Lukas is a teen that boldly stands out at striking six feet and two inches, sporting somewhat of an athletic build with a fair amount of muscle to boot... despite his somewhat lanky appearance. Despite his supposedly prestigious lineage, his short, brown hair is an unkempt mess, comparable to a jungle. Pieces and strands of hair usually stick out here and there in random directions. On the rare occasion that he does brush his hair, there will usually be a strand or two sticking out. Just like the rest of The Kunze Family, his eyes are of a crimson hue.
His usual attire consists of a dark blue, well preserved blazer that looks almost store new; it has some simple gray embroidery lining all the edges of the blazer. To go along with that, Lukas adorns himself with a crisp, white shirt he wears underneath. Finally, to bring the whole outfit together is the centerpiece - a dark blue tie. Along with that, he wears black work-boots. The strangest thing about him, however, is the weapon and sheathe he carries. Located left side of his pants is a leathery tanned sheathe with a basket-hilted steel sword that appears to be well maintained.
The Kunze's, a rich German family who have adapted over time to assure that their kin are inherently superior, whether it comes to their lifestyle, or powers. While the way they approach things over time has changed, one thing that certainly hasn't changed is the way they handle their superpowers - telekinesis. This family looks to breed the best telekinetic users in the world and will do almost anything to ensure their blood will always have telekinesis.
Before ATLAS came into the picture, to showcase things off, they functioned as full-fledged vigilante's and kept their identities secret, as they felt those they fought and apprehended were not even deserving of knowing who stopped them. With their superiority complex, the way they still professionally handle things with criminals, and their semi-inhumane training sessions that push them to perfection in many ways has earned both fame and infamy amongst certain groups of supers...
However, they have earned the begrudging respect of ATLAS for their efficiency, and are usually one of the Family's they contact when their agents are strained on their missions, or certain superpowered humans are busy managing their own life. This has boosted their egos, causing them to be even more harsh with their training sessions...
And Lukas is no stranger to this lifestyle.
Born in New York to a wealthy telekinetic lawyer and demonic kindergarten teacher, Lukas' life had a jarring combination of being as lavished as it was grueling. He wasn't given any quarter to this knowledge as soon as the young child turned five. Despite his fathers protest on the subject, his mother managed to convince him and began a completely serious talk with the five year old Lukas. It was... rather difficult to keep his attention, but with enough cajoling and raising the harshness in her voice, she managed to finish explaining what their household stood for and what powers he would have.
Five months after the talk with Lukas, he ended up developing the powers, albeit at the expense of frightening both of his younger sisters. He was bemused and couldn't fathom what was happening in that time of panic. The mother was inadvertently contacted by her husband who explained to his wife that theirs sons powers had manifested. He also explained that he got into contact with one of his friends, who had the situation contained.
As the grueling day was brought to an end, Lukas' mother came home, finding her husband there with her two little daughters huddling behind him, asking what was going on with Lukas and if he was ok.
Moving past her husband and children, his mother found that multiple plates were broken, most of the living-room had been rearranged, and that two of the toys in the children's bedroom were suspended in midair. She found Lukas, sniffling and crying a little bit, the fathers friend, an ATLAS agent standing by the door. She thanked the agent for their quick intervention and took over, via using her own psychic powers to apprehend the toys. Thanking the man for assisting, he left the establishment as his mother went to comfort and soothe the small child for what had transpired... it took about thirty minutes before Lukas completely calmed down.
And then, that's when she launched into another explanation of what this would entail. She explained that Lukas was going to need a tantamount of training to handle his newfound powers and live up to the legacy, sounding somewhat depressed...
Eh, that wasn't important, as Lukas was going to learn how to control his powers... at first, he wondered if this meant he was going to be like his mom and have to wear a cool looking suit and kick criminals butts! Or "reform" them as his dad said. Either way would work for the young child, imagining that he would be like his heroic mother, father, or like spider-man!
