Occupation:
Actor
Biography:
Nick was born the only son to two fairly famous parents; his mother an award-winning actress and his father a movie producer and former high profile attorney. He began acting before he was even a year old and by the time he was twelve he had managed to earn a couple decent movie credits and was a fairly well known child actor. Nick loved acting, for a kid what could be better than getting paid to play pretend all day. He never thought about pursuing another career, acting was everything to him and all he wanted to do was work. Before landing his role on Edenridge he had a couple other roles in television but it was Edenridge that made him a huge star. He was excited to take a role that would help him break the clean-cut child star image that had plagued him from what he considered serious work. He loved the shows concept and that it wasn’t afraid to take on difficult stories.
During his time playing Logan on Edenridge he was constantly in the spotlight, not just because of acting talent but also due to his parent’s ugly and very public divorce. While Nick graced the covers of teen magazines, his parents were constantly on the covers of magazines sharing each other’s deepest secrets and spreading lies. Nick spent as much time at work as he could, throwing himself into his craft at first but eventually turned to other methods to help him deal. With his Hollywood connections and deep pockets, it was easy for the now sixteen-year-old to access whatever drugs he wanted. For the first two seasons his partying never affected his work although stories and pictures of him frequently appeared in the tabloids which constantly infuriated the show’s producers. It was while filming the third season of the show that he really started causing problems. For the first half of the third season he had decided to give method acting a try, insisting on never breaking character and making the cast and crew actually call him Logan. He also manifested his character’s bad behaviors frequently getting into fights with his co-workers and crew members. He also would smoke pot on set, vandalized a few sets, and threw a huge party in the house that they used as his character’s house. After the house party incident and coming close to being written off the show he dropped the method acting phase. After that he would, on occasion, show up still high from the night before and even on days where he seemed sober it was clear that his constant partying was affecting his work ethic and quality. His character was going to be written off after season three before it was announced the show was ending.
After Edenridge ended Nick did a short stint in rehab mostly as an attempt to clean up his image. Shortly after rehab he landed a role as the lead in the cult hit, Knight Hunter, where he played Gavin Knight a wisecracking demon hunter. He did several genre films over the next few years before landing the role of Agent Jack Maverick in his own action franchise that catapulted him to A-list stardom. He was a household name making millions a movie but the success never seemed to satisfy him. Throughout his career, he was a making headlines with numerous scandals; DUI’s, cocaine use, a reputation of being difficult to work with, frequently losing his temper with the paparazzi and co-works, and constantly being in and out of rehab programs. Recently a video of him screaming at interns for stocking his trailer with the wrong brand of bottled water went viral. Then he was sued, and settled out of court, for assaulting a member of the paparazzi. After that he was fired from his dream role in a new Martin Scorsese film and after getting black out drunk that night he was pulled over for another DUI.
He's become a polarizing figure in Hollywood, while there are many people who dislike him he still maintains a large and devoted fan base. Nick’s been accused of being a bad role model, narcissistic, another privileged Hollywood kid who gets away with everything but just as many fans love his crazy larger than life persona. He frequently attends conventions and seems to genuinely enjoy interacting with fans both person and on social media. In between filming his action movies, he takes on low budget genre films for fun as well as guest star roles on television. He donated his paycheck from his last Maverick film to various charities and spends a decent amount of time helping out with whatever cause had caught his attention at the time. Of course, whenever he does a good deed it’s always in front on the cameras. Living his life in front cameras hasn’t always been easy for him and it’s made it very difficult to have healthy personal life. He constantly feels pressure to live up to the expectations others have of him and that if he’s not getting constant attention from the media he is failing.
