Might I ask where the completed CS is? I'd like to get a feel for the kind of characters that are going up before I post my own character.

It's Rumiko's, I'll let her post it if she's around. Powers are mainly heightened intelligence and she's an omni-lingual, and can see something's history through sense of touch. Alias: Cypher.

Found out a bit ago that RPG was running again. Since you've ran the best superhero thread I'd been in, I was curious if you had room for one more committed player, assuming you hadn't started...or already had every slot taken. >_>

Name - Xander Arelius
Alias - Spectre
Age - 19
Powers - Spectre is able to teleport to any location within 50 meters that he has a direct line of sight to. He can also phase through any non living material. He is able to move with complete silence, is rather agile, and is an expert knife fighter.
Weaknesses - When he phases through objects, it creates a very audible crackling sound, similar to static, but much louder. Also, his teleportation can only be done in straight lines, he cannot teleport around objects or through them. An exception is energy barriers, though this always hurts him and disorients him for a few seconds. Additonally, he must be able to focus to phase through objects, so objects moving towards him at high speeds are likely to hit him.
Personality - Spectre is rather reserved and antisocial, he generally avoids people. However, if you are able to befriend him, he is fiercely loyal. He has a bit of a sadistic streak as well, though he only exercises this on those whom he believes deserve it. Ultimately, however, he is actually rather lonely. He has never been seen to smile.
Appearance - Xander is short, standing only 5 foot 2 inches. He is clean shaven and his hair is shoulder length. His hair is white, styled into a spiky pattern than hangs partially into his face, with red tips at the end of each spike. His eyes are a pale blue, and his skin is also pale. He is rather handsome, but there is a long garish jagged scar that runs from his hairline just past his left eye and ends at his jawline. He is thin and wiry, having a small frame and narrow shoulders. He normally wears dark clothing, though for some reason he prefers to wear white gloves at all times with his other clothing. When he assumes the identity of Spectre, he also dons a mask that covers his forehead, eyes, cheeks and jawline,leaving his mouth free to speak. The mask is styled to look like two skeleton hands, fingers together, curving down his face, the fingers ending at his jawline, his eyes peeking through the palms. As Spectre, he tends to wear a long dark coat, though not always.
Brief Bio - When he was a child, he was tormented constantly by other children for his reclusive nature and pale complexion. When he was 8, one of them gave him his scar with a sharpened stick, slashing him open. His powers awoke that night, as he lay in his hospital bed unconscious. He awoke the next morning to find the body dead, killed in his sleep. Horrified, and yet elated somehow, he ran away from home. He lived on the streets for many months, but was eventually returned to his parents. By this time, they had begun to think there was something wrong with him. They began to act afraid of him, and when he was 12, he ran away again. This time he stayed away, and learned to teach himself to survive. Since then, he has re-entered society, though his real goals and aspirations remain a mystery, as those around him still believe him to be odd and avoid him. He has also begun to act as a vigilante, targeting those who have a habit of harming innocents, especially women and children.
Notes - Most of those who know about his abilities also fear/avoid him, partly because of his personality, and partly because his abilities are potent and dangerous. He has embraced a thought process in which he believes himself to be a spirit of vengeance and retribution for the weak.

Name - "Keepa"
Alias - Keter
Age - Appears 18ish (Flight time of the 'birth nexus' ranging around 300 years (Official Creation: upon introduction post))
Powers - 'Keepa', being constructed of a dark mater contained within the crystal they had landed in, Keepa's general mass is able to skirt shadows nearly invisibly to the unwitting eye. Though it shimmers like spilled ink as a tell, Keepa's mass is able to stretch to fill tight corners or fit through tight places (such as under doors or through vent grating or even another person's shadow). Due to the malleability of Keepa's mass, they are capable of forming blades from their mass nearly at a whim, on top of other various weaponized movements or binding those who may be clumsy enough to allow themselves to be snared, simply by stepping on them. There are numerous applications and advantages that having such a form could potentially hold, although these listed are the most common. (Crazy stuff will be run by the GM or AU before posting)