And then there came the part when Lukas frightened his sisters, almost accidentally hurting them from time to time... and then there was his dad who was a bit scratched up... As much as he imagined being like his mom or one of the fictional heroes, the thing that pervaded his mind the most was making amends for what he did... at least, do the best of his abilities.
... well, after training at least. The next day, his mother took a day off from work to teach Lukas some of the basics, such as not losing control of his powers, learning how to handle certain items, and possibly discover what his limits were when it came to telekinesis while young... it does run in the family after all.
After that day past, that's when he began doing his best to make amends, ranging from helping his father or mother cook if they would let him assist, play with his sisters (and get shoved into ridiculous dresses), help with some minute projects, etc. This more or less ended up becoming common practice, and played a bit into him managing his time on stuff he needed to do.
Eventually after some time past over the manifestation of his sisters powers and training for all of them, most of the family would head to Germany each summer, starting around the time at the young age of ten. Of course, this wasn't any visit just for his mother to catch up with her siblings, or for the three children to meet up with the Kunze's... sort of. It was more or less to prepare some of the children for the rigorous training they would undergo when they were of the ages nine, ten, or eleven.
While they did chat and talk, it was more apparent that some of his aunts, uncles, and grandparent's dislikes Adriane, his younger sister. After some truly rigorous training that honest to god left most of them either passed out, hurting, unable to move, or just plain tired, he would usually lend an ear the best he could when she calmly spoke about how it was unfair to not include her.
Lukas did find that aspect somewhat strange since he did assume she saw the training and how much it took out of them, physically and mentally, just to perform what the family required them to do,per tradition... then again, he did start to question why she wasn't involved. When he asked his older relatives, they either just gave him a cryptic response, asked who "Adriane" was, question why he was asking them this, or told him to stop slacking and get back to training.
He found it even more bizarre when some of his cousins who were present at the time refused to speak up about this, gave a blunt "who" to him, or told him to pretend his own sister didn't exist. Lukas felt
With the way they acted, Lukas felt that this warranted a sort of call to action... but yet when he tried to do something about it, it always fell flat on his face. They just repeated the same old mantra's, same old speeches... he felt powerless, unable to do anything to alter their mindset throughout most of the summer... until eventually she appeared to be training along side them one day. Lukas thought that they finally allowed the girl to join them in their sessions... and as it turns out, she was there out of her own volition, lacking permission.
Jumping to her aid, he bad mouthed his cousins for their own repulsive behavior... and what happened next felt like out of a nightmare; he couldn't believe what was happening. The people he bonded with over the first portion of the summer ravenously tried to tear him away or injure his sister through the weights and training equipment they tossed at them both. It was just as appalling when his own uncle's and aunt's stood idly by, even encouraging the children to keep it up.
While this was brought to the head of the house, Lukas couldn't sleep that night, not after what he witnessed. The screams and items hurled at them could be comparable to a mob chasing down a "witch," and the fact that he knew that his sister wanted to cry after all this... but she held it all in and tried to do her best to stay stoic... but Lukas? There was a reason why he couldn't sleep that night.
Eventually, Lukas was able to find out that she was able to train beside them, much to the chagrin of the older members of the House. The bullying didn't stop, but he did notice that she would constantly take everything in stride and constantly push herself to perform better than the others... and as much as he wanted to support her in her endeavors, what kind of older sibling would he be if he let her surpassed him. Usually the older ones had to act as an example!
So in turn, he pushed himself to his own limits, continuously striving for perfection...
The training continued naturally each year, albeit with broken bones, a singed body, et cetera. They were to train the body as well as the mind you know... and he continued to view the mistreatment of his sister as nothing but a bad dream, something that would pass eventually.
After a certain event, Lukas finally came to terms with the family he was raised in, finally acknowledging why they tried to sweep his sisters very existence under the rug, and why they always thought so highly of themselves. They strived to create the perfect set of telekinetic users, ensuring their own superpowered superiority, as well as their "normal" superiority. He even learned of the past ways they disposed of those that weren't imbued with the powers of telekinesis, ranging from exile to death.
