What are the rules regarding which deities can be used as half-blood parents?
Scrolling through the Character Tab I notice a couple of demigods who are the children of some of Greece's maiden goddesses (swore a vow of chastity) and a couple that are the children of primordial deities that typically didn't interact with the mortal plane beyond the aspect they embodied in nature. I haven't read all of the bios so I don't know if there were special circumstances regarding those, I'm just wondering are we allowed to choose basically any celestial being from Greek mythology or should which deities that could or can't, would or wouldn't be limited by the Greek myths?
@Prince of Seraphs You can use anyone however those who have a vow of chastity, you cannot be born under them. You can join sister's of Artemis but there is an exception for Atena, considering Percy Jackson

That includes the primordial gods? Nyx, Gaia, Erebus, those sorts. The ones that are essentially personifications of a concept?

Bio: Aster was born in Portland, Oregon where he and his mother Cynthia S Clement lived. From the age of four he developed an extreme interest in the stars and constellations. His mother knew this was because of his father, she feared if her son knew his divine origins he would leave him but she was aware that one day he would know. Cynthia sent her son to school like other kids she didn't think anything would go wrong.
Aster had a hard school life, after all he felt different from other kids. School teachers saw him as a day dreamer with his head in the clouds and always got on his case for never paying attention.
Kids didn't understand him and found him odd, many just avoided him because he didn't really speak except when he was asked to do something or he wanted to. School went on like this until he started experiencing weird things.
When he turned twelve years old he developed an odd ability to see so many stars in the sky, this bothered his mother Cynthia because she knew this was the beginning of his developing powers.
She was desperate to keep her son from learning his parentage, but he would soon learn. At in the next few years he started to develop a strange ability that his mother assured him was a coincidental accident.
By 16 Aster knew he wasn't normal and he confronted his mother Cynthia about this after school one day when a kid tried to hit him on the shoulder and he was knocked back by nothing but a flash of light.
Cynthia cried, and her son yelled at the top of his lungs then as she cried. She knew it was time her son knew that he was a child of a Titan.
Aster listened as his mother told him about his father a strong lad of forty with a black beard and short hair cut close, his eyes bight as the stars and a walk that made him glide across any room.
His father had left something for him when he left and told her that their son would not be normal and then he told her that he was a Titan. Astraeus took out a ring with the constellation Ara depicted on it as an altar.
After Cynthia told Aster all this he was relieved, he finally understood why he was so strange and could accept himself but he still would never have very much confidence.
A year and a half later Cynthia decided after lots of research and some homeschooling for Aster, that her son should be with others like him and that is why he and Cynthia agreed to send him to Olympus the School of Demigods.
