Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Coventry
Interacting With: Fairfax @Morose

Eudora was still deep in thought as Fairfax mumbled on, her fingers already have grazed every splinter and groove but still, she searched for a sign. "A fire?" Eudora cooed curiously while she peered at the firm wooden doors, "You'll have to tell me more about it sometime." She reached out a hand and toyed with the knob and opened it only slightly, the fear of suddenly being sucked in still leeched at her mind.

Eudora turned to Fairfax, waiting for an answer to her possible suicide mission request.

"I thought you'd never ask, miss."

Eudora was silent for a bit, jaw loose and threatening to hang open. It's not that Eudora expected him to, for lack of a better term, chicken out. But accepting so readily and with such enthusiasm? Eudora couldn't help but feel a little surprised. "You've got guts, I like it! Now come on" Eudora said as she took a hold of Fairfax's arm, (gently) yanking him towards the cupboard, "We've got a prophet to save."

Letting go of his arm, Eudora snapped open the door with a flick of her wrist and without thinking jumped in. Now would be a bad time for Fairfax to chicken out.

December 28th, 2016 - Coventry Horrors, Fifth Floor

Aloise embraced Emmie, rubbing the girl's back as she cried. She knew what it was like to lose someone and it was a feeling she wouldn't wish on anyone. The feeling drove people to do awful things, terrible things like making demon deals or even just killing themselves out of guilt. She bit her lip slightly at Emmie's question, honestly having no answer. It was intentional, she knew that much. Personal, perhaps? But she doubted it. It didn't look like an emotionally fueled crime, especially not with the note.

"Because they were afraid of her," Aloise finally replied, rubbing Emmie's back. "Because she was a good person, and it scared them." But really, Aloise knew that giving a definitive reason may not even help Emmie. Sometimes it was better not to know, in order to avoid spiraling down into revenge filled fantasies. "But we're tough, you and I, and we're gonna hurt them back. Hurt them worse. We're gonna get justice for her, I promise you, and you'll see her on the other side one day...hopefully not one day too soon."

December 28th, 1929 - Coventry Horrors, Attic

The wardrobe, unfortunately so, isn't nearly so simple. While it would be nice for it to simply go between two times in the same place, it is considerably more finicky than that, or at least, so it seems. Why, even Folly, the most avid user of that little marvel, could not really predict where she was going to end up--and sometimes, not even when. Such is the luck of the draw when it comes to enchanted objects of uncertain origin. And so, when Fairfax and Eudora tumbled through the wardrobe in a hotel in 1929, they turned up...

December 28th, 2016 - Cirque Anomaly, Storage Tent

...in a circus tent in 2016. Eudora and Fairfax will stumble to their feet and find themselves in the storage tent, of sorts. Dust covers most of the objects, and as the pair of them look around, it will be clear why. These props and costumes are all out of use, belonging to performers who left the circus, either by choice or by death. Photographs are tapped to the walls of the tent, listing the cause of their departure, with a brief biography.

"Good heavens!" Fairfax whispers, the first of such photographs catching his eye. "Why, is that not Amiyra's mother?" He pointed at a photograph labeled Fiodora Valeska, with a description of her time with the circus as a contortionist, ending with her murder. Various objects of hers are kept near the photograph. Perhaps a cemetery would be a better word than a storage tent.

This is where the circus members are remembered after they die.

December 28th, 2016 - Cirque Anomaly, the Grounds

Strong looks a bit dumbfounded when Lilith mentions a wardrobe. "Like...a closet? Is she gay?" Strong asks, entirely sincerely, without a clue as to what Lilith was talking about. He couldn't think of a single place in the circus that would have a proper wardrobe, beyond the tents of the first strings. Some of them had nicer bits of furniture, but a wardrobe was a waste of space. Everyone tended to use trunks--easier to transport, doubled as seats.

"Maybe she....I've got nothing," he sighed. Thalia, however, had been in the circus for a while and close to the girl. She likely saw Folly run into town and not be seen for the rest of the day. If she strains her memory enough, she'll remember Folly mention in passing how funny she found Andromeda Aldrich's museum to be.

December 28th, 2016 - Location Unknown

Liam's words do not seem to inspire any feelings of calm in the hooded figure. She continues to writhe, scream, and shriek at the top of her lungs. If her face were not concealed, perhaps beads of sweat would be seen gliding down. Or perhaps there is no face under that cloak at all. It is not immediately clear. However, as he pulls at the chains, he will realize that they are made of iron. Nothing in the room will immediately strike him as a key or useful to open them, with the heaviest object being a stapler. He'll need to get creative with that to break the chains, but it's possible.

