Tekkan whimpered slightly as Fyodor scolded him for his behavior, watching his boss say his piece to Yuryuu and boot up his duel disk.

"L-Leader..." the white-haired youth began to warn the biker as he backed away from the scene. "D-Don't be fooled by his number of life points. I had 300 less than what you have right now, and he still kicked my ass." It was at this point that, after saying his piece, Tekkan ran back towards campus, yelling back towards his master with another warning.

"DON'T TAKE HIM LIGHTLY, LEADER! BEWARE THE DRAGONS' TEMPER!"

Yuryuu accepted his opponent's terms. He followed along the dirt road from which he had chased Tekkan to this location. The more they walked back, the more he tried to wrap his head around the biker's words. Was he, then, not a student from the Academy? Tekkan seemed to have ran up ahead, while the two strode back to the front of the Saotome Dueling Institute.

As they reached the entrance, Yuryuu stopped and pointed at the Biker. "This is far enough. If you truly expect others to come and find you, I'd rather the victor between us be decided before anyone interrupts, if that works for you. We seem to be away from wherever Tekkan met up with you..." Yuryuu had trouble coming up with the words to describe his opponent. He had never met such an Enigmatic Duelist in his life. His duel disk, especially, was a sight to behold.

Footsteps could be heard- someone was running, and from around the building towards the trio. As the runner came closer, it was revealed it was a woman in a black blazer, dress shirt, tie, and skirt combo, her shoes slightly scuffed probably from having run towards them.

"Are the three of you still in the Gauntlet? If so, I'll need some help. There's been a call for help on the campus and all the other campus supervisors are busy. I'm not a great duelist and I'll only be a liability. According to security cameras, the violence appears to be between two students in the Gauntlet. If at least one of you is still in it, we could really use your help in solving the case." she rushed her explanation, panting, trying to catch her breath.

"Tch!" Yuryuu had no idea how to handle the sudden interruption. An official member of the Duel Institute was asking for assistance, meaning this went beyond his battle with the Biker. He hesitated, but then making up his mind he looked towards his "would-be" opponent. "This isn't over. I'll find out from Tekkan your intentions and return to duel you, mark my words!" He then set his Duel Disk to standby and stepped away, over to the woman. "I'll assist you in anyway I can. Let's go."

The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell made note of the information his acolyte was 'warning' him about. Yuryuu then stopped after following him fairly close to the school grounds. He turned back towards Yuryuu and spoke, "Ah so you did hear parts of my Sermon, yes he vowed his soul to the cause. Why didn't you say so earlier. As for the interruption..." He paused dramatically as he turned his helmet to the sound of the footsteps, "Afraid to say, the company has arrived." Striding towards the woman, The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell's featureless gaze was upon her.

"Well should be part of it." Konstantinovich offhandedly remarked. As she brought up the fact she was from campus, but for reasons not related to his cause, there was certainly an expression under The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell's helmet. But that expression was between him and the Devil.

He approached her closely and used his left hand to flick at her hair, "Oh there, there. Calm and relax yourself. Let the star of the morning shine brightly upon your being. You have made this treacherous journey not for your supervisors; but you made it instead for your own enlightenment. Speak your name and share the details of your case, and that of your Supervisors, to me. When the times allow for myself to be carried away in investigation work, I am one damn good detective."

He paused for a moment to reflect on the words of Yuryuu, "You won't have the slightest bit of trouble learning of my intentions I assure you."

Tekkan stopped dead in his tracks as soon as the woman came from around the corner. Bringing his running feet to a screeching halt and stopping mere inches away from this supposed staff, he pointed towards Yuryuu, panting heavily.

"The biker dude and I are both out of the tournament," the youth said in between heavy breathing. "But that other kid is still in. Only has 1200 Life Points, though."

Maneuvering around the (admittedly attractive) lady, Tekkan went back to running around campus in search of people to convert. "I'll catch you later, Leader!" the white-haired youth called back to Fyodor. "Good luck on your side of the mission!"

"Ooooh! I GET it now!"

The girl pointed a triumphant finger at her opponent.

"YOU'RE one of those pe~ople Partner talks about! What did he CALL them, ag~ain..?"

The child pondered for a short while as Elly did her card voodoo, unwittingly giving her time to set up her combo.

"Right, that was- oh, you're STILL going. Kinda rude, au~ntie. Hold on~"

She stopped and tapped the duel disk a couple times before flinging her arm outwards in a kabuki-like pose.

"I activate MACRO COSMOS in re~sponse to that summon! This card BANISHES a~ll your friends instead of sending them to the grave, o~kay?"

And just like that, all cards destroyed as part of the combo were banished from their respective places. All that remained was that unusual new card, though it only had a downright pitiful 1600 attack now.

