Was thinking of doing a supervillain OC.

Also, sorry for the late response. I was out of state.

By the way, since it's been a week from the start date with no word AFAIK, do we assume our Red Robin/Tim Drake player is MIA?

Cool. Would it be too much to ask to introduce another PI into the mix since there's already one? If not I've another character in mind.

Name: Doctor Raymond Howard // Age: 29
Alias: The Cleanfreak (Formerly Mr. Clean)

Appearance:
If a child encountered Raymond out of costume, he'd likely rationalize that Raymond is a leprechaun vampire. He's a short snaggletooth with skin bleached white and dreadlocks stained crimson. Five foot two, with a telescoping waistline, marshmallow white irises and ivory fingernails. He sounds like he's got clipped vocal chords and/or throat cancer. When he's presenting himself as The Cleanfreak, he wears sterile white fatigues with a set of back-mounted canisters, filled with various chemicals, connected to a pair of pressure hoses on his hips.

Skills/Abilities:
He's not strong, but he's very fast--fast like a psychotic weasel on meth. He's finnicky, not objectively the smartest, but he's full of surprises. He has years of experience as a janitor, decades as a playwrite, a lifetime as a JSA fan, and several months as an OCD wrangler. He has a Doctorate in Genetics.

Biography:
Unfortunately, Raymond Howard lived a nerdish life, in Gotham, where he was harassed by his peers and generally hated by nearly everyone he knew. He wanted to grow up to be a geneticist so that he could give himself superpowers and fight crime. He imagined some heroes got their abilities through science. Unfortunately, he knew his parents could never scrounge up the money to put him through college, so he started work as a janitor when he was fourteen, around the Renaissance of superheroics, to save for his future.

Unfortunately, he was peer pressured into smoking some mysterious drug when he was in college, that caused him severe general anxiety. He dealt with this for years, training to build his muscles to a point comparable to the unfriendly neighborhood Batman. In what he considered a personal triumph, he channeled his angst to a specific stressor, angst at the unclean. This made him a much more effective janitor.

Unfortunately, when he had finally gotten his degree, he found himself kidnapped by The Joker, who had designs for Dr. Howard's specialization. So he drove the good doctor insane and performed a bizarre series of "medical" procedures on him, including bleaching his skin. He was rescued by the Batman after supplying the Joker with the designs for several different monsters, none of which have presented themselves.

"Unfortunately" The Joker is dead. The Batman is absent. As a changed man, Doctor Raymond Howard has recently dedicated himself to cleansing Gotham City of it's filth--and then the world!

Well. He'd probably need some kind of scholarship/grant ON TOP of being a janitor to save for school. But I'm not seeing any other huge issues, unless someone else does.

So, can we say he got a grant from Lex Luthor and call it a done sheet?

Personally, I think the sheet needs a lot of reworking to be sensible. But I don’t want to block anyone from the game – my opinion isn’t really relevant.

It's really thin and whimsical on purpose, but what do you think is nonsensical, specifically? If I actually skipped a beat so far as basic logic goes, I wouldn't mind realizing it now rather than later.

Well, if you want to the issues that I see, I would say the child employment thing would be the first one. But if it were just that I would probably shrug and move on, so the concepts that tick the big ‘x’ in my box would range from the idea that a janitorial wage will pay for the kind of financial investment for his education and the metaknowledge that The Flash and Doctor Mid-Nite got their powers through science as I would image neither have wrote tell-all books about their life story.

Is it the kind of issues that affect IC action?

The metaknowledge might, but really I doubt we’d see it come up in-game. So no, probably not.