Luckily, the salt circle seems to be in tact. But with the hooded figure's cries, Liam cannot hear the door to the room open, though he will notice light spill in. A tall, nerdy looking figure gives him a jolly wave, smiling behind thick rimmed glasses. "Fascinating," he says. "This is going even better than expected--she'll be quite pleased." Taking off his glasses and cleaning them on his shirt, he then smiles at Liam, his eyes turning black for a brief moment. "A kumakatok, a prophet, and let's not forget the mullo!" he chuckles a bit, before walking over towards Liam.

"I know all about you, but damnit, I can't remember if we've met properly before," he continues, smiling at Liam with a little shake of his head. "Left the archangel at home, did we?"

Emmie Adams

Location: Fifth Floor Andromeda's Room
Interacting With: @Morose Aloise Zamora.

Emmie was still shaking ever so slightly biting her lower lip, something she truly hated was being alone or going back into an orphanage again. "Sera didn't deserve that at all.." Emmie said letting out a shaky sigh trying her best to just try and calm herself down which didn't really help at all. She listened to Aloise as she explained, though it wasn't a good explanation in her own mind but it made her feel slightly better. Emmie slowly pulled away from the hug and rested her back up against the wall looking at the creepy pictures for a moment eventually then up at the ceiling. She wanted to know who killed Seraphina and avenge her in some way, she turned to look at Aloise for a moment.

She would see Sera and her parents again someday, Emmie wanted to help out and finish what Sera had started with the investigation though she didn't know what to do now. "What do I do now?" Emmie asked. "I don't want to go back to an orphanage or living on the streets again, I just cant go through all of that again." Emmie slowly stood up, she didn't want to go back into Andromeda's room where Sera's body was. "Can you go in there, and get some of Sera's stuff?" Emmie asked Aloise softly. "I cant go in there and see her like that.."

Liam Matthews

Location: ???
Interacting With: The Cloaked Figure, The Nerd @Morose

Grumbling to himself as he realised the chains were made of iron, Liam hurriedly began to search around the room for anything good. Finding nothing but the stapler, he swore to himself, but picked it up anyway, keeping his gun in one hand as he brought it back over to the chains. Looking over them for a moment, he tried his best to ignore the screaming of the woman as he tried to momentarily find the weakest area of the chain, carefully jamming the lower half of the stapler in between the chain as he sighed, shaking his head as he looked up for a moment. "I swear, if you let this work, I'll give up booze for lent." He grumbled as he raised his free hand, when he saw the light spread into the room, freezing as he heard the voice to follow.

Turning, he aimed his gun in the direction of the figure, raising an eyebrow as he watched him, trying to rack his mind as to who it was. He kept his raised eyebrow as he listened to the man speak, seeing his eyes go black as he clearly tried to run through his mind exactly what he might have been, he swore he'd perhaps heard 'Mullo' before, but at that moment he couldn't quite recall, he just kept thinking as he kept the chain, jammed with a stapler still hidden behind him. "Uh, yeah, I forgot to bring them along for the whole 'accidently getting thrown through portals thing, so if you can just point me to a way out that'd be great."

As he spoke, he kept his gun pointed toward the chest of the man, not sure how much good it'd do as he reached back with his free hand, trying to apply as much pressure to the stapler as possible, essentially hoping for a miracle at that point as he hoped to snap the chain in some properly macgyver-esque manner.

Thalia Maehers

Location: Cirque Anomaly
Interacting With: Lilith @FantasyChic

Thalia listened to Lilith, talking about Folly and some sort of wardrobe, it made Thalia think about her time spent with Folly. She had hung around the girl more than most other members of the circus, so she started to think about what she had mentioned before. The girl always ran off somewhere, and Thalia always wondered where she had gone. She had gotten used to the it though, so eventually she never really noticed it anymore. Thalia looked at Strong, who clearly had no idea what the heck was going on, and Thalia figured that if Lilith was looking for Folly, Strong was better off not knowing.

Thalia thought for a moment and looked over at Lilith. "Well, Folly never really mentioned a wardrobe of any kind, but she always went into town a lot. Come to think of it, she did mention Andromeda Aldrich's museum, and how she found it interesting or something like that. Maybe something there or elsewhere in town is what she was talking about," she said, and wondering if Folly was ok. The kid had definitely put her foot in something big, and it worried her.

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: The Circus Tent
Interacting With: Fairfax @Morose

"Nothing is ever easy, is it?" Eudora muttered with a smidge of too much agitation as she got up and brushed off the dust that hung around the hem of her skirt. She looked around the tent, calling out for Liam as she did. She paused every so often, straining to hear a reply, but so far, nothing. And as she tried to not choke on the thick air, Eudora just hoped Liam didn't somehow get transported into some hellish dimension for all eternity. But now that she thought about it, she started to feel unsure why exactly she cared for this near random person so much. Auras she guessed in her head. Of course, there always was the possibility that she cared too much, or maybe she saw potential in Liam or a seemingly infinite number of maybes. Eudora shrugged off the many questions and turned back to Fairfax who was now gazing mystified at the photos.

"Why, is that not Amiyra's mother?"