"Right, ri~ght, NOW I remember! You're a person who 'thinks she's more clever than she really is', right? I'm gues~sing you thought you had already WON, right? Am I ri~ght? I'm RIGHT, aren't I?"

She drew a card.

"DON'T worry, though! I might NOT be as TOUGH as Partner, but that doesn't me~an I'm STILL not rea~lly strong~ and that goes double against someone who can't pay attention! Now I dun~no WHAT that weird pre~tend MONSTER you're using is, but I'm gon~na make it go a~way, OKAY? DARK HOLE!"

The pit dimmed to deepest black, and when the light returned Anabel was simply... gone. As if it had never existed. The wind picked up shortly after, bringing with it the familiar dust storm.

"Ka-POW! Lean a~nd CLEAN. For my next trick, I summon two brothers: Yosenju Tsujik and Yosenju Kama 1! Now, Kama 1 has a special power of his own, but I can't make use of it right now. Do~n't you worry, though; I'm sure I'll get the chance to do it soon!"

When the dust cleared, there stood two weasels, wielding a sickle and a sword, respectively.

"MORE im~por~tant~ly, though, it's time for ano~ther FULL FORCE attack! Go, Kama 1! Tsujik, raise YOUR attack and come from be~hind!"

They appeared from either side in the blink of an eye, Kama 1 going for Elly's jugular with the sickle as Tsujik laid its blade bare against her lumbar region.

"You should be more AWARE in a battle of speed, au~ntie! I've never even lost to PARTNER in a ra~ce, and you can be SURE I'm not about to lo~se to YOU!"

Ending her turn, both Yosenju jumped back to the hand.

Elly was diced by the Yosenju and she fell to the ground, getting dirt all over her clothing. Elly picked herself up and drew her last, only to turn silent from a dead draw.

Amazing.

She muttered profanities under her breath. Just her luck, facing the deck that counters hers perhaps more than any other in the world. Not even anti-meta decks are this bad. At least those do poor life-point damage.

Even so, as much as she hated losing, Elly prided herself on never being a sore loser. Elly pressed the button on her duel disk to surrender and all at once the field dissolved.

No, now it was time for proper revenge. Elly walked up to her opponent with a menacing gait. My god, did she hate them, and she was about to show her hatred the way she knew best.

"Good game! Vanity's Cosmos aside, it was pretty fun! Not bad for an excruciatingly whiny abortion like yourself!" She would casually put a hand on their shoulder, leaning on them slightly. "I'd love to duel you again sometime, but I don't think we'll be able to. A promise is a promise my dear. I really don't take rudeness lightly." With a level of self-awareness that invokes Poe's law, she steps away with a cheeky smile and continues. "Now, as much as you might love resembling a pile of human garbage, I'd hate to have you in my presence any longer, so I suggest you lead the way out unless you want to further mar your reputation."

Rumi was a bit surprised to hear the large number and started to count up life points though she was unsure of matt's but assumed it was still about 6000 to 7000 "I only have 7100 life points" Rumi said "I did say Tag Duel but... well the point of this is that it's a free for all right?" Rumi asked raising her concern while scratching her head after thinking too much "I honestly I don't mind just doing a regular duel. instead, if we can't have another duelist to go with us we'll just have to find another way to do this, Right?" Rumi said still lost in thought and snapped her fingers "How about we all duel against that 1 person!" Rumi said out of nowhere after standing still thinking too much, not really remembering the kid's name but also forgetting to think about the kid's thoughts himself

The woman who was apparently a campus supervisor lead the pair of the damned (good) detective and the other student to a duel which had apparently just ended. She huffed and puffed, hair in a mess as she looked up at Elly and the mysterious, sexually ambiguous character before her. "Damn. I'm late." she panted. The woman pointed out toward Elly. "You. Stay there. You," the woman pointed at the other person, "duel him." She pointed at Yuryu.

"Girl," she caught her breath and walked slowly towards Elly, "you called campus security right? The cameras suggested that you in fact had not been touched by anybody. We take false accusations very seriously at this school... but. You! You're still not off the hook for destruction of property. But I'll make you a deal. If you can beat this guy, I'll let you off the hook. Deal?"

@The book of bad juju

"Hmph. So you did not have it. Forgive Us for Our rudeness." the cultist bowed his head. He pulled a card out of his pocket and placed it on his duel disk. "We will not be seeing each other again. Not as far as We am concerned." he said, before disappearing in a bright flash of light.

The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell most certainly had an expression underneath his helmet as he was not informed of the details of the cases of her supervisors, or even the name of this underling. But that expression was just between him and the Devil. The Enigmatic Soul clad in the riddles of black walked towards the pit and pointed towards Yuryuu as the goon, who probably disappointed her supervisors at some-point or another, gave the speech.

