Kyle watched as the others climbed the second tier. All expect his sister and some newcomer. He sighed. Of course leaving Ivy with someone else had been a mistake. He doubted his sister could focus long enough to climb. Rock climbing took alot of focus. Ivy managed to get the harness on but not the helmet. He blamed Lin for that. The safety gear was there for a reason. He sighed as his sister got distracted and started walking away from the cliff. He had two choices. He could scold Lin for not taking watching seriously and leave her to pay the consequences. Or he could go get his sister. He wanted to stay and climb but he knew he wouldn't be able to focus. Not while he knew that his sister was unsupervised. He headed to the ledge.

Cecilia beamed as she rode out the uniquely pleasant sensation of Neric's affection, feeling his nebulous plumage against her cheek. She delicately held her arm over the Void, about as close to a hug as she'd imagine possible with a bird-like being. She too momentarily looked on at Lin's hard-fought climb to the top, a brutal trial of a display that, besides prompting her to avert her direct line of sight out of a kind of modesty and respect, was something of a bad omen that loomed over her, given how much more capable the girl seemed compared to herself. Her concerns weren't completely selfish however, as she was very cognizant of how painful and embarrassing it must have been for her. However, Cecilia would soon consider how it wouldn't be long till she too would find herself more than a little acquainted with a similar degree of difficulty. She couldn't help it.

James referencing stargazing helped take Cecilia's mind off the whole thing for a time, her response with a tinge of delightful surprise. It appeared as though he was preoccupied with something for a second, Neric shuddering just enough for her to sense something was up. They could have been just as perturbed as she was over the next stages, but somehow she doubted it was that clear cut. "Oh, right. I'm looking forward to it. I've been looking forward to it," she said under a rather excited smile. She was concerned with what could have been bothering them, but decided against bringing it up for now; they'll share what they're comfortable sharing when they're comfortable sharing it. And what with two more walls in the way, she didn't want to cause James to lose focus just to satiate her curiosity.

"Really? Well that's nice to know that you are looking forward to it." *James would say with a slight blush and big smile, looking at her as Neric snuggles against her cheek. Sighing to himself as he looks back up at the wall, not wanting to ruin their time of snuggles or whatever you would call that. He didn't know what to consider that really. But thankfully Lin was finally up at the top, keeping his vision off her the whole time as to avoid looking up her skirt or anything like a pervert. Same goes for Cecilia in her skirt, being polite overall. Looking back over at Cecilia as the Void hops off her shoulder and forms at the ground into his regular cat of a form. Curling up and watching everything, purring softly after the affection. James chuckling and looking back at Cecilia as he speaks. "Seems you two are getting along quite well, should I leave you both alone?" He says jokingly, but the Void would look up at him for a moment before looking back at the wall while shaking his head.

After many minutes of following the fiery haired Ivy, Carrie, along with Lin, was lead into a clearing where the trees halted. Instead, out of the ground grew a large, multilevel cliff. Upon it, Carrie saw a number of other people, many on the bottom of the third tier, but a few on the top of it, one of which, one which Ivy pointed out, was her brother. Carrie filed this away in the back of her mind for possible future use, before following Lin's instructions and gathering the harness, the goggles, and the helmet needed for the activity. It took a few minutes for Carrie to figure out how to work the harness, and by the time she had, Lin was already halfway up the second tier. She then proceeded to slide the goggles over her eyes and placed the helmet on her head, cinching the strap tightly under her chin. Once she was already, she took a few seconds to watch Lin as she struggled up the third level.

"Way to go, Miss Lin!" she shouted when the blonde flung herself over the ledge and onto the top of the third tier. She then turned to look at Ivy, who was wandering away from the cliffside. Picking up an extra helmet, Carrie made her way towards Ivy, approaching her from behind. Once within arms reach, Carrie slid the helmet onto Ivy's ginger hair. "Here you are, Madame Ivy. Now I do think it'd be best for us to get started on climbing. I personally don't want to find out what the counselors do to the kids who don't follow the rules." she said, a pleasant smile upon her lips. As she pulled her hand away from its resting place atop the ginger's helmet, something small flew out of her sleeve, something unseen by everyone except her and Ivy: a butterfly. Though there was something odd about it. The insect seemed to be made of gold, with a yellow color and metallic luster. And there was something else mesmerizing about it, like it would capture one's attention and refuse to give it back. It gracefully fluttered through the air and landed on Ivy's nose for a moment, before proceeding to fly up the first wall.