Eudora skirted closer to Fairfax, peering at the photo over his shoulder. "I'll assume you haven't visited the future before. But have you visited this tent before? Because it'd be really handy if you knew a way out."

Eudora drifted her gaze back to the object that lay at the woman’s picture, studying them and trying to figure out what connection they had to her. Perhaps it’d be another clue! Her eyes slowly followed the trail of pictures and items, searching for anything that stood out.

She had to hold in a long sigh as Strong tried to work out what she meant. The lovable oaf meant well, but damn if he wasn't the sharpest tool in the toolbox. Thalia, however, seemed much more helpful, especially when she brought up someone named Andromeda. This person (was it a woman? Who named their kid Andromeda?) that she mentioned may be who they needed to talk to. If anything, it was a step in the right direction.

"All right, that's a good place to start. Do you know where it is exactly or should we look it up?" At this point, she was thinking about this wardrobe and what it meant that it could take Folly somewhere else. Nothing surprised her anymore in this town. She also wondered if she should take Strong with her. The man seemed eager to help, but she had no intention of brining Folly back to the circus and Strong may get in the way. Either way, she would take care of that problem, should it arise.

World News Now, formerly anchored by the missing Amelia Pilkvist, continues to serve as one of the dominant news sources in America. Steven Isaak, a formerly retired news anchor at the age of 67, generously stepped in to fill the vacancy. While there were plans to replace him, no one seems to want the job, claiming that Ms. Pilkvist was abducted by a government agency for knowing too much.

"Good afternoon', folks," Isaak greeted gruffly, shuffling the papers in front of him. While Altsoba enjoyed loads of media coverage, with all of the horrific events that happened--rivaling those in New York in 2014--Coventry did not have that much attention. Serial killers don't always warrant ratings, after all. "This mornin', Rupert Cornish, MP, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs arrived in Washington."

Isaak made a face at the camera, as if trying to understand why anyone cared about some old Tory. "While he's here on a diplomatic trip, there are talks of him soon appointing a new chief of the Secret Intelligence Service. We can only hope that this godforsaken man doesn't screw up."

There was a silence, before Isaak flipped his finger at the camera. "That's it. I'm Steve Isaak, folks, and farewell! May God have mercy on your yuppie souls."

It was not long until the emission faded to black, and somewhere, in a recording room, Steve Isaak was quickly and carefully fired.

Aloise nodded. She imagined that Sera must have had a designated guardian for Emmie, just in case something happened to her. Private investigations could go the wrong way sometimes, and with O.M.E.N. killing anyone that wasn't normal without remorse, there was always a risk. But even if Sera didn't leave behind a will, Aloise figured that she wouldn't want Emmie to go back to an orphanage or live on the streets either.

"Did Sera have a guardian picked out for you, just in case?" Aloise asked. "If not, don't worry about it...Liam and I always have room for one more." It would probably be the safest thing for her, anyways. Protected by two hunters. And the girl would likely know how to hunt by the time this was all over.

"Yeah, I'll go and get some of her things," Aloise nodded, rubbing Emmie's back comfortingly, before stepping inside. A few moments later she returned, holding Sera's possessions. "We'll keep these safe for you--and give her a hunter's funeral."

December 28th, 2016 - Cirque Anomaly, Storage Tent

Fairfax looked at Eudora sheepishly, before shaking his head. Although he could guess that they were in the circus, as nowhere else in Coventry had tents and photographs of people in circus gear, he didn't know a way out. "Nope. Can't say I've ever been, only went to the circus once or twice...Amiyra brought me once, she took to the place rather well," Fairfax mused. "Gypsy folk are like that, I s'pose, close knit bunch, keeping the family together, even if there's a large generational gap with one being from the future and all."

As Eudora searches through Fiodora's possessions, some of it is rather par for the course. There are costumes and gowns, books and photographs, necklaces and earrings. There is a deck of playing cards with a bullet hole through the middle, with the edges of the hole frayed, as if the cards were still used. A delicate set of throwing knives are put to one side.

However, the most interesting item that Eudora will find is not strictly one of Fiodora's per se. Our resident witch's eyes will fall upon a dusty old book, sitting on top of a pile of crates. There are two thumbprints on the cover, as if someone had disturbed it not too recently, but had not bothered to clean off the layer of dust that had accumulated.

Amari Parranitch is written on the cover, the words practically faint. The book appears to be at least over a century old.

December 28th, 2016 - Cirque Anomaly, the Grounds

Strong couldn't help but feel like the two mildly self-centered women in front of him were losing their patience with him. While this might have angered some, Strong instead felt a little sad. He knew that he wasn't the smartest person around, but he always figured what he lacked in brains he made up for in character. And, of course, muscles. He was easily the strongest person in the circus, physically speaking.

"The museum? It's in the historical district," Strong chimed in. And then realizing that his sudden stroke of "genius" might have drawn attention, he quickly offered an explanation. "Took my grandkids there a few months ago when they visited."