So, with that knowledge, he came to wonder why they didn't perform any of these deeds. Lukas speculated at the obvious, that his own mother was up to something that ensured the safety of his sis. There was also the fact that their grandfather was the current head, so he took that as another reason as to why she hadn't been removed one way or the other... But still, what could he do now?
Lukas never dispelled that thought as time went on. Eventually, he and many others began to set their eyes on a school to attend to further not only their own control over the mind, but the future of the house and their own welfare as well. There were a... few that chose to attend some of the less popular schools, while most of the Kunze Children (himself and his sister) opted to head to Palladium. Due to the large amount of Kunze's wanting to attend the Academy, there was a sort of dispute over who would attend where since the Family wanted to display their minute superiority over other supers...
... and luckily enough, his mother managed to ensure Lukas and Adriane a spot for Palladium Academy after a long dispute; their younger sibling was another story.
During the process of signing up and applying to join the school, he recalled the summers where rivalries amongst his relatives were created, as well as the information over how The Kunze Household worked. The strongest telekinetic user of the family would usually ascend to become the next head of the family. While that is the condensed version of how this process works, his goal became clear. Work his ass off, prove his worth, and ascend by a show of mental force.
He might of been just one person, but hell if he wasn't going to try and make some change to this system his family created. While he had his whole future ahead of him, he did have one definitive goal - rise to the top and succeed his houses head to become the next patriarch...
That way, he might not only change his sisters possible fate, but to ensure that no discrimination happens in the future against Kunze's who lack telekinetic powers.
Other Skills:
- Due to the, erm... strenuous training that went on with his prestigious family, he is able to take a punch (and a long list of other things), while returning one right back atcha'. But please, if you want to get personal with him ladies, then please keep your hands above the waist.~
- Due to his German heritage, he can speak and understand, well, German! While that's absolutely par for the course, there are times when he will slip up or misinterpret what someone says.
- Coffee, hoo boy, where to start. The boy loves coffee. Usually, one can find him up in the morning making a fresh batch of strong, minorly bitter coffee. It's pretty average coffee for the most part, but he's working on perfecting it, to say the least.
- Lukas is a bit of an amateur when it comes to fencing. He does understand all the ins and outs of it, but he still hasn't reached that point where he's masterful with it. To say the least, again, he is average.
- Finally, Lukas is a bit of an avid gamer. Usually he sticks to playing rpgs, or fps type games as he isn't really one for... strategy.
Power Set
Name:
Telekinesis
Abilities:
Disclaimer: Need permission from the other user(s) to affect their character(s) through Telekinesis to avoid power-gaming.
Lukas has the ability to manipulate matter with ease, controlling whether an object is going to shoot up or accelerate downwards. This can range from decelerating the speed of a physical weapon coming down on him, or completely stopping a bullet before ricocheting it back at the assailant. Lukas can influence up to six objects at one time, including his weapon of choice - a steel broadswords he can hurl at opponents to eviscerate, stab, or anything to cause loss of blood.
There are a multitude of ways he could utilize his superpowers, ranging from being on the offense, acting defensively, and mobility. Aside from the examples above, he could use his mind to pick up a hardened rock or table to block any incoming attacks before hurling it straight back at them. If someone tosses something at him, just redirect the item back to the sender. As for mobility? Lukas can just manipulate specific objects as long as he stands on them, or just control where his clothes take him.
Out of all states of matter, Lukas has the ability to manipulate solids the easiest, with liquids and gasses being just borderline impossible right now. While changing the molecular structure of any item is a bit out of his control, it is possible for him to change the shape of an object (i.e. bending and altering it, smashing two items together to try and "combine" it in a sense, et cetera). However, this process will take much longer than those with the specific power to modify said items.
Weaknesses:
Every Kunze has some psychic weakness they are born with, whether it be difficulty controlling a certain material to how long they can pick up objects at certain intervals. For Lukas, he can only pick up to six objects at a time. It doesn't matter what they are. For example, if he is picking up six bricks, Lukas will be fine to do so. Now lets change those bricks to feathers, and say he tries to pick up a seventh feather.