Nick had just finished his latest stint in court mandated rehab, after his lawyer managed to keep him out of any jail time from his latest DUI, when his agent told him Edenridge was being revived. At first, he was against the thought of going back, mostly because it felt like a finished chapter in his life as well as feeling that the show should stay what it was rather than thrown in with the trend to revive and reboot things that would be better left alone. He preferred to move forward and do something new and exciting but his agent was quick to point out that he needed to do serious damage control for his image and no one else seemed interested in working with him at the moment. Nick figures he’d do the reboot for at least a season, see how it goes, make the fans happy, and hopefully stay out of too much trouble until the bad press dies down.Character Details:
Name:
Logan Rivers
Nickname:
None
Age:

Place of Origin:
Austen, Texas
Relationship Status:
Single
Occupation:
Bartender/Cook
Biography:
Logan was born in Texas but moved along with his mother to the Edenridge area of Boston when he was nine. His father, a career criminal, had recently been sent to prison for armed robbery and his mother was looking to start over. They moved to Edenridge just before Halloween and his mom was constantly working late shifts as a nurse. Young Logan, unwilling to miss out on free candy that year decided to go trick or treating alone as he had not had time to make any friends in the neighborhood that year. On his way home, he was beaten up by older kids who took his candy. Devastated he returned home to sulk on his front porch when he ran into another kid his age. This other kid cheered him up and even offered to share his candy. Logan made his first friend in Edenridge and all though he would go through many ups and downs in this new town being befriended Charlie Decker would impact his life the most. Logan and Charlie quickly became best friends, he was like the brother Logan had always wanted and when his own home was too lonely or if his mom brought home another loser boyfriend he stayed with Charlie and his mom.
The show’s first season had Logan and Charlie entering high school and struggling to fit in. They came from one of the rougher neighborhoods on the edge of Edenridge, spent their time listening to rap, punk and metal, spraying graffiti, shoplifting and getting high. It started off with typical rebellious teen behavior while Logan drifted towards more constructive outlets for his angst Charlie began to turn towards gang life. Logan ended up on the football and baseball teams finding a positive outlet for his anger and finding it easy to make new friends. He found that selling weed and party drugs quickly made him fairly popular with most groups in school. Didn’t matter the social circle everyone was looking to escape their problems in some way or another. His mom rarely cared what he was up too and he frequently had the house to himself so he held house parties as often as he could.
In the second season Logan started hanging out with Charlie and his gang more. Logan seemed to have a craving for danger and the adrenalin rush that went with it. He started getting into fights, joyriding, and breaking into houses to steal. At first it was just fun but Charlie kept trying to pressure him into joining the gang. His storyline that season culminated when he went with Charlie to collect from a guy who owed him money. The guy was short and Charlie started beating the hell out of the guy before pulling a knife on him and it all went too far for Logan. He pulled Charlie off the guy and the two of them got into the fight that ended their friendship.
By the third season they weren’t much more than neighbors and Logan would have never imagined his once close friend would shoot up the school. The day of the shooting Logan was a class room near Ty’s as Charlie shot him. He heard his murder one of their classmates and saw him fire at others. Logan ran from the school with the majority of his terrified classmates but he’s still haunted by his choice; had he stayed could he have stopped Charlie from hurting anyone else? He still wonders if he’d been a better friend maybe none of this would have happened or he maybe he should’ve gone to the police after watching Charlie beat a man to near death.
After the shooting, he fell apart; stopped showing up to practices, barely going to school or parties, and spending most of his time drinking alone or smoking weed. He constantly felt like people looked at him as being just as guilty and he felt just as guilty. He had also lost a friend and he couldn’t morn him, while he didn’t feel like he really knew the Charlie who had murdered and injured classmates he had also lost someone who had been like a brother to him throughout childhood. Logan managed to just barely graduate and right afterwards he enlisted in the Army, a decision that turned his life around. He felt some of his guilt alleviate with his service. The Army provided him with structure and purpose and knowing that he was helping people ended up helping him deal a bit better. Now that it’s the 10th anniversary of the shooting Logan is returning to Edenridge hoping to find some closure having just left the Army a year before. He’s managed to get a job at one of the local bars as a cook and bartender.
If I need to change anything I can, I didn't see too much info on the shooter so if what I wrote doesn't fit I can tweak it.