December 28th, 2016 - Location Unknown

As Liam fumbles about with the stapler, no miracle appears to come. The chains remain as firm as ever, the hooded figure continues to writhe about in pain, and the bespectacled man grins at him all the while. The man snaps his fingers and the stapler flies away, landing in his hand. He gives a look at Liam, as if to say is that really the best you can do? before tucking the stapler away into a pocket.

"That's a bit rude...and underwhelming," the geek sighs, cleaning his glasses on his shirt. He then snapped his fingers again, and Liam found himself flung against the wall. His head pounds a bit from the impact, but he doesn't stumble. He can't, really, as chains snake their way around him and hold him in tight. The man looks positively delighted, seeing a job well done.

"You want me to monologue now, don't you?" the man chuckled. "I was saving it for tonight, along with the grand reveal...But Mal over here, she's heard it all already. Might bore her a bit--though that's the least of her concerns, is it? Did she tell you what she is, Prophet? How she fetches souls and takes them to the beyond? If you've ever lost anyone...Well, blame her."

Emmie Adams

Location: Fifth Floor Andromeda's Room
Interacting With: @Morose Aloise Zamora.

Emmie gave Aloise a sad smile as she gently laid a comforting hand on her back, wiping her nose slightly when she asked her if Sera had any kind of Guardian to look after her in case something did happen to Sera. "None that I know of.. Sera kept most of her things, like case files, and notes on her laptop which is in our room." Emmie knew Seraphina kept a lot of information like current and past casefiles banking stuff and possibly her will was in there as well. She watched as Aloise headed back into the room to gather the things that she kept on her person. Emmie leaned up against the wall letting out another shaky sigh and wiped away some more tears.

When Aloise came back into the hallway holding Sera's wallet, which contained Sera's wallet all of Seraphina's ID's and the little money she had on her person as well as her car keys to her car. Emmie handed Aloise Sera's car keys since she didn't know how to drive yet, or even have her permit to drive. "Thank you." Emmie said softly as she opened the wallet for a moment looking down at Sera's ID before closing it again, holding them out for Aloise to hold onto for safe keeping for now. "What do we do now?" Emmie asked.

As the stapler did nothing, Liam let out something of a frustrated sigh as his shoulders went slack for a moment. "Can't I just get one brea-" He was cut off of course as he was flung across the room, groaning in pain as his head slammed against the wall and he coughed, the breath knocked out of him for a moment as he tried to push himself off the wall, only to feel those chains begin to wrap around him as he turned to face the nerd again, groaning as he was trapped there against the wall. Coughing a little as he recovered his breath, he groaned and rolled his eyes as the nerd continued speaking up. "Oh, please, monologue away." He groaned.

In reality, Liam hoped that the nerd would begin monologuing for as long as possible, an hour, two, ten, if he knew anything from movies, he knew that the longer the villain monologued, the more time he had to find some statistically improbably way of escape. As he remained trapped in the chains, he shifted his arms and hands idly, attempting to reach whatever he could in his jacket or pockets, and in the softest whisper he could utter, he began to do something he had only done once before in his life. He prayed. Well, it was less of a proper prayer, more of a desperate call for help from the big man upstairs. "If you're up there, you help get me out of this and i'll stop drinking, I swear."

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Circus Tent
Interacting With: Fairfax

"Ah well," Eudora muttered as she walked past Fairfax to individually examine all the memorials, "Doesn't matter too much, we could always just wander around till we find an exit," she looked at the wardrobe, muttering something about a lion to herself before continuing, "I doubt we have much time to look around, if we want to save that man, we have to act quick. That is, do you even want to save this person?" Eudora asked before looking back at the dusty clown costume she was slowly feeling, the dust lay so thick on it, it felt like sand paper. Eudora was sure Fairfax was noble, but the confirmation would help.

She continued to stride past all the throwing knives, and bullet-riddled card decks, and costumes before stopping next to a book. Her curiosity forced her to switch her attention towards the book, after all, books did usually hold many bits of knowledge, if they were lucky, they might even find a clue. She picked it up daintily before blowing on it, scattering the dust into a fine mist that quickly dissipated. Her gaze flicked over the name on the book before she snapped it open and skimmed through looking for anything interesting.

And with her nose still deep within the book's pages, Eudora spoke up again. "Y'know," she begun, taking slow strides towards the wardrobe again, "I wouldn't blame if you didn't want to come with. You barely know this person, you shouldn't feel like you have to come along," Eudora flicked open the wardrobe's doors once more, praying to whatever higher energies that there may be to grant her some luck on her quest to find Liam. She lifted herself up and prepared to enter the swirling and mystic vortex but paused mid-step, "But if you do really want to come, the invitation is always open,"

She looked back at Fairfax, searching his youthful face for an answer.