Weaknesses - Considering the dark environment Keepa had adapted to, either from the time spent in the crystal or from wherever they originated, Keepa's mass is highly sensitive to direct light. Sustained exposure calluses the outer layer of their mass, giving it a porcelain smoothness. Unfortunately, it also holds roughly the same durability if not a bit tougher (handle with care). Thankfully, due to the nearly weightlessness of the interior mass, Keepa weighs little more than 20lbs, with most of their weight coming from what clothes they wear and the callused outer layer, making the possibility of damaging themselves simply through walking a non-issue. While locked in this body form, Keepa is susceptible to blunt force which may shatter the shell, exposing more of their mass to the light and being forced to endure the disintegration agony that comes from it and the callusing process. Keepa's mass is gradually restored through the consumption of most carbon-based materials.
Due to the callusing process, Keepa's eyes are burned smooth through the same means. While in body form, Keepa is mostly blind except for an acute style of echolocation.

Personality - Naive, curious, volatile

BRIEF Bio - Having fallen from the sky, encased in a meteor which had been held together through magnetic means, a large crystal (The size of a moderately sized gazebo) with a dark blue hue crashed through an off-shore wind turbine. The event tore most of the crystal in half, a good portion sinking into the ocean while the rest slid through the surf until running aground. The police were quick to respond, along with light military backup, only to find a crumbling shell of the half of the crystal which was composed of highly impure diamond. The darkness having left the wreck which could have held a modern sedan, the area was quarantined. Calling it quits after a day of combing the beach and utilizing submersible vehicles to search for traces of the contents of the gem, the focus of the police force was redirected to the odd reports of an oddly dressed woman(?) performing vigilantist acts...to which no trace of the original criminal could be found. Murder investigations are underway, but with no fingerprints or any DNA besides that of the shaken would-be victims and their consistent reports of the same person, most of the cases were abandoned. Who really cared about a few missing hooligans?
Notes - Keepa's voice is formed through a construction of flute-like chirps that are used to form words. This is a new concept to them, as the words are often poorly formed, bleeding into a sort of language which seemingly consists of multi-tuned hums and chirps in a drawn-out song-like fashion. Thankfully, interpretation and mimicry are Keepa's strong suits. This isn't to say Keepa cannot speak...only that it will take some work for anything close to English to be produced.
- Keepa is a suspiciously fast learner, bringing into question the original purpose of its arrival.
- The nature or level of sentience Keepa possesses is unknown, communication being hit or miss at times (to begin with).

Name: Liu Qing (流青)
Alias: Chaotic Blue
Age: 25
Powers: blue-colored chi that she gathers in her hands to strike critical areas; able to turn invisible; various gadgets and tools; lifelong training as a ninja has given her agility and flexibility
Weaknesses: very poor defense; only specializes in close-range combat so she has no long-range moves; Chaotic Blue isn’t suited to heavy combat, preferring to stay in the shadows and cause trouble through subterfuge and espionage
Personality: taciturn; mysterious; able to keep secrets; quiet and doesn’t engage in arguments nor does she ask many questions
Appearance: Chinese woman with very short black hair who likes to wear blue clothes in civilian life. As Chaotic Blue, she wears a mask that covers her mouth and a bodysuit colored ultramarine blue, with belts and holsters to hold her tools and weapons. Her boots and gauntlets are black and have steel patterns of a skull and spine (will draw picture of her later)
BRIEF Bio: Liu Qing was raised in a hidden village of super powered ninjas – mercenaries who worked in the shadows and performed missions for the highest bidders. Through years of extensive training and successful missions, Qing’s emotions were shunted as she witnessed the darkest sides of humanity through her work. Thus, she has no interest in mingling with society unless it pertains to work, and is incapable of seeing the good in others. Her jobs can range from espionage, assassination, information theft, infiltration and sabotage.
The grandmaster saw it fit to send Qing to (story’s city) and told her to assume an identity. She created the name Chaotic Blue – a blue shadow that exists to cause discord. She infiltrated the city the previous year and has remained here as a Chinese immigrant working at a CEO’s office as a secretary. Even in her day job, Qing remains stoic and professional.
Notes: Originally was my City of Villains character. Her alias is a reference to one of the four demon lords from the Slayers series.

