Appearance: Bright red hair, adorned with small ribbons to make two pigtails. Thick black glasses over her green eyes, and while her teeth shine rather brightly, they're also adorned by some rather gaudy braces. Her shoes don't really matter much, she mostly just wears slippers, maybe boots if she wants to look experienced or "ready". She's also usually wearing some sort of vest, and a white shirt under it, although the colors tend to vary, of course. As for bottoms, she tends to default to either a short skirt, or a slightly-longer skirt. She's not a very varied girl. Just a very tad bit pudgy. Just a bit. Super self conscious about this though.

Biography: A young, gifted girl, Gertrude was raised under a rather well-off family, with a loving mother and father, and a younger sister who, while had a few irritating traits, was far from the worst possible child. Although, there might've been just a small bit of favoritism to Trudy, but it wasn't anything, right?

Trudy's lifestyle was... dubiously healthy, however. She didn't have too many friends, and instead chose to isolate herself, to enamor herself in whatever subject she was interested in; usually either math or science. It sort of led to her becoming a bit socially stunted, but more on that later. Eventually, one of her longtime friends tried to convince her to come out for once, enjoy the outdoors, a good camping trip will do her good.

The trip, for all intent purposes, went poorly. After an incident with a number of contradicting claims from those around her, Gertrude was left paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of her life. For a few months, this devastated the young girl, leaving her in a state of despair and shock. However, eventually, she came to realize: this wasn't even remotely close to a setback, more like a minor annoyance to her. She wouldn't let this get her down, not for an instant! With a new vigor, and a new spirit, Trudy knew what she had to do: Set out across the world, explore every inch of it, make notes that'll blow every scientist's mind, become this generation's Einstein! With a heartfelt farewell to her parents, and a... rather awkward one with her sister, Gertrude set out on her new quest, her self-dubbed "Scientific Journey".

Personality: A vibrant, upbeat, and headstrong girl, almost to a fault. No, really, she's honestly sort of annoying about it. Thankfully, she's friendly enough, she just finds making friends difficult, tends to hog the conversation if she can, talks in long rambles, with a rather hefty vocabulary. She tries to be fearless, the best she can, but once her actual life's threatened, she starts to sweat JUST a bit. It oftentimes seems impossible to sour her mood, although it's very possible. Trudy also fashions herself as a genius, and indeed, there's a rather strong argument for this; her grades are excellent, and she has a keen intuitive. If there's one thing that might define her, it's her near-obsessive love for science, chemistry in particular, although she's rather keen on biology, as well. Although, those aren't her only interests. She's got a strong fondness for ANIME and MANGA, as well as various stage-plays, almost always of the typical feelgood, almost diabetes-inflicting style, stuff like Mary Poppins and such. Lastly, she's also rather interested in tabletop RPG's, DnD and Pathfinder and such. Overall, Trudy is a jolly, intelligent, and friendly girl, eager to further her career.

... of course, the apple ain't so shiny on the other side. Behind all of this, even if it's just a small bit, is doubt. Doubt, loathing, hate. She knows her injury is going to limit her for the rest of her life. She knows she's almost friendless. Her sister hates her, she knows this. Trudy's the perfect daughter, the genius, the one to change the future, not her! She knows she can't fix this, and perhaps this is why she left, ultimately, even if she doesn't know it, to get away from her failure as a sister. Even with her feelings towards herself, she knows she can't stand others. People who have no patience for her endeavors, her breakthroughs! Mindless idiots, all of them! She knows what they think, she's crazy, she probably has a torture chamber for her experiments, even though all she's doing is, at worst, watching something happen! She could never hurt a living thing, she's a pacifist! By God, she could never DREAM of such a thing! But no, they hate her. Hate her motor mouth, hate her looks, hate her for her fake vigor, hate her for her weakness.

But she won't let that stop her. Losing her legs hardly did, after all.

Biography:An eccentric woman, Des has always been a loner. Her only piece of identification is a beat up pokedex. Nothing is known about her past, only that she drifts from town to town, helping pokemon in need. She is rarely seen in the company of other people, only pokemon, and according to the rumour mill she can even understand them. Some say she's dangerous and steer clear, while others warmly welcome her whenever she comes by.

Personality:When in the presence of humans she seems detached and disillusioned, though she is neither cold or callous. She can act friendly, though don't expect her to be your friend. Des greatly prefers the presence of pokemon. When around them she takes on a more warm, motherly disposition.