Thalia thought for a moment as she heard what Strong had said. The historic district was an interesting part of town, but she never recalled a moment where she ever visited the museum. She had heard people talk about it, but she never once had been inside of it. Thalia never really cared much for museums, but based on what she knows, heading over there in search of Folly might not be a terrible idea. However, they didn't exactly have much time before they had to start getting ready for that evenings performance.

"Well..." she said as she looked up at Lilith, "We could swing by the museum now, but I don't think we have that much time before the call time for the circus. We probably would have more time to check it out tomorrow if we went then, but either way works for me. What do you think?" she asked, kind of ignoring Strong except for mentally acknowledging what he had said.

Lilith swore in her head. She completely forgot about performing today. She assumed with the fire and all the craziness that today's performance would be put on hold. Guess she was wrong. The show must go on. She forgot that performer's #1 rule. She shrugged her shoulders, "I guess it will have to wait until tomorrow then. We can go to that museum then. Hopefully, Folly will be ok still."

She was surprised Strong knew where to go though. She was surprised he knew pretty much anything. "Good idea Strong! Who's a good boy?" she said to him like one would to a dog. "Well, let's get ready for today's show. Someone is going to need to watch Boris though to make sure he doesn't take a shotgun to the audience or something."

December 28th, 2016 - Coventry Horrors, Fifth Floor

Aloise took the keys from Emmie and put them in her jacket pocket for safe keeping. She was fortunate that the camo jacket had so many pockets, allowing her to keep important possessions on her at all times--things like holy water and her lore journal. She then took the wallet from Emmie as well, putting it in a pocket with the keys.

She hesitated slightly before responding to Emmie. It was four in the afternoon, and in a few hours, the police were due to conduct door to door searches. Hanson and Keenan, the former a fugitive and the latter an agent for a corrupt organization, had gone in pursuit of Sera's killer. Liam, to the best of her knowledge, was trapped inside a wardrobe, along with Eudora. Andromeda was upstairs, investigating that wardrobe, and here was Emmie, having just lost someone close to her, asking what was next.

"We're going to figure out what's going on in this town," Aloise said finally. "It's all connected, somehow...And our best bet of finding out how is probably in...is upstairs." She caught herself just in time. Looking through Sera's notes would have been a good idea, had she not just been killed in front of Emmie. Aloise wasn't sure if Emmie could handle looking through Sera's things just yet.

"We can start by looking into the wardrobe with Andromeda."

December 28th, 2016 - Cirque Anomaly, Storage Tent

As Eudora flips through the pages of the book, she finds that it is largely a detailed family tree. Little symbols next to names take the reader to further pages in the book, filled with stories about the individuals. At the very bottom of the tree, Eudora reads the names Boris Valeska and Fiodora Valeska, with a neat line connecting them together to show marriage, and another line showing their child, Folly Valeska. Interestingly, underneath Boris' name is another, written in a messy script and crossed out. At first glance, it looks like the author simply misspelled Boris' name the first time and had to rewrite it, crossing out the mistake. Under closer inspection, however, Eudora will be able to make out the name Jack Fairfax underneath Boris'.

"Miss, I have been utterly fascinated and enchanted by this portal of sorts," Fairfax began, putting his goggles on his eyes. "I am a man of science. It is both my duty and my pleasure to join you." He smiles kindly at her. "And I served in the Great War, miss. I'm no stranger to combat." Nodding at Eudora, he then followed after her into the wardrobe, for them to turn up this time in.....

December 28th, 1929 - Coventry Horrors, the Attic

...the very place Eudora first found herself when she jumped through the wardrobe, the location where she had met Fairfax and lost Liam in the first place. There seemed to be little logic as to where one would appear, beyond the time changing with each trip through the wardrobe. To Eudora, a witch, she will notice that the magic of the wardrobe has increased exponentially. Something happened to increase its power, and even Fairfax, a man of science, was aware of the oddities.

"John!"

Before the man has much of a chance to regain his footing, he found himself dragged by the ear away from the wardrobe, with Folly looking at him, entirely frustrated. Her garb has changed from what it was before, as she wears a simple purple dress for the 1920's. It doesn't give her much of a figure, the flapper dress, but she manages to pull it together regardless. Her hair has been tucked behind her ear.

"Amiyra!" Fairfax called out happily, clapping his hands together.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Folly asked, frowning deeply at the man. "You could've been killed!"

"But I wasn't," Fairfax countered. "I was perfectly safe with Miss Eudora."

December 28th, 2016 - Cirque Anomaly, the Grounds

Strong may have been a bit daft and naive as strongmen went, but he wasn't entirely stupid. He knew when he was being made fun of and ignored, and while some may think he could tolerate that behavior from Lilith, it cut deep. "Yeah, best be ready for call," Strong grunted before excusing himself, and walking off in the direction of his tent. He looked almost menacing from behind, mostly due to his muscles.