Sorry, no dice, he will struggle to even pick it up. Funny enough, the Kunze's also have another weakness when trying to exceed their limits. They end up getting a massive migraine and are unable to pick up any items with their mind for the next five minutes. All off the stuff they would be wielding at this point onward would drop to the ground. From what is shown, through enough practice and mental strengthening, this weakness will go away over time.
As a side note, he is unable to manipulate liquids, gasses, and other living beings. That's right, he can't even manipulate how a bird flies, how a caterpillar moves, or even another, sentient human-being... well, unless they're dead. In that case, it's fair game.
Another given is weight and resistance. At most, Lukas can currently lift up to six-hundred pounds with his mind... however, there is another catch. Lets say he lifts a table that weighs fifty pounds, with two plates that both weigh five pounds. He would effectively be lifting sixty pounds.
Other:
- Has an obsession with medieval weaponry and armor. In his old living space, he had a suit of plated armor in the corner of his room!

Name:
Adriane Kunze
Age:
15
Gender:
Female
Basic Information
Appearance:
Adriane is a composed lady who stands at a striking six feet and not another inch to it, well above average height. Due to the type of clothing she wears, it's difficult to tell that she has an athletic build and a flat, but taut stomach. As par for most of her lineage, she ensures her long black hair is kept orderly and looks well maintained when she goes out. And to seal the deal, just like the rest of the Kunze Family, her eyes are of a crimson hue. She is also wears glasses since she's blind as a bat without them.
Her usual duds? Black, black, and more black. Riveting, I know. Adriane is usually seen dressed with a black turtleneck that goes past her pelvis by about four inches... dunno where the neck is. Underneath that all is a black sports bra and underwear that stretches to match her shape when she transforms. Finally, she wears easily removal black thigh-high stockings and black formal shoes.
Personality:
- Bitter - Disciplined - No-nonsense - Passionate - Perfectionist - Quiet - Reserved - Serious - Somewhat lonely - Vindictive to a certain degree
Backstory:
Being the middle child of her family was a little interesting, to say the least. Born from a telekinetic lawyer who had good connections due to her family and a kindergarten teacher with access to demonic powers of transformation, she came a year after Lukas, and would of been the youngest if not for her sister who was born a year later... yeah, her parents got very busy for these next few years...
For the most part of her life, she was privy to the same knowledge as her older brother over the fact that supers existed and that she was going to develop powers in the future just like her mom or dad. Thankfully, it was a lot easier to explain it to her than to Lukas, though at the time, she didn't know what to think of this whole "superpowered" side she had. While it did amaze her, she was a tad bit frightened about what might happen. Would she be good like her parents? Bad like some of the people who robs stores and steal candy from children?
This black and white view would soon be shattered after an incident in their household where Lukas went crazy. While there was screaming, the worst she got was a bruise from keeping her sister safe until their father intervened. Was Lukas going bad? Is she going to end up evil like him? While there was much sniffling going on, a strange man in black managed to take control of the situation and have Lukas go to his room.
Later that night, Adriane was struggling to sleep, always staring at her brothers room that was adjacent to hers. Would he go out of control again?
Eventually, she did regain her trust in her brother after not only helping her out and being all around friendly towards her, but demonstrating his control over his powers... the younger one was much easier to convince, but Adriane took a while... the two parents had to constantly have a talk with her over this subject, so that might of helped just a bit.
Over time, she began to question why her powers hadn't shown up when she was around six years of age; during that time, her younger sister was able to manifest her powers and user them in a much more playful manner, albeit through controlling liquids. During this time, she began to ponder if she wasn't born without powers... until one day, they became rather... apparent.
Adriane was forced to takes a few sicks days off from school upon mysteriously developing wings upon waking up one morning. She didn't notice it until looking in a mirror and began freaking out a little. Thankfully, this time both of the parents were home and were able to straighten things out, though her mom did have a fearful look in her eyes... did she find her abnormal?
