@Lord Szall Scar and I did piratepad some prefer post by post plus were in a battle royale with the ability to interrupt so that's one thing

@Satoshi Kyou My mind was trying to figure out how to get around Timing Etiquette, but I suppose PM-ing your turn and getting feedback for if they'll activate an effect in between is another solution.

Changing Decks: A player is allowed to swap out cards within their deck at any time before and after a duel, however can only do it once after each duel they are in, and the change must be approved. Additional deck changes can be rewarded depending on story relevance (the character acquires a plot-relevant card).

@Scarifar want some help? Maybe lua can use his connections to give you what you need.

Besides, Carnel has no reason to just suddenly change his deck.

@Scarifar Fair enough. Still, it could be that your character wants a new deck and brings it up around Lua, who takes it to heart and gets him more cards. Even if your character doesn't really want them.

The neat thing about Link monsters is that you can use Xyz monsters to go into them. I'd like to see more of the mechanic. The thing that it really fucks over is people who like using Quaking Mirror Force/Book of Moon/Invoked Raideen. Also that one dude who still has enemy controller for some reason.

They're not like Cyber Darks in that the attached monsters are still monsters.

Also, I like the concept of Link Markers in that they might make zone control a thing again.

The change in the Pendulum Mechanic I think was needed tbh. It's a much needed nerf, definitely. Maybe now all the performages can be printed.

The people who are really screwed over are D/D/D users because of that extra monster zone you have to scramble to get; it certainly makes D/D/D much less playable in that you can't summon to summon. But hey, maybe we'll see a D/D link monster printed.

Oh! And because the "main" monster zones can only be used by main deck monsters now, it makes over-limit accel synchro impossible unless we get a link monster with 5 of those markers.

Other extra deck monsters that lock, such as Scarred Warrior or Ghostrick Socuteboss can't do so as effectively anymore, seeing as you can only have one of them out.

I mean Cyberdark Impact. The whole Senet Switch, Blasting fuse, Alien infiltrator... those whole ilk of cards.

Link monsters are cool, they add this whole mechanic of zone presence. People can now start playing monsters into specific zones if they think their opponent has a card that uses that zone already, which adds player interaction. Suddenly ojamas get a buff, for controlling the zones your opponent can and can't use.

It has potential, sure, but the fact that they've completely nerfed everything that existed before to get to it is... wow. It's impressive, i'll give them that. Subterrors, Kozmo, Yosenju, Monarchs, and Kaijus are the new meta now.