True to Thalia's words, of course, the performance call time was in about an hour. Off at the main tent, the fires had been put out, and groups of performers were working quickly to disguise Boris' handiwork, or at least, make it appear to have been intentional. The show must always go on, of course. Thalia will need to find Boris at some point that evening, as she works as his assistant. Lilith has more freedom to decide as to what to do--and to seek out any assistance with her act that evening, if needed.

December 28th, 2016 - the Police Station

"Nothing? That's a pity," the nerd sighed, clasping his hands behind his back. He walked over towards where Liam had stood, grabbing the stapler that he had used in an attempt to free the hooded figure. The hooded figure raised her head ever so slightly, her face still shrouded in darkness, as the man threw the stapler at her. It was much like a child throwing a peanut at an animal in the zoo, all in an attempt to make it do something.

"You...won't..." the hooded figure spat, her breath sounding shaky and painful. The nerd tilted his head slightly, watching as the figure's back arched and the loudest scream yet tore itself from her lungs. A purple light engulfed the room, blinding everyone as the nerd shut his eyes, turning away. By the time the light faded, the cloak was crumpled on the ground in a heap. The wall she had been chained to had a gigantic hole blown through it, allowing a glimpse of the fallen bodies of police officers behind it.

It would then become clear where they were. They were in the records room of the Coventry Police Station. If Liam craned his neck, no officers would appear to be conscious to him that he could see. He couldn't make out, however, whether they were merely knocked out--or perhaps even more troubling, dead.

"Prayers won't help you, Prophet," the man replied with a bit of a sigh, as if disappointed once more in him. "The fabric of reality was already torn...And with the kumakatok dead, that hole is only going to widen." He chuckled slightly, looking like he was congratulating himself. "After all, there has always been three of them--and now, there isn't."

The man then shook his head and walked through the hole blown in the wall, eventually vanishing from Liam's line of sight.

Emmie Adams

Location: Fifth Floor Andromeda's Room
Interacting With: @Morose Aloise Zamora.

Emmie watched as Aloise took Sera's keys and wallet putting them into a pocket, her eyes looking up and meeting Aloise's for a moment and gave her a slight nod. Seraphina would want her to do something to keep her mind off of just losing her, wiping her nose with her sleeve and then sniffled ever so slightly. Whatever the wardrobe Sera did mention probably was something that was really important, as Emmie took a deep sigh. "Sounds like a plan to me.." Emmie said softly as she started to head up the stairs, she took a moment to stop looking into Andromeda's room. Seeing Sera's body laying there she just wished she could have done something to save Sera from death, Emmie then turned and continued her way up towards the attic Emmie wiped away a few more tears.

Once she was there Emmie looked around the attic for awhile until she spotted Andromeda and approached her looking over at the wardrobe Emmie stepped closer to it. Emmie then reached for the handles of the wardrobe quickly pulling the doors open, taking a step back she stared at the portal that was inside of it. "What is this?" Emmie asked looking over at Andromeda as she stood there looking at it, it was like something out of a Narnia.

Thalia Maehers

Location: Cirque Anomaly

Thalia nodded to Lilith and Strong, and left them, walking away without another word. She figured that she probably should find Boris. She wasn't too sure what was going to happen during the show, who knew since Boris' wife was dead and his daughter was missing. Thalia knew that she probably also should make sure that she knew what was going to happen during the show, to know what acts they were going to perform. It was probably the same show as usual, but who knew with Boris in control.

She worried a little about him, she knew the man all too well. Having worked with him for a while now, she wondered if the man might have finally been pushed over the edge into insanity. Though she didn't really suspect that he had very far to go into the great realm of mental breakdown. Pulling herself out of her thoughts, she continued on her search for Boris, and hoped that he wasn't planning to do anything stupid.

Liam Matthews

Location: The Police Station
Interacting With: The Nerd @Morose

Liam continued his quiet prayers, only disturbed from them as he heard the incredibly loud scream of the hooded figure. Closing his eyes to protect them from the intense light, he opened them to see the massive hole in the wall, craning his neck to see the police officers. Turning his gaze back to the Nerd as he spoke up, he glared in his direction, more or less expecting to be dealt away with next. But instead the nerd moved off and through the wall. He had no idea what he was doing, where he was going, but Liam didn't exactly want to wait around to find out.

As he was left alone, Liam began to properly struggle for the first time since he'd been chained up against the wall. He wasn't sure why he had been left alive, but he knew that it probably wouldn't stay that way for long. He kept struggling, pushing against the chains, hoping to get lucky and break free or at least get loose through brute strength. However, he did cast his gaze around, he didn't think he'd be able to reach much, but the more he could see and anything that would help him escape certainly wasn't going to go awry in that situation.

