Feon gave a kind smile to Alionna. "Thanks, you did good today. The people that got away from all of this will start seeing you as a hero again. Honestly if this world weren't so insane, I would be surprised if you would have tried to kill me by now. I appreciate what your doing to help us. But you need to understand that Sven has gained quite a bit of holy power through his journey. At this point, holy power like yours will be useless. If we find an artifact that gives you a different element, I'm giving it to you, no matter what that element is." Feon said looking back at Alionna before heading into the building with the others.

Once inside the court house the others would see no signs of enemies. At least no undead enemies. Instead what they found was a bit... strange. Without warning a stuffed deer seemed to come falling from the ceiling towards the others. A nearby stuffed bear also seemed to fall towards them. The bear however was pushed by a wild goose that had gotten into the building. This was either a revenge of the animals that they killed, or just a random coincidence. Either way it wasn't what they would be expecting.

Feon noticed the goose coming her way she however wasn't expecting it and was caught off guard by the sheer strangness of the attack. The goose came flying at her and knocked her down the ground. "What the hell?" She said as she got up not noticing a bear and deer falling towards the others.

The book they were looking for was not far off barely visible and covered in dust and under a few other books.

"Aye Tony, my name is-EAAAH!" Kythe's sentence was cut off with a startled yelp as the decor began to attack them. Normally Kythe would have been fine in this scenario, what good is an easily startled scout?, but between them being what he thought were inanimate objects combined with a lowered guard from having thought the fighting was over he was claimed by the sudden panicked reaction most people have to odd, unexpected occurrences. In his brief fright Kythe leapt for higher ground, that "ground" being a nearby bookcase. He scaled the thing with ease and was atop it in a matter of seconds, of course the thing then promptly fell over, sending him clattering on the ground.

While he recovered he couldn't help but think "What else can I fall from today? oh, is that a chandelier?"

Tony didn't even look at what he batted away as it fell from the ceiling, a move made from reflex more than conscious thought, but when he looked at it afterwards, he became somewhat confused. A stuffed deer wasn't exactly the most potent of attackers, considering it typically lacks the ability to move. His confusion was compounded further as a stuffed bear fell in their direction as well. Tony caught it with his shield and pushed it away, revealing the final ingredient of chaos: A white goose.

He was distracted out of his thoughts as the a bookcase fell nearby. He rolled out of the way of the ensuing dust cloud and came up shield raised, only to notice that it was the lizardman that had done the deed, not another enemy.
"Hey, watch what you're doing!" Tony said.
He stood up and brushed off the dust, looking around the room for whatever else would happen.
"Just what the heck is going on..." He muttered.
In the corner of his eye he spotted something different. A hint of eyes in the corner of the room. He peered at the stack of books, but he couldn't make out much from the dust that covered them.
"Hey, I think that's the book over there." Tony said to the others.

"Oh the irony." Garen scoffed. He was semi-prepared when the stuffed creatures began to move towards them. It was such an odd sight but Garen had seen far more interesting oddities in his travels. Looking past the bizarre foes he indeed spotted the book along side Tony.

Kythe then screeched behind him and Garen jumped slightly, he wasn't expecting the lizardman to actually be afraid of what they were seeing, Even more alarming was when he mounted a bookcase to get away, then to have it promptly fall over. He dodged out of the way, not wanting to be smashed in a bout of friendly fire.

Collecting himself, he saw the Goose fly past him and go for Feon, who had magically appeared from behind them. So that was the cause of the commotion?

"I'll get the book, don't worry."

With out much to say, he sidestepped the fallen trophies and made his way to where the book lay. It looked like the on they were after and without further hassle, he picked it up.

When the book was grabbed it opened up and started to float. Those who had taken the ritual started to see words float out of the book and into their own minds. What they saw how to use a magic spell to find objects of power. Once taught it could be used with ease so long as a map was present.

Another spell came out of the book as well, it seemed to be a kind of weak binding spell. It didn't do much to stronger enemies but would be helpful against weaker foes.

After everything had settled the group would be moving on.

They were to head to the town of Hund where they would be looking for an artifact. What it was would be questionable.

Once they arrived they would find the town entirely there. It seemed that they wouldn't have much trouble, atleast not yet. The town was bustling with activity. None of the people seemed to have any care about what was currently happening in the world, it was a bit strange.

In the center of Town was a young woman by the name of Hilda Grenwald. She was someone who had previously worked with the hero. The last she was seen she was gravely wounded by the hero in her escape. She had been especially hit hard compared to everyone else. It was surprise that she was even alive considering the large scar on her neck.

