first day of school was pretty justified in her eyes. Well.. throwing another person was less justified, but panic did strange things to people.

The girl stayed quiet as she watched the nurse work, her quirk as strange as the woman using it. It was much like watching a car crash -- Shoko couldn't bring herself to look away as much as she may have wanted to. It wasn't that she was particularly afraid of bug or anything, but the thought of having so many crawling on her wasn't pleasant.

"Time for blood work everybody," the nurse said after she was done with Aki and Ken, her syringe in hand and her unsettling grin on her lips.

Shoko tightened up, glancing around for a second at her peers before immediately giving up on the hope of someone else volunteering -- not because she didn't think none of them would, but because the thought of delaying her turn for several minutes as everyone else went didn't seem like an attractive prospect either.

With a light sigh, she stepped forward, pulling up her left sleeve and taking a seat on one of the beds, glancing to the nurse expectantly.

Su-Mi Kim

Su-Mi was glad that Aki was ok. Though the round was a little disappointing on her part. She can only hope that she doesn't fail the test. She slumped in the office chair as she sighed. "This sucks...We are going to get a bad grade for doing nothing good...Ken was the only shot we had..goddamn that beautiful bastard" Su-Mi gave a little laugh but quickly felt sad again. She could have done so much better...Maybe...Oh god, she was clueless out there! She hid her face in her hands for a little bit as she inhaled deeply. She wants even paying attention to whatever was going on around her. All she knew was that everyone was going to be ok. "You're worthless sometimes...or all the time" her voice nagged. "You should have let me do what I do best.." Su-Mi held her head as she sighed. "Shut up your so annoying, why can't you just help me instead of going against me?" she said aloud. Su_mi quickly shrunk. "Uh sorry! I'm just...talking to..myself' she explained softly. But before she could even snap out of her daze she saw a huge syringe. She went pale. She remembered all the medications and shots she received when her schizophrenia was diagnosed..all the doctors...all the pills, gloves, disappointed looks. She itched at the smell of the very office itself. She tried to calm herself but how could she?! The stark white walls haunted her dreams, Su-Mi shivered as she quickly tensed up. "Oh, hell no..Not that again..No no no!" her voice panicked just as Su-Mi did. She shook uncontrollably as she hyperventilated. She shook her head continuously. "no no please be joking" she held her head as she tried to calm herself.
