Something I think I should check for opinions... how much freedom do you guys want with how we start? I was originally planning to start at the Valens manor and gladiator school training grounds, with Loreia awaiting the people interested in joining her team. It would probably take a little while, with all the people we have, but would let you do your intro however you want up to arriving at her family manor, and get some socialization in with others before we actually enter the arena.

Conversely, the other place we could start is after that happens, with the group just on their way to the arena to be thrown into their first match, with no time to prepare. Gets us into action quicker, but leaves barely any time for even getting introduced to anyone.

Personally I'm leaning towards the former, but if people are feeling strongly a different way, I can work with it. Still not sure how busy I'll be tonight when I get back, but it'll be started by some point tomorrow at the latest.

@Estella I like the former, too - though I'm interpreting it as a 'arrive one-by-one' kinda thing. It'd be interesting to see how they all meet - especially Dagor and Kronak.

And because of that I'd lean more towards the first option as well. With my character at least it's important he gets some interaction with everybody before they fight together or he might 'accidentally' shoot some of the mages in the back.

Think it's safe to say we're going for the first option, then. Sounds good.

I'm okay with either option, but I've found that RPs tend to survive the first post exodus the less time we initially spend on raw exposition. Up to everyone though, with such a large and enthusiastic group I don't think there will be much issue.

And yeah, that was my thought about the opening. There should be interesting stuff going on just putting these characters together, and those not being introduced to Loreia at a given moment will have plenty of space to meet each other and possibly warm up for the fight they'll be departing for soon.

And if we get impatient we can always skip ahead a bit with some deft narration. Should be fine.

Just wanted to go on record saying I think this is going to be a really good group. 8 Pages of OOC before the IC starts is a good sign. I'm pumped.

I don't think he's volunteering... though, not many people got to choose when they were being sacrificed.
