@Mega Birb@Lucius Cypher In this case, I'd have to vote in Grafdakka's favor. Because Torag's plan revolves around Grafdakka's weapon being able to be taken on his pauldron, when Grafdakka's chainsaw death shred weapon is probably larger than Torag's entire body, or close enough.

It would be like saying you're going to deflect that incoming semi-trailer with your pauldron. Also, Machina vs Angel when this seems to be a sheer power contest. It's also offense vs defense, where offense usually seems to win in this thread. Even before Torag launches his attack we have one of the following:

A. Torag's Armor is stronger than Grafdakka's attack.. Torag still gets pushed back and can't execute his strike.
B. Torag's Armor is stronger than Grafdakka's attack and he can't be moved.. Grafdakka's splats like a banana thrust into Torag's Armor, which is not a relative power level I'd be too happy about seeing.
C. Grafdakka's attack is stronger than Torag's Armor.. Torag gets torn up a bit and thrown back because he got cocky.
D. Grafdakka's attack is stronger than Torag's Armor and he can't be moved.. Torag gets blenderized. I'm not sure we want to go this far, but if I understand the situation correctly, I think it's what should happen.

I mean, this seems like a straight up contest between "Angel Armor whose special power is self repair" and "Machina Attack whose special power is space tearing god killer charge up attack that has been fully charged".

Torag's probably gonna lose this fight unless he can get Endian out of Graf's body, which won't happen unless he dismembers all the limbs. I'd vote for A to establish that Torag's armor is badass and that he can be moved if he's in the air, though, and for a good fight. Also let me edit that in real quick, so that arm can actually be struck at.

And I wouldn't say cocky, no one really knows how much punishment that armor can take, and Torag's the closest thing we have to Lawful Good outside Hibiki and Shizuka. He humble.

@Mega Birb But here's the problem with A. That's Graf's strongest attack. If that dings off of you, what now? Grafdakka can flail around, but he can't hurt you. It's like if a stuck tank's main armor piercing round bounced off you for no damage, what's the tank gonna do next? Pepper you with the machine guns?

The last time that happened, in order to stay relevant, Graf had to retroactively say "er, but wait, that attack wasn't the FULLY charged version!"

Yeah...no. Ananta wouldn't try stopping Grafdakka without a post or two of prepped defenses to have a chance at countering a drill that pierces the fabric of reality. No, she has a far simpler idea to save Torag.

Grafdakka's attack is more or less Gae Bolg in giant drill form, but instead of piercing one's heart, it alters reality to mulching anyone struck.

The issue isn't really "Could Grafdakka survive Torag's attack" because frankly, he probably wouldn't. At the very least Grafdakka would survive, but he wouldn't be able to shrug it off. The real question is "Can Torag face-tank Grafdakka's attack" because as mentioned, it's not just sheer ripping power it's channeling, but altering fact and reality to ensure that anyone caught at the business end of the drill is mulched to death. Even should Torag's armor survive, there's still the possibility that Grafdakka rips apart the spiritual being inhabiting it due to the aberrant nature of his attack once fully charged.

Also Grafdakka's development as a mech is a fairly recent thing. So far in all past battles, Grafdakka has never been piloted before, and has simply been a giant robot warrior. This would be the first time the body of Grafdakka is being piloted, so even if the mech itself is severly damaged, so long as the entire thing isn't obliterated Endian could still slip out and continue the fight (Or repair Grafdakka so she could use him again). So I'm not too worried about Grafdakka getting severely damaged or destroyed, beyond what Endian inside might have to do. She hasn't installed an eject switch yet, so should Grafdakka be rendered unable to fight she'll just have to cut her way out.

I'm feeling much better. Sorry everyone if I held anyone up. I'm pretty much over my cold. I'm gonna read up and see if I missed anything. If anyone wants to brush me up on zak/beast I'm cool with that.

Hmm, there's the fact that Eos is buffing all the Machina, making their efficiency even higher than usual. At this point, Graf's attack should be even more powerful than it could ever be, like it has been noted IC.

Yeah Torag's screwed.