"Sooooo, do you need my services? I'll collect statements but if you have no important information to share about your case, or the status of your supervisors, the situation doesn't seem to behoove me staying here." spoke the possibly-on-another-mystery Demonic Detective, and always Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell.

Yuryuu was very close to agreeing with the Biker. Looking at his next opponent, Yuryuu couldn't help feeling slightly cheated. He closed his eyes for a moment, accepting that he told her he would assist the suit-clad woman in any way he could. Trying to hide his disappointment, he focused on what she said about the girl in front of him destroying property, meaning that in some way his being brought here was of some importance.

Then, as he brought his duel disk out of standby, he realised that he could feel a similar vibe about this girl that he got after defeating Tekkan. what's going on? Yuryuu thought to himself, as he faced Hattori with slight confusion. With the idea that this girl might prove to be a challenge, Yuryuu's temper went up. "Forgive me, I almost forgot why I was here.... My name is Sikao Yuryuu." He stated to his opponent. "You may address me as Yuryuu. I've been pulled away from my last duel to come here, so forgive me if I let out my frustrations on you..." Yuryuu finished with a glare, not directed at Hattori, but clearly at the situation he had been put in. As his deck reshuffled form within his duel disk, he waited on his opponent's reply.

At Elly's forfeit, the girl fed her cards back into her deck. There was a quiet click as a small counter on the side of the girl's Duel Disk ticked up. With Partner's recent victory, that made 17 in all. Good progress.

Then this gaggle of weirdos showed up.

"MAN, you guys respond FAST, don'tcha?", the little girl said, slapping Elly's hand away as Elly tried to strangle a ten year old in the spirit of good sportsmanship. Leaping away from the rich foreigner, the child used one of the supports embedded in the wall as a springboard, standing nearly horizontal for a moment before leaping further upwards and catching hold of the pits edge. In seconds, she had hauled herself up the side and in front of the officials.

"Hey, HEY, do~n't you WORRY, though~... It's a~ll UP to CODE. If any~thing, YOU should be than~king ME, grand~ma! Pitfalls THIS nice don't just APPEAR over~night, you KNOW? Any~way..."

She paced around the group slowly, hunched over, thinking. Her hand hovered over a small switch on the back of her duel disk. Then, thinking better of it, she pulled her hand away and straightened up.

"...Well, Partner DID tell me to clean up any mes~ses I made, so I sup~pose I CAN'T turn you DOWN, ri~ght? So WHICH am I fight~ing? Mis~ter Helmet, maybe..?"

A vein popped on Yuryuu's forehead, but he tried to be patient. "Aren't you paying attention? I'm the one you are dueling!" Yuryuu declared, feeling rather silly that he was dueling someone acting so Laid Back about dueling. It stung. It reminded him about how his brother often was.

Luckily, he knew how to handle his temper with these kinds of people. His deck went click as his disk has finished shuffling. "In case you missed it, call me Yuryuu. Would you care to make a move or shall I?"

Elly had to stop and look around her before concluding that, yes, this woman was talking to her. "Are you sure you have the right person?" Elly said as a wicked smile creeped onto her face. "Because I know you didn't just say you had cameras that could see this pitfall as it was being built." Elly folded up her duel disk with another horrific screech and crossed her arms. "That's a pretty messed up thing for campus security to let happen under their watchful eye, wouldn't you say? Why, just letting one of your students fall down here could constitute a lawsuit." Elly's face gradually approached a singularity of smugness. "And the first thing that's said to her when she's rescued is that she's a liar? I wonder what the media would think of this." Elly shakes her head. "If you had cameras, you would have known that I was grabbed when the pitfall swallowed me, but that's not that important." Elly walks back to stand directly in front of the woman. "The phone-call was a result of a misunderstanding of course, but not once did I say I was 'touched'. If you had some sick misinterpretation, that's your problem, not mine."

Matt shrugged carelessly, "Well Martin, you up to beating three people at once? With a deck that can win with that many Life Points I imagine you'll come out ahead. If not I can duel you on my own and we can leave the other two to duel with themselves, finish things off with a winner versus winner. What's it going to be?" He asked, a lazy smile on his face. Matt wanted to see what Martin's deck did, it seemed interesting. He didn't really expect to win or anything, simple curiosity. "On and Rumi 'that 1 person' is named Martin. People generally prefer to be called by their name." His joking tone indicated he didn't think it was a big deal simply a minor correction.

He vanished, leaving Aya lying on the floor where she'd been since Royal Guard had attacked her. She had a nice little moment to think, down there amongst the table legs. Mostly she just pouted. She kept replaying the last turn in her head, trying to figure out what she could have done with her hand, meager as it had been. Could she have used a different Kaiju, she thought. Something that could have stopped that play in it's tracks? Mmm, no. Not without some brainbending use of twin twister on her own cards or some magic like that. She idly scooped her deck from off the ground, shuffling them all back into her hands into one big pile of face-ups and face downs.