"It would appear as though Stella likes you. She only appears for those who she trusts." Carrie said with a smirk. "Now why don't you go ahead and follow her. It seems like she wants to show you something."

“Ha ha, very funny,” Cecilia facetiously remarked with a smile to match when she turned her full attention back at James. Her hand opposite him, now free, moved to rest itself over his forearm. She didn’t mean to make him feel left out in any way and was keen to make it up to him when she had the chance, that is, if she could still move after this whole climbing thing was over with. During a somewhat long sigh that sounded more plaintive than she would have liked, she glanced at the next phase they’d have to scale. “I guess we shouldn’t put it off, huh?” she said, referring pensively to their next stage.

Since the two of them seemed to have lowered themselves down after their successful attempts, there may have been a bit of walking they’d have to do to get to the top of stage two before tackling stage three itself. Cecilia would rather take the trip with James and Neric, electing to simply hold hands with the boy so as not to risk either of them tripping on the other’s feet while walking up the perhaps uneven dirt path. She’d be blushing throughout all this of course, somewhere along the line beginning to silently fret over how clammy her hand was getting, between the late summer morning, worrisome anticipation and just being with James.

“This is it… I-I’ll just go first and you can meet me at the top. Sound good?...” Cecilia would ask, getting progressively unnerved just by being in proximity to the wall. She approached the start, intent on going first anyway, attempting to confidently look back at James and Neric with what she felt was a rather convincing facade, though she honestly doubted she was fooling either of them at this point.

Cecilia might as well have been in a dentist waiting room with the wall towering over her as she just sort of went through the motions of being hooked into the safety line. Getting started as soon as the okay was given, she found the first third of the ascent easy enough, the small break serving her well through the initial toeholds. Yet no sooner had she reached the halfway mark when her muscles started to ache under the strain, her arms finding each new hold harder to reach than the last. Cecilia’s pace slowed to a stop, her depleting energy being devoted towards keeping her from falling rather than any kind of progress. After a quick glance the rest of the way up, her head slumped downward under a tired and frustrated sigh. If there was any silver lining to all this, it was that, instead of a skirt, she had actually been sporting some outdoor hiking legwear, which was just a few pockets short of being considered cargo pants in her opinion.

The welcome assurance of not being particularly leered at would only pleasantly distract her for a few moments, the burning in her extremities serving as an ever present reminder that, if she didn’t make it to the top soon, she’d most certainly fail this challenge. She had originally chosen a mostly artificial route primarily featuring placed grips, however she decided upon a shorter but more arduous course. Her fingers felt the burden especially, and although she was glad she wasn’t the kind of girl to insist on long or elaborate nails, she could tell the natural ledges and slits were getting narrower, her finger tips beginning to carry her weight with every move.

It came to the point where Cecilia just couldn’t hold on, her hand losing it’s tentative grip while she was laboriously outstretching her other arm. Very much aghast during the ensuing free fall, her helpless gasp came prior to a yelp in pain when she fell backwards and slammed against a relatively jagged section of wall, her safety line abruptly halting her descent and drawing her into it, her left shoulder blade getting the brunt of the impact. Cecilia winced in pain, her right arm reaching out to grab onto any handhold to continue, having to make up the distance as well as the rest of the final third of the stage under a very stinging handicap.

Progress was grueling, Cecilia’s bruise and her limbs especially feeling as though they were on fire as she was forced to take the longer path, her incessant, heavy breathing and pained grunts at the more challenging portions: a very good sign that she wasn’t having a good time. When she had finally reached the top, her right arm would try and pick up the slack and cling to the edge of the cliff, he left arm just about spent in light of a sharp throbbing from her bruise whenever she moved said appendage. Though success was in her grasp, she was completely exhausted. She rested her head sideways against the ledge, eyes closed as she effectively shut down, her perception fading amidst her own labored breathing. Her turn might not have been over, but it sure felt like it was.

