Name: Lillet Duchamps (nee Lillet Blanc)
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Nation: Illiserev
Appearance: Lillet stands at average height, and has a slight build that tends to hide her true strength. She dresses like most girls, and seems to lean more toward clothing lacking ostentatious accents. Some would scoff at such preferences as a sign of her humble birth. She would ignore them. She tries to avoid full-length dresses, as they can get in the way when it comes to martial arts.
Personality:
Lillet is warm, friendly, and usually pretty well behaved. In battle, she is passionate and hot-blooded, and tends to really go all-out on her kiai. In no way is she afraid to take risks and bet everything on slim chances, intending to make up the rest on sheer guts. She’s a careful student of history, and is particularly interested in the origins of the Gods of War, and other such ancient mysteries.

She’s jealous and somewhat distrustful of all these Talentium-wielding wannabe “God-breakers” running around. Sure, they’re powerful, but the attitude they can have toward Gods of War can get infuriating at times. The ancient colossi may not be as effective against Rift beasts, but there’s no need to call them obsolete, or behave as if one is inherently superior. Then again, anyone who gets too cocky about taking on a giant mecha solo may have another thing coming. She may be suffering a bit from being an old "elite" faced with changing times, or simply influenced by the stereotypes carried by those around her a bit too much.

Lillet is terrified of vampires. She also dislikes spiders, centipedes, and other creepy things with too many legs. Otherwise, she fears very little. Mundane threats such as assassination or Rift beasts are challenges to overcome.

Biography:
Lillet was born into a family of servants within the Duchamps household. When she was three years old, her mother took her to see the Duchamps family's God of War. Azure Aeon knelt down before the young girl, irrespective of its current Chosen's wishes, and a dark blue crest manifested itself over Lillet's solar plexus. This sudden changing of Chosen, and to a lowborn girl, no less, caused something of a stir within the family ranks. Lillet was quickly adopted into the family, for appearance's sake if nothing else. It simply wouldn't do to have their Chosen be a servant and not a member of the family.

Life didn't really improve for Lillet much, as she was scorned by her eldest adoptive brother, whom everyone thought would inherit the Aeon. Outside of public functions and social events where she was treated as the Duchamps' youngest daughter, she was essentially still treated as a servant. She was also bullied by some of her siblings, her eldest brother chief among them. There's certainly no love lost between her and most of her adoptive family. Those relatives whom she actually likes do see more than the merely formally polite treatment. Even appearance-wise, she's something of the literal black sheep of the family, as most true Duchamps are blonde or otherwise fair-haired.

Lillet's extensive martial arts training began young, where she was placed under the tutelage of the various battle-butlers of the family. Physical abuse, at least, dropped off quickly once she became able to effectively defend herself against any such attempts. The whole "Fist of the Six Heavens" thing may be a bit of a fabrication either by Lillet or her entire family, but nobody's likely to give a straight answer if asked. She takes quite a bit of pride in her skills, and keeps them sharp with frequent practice and training. Including kata done by giant robot.

Within the cities managed by the Duchamps family, Lillet is often paraded around as a symbol of strength and tradition. Actual combat tends to be managed by the corps of battle butlers and the family's eldest son, who turned out to be capable of using Talentium. The friendly (on the surface) rivalry between brother and adopted sister continues to this day. The brother names his Talentium greatsword "God-Breaker". The sister is happy to point out he's done no such thing to actually earn such a title. And so it goes. Propriety and fear of being absolutely crushed under the full weight of parental anger are probably the only things which have kept the two from just fighting it to the death, already.

It perhaps comes as little surprise, given her family situation, that Lillet spends much of her time traveling around Illiserev alone, usually involved in one or another of her antiquarian searches. She spends her days looking for and investigating ancient ruins and other sites. Occasionally, she'll manage to actually scrape together a full expedition of like-minded scholars, either on a volunteer basis or by funding an expedition via her family ties, however tenuous they are. Usually, any such funded expeditions require a fair bit of convincing that they will increase the prestige of the family one way or another. If she ever did find something irrefutably related to the Gods of War (or even a new one), it would be quite something, indeed.

