"Life is too short to not enjoy it while you can."
Name
Booker "Book" Leroy Odie
Age
26
Appearance
Book is a massive individual, towering over most around him and having a mind bogglingly bulky body build. He is a practical walking mountain of muscle, his size seemingly shrinking the world around him. Despite his imposing stature Book's other traits causes him to give off a overall warm and joyful air. He has a wide nose and full, thick lips that usually sit in the form of a smile. His skin is a light shade of coffee brown and has a few faded freckles peppered about it, namely across his cheeks and nose, which seem to be the only indicator of his mixed race heritage. He has thick oak brown hair that hangs down below his shoulders, likewise he has a neatly trimmed beard of the same color that is paired with a set of sideburns. His eyes are a rich chocolate color and are full of a undeniable happiness and mirth. He has a series of nicks and scars over his hands from a long life of mistakes in the kitchen. His left shoulder has a lively arrange of roses tattooed on it, they spread from his pectoral all the way to his shoulder blade. Though only a few know it Book has a small heart shaped birthmark on a rather intimate part of his body, don't get too excited it's just on his rear.
Book dresses pretty simply, little more than a simple T-shirt paired with jeans and some boots or if he is feeling classy a button up long sleeve shirt. His work attire is just as simple seeing as it is composed of a pair of black jeans, some sensible black sneakers, a sleeveless black shirt that has the restaurant's name, "Fire It Up!", printed on it in fiery letters, and lets not forget the stylish apron and hair net.

Bio/Personality
"You want to know about me? Well if you say so. Hmm I guess the best place to start is with my folks. My pop is real simple, namely because I never met the man. He was in the military, or so I'm told, he didn't stick around long after having a little late night fun with my mama. My mama though, Miss Rose Odie, she was one hell of a women who made miracles out of nothing. We were poorer than a blind man's piss pot, but she wouldn't let that keep her from doing everything in her power to raise me right. She always had a lot of love in her heart, shared it with everyone around even if a few of them didn't deserve it. She had steady enough work, she was what a lot of people would call a voodoo priestess, but most people just came to her to have their fortunes told. She always stayed true to her beliefs, even when some people would call her a crazy witch. She was the one that got me hooked on cooking, said I had a fire for it. Always had a smile on her lips and a song in her voice... until she got sick. Mama was smoker you see, had been ever since I was born, and eventually it all caught with her and she.. It has been about five years now since she passed, but damn I miss her.
But that is enough of that stuff, not here to bring you all down. I grew up in the Big Easy itself, that's right the great city of New Orleans. The music, the food, and the people all have this certain spice of life that you can't find anywhere else. But growing up there isn't exactly easy, you learn to get tough quick and do a few things that you aren't too proud of just to get by, but I wouldn't change a single thing about it. As much as I love home I had to get out and see the world at some point and what better place to do that than Shine City.
Been in Shine City going on five years now. Starting off was a bit though, namely getting a job. But eventually I found one and uh err lets just say it wasn't the most upstanding of work. Luckily I was able to get on board at Fire It Up once it was starting up. Now here I am, the best damn grill master this city has ever seen, soon to be the best cook too. Hmm I guess there isn't much else to tell... How about we grab something to eat?"
-----
Book is a incredibly passionate man, this passion being much like a fire. At times his passion can burn gently, providing warmth and joy to those around him as he gives off a light in the darkness. Other times it is a roaring inferno that burns so bright that he blinds those around him and won't stop until he burns himself out. There is little that will deter him from reaching his goals, once his mind set on something he will do everything in his power to get it done. A lot of people find Book to be a great person to talk to, whatever you want to vent about be it big or small the big lug is more than happy to listen. Book is as boisterous as he is mind-bogglingly big, being incredibly hearty, animated, and living life to the fullest. Growing up mixed race, his mother being black and his father white, Book was picked on a lot for it so he has a real sore spot towards bigots. Book has a light accent reflecting his roots of being from New Orleans, when he gets flustered it tends to get thicker to the point that he switches to speaking Cajun French altogether. Despite his past employment Book isn't all that forward when it comes to making moves on people he is interested in, though he wouldn't admit it he is a bit clueless about the whole love scene. It could be a way of trying to connect with his mom, but Book in his spare time will look into some taboo topics here and there just to remind himself of her. Overall Booker has a heart twice the size of him and he wears it on his sleeve, you would be hard pressed to find someone more caring.
