- Natazume grew up on a small island called Shimmer Shores. She and her family ran a small fish market and soon began to export their catch to other communities. She has a younger brother named Kliver but unlike her, he doesn't have an interest in magic. Her family used to fish the old fashioned way with spears and fishing rods but when she began to dabble in water based magic, their family business took off. Kliver was vocal about his dislike of magic and how it tainted the art of fishing and being at one with nature. Their difference eventually became so heated that she left home to help others with her magic, as she no longer felt welcomed at home. -

Life:

- After leaving home at the age of 16, Natazume roams the world in her small fishing raft she made herself out of wood, iron, leather rope and a large light blue sail to match the color of the sky. A typical day for the woman consists of docking at whatever shore she is closest to and fishing for the locals. She sells what she catches and uses that money to pay for additional food. Normally her diet is based on vegetation and fish but sometimes she will splurge on bread. In the afternoon Natazume will sail onward and find shade under the large willow trees that crop out of the clear blue ocean. By dusk she had tied her raft to a willow tree and has settled in for a night under the stars. Since she finds comfort in being on the ocean, she seldom ventures onto land. Sometimes she'll follow a river inland but it's not often she does. -

Combat:

- Natazume has great skill in controlling water. On both of her pinky fingers is a small seafoam ring. These water filled runes allow her to control water and bend it to her will. She has been training on her own since she was ten years old though without a proper teacher and only a few books she could scrounge together, her skills are less about fighting and more about containing things. Though her magic she is able to summon orbs of water either in the air or underwater. These spheres can contain fish and other lightweight objects. She is also able to use her runes to banish water and create an orb of air for her to temporarily breathe under water. It is something she cannot frequently conjure though. Natazume is unable to turn water into ice though she is able to create small balls of water to use as medium range projectiles. Overall though, she is a lover more than she is a fighter. -

- Kiana comes from a small city known simply as Twin River Pass, located between the two major affluents to the Lord's River. The town was originally structured as a circle, with the rivers being its tangents, but eventually the town grew larger and larger, and the expansion lead to a triangular city, with multiple bridges to both sides of the rivers and a huge fishing community. Kiana lived all of her life in that city, sometimes dreaming of travelling far and wide, and sometimes enjoying the place like there was nothing else. The first, though, only grew with the years, and after serving as a River Hand (the City Watch of Twin River Pass), she decided to follow the call for adventure, and eventually, at age 22, bid farewell to her parents. She constantly writes letters to them whenever she can find a time and a place. -

Life:

- When she left home to the adventure and the lands from faraway tales, she made her mind to live on her own. At the young age of 15, she had helped countles times to prepare dinners and foods; by 19, she could fully skin almost any animal, through and through, and was always on the lookout in the forest for some tasty animal. Her father had teached her how to use the bow and arrow, and had taught her the ins and outs of hunting. During her time as a River Hand, she became more and more proficient in cooking and in hunting, and all of those things come into play now that she's on the road. She typically hunts her own food, but can also strike up a deal with some inn or locals, teaching them recipes or providing them with fresh meat in exchange for a roof over her head. Most of the time she waits for morning to move out of the city once more, saying propper goodbyes to everyone she has come to talk, and asking for directions to cities or landmarks, to start the adventure once again. -

Origin:

- Viktor hails from a town known as Iron Haven, the name was given after the local hills found seems of iron and coal ore. To be more productive it was colonized and now is a popular trade route for the kingdoms. As the men delve deeper into the ground other minerals were discovered, however much of the produce found is carted away for use in the cities in exchange for food, supplies even military defence.
This was where he was brought up, his father a miner and his mother a cook. Viktor takes after his father primarily strong and well built, from his mother finding the good in all things. In his adolescence he took up the job as an apprentice blacksmith helping the men smelt the ores down so they could be forged into bars before being shipped to the larger cities. As he grew up he became adept in smithing all manner of items from weapons and armour to tools, he had a knack of forging items for practical use. Things that had never been designed before, this however lead to jealousy amongst others and a meticulous nature within Viktor for good or bad.
At the age of 25 Viktor found himself at a plateau being stuck in this town with no aims so he gathered some wears and left his family following a caravan along a trade route to these fabled giant cities hoping adventure would lead him to a better well being -


Life:

