As far as symbiosis... I hope you don't mind me saying this, but we've had a lot of people apply then drop after 2-3 posts, and I wouldn't want to tie my character up with yours that intimately until after you've proven you're sticking around.

@TheWindel Eh, I've got other characters. And, the gifts were still fun for me to think up, even if as a whole it failed at cheering Miyu up.

@Inner Demon Well, I'd say the best way to do so would be to stick around for awhile. Have your character actually play for awhile. While you might match up with Miyu, who knows, you might find someone else you like.

Alrighty! I work during the day and have weekends off. When I can't respond to IC, I have my phone so I can still participate in OOC. With all the holidays and new years crap done, my time is finally mine again so I'm not going to be going anywhere til mid October. Ironically enough, someone actually dodged on me in the last roleplay I was in. (they ended up being too busy.) But before they did, we were able to get some character development in. For example, I'm pretty sure you've got the go ahead from one GM so far, so you need to wait for KoL to also give the go ahead. You can't actually start roleplaying yet.

Also, if you don't like that I don't trust you just yet, by all means, throw that Beast at someone else. You're not restricted to me just because someone suggested it. You could wander around looking for an owner.

What? No no no I'm fine with you or whoever! I completely understand needing proof. Hundreds of starving topics across the world die everyday because of random droppers. I just figured the best way to do that is to get another character up. It kills some birds with some stones. After I've gotten however many posts up to prove to you(or anyone interested in adopting the giant metal puppy) that I'm not going anywhere any time soon, Then maybe I can bring Beast in and start role playing with him. However Beast is pretty incapable of going on by himself for longer than a couple posts. His character, the development, abilities, even his ability to communicate all happen through a host entity. In hindsight, that's probably why its been so hard for me to find a roleplay he'll fit into. I didn't mean to seem like I disliked anything you said. ^_^'

@Inner Demon Maybe it's just because I'm a cat person, but having a permanent life companion attached to you before you can get to know said permanent life companion is a bit... sudden. I can imagine that would make it difficult for you to find a willing player.

Usually when people roll such symbiotic characters, they play both the host and the symbiote themselves as one combined character.

@The 42nd GeckoYou are absolutely right. It's hard to have a character that you put thought and effort into be halted because of a failed attempt at a interaction or cooperating with someone else. But when I was just a young one lining free roleplayer, I bared witness to a relatively perfect symbiotic relationship between two characters to make one-ish. (Long story short it was a bleach roleplay and one person was another's zanpakuto) I wasn't savvy enough to tell if it was actually two people or just one person on two accounts for whatever reason...but it seemed pretty epic at the time. Anyway the concept itself is what intrigues me. Yes you're right. Most characters like this have their counterparts all played by the same person. Hell that may even be more effecting in character development for most. But I think there is some unique brand of fun to be had in a cooperatively made character. So, like those thrill seekers who go bunjie jumping off of cliffs for the thrill, I decided to make a character like that. Beast was born. Now I'm Tossing beast off a cliff and into the whims of another player and their character. (well trying to)

Nope! Beast has no malicious intent or side effects like that, other than sucking the life out of you. He's just a sword without a knight. The demon he was made from has no will of its own other than to protect and defend in the most efficient way it can.

In my own little world (the crazy one in my head) The demon has some tragic backstory where it was in love, and then lost. So it went berserk before being quote unquote killed. Found by magical scientists, rebuilt like robocop, and then made into a weapon of war to be used against its own kind in a battle for the solar system. The protectiveness it had toward its old love subtly bleeds through in its programming as it bonds with its host, in the later stages of the story, confusing the host as its lost love before entering the guardian matrix in overdrive or going berserk again.