Chuckling softly at her words, James would just shrug it off with a smile. More or less showing he was joking about the situation. Shifting his hand in hers to hopefully make it feel better between them, but mostly worried about the next stages. They can see it's getting harder and harder as they continue. Will either of them have the endurance to complete them all? Regardless those questions can wait while they continued up the path, enjoying the time he has with the Void running ahead and the girl he was holding hands with.

Though once he reached the wall, he would gulp silently to himself. Did they really have to do this? This seemed much harder suddenly now that he was looking at it. A bit intimidated by it all. Looking to Cecilia as he hears her words about going first, worry was the first thing on his mind. But seeing her being brave about this would soon put his mind back in order as he speaks out. "You can do this Cecilia."

Smiling at first when he sees her climbing, but soon lossing his smile as she gets slower and eventually stops. Gasping softly as he sees her fall and slam against the wall due to the harness. Taking a step forward without relizing it as he keeps watching. He was worried she was hurt and it showed rather clearly. Neric on his feet and watching, but seeing her not making it all the way would have the two look to eachother. James's eyes narrowing as he speaks. "I know we were told to not use our powers for this... but really I don't care, she's hurt. What do you say?"

The Void looking at him before looking to Cecilia up on the ridge, his eyes narrowing before he looks back to James and nods. Collapsing into his cloud form and flowing for James, completely covering him. Though his features stay the same, the shadow around him would show claws on his hands and his eyes are now the same as the Voids. Red and dark looking. Looking at the wall and walking towards it and stopping several feet away. Growling softly as he lunges, jumping for the wall and clinging rather well. Soon climbing up rather quickly, not even needing the hand grips as the shadowed hands clung to the wall with ease.

Soon reaching Cecilia's point and hoping over the ledge, shaking his head as he looks to the girl. His darker form disappearing soon after to show the boy and his Void shifting back into the cat. The cat running for her and James making his way to help her the rest of the distance. Unhooking her and helping her away from the ledge if she'll allow it before speaking. "I think that's enough climbing for today... is it painful? Where did you get hit?"

@Framing A Moose not sure how to respond to Cloak's solution. One one hand it's brilliant smile. She had no plans on climbing the wall. She knew how her brother would react. Not to mention that her focus sucked. "YOU CAN GO ON WITHOUT ME." she assured the other girl just before her a butterfly landed on her nose. The butterfly was very different from any of the others that she had seen. It was almost memorizing. She followed the butterfly to the wall. She was used to things that interest getting away from her. She had no intention of following it. There was no point. It was hard for her to look away from the butterfly. "I CAN'T GO UP THERE. IT'S TOO HIGH. I DON'T KNOW HOW."

Prior to James' and Neric's intervention, the only real option available to Cecilia would have been to give up and be lowered down, likely after her grip gives out and she lets the safety line catch her again. As it happened, she was rather oblivious to Neric's envelopment of James and their seemingly effortless scale of the wall to her aid. Her hand was just moments away from letting go. She felt lightheaded, which wasn't surprising given her overexertion, but she snapped out of it when she felt someone lift her by the arm and help her up the rest of the way. "Uh... James?" she seemed quite surprised to see him for a split second, then sort of shyly looked away as she wordlessly let him take her away from the edge. It was only natural that she'd be very embarrassed by this point, not even having the coordination to stand on her own for the time being, electing to sit for a time. "Well, that was a disaster..." Cecilia said, smirking a little at the understatement, still in the process of catching her breath. "It isn't too serious. I just got hit in the back," she continued, her right hand reaching around to her left shoulder blade, causing her to flinch at the painful localized surge.

Ivy glanced away from the butterfly. She saw a boy approaching them. "HELLO! MY NAME IS IVY! WELCOME TO CAMP! she bounced around the new arrival eagerly. She loved meeting people almost as much as she did following people. 'THIS IS MY FRIEND CLOAK! SHE HAS A WEIRD NAME! SHE'S NEW TOO!
WE ARE ROCK CLIMBING! MY BROTHER IS ON THE THIRD TIER! I CONTROL FIRE! WHAT DO YOU DO?"
She asked before bouncing to the wall. She wanted to see if the butterfly was still there. She was surprised when it still was. She beamed and put her foot on the wall.