Regardless, instead of going along with Lukas and her little sister to train with their mom, it was instead spent mainly with her father. While the training wasn't as difficult as her moms, she did take note of this and urged her dad to do the same with her. While reluctant at first, she did show signs of pushing herself even further and faster, always talking about her siblings endeavors... and in the end, while he didn't crumble, he felt it was no use to take it at a slow pace.
... and surprisingly, to him, she managed to develop two forms at such a young age. Him and his ancestors from what he was told usually had a second by the time they were twenty, and later easily developed more forms, some they were flexible with.
A month later after this newfound discovery, instead of going to train with her father, she was instead taken by her mom. Was she going to be the one instructing her? Why were neither her brother or sister in sight? Of course, that's when the bombshell was dropped about her family and how they might regard her...
...
...
As the days come towards her attending Palladium Academy, she doesn't regret how she mistakenly acted. She saw the real side over her moms bigger family and why she didn't want Adriane to go... she didn't want them to know about how Adriane wasn't born with telekinesis, she didn't want her to experience the pain of spending so much time with someone, only for them to turn away from her... but still, she didn't have to be smothered with affection and protection by her own damn brother.
They ignored her, hell tried to dispose of her from what she began to slowly discover over the secret attempts made on her life... when they were training their bodies against certain elements, she knew they would turn up the power on that chair, and try to fry her to a pulp out of sheer spite and the callousness that most children would have.
... and when she thought she was going to pass out from proving herself, he came to help her. Why? She could stand on their own, so why would Lukas always interrupt it when the time was right? She was going to show that her tolerance to harm was far beyond all of them! She was going to show her own physical strength and intellect could outlast the raw power of telekinesis... but even with her hard work, in the end, he would always come to interrupt it.
As these thoughts flow through the woman's head, she set out with two goals - to prove that she didn't need protecting and to shove The Kunze's system which fails to recognize her own powers back in their face... she would show them...
Other Skills:
- Due to the difficult and strenuous training that went on with her prestigious family, she is able to take a punch (and endure a lot of electrocution) with ease, while being able to counter with her own savage blows.
- Due to her German heritage, she can speak and understand the language. She mostly understand it and obsesses over ensuring she knows it better than her brother or sister.
- Since her father was the one who mainly educated her one her abilities as opposed to her mom or family, she would end up fishing from time to time when on breaks with her dad. She ended up getting pretty good at it and enjoyed this hobby. This also might play into why she likes seafood.
- Weights also usually played a factor into the training, but she excelled in this course, outpacing her cousins and her own brother when it comes to this. She enjoys bragging that she can bench-press fifty more pounds than her brother.
- When not on summer vacation, she took up some boxing at the gym and has grown to be a rather well trained rookie with a mean left swing. Adriane does understand the fundamentals of it all, but chooses to box without contacts, leaving her blind. While this was a detriment early on, she has learned how to offset this through studying opponents, predicting them, and having superior endurance.
Power Set
Name:
Demonic Manifestation
Abilities:
Essentially, this power allows Adriane to morph into creatures that look similar to what stereotypical demons would look like. While she can, erm, "unlock" more forms (it's more like create new forms), she has access to only two at the moment.
Her first form is what she likes to call the "Seductress Form." In this state, her feet begin morphing into hooves, making her a little taller than she usually is. Along with that, she produces a tail from her behind, sprouts unusable wings from her back, and gains two horns that protrude from her head. Finally, the biggest thing that this increases are the size of her breasts and butt. This essentially makes her look like a Succubus.
Adriane's other form is what she likes to call her "Combat Form." In this state, like her other form, her feet morph into hooves, sprouts (again) unusable wings from her back, and produces a tail from her behind. However, there are a couple of major differences outside of these three. For one, her size doubles, Adriane's skin becomes as black as charcoal, and her muscle mass increases along her body, displaying hardened abs, arms, and thighs. Her hands become elongated and twist into gangreled claws. Finally, her head changes into one of a goat, with very red eyes. This form basically increases her strength and stamina, along with her sense of smell.