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Coventry Hotel
Interacting With: Fairfax and Folly

Eudora widened her eyes at the scribbles on the pages, struggling to hold back a gasp or/and an accusatory bark towards Fairfax. She silently snapped the book shut and tucked it secretly between the folds of her dress and shawl as she turned to look at Fairfax. Something about him, his posture, his reply, his tone, it all felt so very earnest, so pure and well intentioned. It wasn't fair to him to suddenly jab him with a thousand and one questions about some silly scribbles on a page, everyone had a right to keep a secret. Eudora would be in the wrong if she were to try to squeeze the information out of him. Eudora flicked her eyes from Fairfax's face and to the ground, thoughts brewing in her mind.

Perhaps, it wouldn't be as wrong to simply tease the information out of Fairfax, Eudora needed to know everything, especially in a time as dire as this.

"Let's go then," Eudora said in a tone that didn't betray her intentions of later secretly probing Fairfax with a myriad of questions.

Eudora calmly stepped through the portal, now adjusted to the sudden drop sensation she felt whenever going through the wardrobe. But somehow, this trip felt a bit... different. Eudora couldn't quite put her finger on it but it just felt more intense. Words couldn't properly describe. No matter, she shook her head and tried to forget about the matter, focusing instead on surveying the area around her.

It was the hotel again, and by the looks of it, they were back in the 1930s. With every breath, she felt another layer of dust settling in her lungs, has no one here heard of a duster? Eudora sighed as was ready to jump straight back into the portal again, willing to jump through and fro until they landed somewhere new. Had it not been for the small girl in the loose purple dress, Eudora would've jumped back by now.

"Folly!" Eudora exclaimed in a mix of both relief and shock, her hand flying to her mouth as Folly started to drag Fairfax away. "What on Earth are you doing here? I thought you ran away into the forest!" she said, a bit sterner this time like a nanny scolding a child for sneaking out past bedtime. However, that tone soon vanished as something Folly said reminded Eudora of what she needed to do.

"John?" she said, not a hint of deception or malice in her voice, "I thought you were named Jack! My third eye must be getting weak," she mumbled innocently while tapping the space right above the middle of her eyes. "Do you know a Jack though? Perhaps a close friend, a buddy, a brother?"

Eudora swirled her knowing eyes towards Fairfax, part of her trying to trick Fairfax into making him believe that she knew more than she actually knew, hoping it would cause him to spill some truths.

And another part of her felt bad for thinking that she needed to trick Fairfax.

Lilith St. Sebastian

Location: Cirque Anomaly
Interacting With: No One

Lilith left the others to go get prepared for the show. She had more freedom than the others to do what she wanted before, but she didn't want to go see about that wardrobe just yet. Thalia may be good to have with her as back-up. Strong, she wasn't sure. Muscle is always nice, but he could cause more trouble than needed. Either way, it would have to wait until tomorrow. She didn't want to leave anyway. Boris nearly burned the whole circus down. She didn't feel comfortable leaving them to deal with him alone. Especially Thalia, who had to work closely with the bastard.

She stopped by her tent and gathered her things: her throwing knives, Tarot cards, and crystal ball. She made her way over to the big top tent to set herself up. She still had to earn her keep, after all. Folly would have to wait, though it pained her to do so. As she prepared, her thoughts raced to the wardrobe, the museum, and what it meant in Folly's journal. A portal to another place? Such a thing was possible, considering all that she has seen, but still. She needed to see it for herself.

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colours anymore, I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I wanna see it painted, painted black
Black as night, black as coal
I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black
Yeah

December 28th, 2016 - Coventry Horrors, Seventh Floor

While Aloise had been tending to Emmie downstairs, Andromeda had been searching the seventh floor. The wardrobe had created a bit of a mess, when it fell through the ceiling, and Alexander's corpse was still on the ground. She grimaced a bit, eyeing the dumbwaiter that had been the instrument of his death. Had it been properly bricked up, Folly never would have been able to shoot the man from inside. Goosebumps ran up and down her arm, as she couldn't help but imagine someone else there, waiting with a gun, but trained on her this time.

In one of the corners of the room, she had found a trunk. In her professional opinion, its age was about the same as the wardrobe's. The hinges on it had almost entirely rusted, but not to the extent that it could not be opened. It took a great deal of strength, with her putting her entire body into getting the trunk's lid to budge, her feet slipping slightly against the floor as she shoved, but it eventually popped open.

Inside the trunk there were the artifacts of a person's life. Clothing, trinkets, and a dusty diary greeted Andromeda. Pulling her gloves up higher on her fingers, with them halfway off but keeping the oils on her skin from touching the diary, she removed it from the trunk and examined it carefully. Much of the writing was faded, but Andromeda could dimly make out a name -- Ms. Margaret Coyne. Printed neatly on the spine was another name in simple font -- Pinkerton.

Andromeda heard footprints approaching, and figuring that it was most likely Aloise and Emmie, she set the diary carefully down on the lid of the trunk. It was possible that there would be something helpful inside, but there was also no reason to expect it had any bearing on the wardrobe.