Sitting down with her as Neric walks around the two of them, but his eyes mostly on cecilia. James looking over the shoulder blade if she would let him. In her eyes he may seem a bit too worried over it all, but regardless he wanted to make sure it wasn't anything too bad or broken even. Sighing softly and smiling as he looks at her after. "Well as far as I can see it's fine... we can take a break here, I think we've done enough climbing for today don't you think?" Chuckling softly as he takes her hand gently and tenderly, the Void walking around the other campers after knowing she was fine. Him wanting to check how many more levels, but can look like anything to the two of them. James crossing his legs to get more comfortable, but she can tell he is still worried but not wanting to fuss over it anymore to make it uncomfortable for her.

As Lin lay there on the third tier's landing, panting for breath, she heard Ivy's excited voice floating up to her. Another new person? Holy crap, this camp really needed to hire some greeters. Lin smiled at the thought of the dragon twin counselors and Ivy becoming Wal-Mart greeters with customers shying away from them.

She groaned as she rolled herself over from her back to her stomach. Lactic acid was busy coursing through her muscles right now, making her legs and arms feel like jelly; though her arms felt less exhausted for some reason. She propped herself up on her elbows as she viewed the scene below her unfolding. As Cloak reached toward Ivy, something golden flashed between them and Lin blinked. Nah, it's nothing. Probably just one of Ivy's sparks, she thought. Still, Ivy was spending an awfully inordinate amount of focus on a particularly shiny butterfly. Ivy even went so far as to follow it all the way to the base of the wall, staring up at it with a focus and intensity that made Lin think there was hope for Ivy yet. You couldn't control fire, but you could help it along with a gentle breeze and watch it blossom into a roaring inferno. It wasn't so much making sure Ivy didn't destroy anything. Instead it should be more about cleaning up the mess she left behind. Lin smiled down at the red-haired girl and waved lazily.

Lin slowly got to her feet after another minute of spectating, and shakily turned around to face stage four. Somewhere beside her, she felt rather than saw that Kyle had just finished stage three as well. Only looking five to ten degrees away from the rock wall toward him, her eyes never leaving the purely rocky surface, she said, "You were right about one thing, Kyle. It is a chore trying to corral Ivy. Has she ever...you know....actually exploded somewhere before? If she hasn't, in a safe environment, I almost think it might be good for her. What do you say sometime later, we - not that it's any of my business - make a plan to uhh....oh I don't know, help her blow off some steam? If she uses her power enough, perhaps she won't have as much energy? I'll shut up about it if you want me to, but I genuinely want to see her succeed just like you do and am willing to try anything. I do definitely think taking care of her is more than a one person job though."

Without turning her face to him, she scooted over a couple feet away from where he had come up, and started up the fourth tier's wall. Progress was extremely slow going. Even a short rest had not been able to replenish her energy that much and her arms shook with the effort. Another alarming observation was that she had stopped sweating, meaning her body was out, or nearly so, of spare water. Dehydration was a dangerous thing. Lin needed to finish this task soon. She had pulled herself up about a third of the way and had one foot firmly wedged into the stone surface. Her right foot felt like it had been stuck ankle deep in mud as she lifted it up to a higher foothold. As she reached up with her right hand to grab a handhold, she had a flash of danger sense and instantly changed her handhold to one an inch to the right of that. When she pulled herself upward, straightening her right leg as she did so, her left foot had just found a new ledge for purchase when suddenly the rock gave out beneath her right foot and made her lose both footholds so that she dangled precariously by her one right hand. The unmanned belay tether below shook the line as it tried to keep her suspended. What Lin did not know was that at the very bottom, her cable was quite frayed. Thin black strands peeling off in rapid succession as it tried to support the one hundred and thirty pound big-boned girl it now supported.

Suddenly, the cable snapped and poor Lin Yang was left in midair with no hand or foot holds about three inches from the wall. She flailed desperately, managing to latch on to a handhold about five feet below where she had previously been. Her body swung back into the wall, making her bonk her forehead and wish she had worn that helmet. The very real danger of plummeting to her death made her look down, and now she wished she hadn't. She was just a little less than a third of the way up the wall and the ground looked very, very far below now. Lin got her other hand up to grip the handhold that her left one held in a vise-like finger death grip. "Umm guys!" She called. "Anybody have a levitation power?" What her brain had intended as a chuckle came out as a sort of breathy hitch. Her eyes went and stayed wide, but no other sounds or signs of fear emanated from the rangy seventeen-year-old.

