Anyone has the possibility of stabilising somebody on a successful WIS(Medicine) check, or at least that's how I've understood it. Given how I am upholding the initiative count for now, you would need to wait for your turn, but if she is not stable by then, you can go right ahead.

Your intuition would be correct on that one.

Next question is, are you going to chase the others or let them be? I should probably break the initiative order in any case... yeah, order is free! Anyone who wants to chase will probably draw the other in anyhow. *Dusts off DMG chase rules, just in case*

Kyra would suggest going back. Taking a bit of Parum's advice, she'll settle for the captured prisoner for now, even though she really wants to save the mill and chase down the rest of the bandits. If she had any spells left she would try to fight the fire but I think this has gone long enough.

Also @Hekazu, will we be the ones doing any interrogation? Obviously, I'd like the help of anyone capable of the speech skills, though I'll likely go the intimidation route.

Anyhow, I was talking about some mechanics and remembered that we once came to a conclusion about Inspiration in this game, which eventually came to not implementing them in any shape or form. However, I can see the merit in them and I should reward people for playing their characters well, but since I myself am horrible at giving it out (had to stop it in irl games too), I propose we let you, the players hand it out. Of course I will still need to approve any proposals so it won't just end up being "we need an advantage on this roll" button, but since my biggest problem is forgetting them, if you bring them to my attention I should be able to implement the mechanic nicely. Thoughts?

We'll see to that once the prisoner awakens, but I'm leaning towards your characters at least being present during the interrogation. Aren't you at least a bit curious?

The mill is actually not on fire, to which @Hekazu confirmed for me, as otherwise @Gordian Nought could have used Torus' Shape Water to put out the flames. So the mill is actually safe, at least for the moment. I am worried if we leave they will just come back and finish the job. As for the prisoner, Brannor can attempt to intimidate her and or try to persuade her, but that I might note will take some effort to convince him of.

As I see it, it could be left initially to a random roll who receives Inspiration. From there, a player can grant it to another if they think that they performed well at a character quality, interaction, instance or event. Yes, it might be "We need advantage on this check." but if you earned it earlier from someone else thinking you played something out well, why shouldn't there be a reward to it?

The only issue I note is once spent, how does one regain it? Just the way a Dungeon Master would give it out again if they saw something they approved of, but only now the players can to?

I think it can go without saying however, that it shouldn't constantly be rewarded. I can only think of three scenarios at the moment where it could have been.

Ah, the mill is safe then. Still, Kyra would want to get out of here as soon as possible. I'll have her present for the interrogation of course, I just need some getting information out of her. I'll be posting soon. WOuld it okay to say we get back to the fort without a hitch @Hekazu?

To @The Harbinger of Ferocity's and @Hekazu's mentions, I feel we should limit, but I do endorse the candor of relinquishing the inspiration to the players as long as you retained veto power, to dissuade abuse, of course.

Knowing how conservative this group is with almost anything @Gordian Nought, I am more worried people might not feel comfortable handing it out at all. It should be in pretty clear cases an aspect of reward, as with the dragon conflict or whoever manages to, successfully and in-character, convince the captive to spill the information with say, minimal reliance on the dice. Aspects such as those I feel are well deserved.

Also, it's my own head canon that when Orchid does intimidation checks, he can actually speak clear, legible common. It'll make the contrast between his broken and dimwitted speech pattern to his sophisticated and visceral tone of voice even more frightening

The raiders are more than likely going to be on alert, given what just passed. I'll roll stealth for you all to see if something happens.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnndddddd something does. I'm going to need everyone's initiatives. A group of three people notices you as you are about to enter the tunnel back into the keep. It seems they were scouting around the walls and happened to encounter you at a difficult moment. To your luck, none of them seem to have ranged weapons and one of them is unarmoured. Neither side is surprised. Who is carrying your prisoner?

These bowmen securing the walls of the keep seemed to have failed us, that or these enemies are extremely lucky. In either case, I say to arms and that we cut these fools down.