Feon looked at the woman and around the town. "This is strange right? It's not just me?" Feon asked the others, she stopped for a moment in her normal way of hearing Remus speak. "Yeah I see her, it's everyone else I'm talking about." Feon added motioning towards the towns people who went about their way with a smile on their face.

The only normal thing about the town though was how the people reacted to seeing Kythe as no one had seen a creature like him before. Though children in the town seemed quite happy to see Alionna, Garren, and Leila. Though something still seemed to be a bit off about the town. Tony however had a few glares towards him, it could be because he was the most unclean of the bunch. Veskerr and Kolonis in the meantime were met with complete ignoring by the towns people.

This town seemed odd. It wasn't the bad looks he got from people that made it seem strange, as the country he'd fought under hadn't had the greatest reputation. It was the stark difference of interest that the villagers took in him compared to his party members that was strange. People who didn't like a certain kind of people, for example, soldiers like Tony, tended to view the people travelling with them similarly. Even if he was alone there should've been some kind of reaction from them. It was rather unnatural.

It seemed that his suspicions weren't unfounded either, Feon had wondered aloud what was wrong with the place. Still, no one had attacked yet, and as far as Tony was concerned, that would do.
"Strange or not, I still need to stock up on supplies." Tony said in reply to Feon's comment.
He ignored her comments to herself, that was just part of the routine nowadays. Tony prepared to set off to a shop, shifting his pack's straps and adjusting the axe at his hip. He didn't want to put his stuff down; he didn't like the feel of this town.
"Do whatever it is you need to do, I need to buy some spices." He said to the group.
Tony proceeded to set off down the street, looking for a market.

Leila went to the library like the others. And like the others as well, she fought off the decors. It was pretty much the oddest enemies she had ever fought. But she took care of them handily nonetheless.

They found the magic book at last. And it granted them the ability to find objects of powers; artifacts that allow its wearer some extraordinary ability. Like magic, they varied a lot, from holy relics of the church to accursed rings made by the demons to drive men mad. She made a mental note to be careful if she ended up finding one. Who knew what she might just find?

The book also granted her a weak binding spell. It was nothing special, and Leila felt a bit disappointed on her finding. With this kind of magic, she was no closer to Sven's level.

After that's settled, they decided to head towards the town of Hund, as it seemed there was an artifact there.

When they arrived, Leila let out a sigh of relief as the town wasn't destroyed like the other two towns they had been into.

Feon however, said that there was something strange about the town. She herself didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Some stared at them for sure, but that would be just natural as they weren't exactly the most normal-looking bunch.

"I say we should rest for now," Leila proposed to the group. "We should go our separate ways, so that we would attract less attention. Just look around casually while searching for the artifact. As for me, I wish to head to the local inn first."

Of course, she didn't mention to the group that she wished to take a bath. Badly. She hadn't taken one for three, or was it four days. Some of the male knights might not care about their hygiene, but that simply wouldn't do for her. She couldn't imagine walking around with a sticky skin and a questionable smell.

Kythe almost wouldn't have found anything odd. The reaction to their group was what he would've expected, excitement at the Hero's (good)companions, the odd glare and such for the grizzled soldier, and even a mix of curious and wary looks for a creature as exotic as him. The only thing was the complete ignorance toward Kolonis and Vreskrr, sure Kolonis was an illusionist and could disguise herself well enough but that didn't explain Vreskrr.

Still, despite his better judgement, he found himself agreeing with Leila, rest did sound nice after their last encounter, repeatedly falling off of things can make one sore. Figuring there was not much harm as long as they were careful and didn't split into groups of less than two he strode up alongside Leila "Hey, you wouldn't mind if I tag along, would you? I could use a bit of a lie down myself"

Irritated at the townsfolk ignoring her, Vreskrr occasionally bounds of from the group to shortly stalk some villager. Questioning the logic these people use, she becomes progressively more annoyed. Constantly being greeted with pitchforks and torches had it's own kind of charm, but this was just terrible. Although...Surely there was a way to abuse this? Her casual, sadistic grin returning Vreskrr rejoins the group. It might be rather obvious to any onlookers she's up to something, but so far, no one seemed to care.

At the moment she rejoined the group, she heard Leila say something about an inn. Not catching quite what Leila had said, Vreskrr continued her plotting. This should be good...

Feon looked at the others and nodded to them. "I think your all right, since this town is still in working order, though a bit strange. I think we should gather supplies." Feon said to the others, despite what they had been through Feon had gained some respect for them. Kythe though strange looking was reliable to do the right thing. He had the morals of a good man.

