Your character could have a special wavelength that let's her calm down people's souls. You can make it offensive by forcefully removing a person's will to fight by taking the fire out of them. It would also be incredibly effective on madness because it would be purified.

I actually came up with something similar to that right after posting earlier.

As for techniques.

Soul bind: This technique focuses on the chain portion of the sickle, the blade shoots out swerving around in all directions before clasping tight around an object forcefully creating something akin to soul protect and leaving them vulnerable.

Barrier: The chain of your blade fires, stretching and circling around until it forms a barrier around you and your allies, the blade striking the ground and acting for the focal point for you and your meisters soul wavelength that expands and spreads through the chains, defending against the rage of madness and physical attacks.

Soul Resonance
Phantom Blade Dance: By increasing the speed, your blade becomes many, each after-image is an illusion that can slice apart the enemies around you.

These are really cool. Thanks for the assist.

Are you all still interested in joining the rp and creating a character sheet?

Sure. I'll cobble something together shortly.

Agreed.

@Turboshitter, I want you as my weapon. =w=

My amplified strength will be able to lift you to use as needed in battle, and your strong personality will be perfectly able to yell my lazy-ass character to do what he needs.

A motorcycle huh? I like the idea.

There was a chainsaw, so I guess it works?

Can I offer some advice though? If you want this to move with any resonable speed, I suggest controlling both your mister and weapon.

Trying to collab every time they work together would be a ginormous pain in the ass.

Trust me on this one, in my experience, you want to avoid collabs unless you absolutely have to.

Updated my WIP. All she needs now is the history and sample post.

Edit: PS- I may end up after all making my own meister just cause I can write better that way.

It doesn't really make a difference. RP relies heavily on groups posting together anyways, so having partners as separate players is absolutely fine. No matter what RP, speed will always be dependant on the motivation of the people involved, changing how many people we control won't play a huge part into the speed. If anything, Roleplaying on your own with two people will actually likely de-value the importance of groups cooperating together.

When in reality if you're going to pony up with a friend or someone you know it's easier to say that. While with strangers you're putting a lot on yourself and your partner to be here consistently regardless of legitimate reasons to pull someone away from RP. If you and the other person want to go balls to the wall, sure. It would be equally prudent to have a back up plan or character to cover for absences and or unexplained disappearances.

I think players doing both makes the most sense but if you think you can keep a steady pace than by all means, team up.

Just to repeat for the fourth time, I am accepting THREE meister/weapon teams.

Also if you bail in the middle of a battle and say nothing for a week, your character will die and we'll move on.

@DearTrickster This is entirely fair. Putting faith in strangers to team up with is a lot to ask.

I have to disagree with the idea that doing your own character pairs is superior to pairing up with other players. It's more fun to have your characters more closely responding to the dialogue and actions of other player characters rather than strictly following your own preordained whims. Plus, while the argument that strangers tend to drop out or disappear for long periods of time is valid, that's always going to be a problem that impacts the whole group, not just a couple of characters, and losing players is always going to be a problem unless you've managed to get together an RP consisting of just you and a dozen friends (and then there's the scheduling issues...)

Personally, I don't think having pairs controlled by two players instead of one is ever going to inherently hurt the speed of an RP, because it's not really addressing the core problem one way or another (that being: real life happens). And even if it did, what you might lose in speed you make up for in spontaneity and more dynamic character interactions, which I think is a fair trade.

Added in her history. The shortest and least complex history I've ever done, but I still like it. Now to do the sample post. Yayyyyyy.

It really isn't about superiority but rather what is more flexible, really at the end of the day your main character is going to be a weapon or a meister. While the opposite will simply be a supporting character that guarantees you will remain the RP on your own merit. When it comes to dynamic character interactions, they can still be achieved in collab format.

Like Kouki said, it is an option. Both players do have to understand the implications of it in the long run. :)

I'm personally hoping that someone can end up being my Meister's weapon, mainly because of two reasons. One, I find it easier and more fun to team up with another player, it might makes some scenes like battles and so on take bit longer because of needing both player's inputs but I don't mind such, it makes it so players can't just go off on their own and not interact with others (I've seen people do it, and have done it once or twice myself without meaning it). Now two, I know I'll end up forgetting all about the support character if I made one for my Meister to be a weapon. Mainly because when I have a character I like the most I tend to blank on the other characters under my control, so basically I would end up not rping much in my support character section and they would end up just fading to the background until they are actually needed like in battle, which isn't good especially for a soul eater rp.

Now if I controlled a support weapon character that peaked my interest as much as my Meister Loki then it would be a different story, but that be bit hard.

-Edit: I say that As I just finish on a rough draft of a Weapon CS as a just incase thing.

@DearTrickster @Kouki
Here is a Weapon that suddenly popped in my head after I started looking for knuckle/claw like weaponry. Mainly as a backup should I end up needing to do my own team, and I guarantee it probably requires some reworking since it's just a rough draft of a character. the techniques/abilities came to me when I thought about how some weapons had some unique abilities like how some could use an elemental attack, and Tsubaki could manipulate their shadow. if the soul idea doesn't work then I can probably attempt a more elemental attributed thing instead. (which I might do anyway since I'm starting to get some funny ideas lol).