Like I said, I'm just bringing my City of Villains character here, and then adding character elements from stealth games like Solid Snake's cleverness and 47's detached professionalism. She's not really based off of a comic book character, although I'm more familiar with Marvel than DC.

Well let's see... aside from making blood constructs/distance attacks with the drops and puddles and such, you also want heightened physical attributes as well as the ability to decrease them in others as well as being able to control somebody's body by using their blood? And to sustain power he has to drink blood? Honestly if he was a vampire it'd make more sense, but as is it seems a bit over powered. And really, you take all the blood in a person's body and freeze it solid what would you have? Maaaaybe a few water balloons full.... that's not much to work with even draining you dry.The whole being able to jump into a villain's body and control them is a bit of a downer too.

There's just so much more out there you could work with. Hydrokinesis has always been one of my favorite underused powers. I'd say terrakinetic but there's already somebody in talks to either have that power or just skin and bones made of earth and stone. Hell give him the ability to control a mystical red flame and make fire constructs.

You're welcome to wait until the ooc...which really won't pop up until at least a few characters have been established, from what I hear.

Name - Phoebe Jones and Sraif (Sr-ay-ff)

Alias - Symbiont ("An organism living in a state of symbiosis". I'll come up with a better name soon.)

Age - Phoebe is 24. Sraif's age is unknown, but she claims to be an adult.

Powers - Phoebe is an ordinary human with no powers. All of her "powers" come from Sraif and "her" ability to amplify the host's natural abilities. Her powers include heightened sight, touch, smell, and taste, heightened reflexes, heightened strength and speed, near-perfect memory (which is actually just Sraif "flipping" through Phoebe's memory like a book) a high resistance to pain, and a telekinetic/energy shield around Phoebe. Sraif and Phoebe are connected telepathically, and Sraif can communicate to others with telepathy.

Weaknesses - Electricity--it can kill Sraif in a second. Also, Phoebe's left ear is useless--that's Sraif's way in and out of her head.

Personality - Phoebe's energetic, a joker, and loves to compete. Sraif is calm, collecting, and honest. (A bit of an "old soul", as Phoebe calls it.)

Appearance -

BRIEF Bio - Phoebe was an average Psych major at (INSERT LOCAL PUBLIC COLLEGE NAME HERE) when the latest weird catastrophe happened. A piece of "space junk"--as the local media deemed the unrecognizable hunk of metal--crashed in a nearby lake. A good bit of water turned to steam and created some hot fog on campus. Of course, everyone ran over to see what happened. In chaos, Sraif managed to swim out of the lake and take over the body of a stray dog. Using the dog as a hiding place and transport, Sraif escaped the "scene of the crime" and ran into the city. Phoebe and Sraif's paths crossed many times, until Sraif took her chance and leapt from the dog's ear to Phoebe's. She forced Phoebe to sleep and told her everything; that she fell out of orbit while observing humans for her thesis (Sraif was earning a degree in Exobiology. Yes, they have college in space.) and crash-landed on Earth, that her species could not survive on their own, and that the dog was an unsuitable host and she really did not want to force her will onto another being. In the dream-state, Phoebe agreed, and after a few shaky weeks of coexistance, they became best friends, and started to fight crime.

Notes - Phoebe uses no weapons, and her costume is a red turtleneck, black ski mask (with holes for eyes and mouth), and sweatpants. She beats up criminals with her bare hands.

((Odd character, but I wanted to try it out, sine it's been in planning for a while.))