Leila seemed Naive but she had her heart in the right place. She had now seen the horrors that Sven could bring with her own eyes. If anything Leila had potential to become extremely powerful. Then there was Veskerr, the demon was mischievous but showed promise of always helping those on the team.

"Veskerr you wanna help with some shopping?" Feon asked Veskerr with a more kind smile on her face now. Feon felt that she hadn't taken the chance to get to know any of her team mates, and getting to know their way of thinking or at least some of their preferences would be helpful.

Meanwhile the people around them continued to ignore Veskerr. It was like she didn't exist.

At the inn meanwhile a girl with white hair and a sharp red hat and clothing was getting a room. This was Hilda, a former member of the team that was on the side of the Hero, it seemed that she was trying to figure out the problem with this town. She had been trying to talk to people in the town about it. The only clue she had to this whole thing though was how when ever she used magic of any kind in front of these people she was met with a look of disgust. Or rather, they scoffed at her, like they could do better and her magic was pitiful.

"Sure. You can tag along if you like," Leila replied with a smile to Kythe. At least someone else was also tired like her.

The walk to the inn wasn't that far, and soon enough, they arrived at the place. It was a seemingly average inn, not too empty but not too crowded either. When they arrived however, there was already someone else talking to the innkeeper, so they had to stand behind her waiting for their turn.

Hmm, white hair... That's rare... That attire also shows that she must be an adventurer of some sort... Well, it's not really that strange to find passing adventurers in big cities like this...

Kythe returned a smile to Leila and followed her to the inn, joining her in the line as well. The person in front on them didn't stand out much to him, but he didn't really know humans enough to tell if there was something odd about any of them anyway, subtly odd that it. Leila seems to think there was something peculiar about her if her expression was anything to go by. He nudged her arm with his elbow and then gave a glance and short nod with his head to wordlessly ask if they should be worried about the white-haired girl before them.

Jumping at Feon's sudden attention, Vreskrr turned, a guilty smile spread across her face. "Shopping, huh?" She mumbled, thinking for a bit. Realizing she had nothing better to do since most of the town ignored her, Vreskrr sighed and conceded. "I guess I'll hop along...So, uhh, did your torture tools need replacing too?" She'd said it jokingly, but she was painfully aware of how it may come across due to her demonic nature. "That was a joke. It's Vreskrr, by the way, with an R"

It seemed her plan would have to wait, in favor of more interesting things. Still, she couldn't help feeling a little disappointed, some people just look better running and screaming after all, and in Vreskrr's mind, this was most people. She entertained the thought of the village burning to the ground and with it everyone ignoring her, while awkwardly fidgeting and 'wagging' her tail slowly.

Feon gave a smile to Veskerr. She came upon a store that was selling food supplies. "Cheese and bread please." Feon said to the stall owner who gave to items to Feon after an exchange of money between them. "Veskerr is there something you would like to get?" Feon asked Veskerr with a kind smile. Although in truth Feon was eyeing a nearby stall that was selling odd trinkets that included various religious objects. Some of these items had an odd symbol on them. It was a sort of tree like emblem. However the tree looked more like a lightning bolt when held upside down.

This was something that Feon had seen a few times before as it was a symbol of a cult that worked along side the one that she was born into. Feon couldn't be sure just yet though, but it seemed like many people had that symbol somewhere on them, either on bags, clothes or as jewelry.

Hilda looked frustrated and started to leave the inn when she noticed Leila and Kythe. "You two, have you noticed anything strange about this town? Anything out of the ordinary about these people?" Hilda asked the two with a determined look on her face. If these people had noticed something too then that means that Hilda isn't going crazy. She had witnessed something last night that had put her on edge. She needed to know for sure what was going on in this town.

As feon asked her what she wanted, Vreskrr realized another thing; not only had she nothing to do, she didn't really have anything to buy either. Thinking for a second, she conluded "I really don't need to much, maybe a bag." but after saying his she suddenly had a flash of inspiration "Actually, not just a bag, I'll need a cloak too, as fluffy as possible." With a triumphant smile, Vreskrr gazed upon her companion. Whatever she could need a cloak for one could only wonder, but one thing was clear; she had some kind of dubious plan for it.

As she stood there, vaguely smiling, a man passed by. Wanting to test just how far the people here were willing to go in order to ignore her, Vreskrr sweeped her tail in front of the man's leg and tripped him up. Not willing to acknowledge this man's existence, just like this village hadn't done to her, she once more turned to Feon. "Say, Feon, do you think they'll have some item for me to take on human form?"
