Magic: All of her magic is granted by her weapon. As such everything she has is holder magic.Aura Sense - Cyra has an ever present sense of magic around her, including that in the environment. This allows her to "see" as well as identify things in the area. With other mages and their magic use she can see it as an aura around them. It is not so fine tuned that she can tell what kind of magic it is, just differentiate one from another.
Magic Draw - Draws magic from around her and her opponents. There is a limited amount of magic she can draw from the environment. It has a much bigger impact when drawn from opponents and their attacks. Even a narrow miss can gleen magic from a target. Obviously a direct hit does the most and given enough strikes a mage could find themselves a bind as their magic pool dwindles.
Aura Boost - Crya is able to surround herself in a aura that increases her strength, speed, stamina, and resistance. The level of which scales with the amount of magic that has been stored up in the sword. She will still feel the effects of any punishment her body has taken afterward though. When not in combat the aura can be used to heal quicker than the average human.
Projected Strike - By swiping the sword the magic stored can be expelled in a short blast. It can either be one concentrated charge from across the whole blade or released as multiple dagger sized shots.

Equipment: Shinzui Blade - A katana handed down to her by her father. It's exact nature is unknown but it most definitely is more than your average magic blade. Owner and blade form a symbiotic relationship that can only be broken by mutual agreement or death. The blade seeks and consumes magic and in exchange for sating it's hunger it provides the wielder physical and athletic benefits. Shinzui will attempt to return to its owner should they become separated. While not expressly intelligent it does possess a certain character that becomes impressed on its owner. A part of this impression is some past experience which affords the wielder knowledge apart from their own.
History: For the mages preceeding the 100 persecution, the Florentina name is widely known though not fondly remembered in the magic community. Part of the guard armed with magic weapons many mages met their end against Richard Florentina and later his son Gregory Florentina. One of the reasons for their effectiveness was the katana known as the Shinzui Blade. Able to turn a mages own strength against them it was no surprise that the family was sought to act under the Anti-Magic Council's crusade.
Fast forward toward the end of the nation wide hunt, Gregory has his own family, among which was his daughter Cyra. The young girl was the middle child of three. Bookend by two boys there was little expectation to receive the family heirloom. Traditionally it was passed to the eldest son. And that would have been the case had not Cyra's health been poor. Weak and frail early on her quality of life appeared bleak. As a result when she was only eight Cyra was given Shinzui. With the strength granted by the magic item the girl's health improved dramatically and was given a second chance at a more normal childhood.
Of course these was some responsibility in order to retain good health. Namely the sword required magic to support her. She also felt she needed to follow in her father's footsteps as a warrior. So her training started and has been ongoing for the last eight years. Having taken possession of Shinzui at an early age Cyra doesn't really see the blade as a tool like previous owners. For her it is a part of her and she has an odd way on conversing with it like it responded back. Despite historically having fought against any and all magic users, Cyra's found herself in an odd position where she can't quite carry out the same task her father did. Compelled to strike out on her own she took jobs as a mercenary where she proved to be proficient despite her age. Guilds growing and taking more work meant less for her though, at least some of which she needed. So finding a guild seemed like the best next option.
Personality: Being the youngest wielder of Shinzui, Cyra has grown up with its influence. As a result she has a duality to her personality that she struggles with. She is quite confident in her abilities and relies on the benefits of the blade heavily. She gathers magic for the sword almost like she herself needed it to survive and treats it almost like another person. She is a loner despite enjoying other people's company. She has a kind heart and feels for others despite being able to almost heartlessly hold a blade to their throat the next moment. On one hand she still acts her age but can very easily slip back into the mentality of a warrior thanks to Shinzui.