Name: Aether Foundation

HQ: Central City

Mission Statement: "We work to protect the habitats of Pokémon, and nurse Pokémon harmed by illicit activity to health. We dedicate our studies to the topics of Pokémon ecosystems, as well as the creatures known as Ultra Beasts that a separate branch of the foundation has become entangled with in a previous incident, in order to better understand our ecological relationship with Pokémon and the world.”

Organization History: The Aether Foundation has multiple branches; the one in Alola was just one of many. This is yet another branch of the Foundation, one recently dispatched in the wake of the incident involving the President. Since the incident, the Aether Foundation has moved past those shady dealings and put more focus on their initial goal. They utilize tools such as very-large floating structures to construct suitable habitats for hurt Pokémon to recover, before releasing them back to their habitats.

Other than that, this chapter of the Foundation does a lot of field work, and dispatches Aether trailers out to different areas of the region to perform studies on the Pokémon and their natural habitats, and how human activity affects those habitats. As a result of the incident, subversive or criminal activity within the Foundation is absolutely not tolerated, and those who engage in criminal activities are reported on and then swiftly booted from the organization. They have seen what that sort of poison has done to the Foundation in the past, and they do not want that as part of their legacy.

The Foundation has since remained open to people willing to help Pokémon, and has encouraged young Trainers to learn as much about Pokémon and Pokémon ecology as possible so as to better understand the relationship between humans and Pokémon.

The branch manager of this sector is Theodosia Wong, a lean woman with jet black hair and frameless spectacles, with a kind disposition. Given the Foundation's history, Theodosia is very cautious about the behavior of the Foundation members.

Biography: The modest Carvers don't consider themselves particularly well-off, but if the family could name its proudest achievement, it's raising their girl Charlotte into a determined young woman. Raised on hard work and love for what she's passionate about, Charlotte spent most of her life around Pokémon, learning every aspect of the species around her. She always found fascinating the way that Pokémon ecosystems functioned, and decided that was what she wanted to study. Charlotte has a few friends she keeps up with on social media; they were close friends, important to her.

Charlotte was given a Pokédex and Poké Ball as a high school graduation gift; it was in this ball that she captured and befriended her first Pokémon, a Grubbin. Perhaps it was a bit rocky getting off with the electricity-eating insect, but eventually she and Grubbin grew close. While she was concentrating on her studies, she often would go out as part of research to observe other Pokémon, which is how she caught the other Pokémon in her party.

Eventually, her studies led to a promising internship at the Aether Foundation, where she began to extensively study, and help research, the habitats of Pokémon. It involved a lot of field work, of course, but Charlotte always enjoyed that. For some reason, people began to treat her with a little suspicion during her time at Aether, but she never let that deter her from her studies. She wants to find a way to help Pokémon restore habitats, and admires the way that most people respect Pokémon (after all, would you develop the land around a volcano if a pissed-off Turtonator were to come by and melt your bulldozers to slag?).

Personality: Charlotte is usually very focused. However, whenever she can, she likes to unironically crack terrible puns about Pokémon and Pokémon moves. She remains calm even in the harshest conditions, for her internship's field work had taken her from volcanoes to the middle of the ocean. She is well-traveled, but also a little fussy about her research, and does not like being interrupted. However, when she is finished with her task at hand, she is happy to chat. She does not get jittery around Pokémon, and handles the creepiest-crawliest Bug-types without batting an eyelid. However, some people might call her a little too focused on her work, perhaps to such an extent that she doesn't notice what's around her. She's also a little sensitive about what she does; she doesn't want her hard work shuffled under the rug and outright disregarded.

Mission Statement: We seek to discover the truth behind this world's myths and legends. We help each other in our quests to find these wondrous beings for all manner of reasons.

Organization History: Legendwatch is a fairly recent society, founded by myth and legend enthusiast Jason Ackerman as a way to unite people intrigued by the stories of the world. Many locations around the region have folktales of some kind attached to them, and members of this guild take it upon themselves to investigate these rumours.

Some do so out of curiosity, some out of a desire for help, others in hope of capturing these Pokemon as Master rank trainers. Whatever their reason, though, this guild allows people to assist each other and learn together about the most elusive of Pokemon.

Appearance: A tall young man with scruffy dark hair and green eyes, Jason more often than not carries himself with a confident stride. His clothing is casual, usually consisting of a red T-shirt with a black dragon silhouette on it, a loose-fitting black jacket, and a simple pair of blue jeans. His tanned skin bears numerous small scars from his more reckless moments.

