... Okay, this might seem a bit nitpicky buuuut...
Negari don't have normal insides. What comes out of them is a black, starry fluid rather then blood or muscle or anything. The connecting flesh will also be mostly featureless and black, the only notable feature being star-like lights.
How versed in Japanese culture do I have to be in order to join?
It shouldn't matter too big of a deal.
Although if you're trying to, I dunno, do a backstory that seems extra Japanese, you might wanna make sure you get the necessary information to add that verisimilitude.
Hey guys! So this roleplay ended up not really being what I expected. Nothing bad, just not my cup of tea, plus I don't have as much free time anymore--so I think I'm bowing out, sorry!
@Raineh Daze I apologize. I was under the assumption there was risk of death to the PCs and the climate was not exactly what I was expecting. I would continue regardless, but I have very limited free time now and there are other things I'm doing, like Camp Nanowrimo and a few other roleplays. I hope you all have fun!
Seeing as I was in a scene with NightinGem, what do I do? I mean, under other circumstances, I'd easily just move along, but their character was kind of driving the scene with their "seeing colours" mumbo jumbo.
Regular Appearance: Yuu is defined by her purple-colored eyes, brown hair, and slim build. She usually wears her sweater, despite the season or temperature. The picture says most of it.
MacigalwaifuGirl Appearance:
Yuu looks just as depicted in the picture. However, her costume is not made of fur, for it is made of a leather-like substance which is noticeably lighter. The lower part of the skirt wherein the buttons are stationed open up, in order for them not to catch wind, thus making Yuu's airborne movement unhindered. She also does not wear boots for obvious reasons. Personality Yuu is not stationed at a certain street or place, and she can be seen fighting Negari in various places, making her a vigilante. She doesn't don her costume much, and she disappears from sight after her job is done. She also has a mostly quiet demeanor. This gives her a mysterious air, making her unnecessarily intimidating at times.
However, under the costume, she is a typical fragile flower. She is the kind of submissive person who would get bumped on the street and then say sorry to the person who bumped her. Due to that, she stays out of costume almost always. She does not have a fan club, and nobody has probably heard of her.
That doesn't make her half as competent, though. She'll hack you into pieces if the situation calls for it. Skills: Yuu's strongest non-magical asset is her intelligence. She possesses sharp naturalistic intelligence, which probably sprouted from her habit of naming everything she comes across as part of a bored gig. She can also find her way out of a sharp situation if you keep her away from all the pressure. She has a keen memory, and she can easily recall events from the past. Her grades are considerably high, taking into account that she isn't interested in anything extra-curricular.
She is also very talented in playing the piano. She also likes to bake.
Abilities: Yuu is essentially an airbender, and she relies on mobility more than often.
Gust: Yuu's primary movement ability. She can dematerialize into a gust of wind, and fly in the air. She can only keep this up for a limited amount of time, and she will have to transform back into her original body after a while.
Air Disc: Yuu can create up to ten air discs during combat, and she can control their movement. In only five discs are present, Yuu can control them with little focus, and still move while doing so. If more than five sir discs are present, she will need to cease her movement in order to maintain firm control over the discs.
As an airbender, Yuu can control her movement in air. Basically, she can fly.
She can manipulate the flow of air offensively. She may cut a person into half with a sharpened gust of wind. She can also create small tornadoes.
Weapon: The Flying Cloud
Yuu's main weapon is a light chakram. She can divide it into half, for the purpose of melee combat. Biography: Since childhood, Yuu was raised in solitude. She did not feel comfortable around other people, and she was distinguished by her helplessly antisocial attitude and her constantly recurring stage fright. Due to that, she would dedicate her time to her studies.
Until she met Alex, that was. So you would probably ask, "How, by any chance, would an antisocial dweeb somehow meet a magical creature who would kindly offer her help and thrust her into a world of magic and secrets?"
Ha! You are laughably gullible! Have you ever read any decent manga before? Ha! Ha ha ha-never mind.
Anyways, Yuu once decided to take a walk in the local park. She was studying the variety of flowers that were planted on the sidewalk when she heard a rustling sound coming from a nearby bush. There was definitely something in that nasty plant, and it would most likely be a squirrel or some other forest-dwelling furry.
But that would be boring!
The creature turned out to be a miniature fairy. With wings. And a peculiar outfit. Upon the fairy's release, the fairy thanked her for saving her. She had identified her as a pure-hearted individual with the best intentions. She informed her that the world was filled with monsters that were created out of the negative emotions of man: fear, anguish, hatred, and loathing. Such monsters needed to be destroyed by a worthy savior.
And that savior would be you Yuu. After getting used to her powers, she would hunt and purge the Negari whenever she had the time or when the situation called for it. She did not choose any location or time. She would become the bane of all dark creatures that dared to set foot on her beloved homeland.
She currently studies at East Umitori High School, Class 3-G. As for now, nobody knows her identity. She has rarely been caught fighting Negari, and she has been labelled as the "White Raven".
Fairy
Note: The fairy has white wings. They aren't shown in the picture.
Fairy Name: Alex
Fairy Personality: Alex tends to be very clumsy and frantic, and she sometimes ends up getting Yuu in trouble. Despite that, she tends to be very supportive of Yuu in her work. She tends to be talkative and awkward at times. Theme Song:
What ending? It's a slice of life. "And life goes on" is pretty typical for the genre. :P Besides, they ran out of manga to adapt, so it's no wonder they chose to wait.