- Viktor now works as a free lance smithy learning more skills with each smithy he works alongside. There's always something that needs to be fixed, maintained or newly forged leaving him with ample work, some he does for free in barter for a room and board. The job allows him to meet all sorts of people and stories of their adventures and settlements they have visited. With so much time by the forge it isn't without its hazards, through his time concentrating up close his eyes have slowly deteriorated when it comes to distance. Viktor can still see colours and shapes but the outline is always blurry. Also during his training Viktor unfortuneately misconstrued his hand for the metal thus hammering his index and middle finger, lucky it caught the tips which he lost rather than the entirety.
Viktor keeps a note of each dwelling he has lived and the one he wishes to visit. When the time is right and the want to see more if world envelopes his body he finishes his contracts bids farewell to the residences and makes way. He usually tags along with shipments and caravans for safe passage being another make shift guard but also able to make repairs if need be. With each movement from city to city it isn't always smooth sailing, bandits, mercenaries and pirates to name a few always wanting their take. With these problems Viktor carries with him a two handed warhammer for defence rather than offence, he is no hero that bards would create songs over however due to his size and strength he does cast a slight intimidation amongst some foes. Luckily his travels hasn't seen many fights that others would relish upon but it has never deterred him from continuing his journey gaining more skill as a smithy and ticking off the list of cities to visit. -

Due to his size he is rather slow with his actions but still intimidating with his large strikes. He will only draw his weapon when attacked or to defend his friends -

- Long ago some great long forgotten cataclysm destroyed all the dwarf surface cities on their home island, the only dwarfs that survived are the ones who fled to the deep, in tunnels that took generations to excavate they survive what befell those above. Many are still there, living simple lives tending to underground farms from the light of magma. but some, some wanted to be free, to regain the surface. Over many generations knowledge turned to faith, faith that there was a land further up where there were no cavern walls, where a great ball of magma sat in the ceiling and gave its light across the entire world. A thousand years later dwarfs walked dazed into the sunlight, emerging from the ruins of their former capital city, dropped to their knees and praised the sun.

And they took to their new found freedom with vigor, becoming travelers, journeying till they reached the ocean, learning the art of sailing from the humans and then just kept going. There are therefore a trail of dwarf types: those that still dwell in the dark, those that reached the sun and retook their homes, those that travel the land and finally those that took to the ocean. Many dream of the sky. Our dwarf is one of the sea.-


Life:

- Andrik was born in the later days of the ascension, he learned the art of druidry down in the dark, with his bestial forms he assisted with the digging upwards and fending off the monsters that came to disturbed their holy work. Then he and his family breached the surface and began their travels till they reached the sea. For a people who had scrounged for every drop deep below such an expanse was enrapturing, the ability to travel so far so fast on ships a boon to their freedom. His family became sailors and traders as he learned the creatures of the salty air, the clear waters and the abyssal depths.

While some were content to stay in one group of islands or one trade route Andrik roamed far and wide, using his shape shifting to spend time away from people and explore places where they couldn’t go or acting as a guard, merchant or navigator on trade craft traveling to lands far away. He has become that seldom seen uncle who sometimes shows up out of the blue with gifts from far away lands for his nieces and nephews-

- Andrik has done quite a bit of fighting over the years, first against monsters from the deep as a young dwarf and later against pirates or aggressive sea creatures, though these events where more uncommon. In all these things he has the tactic of a beast, be big and scary and if you must fight hurt your enemies till they get it in their heads that it’s a good idea to run. There is little finesse, either be big and scary, fast and vicious or flee to find some lads to help you with the problem.

Druid Shapeshift: up to about the size of an orca and down to the size of a bat. Only gains physical attributes and not magical, if he turned into a basilisk he couldn’t turn people to stone but he would be big scary snake. Similarly turn into a magically or psychically gifted race does not let him use their skills.
Shape changing is almost instant but rapid shifting is tiring and depending on how tired (or drunk) he is he might not get the right shape. Injuries persist from one form to the next. Can turn into creatures from the sea and the underground, into Domesticated animals and can lean new forms through study of specimens-

-Not very sure, thinks it's twenty to thirty years? Really, preferably, twenty. ... Must be twenty. No, nineteen! ...yeah. *starts wondering if anyone would believe seventeen*

Origin:
Flashes of a tattered homestead, roiling smoke and the churn of grinding metal. Giovanni cusps his forehead with one hand and irritatedly scratches his oddly furry neck with the other. Ever since he was "woken up", some of his memories became like ghosts in the mists - incomprehensive and fleeting, but always teasingly just out of reach. He vaguely remembers that life was not very fulfiling, that the world seemed a sickening place, that he wanted it all to end. But why?

Rolling over his aching body, he pushed himself up with one arm and felt a sticky red dust smear his fingers. Blood!? He traced it to his own clothing, his shirt ripped by a set of gashing holes that ran across his chest. Alarmed, he quickly touched the wound, only to find a thick scar had long closed over it. ...How?

Many questions roamed his mind now, while he himself roamed towards the seats as the jittery buzz of adrenaline fades slowly into a pleasurable hum .......


