Hey, since there is now an opening, you might want to let Bishop know since they expressed interest but everything was full.
Also as an update, I have one paragraph of my bio down since I haven't had much time to do it so I'm doing it a few sentences here and there at a time. Hoping to have it completed here soon >.< soooo sorry for the wait!!!
Name: Gor'Dorthrar of the Gul'Thazar Empire. Age: 39 Occupation: Torturer Ring: Black Crystal Ring
Appearance:
A precise replica of the skull of the previous owner. He added some elements to make it more aesthetically pleasing but otherwise it stays true to the original only that it is metal.
His body is cloaked by a dark robe and he wears metal gauntlets and boots.
Biography: No one knows of his origins or his life before he was found in the underground fighting pits of Gul'Thazar. He had made a name for himself and qualified for the finals. It was him, as a 19 year old kid vs the long standing champion of 20 years of pit fighting, the Mighty Gordrass. He was a big brainless brute with multiple metal objects protruding from his body. Scars adored his physique like the exquisite carvings of a fine china, except this was gruesome and disturbing, not for the faint of heart. But this sport wasn't for soft people. Only the most amoral and evil people came here. Watching other people shed blood and fight with animalistic ferocity, not even a proper arena match between warriors, more like watching 2 beasts tear at each other while the real beasts cheered for them. So there stood Gor versus the mighty champion of the pits, Gordrass. A fight to remember, a fight that would change everything, a fight that would be personally spectated by the emperor...
Years Later Screams echoed through the dungeon walls, reaching all the way to the ground levels. It was built this way for everyone near the castle to witness, these pained and deathly screams, for their very soul to understand and fear what happens when you go against the Empire. The whole Empire itself felt like it was taken from a horror novel written by sadistic cannibalistic serial killer with a twisted mind. Their cities, their armies and tactics, everything about them resonated this madness that had become part of everyone within the Empire. And their goal? To spread this madness.
Gor stood right at the source of all that screaming. He was the torturer after all. Slowly and patiently he took his time on the prisoner. This one was special after all. He had something that had caught the interest of Gor. A ring to be precise, a ring with a black crystal embedded on it. Taking the ring out of his pocket and looking it quizzically once more, he then spoke to the prisoner without moving his eyes off the ring:"You will tell me all you know about this ring. Now, how painfully long that shall take...is up to you." During the following days he got every ounce of information he could out of the old man. He also learned about the existence of other rings. Now he had a goal in mind, the collection of every ring, achieving the ultimate power and ultimately ruling over this world. But he couldn't just leave the Empire, he would be hunted down, he had to do something about that and so he did. Using the power of the ring he threw the emperor out of the balcony. With him dead, there was an absence of power which caused every future wanna-be-emperor to claw through each-other to fill it. With the Empire in utter chaos and close to ruin as the Emperor was all that kept it together, or rather the fear of him which was built over centuries of legends. Supposedly he was immortal although that wasn't the case but that's how the rumors worked and how the whole system kept the Empire "in order". Now, just as he was holding a grand speech, an unseen force throw him all the way in the middle of the crowd. This cause quite a bit of panic and Gor used this panic to escape unnoticed.
Now free of the Empire he set on his search to locate the rings. But the old man also told him of how people went mad when wearing more than 1. He had to find away around that but first things first, locate the rings, then he would decide what to do.
I'm sorry, @Bishop, but your character sheet was submitted after @RoccanIronclad PM'd me with one. He did exactly as I asked by PMing me, and he slid into home plate by about 5 hours before your OOC post.
@RoccanIronclad You may post your character sheet to the IC tab ASAP.
I have added another section to the first OOC post under Rules. This new section is a hider called, know your power level. Refer to this when you think about how powerful you should make your character appear when posting.
Hey, I apologize but I think will have to drop out. I can't get my bio the way I want it no matter how many times I fix it. I really wanted to be a part of this but it is not fair to take up a spot when all I am doing is struggling. Someone else could already have an amazing idea and know exactly how to put it down.
Just a heads up posting has been awfully late cause I've gotten caught up with some irl stuff, but I'm still here and will get around to posting in another day
I hope everyone is doing well. I've been a busy fellow IRL. We all know how that goes. I would like to remind everyone however that there is a "Stay Active" rule in place that states:
"Whenever someone doesn't post to the RP for two weeks straight, I will reopen this RP to new applicants. If someone applies before the inactive member makes another post, the inactive member's character will loose his/her ring to the newcomer."
This should not be hard, as all it takes is a simple, "Hey, I'm still here!" message in the OOC section. Most everyone is posting steadily, or at least can be reached. I do however have one person that has fallen off the grid. According her profile @Game Maker has not been on the site in 15 days (as of the time I'm writing this message). Unfortunately, I'm going to have to enforce this rule now. Therefore the Green stone ring is now up for grabs.
This makes three rings that are open to new players. The Green Stone Ring. The Red Stone Ring. And the Black Crystal Ring. For any new players that are reading this. Feel free to ask questions here in the OOC and build a character sheet for one of these rings if you would like.
This does brings up a dilemma. How can the same "ring" be in two people's character sheet (the inactive user and the new user's)? This is the solution: Over time, the Ten Rings have been copied. Copies are almost always useless, but when done correctly and with enough luck, they can still wield power similar to the original. Unfortunately, these copies are very volatile. If the original ring or another copy of that ring is successfully activated, the copy will deactivate and the fake stone/crystal will shatter.
Tada! Dilemma solved! So if anyone new wants to join, speak up now! There is also the possibility that I will allow an already active member to get a hold of a second ring, (If you're willing to take on that challenge). Priority will be given to new comers.
Hey, thanks for the notification and well, I'm so sorry but I won't be around for long. I best off drop my character and allow someone else to take the spot of the White Crystal Ring.