Aloise followed Emmie rather quickly into the room, trying to pull the young girl back away from the wardrobe, but Emmie opened the doors. The tunnel like portal splayed out in front of them, energy crackling and sizzling like lightning bolts trapped inside of a Faraday Cage, rather than outside. "Emmie, get back from that," Aloise warned, her voice a bit hoarse. They had already lost too many people that day.

But the wardrobe had become more powerful, more unstable. The portal, as if sensing Emmie's curiosity, began to pull on her gradually, to the slightest extent that it was not immediately noticeable. "I'm not sure," Andromeda replied. "We don't know what it does, where it goes to...What happens to those who cross it."

And as if on cue, the portal let out a screech almost of energy, practically grabbing Emmie as she was thrown into the portal. Andromeda was sucked up quickly behind her and the doors snapped shut, just as Aloise, the ex-marine, attempted to grab Emmie. A tear slid down Aloise's face as she fell to her knees, slamming her fists repeatedly against the wardrobe door. But nothing of any particular note happened.

"No..." Aloise choked out. As far as she was aware, Andromeda and Emmie could be dead.

December 28th, 1929 - Coventry Horrors, Attic

Fairfax couldn't have looked more confused as Eudora asked him if he had a brother named Jack or knew a Jack. He didn't have any siblings and he couldn't have bothered himself to care for his cousins. They tended to be rude, pompous, and arrogant. They thought that because they fought in the war, it meant that they were better from others. They were the opposite of everything Fairfax was. But none of them, as far as he could recall, were named Jack. "Haven't the foggiest idea what you're talking about," Fairfax admitted.

Folly, however, looked slightly startled as Eudora began asking about a Jack Fairfax. She glanced at Eudora, almost fearful for a moment, before shaking her head. "You can't ask him those sort of things--he shouldn't know about the future." Her voice may have been quiet, but her tone was strong and confident. "It'll mess with time if he does." She had entirely ignored Eudora's scolding her for her whereabouts, and Fairfax seemed ready to interject his own argument that knowing about the future would be perfectly fine, when a white-haired woman and a blonde teenager fell out of the wardrobe.

"...How many more of you are there?" Folly asked, eyeing Eudora suspiciously. "You're damaging time, like this..."

Fairfax, however, seemed more amused and shocked by the white-haired woman. He had never seen someone so young with hair like that before, and to him, it was a marvel. The continued appearance of people from the future, especially with their odd dress, brought a smile to his face. "Hullo, there!" Fairfax greeted. "Friends of Amiyra or friends of Eudora?"

"....Er, neither," Andromeda answered, her eyes a bit wide as she took in the room. She recognized the attic of her childhood home instantly, but it was different. It felt almost a century younger. There was no gaping hole in the floor where the wardrobe had crashed through. The room felt repaired, usable, livable. She couldn't help but wonder for a moment why it had been boarded up--what had happened?

December 28th, 2016 - Cirque Anomaly, the Grounds

As Thalia searches the ground for Boris, she won't be able to find the madman. Perhaps with his current state, that is for the better. There's no telling what the man is capable of, as grief seems to have only heightened his insanity. As she nears the Storage Tent, Thalia will begin to sense something odd. It will remind her of what she felt in the woods in Europe, a temporal disturbance. The feeling will increase the closer she gets to the tent, culminating once she finds the wardrobe inside of it.

Meanwhile, in the main circus tent, Lilith will find all of her things are in order, just as she left them. A few of the kids in the circus are playing up on the trapeze, giggling and shouting among each other. The ringleader is speaking with a nerdy looking man, dressed in a lab coat and wearing thick glasses. A badge on the man's chest identifies him as a VIP for the circus performance that night, entitling him to backstage access and the ability to watch the performers get prepared. A few words are exchanged between the man and the ringmaster, before the pair shake hands, and the man takes a seat in the front row. He winks at Lilith and gives a bit of a wave.

December 28th, 2016 - the Police Station

As Liam starts to look around the room, a blinding shock of pain rips through him. It feels as if he has been put inside a human pressure cooker, with the pain growing and covering his entire body. In rapid succession, ten visions come to him. None of them are clear, all of them blurry. He cannot make out their meaning and he cannot understand the images, only feeling a sense of dread, a terror that will build and build with each passing second.

The visions will then abruptly stop, but the pain doesn't. The wind will be knocked out of him, as if he had been punched in the stomach, and as he lurches forward, a vividly clear vision will come to mind. The train station in Coventry will appear to him, with a rapid series of signs practically jumping out at him. Some of them indicate the platform, others indicate trains leaving for Salem, Boston, and so forth. Holding a ticket for a train to Boston, continuing on to New York, is this woman.

She holds a phone to her ear, and as if she knows that Liam is watching her, whispers to a person on the other end. "She's dead. Just as you asked."