Life:
...soon he found himself looking at his upturned, calloused hands, starting to imagine the work he did. Or what words came when he conceptualized the word "work". The clammy texture of rubber, cold metal wires, and the buzzing sting of electricity. Yes, these phantom sensations felt farmiliar, almost ...real. He felt a brief smidgeon of relief. Musing on them even further- blueprints and various protocols came to mind, from the simple ballista to the towering mage spires that dot the capital of an unknown land. Perhaps he had a stint as a mechanic of sorts ...

Gio, for short, then spends the rest of the evening staring at empty space, taking in the many scents of the night, all in quiet contemplation of what might well be his past.

Well, at least he remembers his name.


Talents:

- Engineering -Gio possesses a mechanically inclined mindset, making it easy for him to build, modify and repair devices. While hardly a genius by any standard, his wide breath of techniques from boundless inquisitiveness lends him a bit of an edge when it comes to engineering.
- Abjuration -Some are born talented, others have studied years for their first time. Gio is somewhere in between when it comes to magical sciences. Neither savant or incapable. His altrusic nature has gravitated him towards understanding the mysteries of barriers, wards and other protective arts. Though retaining only a modicum of what he used to know, it seems he requires more study to regain any measure of fluency.
- Sharp Senses -Ever since waking up, Gio has experienced an unnaturally acute sense of smell and hearing. But sees things in a slightly monochrome hue. Could it be a side effect of the stasis they were in?
- Manual Strength and Dexterity -He is quick and nimble with his hands as required by his supposed profession, and years of lugging around heavy things have led him to overcome a good measure of physical fraility. So he thinks.

- Morbid - He has a pessimistic, dark sense of humor and view of life. He believes most people are scum and he can be especially cruel to those he deems his enemies,
much to the chargrin of even those he actually care about. His jokes may also be unfunny to most, as a side effect.

Origin:
- Eli grew up in a modest town, not too small, yet not too big either; a community always bustling with activity, with spirited young people and a plethora of activities and festivals to enjoy. Indeed, the culture surrounding the town of Acrine was a highly festive one, with people all around the island often visiting to take part in one of the various festivities. It was a town with a little something for everyone. Such culture did a lot to influence Eli to become the spontaneous, vigorous person that he is today, but his family had also taught him to be caring and kind to those in need. And having a three years younger sister to take care of, Eli taught himself how to be unforgiving to any bullies. And wooers alike. He was the big brother after all.

Eli learned first hand what it means to take care for someone and with his parents being researchers that travelled around the world - he had to learn some of the essentials, especially the fine art of cooking.

When he was ready, and old enough, they left the care of his sister to him, trusting that he would know how to be the patriarch of their household. He had no resentment for them going away to work, as they were providing for the two of them and kept in contact. Besides, he was taught from early age that people should follow their dreams and do what they love. Even if it means that sometimes it is against what the majority is doing.

Around that time, Eli met a group of boys his age, soon finding out that true friendship is indeed an irreplaceable gift. They were a bit of rascals, doing things their own way. Having to run away from bigger kids or authorities (Eli: "only those two times!") led towards Eli becoming a skilled acrobat, combining stunning feats combined with a great stamina. As the years had passed, and they became more mature, Eli took the role of a leader of their little group. He didn't want to nor taught that he is the right person for the job, but the others were too hotheaded for their own good sometimes. He was the calmest of them. And was always rallying his friends not to give up on their dreams, without losing that signature smile on his face. Never once showing a sign of resignation.

In hindsight, his sister and his friends made him the person that he is today. The love he has for them sometimes so fierce that he would go against the status quo just for their sake. -


Life:
- There is little that Eli refuses to do, especially if it helps other people. Since he was quite an athlete in his hometown, Eli loved providing carrier services to the townsfolk. It was much easier for him to deliver something than an old grandma or grandpa. He felt their struggle and was obliged to help. Something from within had tugged him to do it. Besides, being able to run around town, jumping over obstacles and testing himself to reach one side of the town faster each time, without being on the wrong side of the authorities - it was amazing. The rush of adrenaline and the feeling of fresh air in his lungs was always a joy.

When he was not running, he had plenty of time to sit down and have a hearty meal with his friends; often drinking, eating and hanging out 'till late in the night, dreaming of the future and all the potential that they have in them. Who knows what the future holds for them. They didn't, but it didn't stop them from dreaming. -

Such and similar stories became a mainstay around Eli's friends. As Eli was never much of a fighter, nor wished to provoke anyone, his friends had instead began teasing him by retelling all of his peaceful outcomes into epic stories of battle, pride and testosterone.

In reality, Eli never had much use from fighting, there were a couple of tense situations in his childhood when one of his more hot-headed friends provoked the other group of, more often than not, older kids. They had a few true altercations, but in most cases, it was mostly up to Eli to straighten things out; calm his friend and talk the other group down. He never truly needed to fight, as his relaxed nature was greeted fairly well by other people. Nor did he wish to, what was the point in fighting someone if he was able to talk and laugh with them instead? -