Lets try again. She drew 5 cards, experimentally. No kaijus in her hand, but it was easy to see what to play. Terraforming into Kyoutow, Other terraforming to add a counter, Trade-in her Barbaros, which would give her... A Sacred Sword of Seven stars and a level seven machine. Rinse and repeat, and add a kaiju into her hand with Kyoutow. Summon Metaion the timelord, and use it's effect to float past Interrupted Kaiju Slumber, give her opponent Doggie while she got a Big Dragon thingie. Summon Exodius. Summon Malefic Cyber end dragon. Xyz Jizu and Metaion into Dora Summon the Turtle in her hand. Xyz Malefic Cyber end dragon into Tarantula into Pain gainer into Seven Sins. Now she had a three strong, powerful monsters, with the ability to negate almost every effect in the game. She could have won. And she could have won with some of the spookiest and rarest cards anyone knew about all stacked on top of each other like an occult battery; Exodia, Malefic, and Three Numbers all in a row. It would have been sweet. Textbook. So why didn't it ever go off the way it should?

Aya spent a good long while in that classroom, admiring her cards. Until the cold of the floor began to seep into her back and give her an ache, which took her mind off spiders and dragons. She got up off the floor, stretching a little as she did. Mister sun cultist was nowhere in sight. She probably would never admit it to anyone, but being told that she wasn't the sun-goddess he was looking for... That hurt. Like being told you weren't the dalai llama, only more of that. She didn't fancy spending the rest of her life as a four legged furry animal in india somewhere. Llama don't even get to play card games.

She shut the door behind her, and milled around lost in thought for a long time.

The angry shrieks of Elly's desperate scramble for relevance rang out of the pit, but the kid payed it no mind. After all, you couldn't very well file a lawsuit against someone if you didn't know who they were. More importantly, what game were these chumps playing? Normally, the child would assume they had been working with the foreign girl currently stuck in a pitfall, but she seemed just as confused. Better to just play along for the moment.

"Al~right, al~right, ni~ce to meet you, Your-You!", the child responded, suppressing a giggle, "And you know WHAT? I ju~st might take you UP on that opffhyehyehyehyeh!"

The kid pointed at Yuryuu and let out a high-pitched cackle that sounded like what one would have expected from a grossly oversized rodent.

"EHEHEHYEHYEHYEHYEHYEH!"

She was nearly doubled over, squatting, still pointing at Yuryuu's expression of confidence. At some point, she broke into a fit of coughing, swallowed hard, and stood up, panting.

"...Wow. Sor~ry, sorry. I TRIED to go with it, but your BUDDY here caught me a lit~tle bit off GUARD, grand~ma."

The child slapped her duel disk's autoshuffler, then stood, one hand on her hip as the machine whispered to itself.

"...Se~ri~ous~ly, though, who am I up against?"

The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell simply stood near the edge of the pitfall. Behind the helmet of The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell, there was most certainly an expression as he gazed down examining the details of the hole in the ground. However that expression was just between him and the Devil.

He paid little attention to the suspect trapped below, who was going off on a tirade before having their shot at being let out. Nor did he pay much attention to the staff-member who still failed to provide him details about the case, or why the supervisors were busy. Oh the Sinful Sleuth knew, he delivered an Unholy Sermon on the subject.

Shifting his attention to the dirty peasant child, The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell spoke, "That guy." Konstantinovich pointed towards Yuryuu once again, "That one right there is who you'd be up against." Rolling his shoulders around, Fyodor mused aloud in an attempt to gather some minor seeming information, "Lovely day for the morning star isn't it?"

There was a beeping from the woman's pocket, which she did not respond to in favor of the students in front of her. The lady caught her breath and brushed the hair out of her face. She walked up to Yuryu, guiding him towards the young woman who apparently found it funny that Yuryu was to be her opponent.

"You're dueling. You're the only two in the area still in the battle royale. From the numbers, it looks like it's almost over." her pocket continued to buzz. The woman sighed and picked up her phone, sighed, then answered. "What is it?" she sounded flustered. A robotic voice called from out of it. After which, the woman changed to speaker phone.

"FYODOR LEO KONSTANTINOVICH" a familiar robotic droning came out of the cell phone. "YOU WILL BECOME APPREHENDED. YOUR CRIMES OF THEFT AND DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY HAVE BEEN REPORTED. PUNISHMENT: TRIAL BY DUELING."

@Eklispe@Satoshi Kyou@Scarifar@manapool1@PKMNB0Y

"I-I don't mind if you all dueled me. It'd be fair... I guess." Martin replied, still a little shaken, but again did not appear to have any real lack of self confidence. He clicked his duel disk, the blade appearing from solid light, as before him read the number of his life points at a whopping 30500.

"If you don't mind... C-can I go first?"
