"Down, boy."Name: Syrene
(pron. sigh-ren) Ludovica "The Siren" Dunne
Age: 29
Height: 175cm (5'8")
Weight: 63kg (139lbs)
Likes: Dark chocolate, brutal honesty, men who are easily flustered, the colour black, fire, wide brimmed hats, doing equestrian sports (specifically dressage), big dogs, reptiles, almost all animals really, dog shows, gothic literature, platinum jewellery, sentimental hand-made gifts, designer items, herbal tea, most flowers, horror movies, stuffed animals, warm days, money, the beach, lace, sex, sushi, classic wines (red or white)
Dislikes: People who are anti-animals, beer, staying at work late, microwave dinners, the cold, sketchy alleys, most if not all kinds of recreational drugs (though she doesn't mind people who do them), bell peppers, men who aren't committed, girls who don't realise their worth, mint (she prefers fruity flavours)
Party Trick: She does impressions. They're pretty good, actually!
Profession: Professor of English Literature at the academy.
Bio/Personality: Syrene has only moved to Shine City some time in the last few months following being hired for a new position at the Shine City Academy. Her father is Irish and her mother is Italian, and she bears a familial relationship to the late Alessandra Goretti - it's a small world, it seems, as she is her cousin from her mother's side. She is the child of her mother's second marriage, which is much happier than her first, which ended in a cold divorce.
She currently resides in a split-level studio apartment in the centre of the city, but religiously makes sure to take her dog for walks in the nearby park and socialise him frequently so he doesn't get too bored. Fortunately, her family was pretty well off (but not infinitely rich) so she can afford luxuries in life. However, she evidently needs to become more grounded, as this habit of living in a designer world is fairly costly, and may be something she will be unable to keep up with forever.
As a person, Syrene values honesty and can be known to be very direct. She is flirtatious when it works to her benefit, but can otherwise be defined as a tease - alluring but never quite caving, despite her nymphomaniac tendencies in her earlier days. She isn't as cold as her wardrobe gives off, enjoying a good laugh and a good drink, and being a very big fan of music - especially the violin.
She's quick to admit that the "declarations of undying affection" from some of her male students is most definitely flattering, and though she turns them down as gently - or flatly when required - as possible, it does not affect their professional relationship.
That being said, she doesn't mind her men older or younger, and though she knows it will be heavily scandalous to be in a relationship with a student at the very academy, she is a firm believer that if it is meant to be, whatever else will happen will just have to happen, and they'll have to see what happens next.
She owns a male doberman who is 4 years old and in fighting-fit condition called Tresoro, lovingly dubbed by her mother and soon picked up by Syrene as well. The dog is patient with its owners and quiet but intelligent, but equally is not afraid to use its 600-PSI bite to rip a limb off anyone who pushes their luck. Tresoro is infinitely loyal to Syrene, and especially her mother Alice from the Dunne household.