Biography: Jason was always someone with a vivid imagination. Living in Central City, he spent much of his childhood in the library owned by his parents, engrossed in stories about the myths and legends of the world. He dreamed of adventures of his own, adventures that would take him to the magnificent beings he read about.

This got him laughed at a great deal by his peers. In school, people sneered at his love of books and learning. As he gathered up torn, scattered pages in the hallway while enduring his classmates' taunts, Jason resolved to prove everyone wrong about him. He'd have the last laugh once he became a Pokemon Master, and encountered the beings from his favourite legends.

Over time, the book-loving, imaginative boy became a bold and adventurous young man, cultivating a daring personality in an attempt to earn respect, before setting out into the world with a Pokeball and Pokedex. His journey allowed him to meet other people with similar goals, and it wasn't long until he founded his own organisation.

Legendwatch started out as an amateur project before developing into something bigger, becoming an official Poke Corp organisation aiming to bring together people intrigued by the world's legends. Not that Jason minds the responsibility. His position as a leader means people look up to him. Although some warn him of stories in which people's pride gets them in over their heads, setting them up for a fall...

Personality: The first impression people usually have of Jason is that of a reckless goofball, often running headlong into situations that his Pokemon have to drag him out of. While this isn't an unfair description, he does show a more serious, responsible side when he's researching a legend, or focusing on running his guild. He's academically smart, just lacking in common sense.

Although set on his goal, he's able to put it aside to help others. He recognises that some other Legendwatch members have more noble goals than his own, such as to seek out a legendary or mythical to help a loved one, or protect the legendaries from people who try to use them for malevolent ends. Respecting this, he'll assist them in their quests - though when they no longer need his help, he'll return to his own.

Extra Info: He has a particular liking for Dragon types, as well as Pokemon with a lot of folklore surrounding them.

Appearance: A tiny, unassuming girl, Florence stands at 5'2", often with her shoulders hunched and her hazel eyes cast down. She ties her chestnut-brown hair back from her face in a braid. She usually wears simple, knee-length dresses in earthy colours, or if she wants something more practical for exploring, blouses and jeans.

Biography: Florence grew up with little idea what she wanted to do. Her sister Chloe, by far the most vibrant and outgoing one, was the one who planned to help with their parents' berry farm by selling produce, leaving the timid, quiet younger sibling feeling as if she had few options other than assisting in the garden.

This led her to venture out, trying to force herself to be more adventurous and experience the world outside of the farm. One day, while walking with her sister along the outskirts of Feyhollow, she found a Pokemon at the edge of the forest. A Chikorita, sickly pale, barely moving, the leaf on her head dull and wilted. Florence rushed her to the Pokemon centre, where she stayed by her side throughout her recovery.

When the newly-healthy Chikorita decided to stay with her rather than returning to the wild, that was when Florence, aged sixteen at the time, realised what life path she wanted to take. Finding fulfillment in caring for Pokemon, she decided she'd train to become a Pokemon nurse. She took on a part-time job assisting in the Pokemon centre, and when she left school, she took her studies further.

Throughout these years, though, a problem became clear. As much as she wanted to emulate the nurse's friendly, bubbly attitude, she never felt her own personality was quite suited to working at a front desk, facing the public and comforting worried trainers. Even after completing her studies, she couldn't help feeling they may have come to nothing.

Luckily, her sister gave her a way to follow a slightly different version of her dream. Knowing how close Florence's bond with the Chikorita was, Chloe presented her with a Pokedex and Pokeball. Instead of helping Pokemon as a Pokecentre nurse right away, she'd be able to help them by travelling as a trainer, building her confidence along the way, and some day reaching her goal.

Personality: The best way to describe Florence is like a folded Cherrim. She's usually quiet and shy to the point of seeming aloof, but the longer she spends with someone, the more she'll open up. She finds this easier to do with Pokemon than with humans.

A pacifist for the most part, Florence is more of a supporter than a battler. Instead of fighting and weakening wild Pokemon to catch them, she prefers to try and befriend them, though her shyness can get in the way of this and it's usually her Chikorita who does the befriending. She's not completely averse to battling, though, and will do so if she has to, or if one of her Pokemon shows a desire to fight.

Despite her timidity, she's by no means a weak person. In a crisis, she often shows a different side, knowing what to do and taking action while others are panicking. Highly determined, once she takes up a task, she'll stick to it.

Extra Info: As well as knowing quite a lot about how to heal and look after Pokemon, she knows basic first aid for humans, and always carries around a medical kit. Her team will consist of many Grass types, and Pokemon associated with healing or caring for others.