Abilities:
Chosen of the God of War Azure Aeon

Lillet is not particularly talented as a mage, and her abilities are primarily focused into spells designed to enhance herself or her God. Rather than annihilate the battlefield with long-incantation destruction magic cast from impunity aboard a colossal robot, she focuses on physical enhancement, elemental auras, and other spells which allow her and Aeon to more easily cut a swath of destruction through the battlefield, personally. The effects she can achieve may pale in comparison to those of Talentium wielders, but they do keep her from falling behind quite as badly. She also has something of a knack for healing magic, although she usually only heals herself. She can heal others by laying on hands, but she can’t manage anything useful at ranges beyond touch.

Fist of the Six Heavens - Lillet is trained in a martial arts style that has been passed down along with her God of War. True, it lacks the power of modern Sword Arts, but it is unusual in purpose all the same: it is designed specifically for use with and by a God of War. Aeon’s weapon itself has been lost for generations, and the Six Heavens represent its current unique armament.

Alone, Lillet's techniques are useful enough to handle combat against a few opponents, although she's no match for anyone wielding Talentium, even fighting at her best. Unless she manages to disarm or evade such a foe, she would be overwhelmed, quite possibly sooner rather than later. The true strength of her art comes from the fact that it treats Aeon as an extension of her body. She generally doesn't fight with it while still on the ground, to avoid squashing herself.

Important Items:
Azure Aeon
A blue-armored God of War which leans more toward speed and agility than raw physical power. Aeon, as Lillet usually calls it, has a long and battle-scarred history, like all such ancient war machines. Its original weapon is lost to the sands of time, although Duchamps family history has it that one of the other nations possesses it as spoils of war. For the past several generations, Aeon has fought unarmed, using techniques that are quite similar to those used in unarmed combat across Illiserev. One hasn't lived before one has seen a giant robot throw another giant robot across a battlefield.

Aeon is maintained by a dedicated staff of maids-turned-mechanics, who are very proud of their work, and that one of their own is its current Chosen.

Name: Liza Delain
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Nationality: Dansilian
Appearance:
Liza boasts an impressive height of roughly 1.54 metres wih yellow eyes, light skin and light blonde hair.

Being an traveling Artist, Liza is usually seen wearing a unusual set of clothing. While her rather fancy looking hooded full-body cloak, gloves included, isn't anything too special; the mask combined with a Dansilian voice distorter puts her right back into the artists being weird trope. Apart from a mask to hide her face, clothing that covers her entire body and a small device that makes her voice rather mechanical the Dansilian artist also binds her breasts: making it hard to guess her real gender.

While Liza takes care to not reveal herself in public, the young woman makes full use of her 'unknown' identity when pursuing her true form of art. Preferring to wear rather casual and easy to move in clothing herself, she doesn't shy away from anything else either if the situation calls for it. In possession of a variety of fashion contact-lenses Liza also learned to speak in a variety of different dialects and tone pitches. Combined with the fact that her medical knowledge and womanly vein allows her to change her own face to quite a degree, it isn't unheard of that the 'Virtuoso' killed somebody in plain sight of everyone - just to be never seen again.

Personality: Liza is a rather ordinary young woman that isn't hard to get along with if one can ignore her mask and voice - which seems to stem from a rather serious lack of self-confidence. Open and friendly to people in general, Liza is by no means depressed all the time, though clearly makes herself down if topic of conversations should shift in a direction which involves her own doings. Liza, while not too well known thanks to her own shyness of attending meaningful events, makes a living as a wandering artist.

Behind that mask, however, the deluded Liza pursues an entirely different form of Art. While the yellow-eye's art can take on many forms it usually ends up with the death of her art object: or marks the beginning. While Liza is aware that she does her victims a favour, for example something simple like keeping their beauty for all eternity, the young artists main-drive is the goal of making her father proud, a certain inner urge, and self-satisfaction. Of course, that doesn't mean she can't practice self-control - as most of her entire being-nice behaviour is just an act - though can tend to become quite obsessive in that case.

Despite thinking what she does is right and having no morals whatsoever, she is aware that the things she does is a crime and is afraid of getting caught. Her inferiority complex, stemming from blaming herself about her father's suicide, is another fear she carries around, capable of being mentally broken if someone hits the right nerves. Furthermore, she is also afraid of her canvas(prey) being damaged by the hands of others - the world they live in is a dangerous place after all. Also, Liza despises necromancy and the prospect of 'eternal life'. While she isn't afraid to directly combat a vampire she takes extreme caution to not get turned into one of such beings herself.