It wasn't Cecilia's proudest step into the limelight. She did however, recognize that even if she did complete stage three by herself, she'd be just as tired and battered as she is now. Yet at the same time, she had a feeling that it would have been easier to deal with had she prevailed under her own strength. She smiled faintly at a kind of inside joke that neither James nor Neric might understand. The first day felt like quite some time ago, and yet she couldn't shake the notion that she still had a lot to prove. She chuckled alongside James, his infectious laughter cheering her up. After an embarrassing showing like, she appreciated his care and concern, even if a part of her would have liked to have been left alone. Her hand was trembling and quite dirty with the climb involving as much natural elements as it did. She wasn't expecting James to take it like this, but smiled bashfully when he did. "I could use a break, but I don't feel right just quitting here. Maybe you can go ahead and cli-wait! James look!" she simply glimpsed at the wall to notice Lin's predicament, her mind racing once again as she pointed hurriedly to her. "James! Neric! Isn't there something that you can do!?" Cecilia didn't enjoy having to admit to herself that she was effectively powerless to help, but knew that her friends weren't, focusing on that for the time being.

Kyle shook his head. He had no idea what the girl had done to his sister. But he didn't like it. He could tell Ivy wasn't herself since she rarely stayed still the way after the girl put the helmet on her. All he knew was that someone was messing with his sister. Since it was his job to protect her he would have to go done and find out what was going on. He ignored Lin who had started climbing without even checking on Ivy. He would deal with Lin later his sister had to come first.

"Where are you going Kyle?" the female counselor asked as he headed to the ledge. He almost ignored her but he had been raised to respect authority.

"My sister is at the bottom. There is something wrong with her. I need to go check on her."
He explained. He barely kept himself from climbing down the wall. He should have never left Ivy alone. It was amazing that she hadn't started the forest on fire. As if reading his mind smoke started rise from his still sister's shoulders. He needed to get down there.

James would sit there with Cecilia, not noting if she wanted to be alone or not. Sighing softly as he looked around, everyone else was either enjoying themselves or having the same amount of trouble as he and Cecilia were. Neric coming back as he rubs up against the girl, which got a chuckle out of James and a smile. Neric was always someone that can help cheer up the mood. Looking to Cecilia as she started to talk, but then her sudden change of tone and topic got his attention. Looking to the wall with Neric as they could see Lin having trouble up there. Looking to Neric as he quickly stands up with a few words. "Got to go Cecilia!" Him looking at Neric as they rushed towards the wall with all due haste.

@Mistiel

Huffing a bit as he looks to Neric, the cat losing his form to take to the cloud again. Flowing around James as the boy grins, they've done this before and Neric could get a good distance out of it in a very, very short amount of time. Like with that one burglar that tried running when he broke into some family's house while they were all gone. His hand held out as the Void flows around it, jumping forward with a few words. "Divided!"

"Yet never apart!" The Void would echo as James turns in a single circle like an athlete would do when tossing a disk into the open field. Yet Neric was much lighter then a disk, tossing Neric towards the wall as the Void literally books it from his hand towards the wall. Moving much quicker then in his cloud form before slamming against the wall next to Lin, the cloud pancaking against the wall. Though noting that Lin may let go out of surprise, the Void would quickly form part of himself around her to avoid that kind of incident. Her feeling the Void's gritty feeling of a hand around her before his head forms. The same crocodile look before from the cabins as he chuckles. "Don't worry little one, I won't let you go. Now... would you like to go up or down?" Asking what she would prefer, taking her words and taking her where she pleased. Be it back to the ground or up to the top. But as he said, his grip was certain that he isn't going to let her go till she is safely back on her feet. Though he is not keeping her in a death grip by any means.

They hadn't noticed the energetic redhead had wondered off. And that was a problem. It was dangerous to have the teens wondering the woods. She would have to speak to her brother about this. She didn't want to the teens hurt because they didn't have enough people. They would have to do something about Ivy. But for now it would have to wait.

You should put on the safety gear and climb up. We will show you to your cabin once the activity is done." the counselor ecplained. She would climb die if she had to but she would prefer to stay where she was.
