Ekibe has been revised. Cards completely removed, cloning magic introduced, illusions upgraded, physical strength upgraded (no longer a glass cannon; not as strong as others but packs a punch!), Joyeuse removed, slight description addition to dance magic (though is still useless), gateway now penetrable from the outside, slight backstory change to fit with the current powers, added strength and weakness, no more mutation pieace and some other revision. If there's anything else just lemme know @Demon Shinobi! :D

@Delta44

I like this new version of her, she seems more balanced and much more in line with her role.

(that and the fact that illusions don't affect reality, therefore Runes are the perfect counter as they won't be affected by things that don't exist in the world)

Though one question, if one clone becomes damaged/killed/ does the damage transfer back to the producer of the clone, but at a reduced amount.

IE if a clone was completely obliterated, she would take a 1/10th of the damage. etc

@1Charak2 I was considering that in her conception, however since I wasn't really going for a super strength-based character I decided to leave physical injuries such as those to be completely independent of Ekibe herself, since she'd be wrecked otherwise XD On the other hand the clones will act completely independent of Ekibe, save for what she tells them to do through her weird telepathic link with them, or whatever Tsumiki orders, though Tsumiki is the only one they'll really listen to no matter what. This makes cooperation among the clones practically non-existent, since they can all make their own movements and need to judge what to do and when to do it on their own, unless there is direct orders given by Ekibe c: Naturally since this is hard as all Hell to do, she generally won't be doing that unless she knows her clones can take an opponent without her or if she's aware the risk to herself is minimal :3

The real catch is that while she cannot receive physical harm, her mind is many times more susceptible to attack, say if some kind of horrifying illusion is placed upon all the clones :D So the game isn't so much how hard you can hit, but how much damage you can inflict to her mentally ^-^

TL;DR: Her body isn't linked, but her mind is.

Edit: Clones do take a fuckload of energy to create and maintain, though, so she can't really use them as meatshields even if she has quite the magic reserve :D

@Delta44

If it comes down to mental infliction, does that mean she still feels the pain (IE, if a clone was under immense pain. Would the collective consiousness feel the pain, (sort of an empathatic link) damage is not shared as you've said but is pain?

@1Charak2 Honestly not sure about pain, since it's part of the nervous system, but I don't know as to the extent of how much a clone is cloned and how strong the link is :O Since pain is linked to so many different aspects of the brain we can be pretty confident that it will be transmitted, however with enough training I suppose it would be possible to block the transmission or detection of pain from clones :D A goal to work towards, I suppose!

The link has to be strong enough to enable telepathy, so the link would likely be pretty strong. The training wouldn't likely be towards 'blocking' (as that will probably hamper the effectiveness of the link) but enduring the pain, Shaolin monk style.

Boosting Endurance is perfect training for a Rook. In my opinion.

@1Charak2 True c: Maybe it could go hand-in-hand with her focus strength/weakness: she may get so wrapped up in the battle as to not feel the pain, at least not till something exceptionally painful occurs or the adrenaline wears off :3

(Or all clones get arc lightning via an electrical current produced by water and electricity having a lovely relationship...)

I guess so, it actually fits the battle engrossment. However pain can also be an effective mental attack...

Torture works for a reason.

@1Charak2 Which is why she'll need to train how to endure pain :3 So to summarize, yes, pain will be an effective method of hurting Ekibe :D

Now the question is, how many people noticed the etchings in the walls and stuff, I mean considering the number someone must of noticed at least one in the peerage. Probably shrugged it off.

it makes for a lovely little mystery of who keeps writing them.

EDIT:

Also when Alistair eventually joints the peerage, he'll be at his most effective when paired with another bishop/rook/horse.

First things first. I'm going to read over the IC one more time and then write a quick post.
I'm prioritizing this because @Guess Who can't post until I do and I need to move things along as the GM and make sure you all know I'm still here.

THEN! I'm going to go over these two characters, whom I've heard and read good things about thus far.
Sorry for the delays. And thank you for putting up with this unreliable King.

It's no problem. I know full well how busy life can get. I myself have been dealing with work, finals, and the stress of moving recently. Take however much time you need.

Thank you for the reassurance. Still, best not to doddle. I'm finishing up some papers for the end of my semester, and recently began apartment hunting. So I feel you. Off from work til the 30th though since my work is at my school and that is when the summer session begins. lol

@Delta44 I like the character, the abilities are basically all fine. The history is good. However, I just want to be clear. You do know that as a rook her body is pretty strong. Like just being reincarnated into the rook of our peerage she would have superhuman strength, and because of that her body could take a hit. Again, this is just to be sure.

Just talking about this, you answering, I can probably accept you, cause I'm not really looking to deny her. Just need to make sure. I mean you are basically accepted and you can move her over to the Character Tab, but still answer the question lol

@pkkenI like him. I'm gonna accept him. Already got some ideas on how we could get him in and how to train him. Soooo yeah. You're good.

@Demon Shinobi Of course! ^-^ It's just other rooks will likely be stronger, in terms of raw physical strength :D her illusions and cloning should compensate for that ;)