While not really afraid of it, it is worth to mention that Liza doesn't like pain. She may be an artist; but not a masochist.

Biography:
  • Liza has been born, her father having been a rather famous artist known as Riccardo
  • Liza spend more time with her father rather than her mother, who slowly became so obsessed with his work and hobby to ultimately find enlightenment
  • Liza went to a mental asylum after she had been found amidst the left-over parts of her mother - her father commited suicide
  • Liza got released quickly after, apparently cured
  • Liza, now on her own, dedicated her entire being to becoming an artist as great as her father; taking on the job of an assassin for some extra cash
  • Liza became infamous as the serial-killer 'Virtuoso'

Abilities:
Liza has extensive knowledge of (human) anatomy and various subjects associated with it. Her abilities go to a degree that turning a human corpse into a puppet isn't something uncommon.

While limited in its generality the young artist is adept in rune-magic - mainly infusing her bullets with it - as well as maintaining her weapon(s).

Shadow Shaping
Liza's magic is generally used to enhance her combat abilities at all ranges. First and foremost, the red-eye makes extensive use of highly specialized shadow magic: creating shadowy clones(including weapons and clothing) of her that quickly disappear if they break contact with its caster. In its simplest form, Liza simply uses this to enhance her every move, a simple strike with a weapon - or shot with a gun - is followed by a bunch more - quick enough in succession to feel like a single, stronger, attack. As an unintended side-effect, Liza herself is engulfed in a blackish aura unless she stands perfectly still. In a more advanced fashion, Liza uses her shadows to stay mobile on the battlefield and attack her opponents from multiple angles, allowing the woman to fight on par with male Talentium users.

  • Liza's shadows stay connected to her up to a range of 1 meter. If this range is left the shadow disappears after 3 seconds. The range can be artificially increased by multiple shadows acting as a sort of connection. Meaning for a shadow to stay connected to Liza that is 5 meters away she would need 4 more shadows in-between them.
  • Liza's shadow can follow simple commands, though are location based rather than target based. Meaning instead of striking enemy A who is 10 metres away, the Shadow aims to strike point B at which Enemy A happens to be located at. If a shadow breaks the connection with Liza she is not capable of changing the current command.
  • Liza's shadows are faster, allowing them to rival male Talentium users. Their strength, however, while stronger than a mundane human are still weaker than a Talentium user.
  • Liza's shadows are sort of half-ethereal. Gravity and such have a way weaker effect on them, allowing for higher jumps or running up a small wall. Hitting them dissolves the area-of-effect and, if enough 'damage' that way, make the shadow disappear. Meaning larger effects are generally more effective in dealing with them.
  • Liza is capable to switch positions with a Shadow she is connected to.
  • Shadows are harder to recognize in proportion to how dark the surroundings are
  • As of right now, Liza's shadows are not capable of casting magic themselve, making them solely a defensive and close-combat tool.

Liza is capable of altering her own mass through magic, including specifics parts of her body.
Liza is an adept runemage.
Liza also picked up some utility spells: night vision, heat vision, eye-zoom and a spell enhancing her reaction speed.
Liza has a certain degree of resistance against tracking magic, granted to her in form as a payment by a witch.

Liza is also a tad versed in 'arcane' magics. While she has pretty much mastered the use of the 'Magic Arrow' spell and is able to make many alterations to it, the young woman actively pursues to deepen her skill.

Important Items:
Kitsune Mask
While it may just be a simple mask, for Liza it is a treasured item.

Voice Distorter
Not easy to attain outside of Dansila and costing a small fortune, the voice distorter isn't mundane enough to not be an important item.

Eclipse
Liza uses a mundane looking three-section Talentiumstaff that she carries over her robe.

Serenity&Discord
Liza's dual mid-ranged handguns. The barrels are made out of Talentium. Thanks to the advent of rune magic, those weapons are nothing more than glorified magical pea shooters.

End
Using her other weapons Liza is capable of re-assembling them into something resembling a rifle...staff. While capable of being used at close range, its main purpose lies at long range, able to be charged with magic; the weapon can also be loaded with cartridges: firing them over longer distances. The weapon has a rather strong knock back.

Talentiumsplinter
Thanks to an experiment gone wrong Liza ended up with a Talentiumsplinter close to one of her eyes - nearly making her blind on it. Now, she is capable to harness the power of Talentium enhanced magic even if stripped naked. As a side-effect however, her eye starts slightly bleeding anytime the Talentium resonates.

Hidden Talentiumknife
Yet another, relatively small, Talentiumweapon Liza carries on her pocketed underwear.

Charon
An item Liza attained from a Witch. Charon is a compass of sorts; capable of being fed with any, tiny, kind of item that contains a target's DNA. Once this has been done Charon will point towards the direction of the target until the item is digested. Charon's range, however, isn't endless.

Cartridges
Liza carries a variety of cartridges around that are empowered by curses or, with help of her own Runemagic and somebody else's plain magic, other magical effects. The fired cartridges usually activate as soon as they come into contact with an obstacle. Since most of them aren't easy to make and require the help of another individual Liza doesn't use them for everyday occurences.

Liza's cartridges are generally designed to dissipate upon activation unless otherwise specified.

Magical Bullet: Dum Dum
The most simple of Liza's cartridges aimed for 'pest control' and most effective in close and mid-ranged combat. Upon 'activation' the projectile releases a directional fiery-explosion.

Magical Bullet: Viper Shock
A projectile aimed to paralyze the target hit. Ineffective against large creatures.

Curse: Widows Embrace
A curse which makes the affected target feel strongly attached to a special someone. In this case, the special someone is Liza.

Note @Rode: Appearance doesn't matter in that case. Imagine how Kouno in Fujimi Lover is even attracted to male Hasabe rather than the female one despite looks and whatever. That kind of deal.

Magical Bullet: Zero
A projectile that, upon being fired, travels its trajectory via teleportation just mere centimetres before it is about to hit the target. In this case, the Runespell itself is the teleportation and the projectile the actual weapon - making it rather ineffective against armored targets but deadly nonetheless against unaware peasants.

Magical Bullet: Snapfrost
A projectile that intends to freeze the victim hit.

Curse: Charon's Guidance
A simple curse that allows Charon to track the cursed even over long distances and without the need of the victims DNA. In this case, Charon needs to be fed a piece of Liza's DNA with the artist having a clear intend of wanting to track the person in question.

Curse: Fool's Empress
Part of Liza's Curtain Call combination.
While a curse is bound to stick to a victim until the death of the witch Liza has made use of their unique property to enhance herself with a timed curse. Fool's Empress is a cruel Spiel that grants the user a huge fucking amount of mana unlimited power. However, with the fragile human body suddenly attaining such a huge surge of energy, it is ultimately a curse of self-destruction as the body slowly, and painfully, withers away. The curse only sticks five minutes to its victim; with only thirty seconds giving Liza enough time to do things as after that time she is already enough of a mess that her body refuses to function.

Magical Bullet: Tasogare's Embrace
Part of Liza's Curtain Call combination.
Simply speaking, this Cartridge is a delayed super strong healing spell. This allows Liza to actually not suffer for the rest of her life as a miserable pile of flesh. The cost for the runespell are paid upon first activation even if the effect is triggered minutes after.

Magical Bullet: Curtain Call
Part of Liza's Curtain Call combination.
Some people think killing a God of War is a reasonable request for an Assassin - even moreso if the pilot is a shut-in that thinks he doesn't need to leave his mechanical waifu. Probably not, yet, Liza doesn't disappoint. Curtain Call is, in its execution, just a miniature nuke. Draining the caster of all its current mana(and thus, sort of 'scalable') to create a gigantic explosion.

Magical Bullet: Curtain Call Finalé
Part of Liza's Curtain Call combination.
'Just a all mana draining gigantic beam of fuck you.'
Some people say a God of War could even survive a nuke. Considering those people were right, Liza really wanted to make sure that whoever she had sat her eyes on would not survive. Even if it meant taking around half a year to repair End after the attack.

Notes:
Often employed by the Braxton family.