Weaknesses:
So across both these forms, they share one similar weakness - transformation time. Each form takes about thirty seconds to transform and usually she stays pretty still when doing it since she needs to focus. Moving around would increase the time it takes to change by one to two minutes.
For each of the forms, they all have their own weaknesses. The seductress form can cause back problems if stayed in too long for one... ok, that's a bit of a semi-jovial quip, but it could happen, long term possibly. The key factor to take in is that she doesn't gain the powers of a succubus at all. The only thing she gains are these new body parts which can either go against her, or be used against her. When it comes down to it, she has to use her own feminine wiles to get anything out of this form.
Adriane's combat form, while having impressive strength and stamina is very, very slow. She can't move as fast, and can easily be led around by much faster attackers unless she plans accordingly. The other weakness is that in this form, she can't exactly wear her glasses properly. Topped with the fact that she refuses to wear contacts essentially makes her as blind as a bat. While she can use her increased sense of smell to seek a target out, if multiple types of odors or perfume pervade an area, it will be very difficult for her to track opponents.
As a side note, due to these two forms, she has been supplied with a female sports bra and underwear that can stretch to match either of her forms measurements.
Other:
- They enjoy cosplaying, surprisingly, but keep this as a lowkey hobby of hers. Has only cosplayed as Aeris from FF7, and Homura from Madoka Magica.
- Despite the fact that she could have contacts instead of glasses, she prefers glasses for some unknown reason.
Meredith stands at a fairly tall five foot eight. Generally speaking the girl tends to carry herself with a slumped and somewhat lazy and slow demeanor. Somewhat, messy disheveled blond hair is her usual styling, with bright blue-green eyes typically observing things behind glasses. She has a petite, slender body that doesn't seem too physically impressive at first glance likely the result of spending too much time studying rather than practicing physical pursuits. Oddly enough for most teenagers she's never had much problems with keeping her skin and physical appearance looking her best. Most would likely find her attractive, if not for her somewhat lazy and unkempt demeanor. Just a side effect of her abilities.
Personality:
- Slow to trust - Shy when meeting new people - Cheerful - Reserved - Methodical - Slow to act - Intelligent - Gluttonous - Somewhat 'out there' - Spontaneous - Mischievous - Doesn't like conflict
Most people would likely find Meredith to be a bit...well, a bit on the shyer side when in public. She tends to more or less try to go unnoticed by others around her. Not because she is shy though, in reality she's just slow to warm up to people and tends to be fairly reserved in her actions until she does warm up to someone and tends to be rather slow to react to most others initially as she tries to determine what is the best method for her to get away unnoticed and appear the most 'normal'.
Aside from the fact she'd spend way to much time in the biology labs...
Once she does warm up to someone, they might see the more eccentric, mischievous and decidedly less cautious and reserved side of her. To those she's close too pranks, harmless flirting...dissection jokes...talking about how good someones 'body' is for scientific experiments...asking them for 'samples'...
Yeah, she's a bit on the macabre side once she warms up to people. She is totally harmless though.
Usually.
Just make sure to feed her. She tends to shy away from conflict, especially of the physical sort as she has a tendency to get carried away sometimes....
Backstory:
Meredith's history is a rather normal one. Born to a wealthy scientist and theoretical physicist Meredith had a fairly easy time growing up. She was quickly enrolled in the most prestigious academy her parents could get their hands on, and like her parents she quickly took to academics and sciences. Namely, Biology, anatomy, and other such pursuits. Much of her childhood spent growing up, she wanted to become a doctor. Unfortunately, it seemed she wouldn't live to see her accomplish such goals.
When Meredith was 14, she was diagnosed with cancer. Try as her parents and doctors might, they couldn't get rid of it and she was given about half a year to live. Well, she'd make the best of it in her usual manner. For the next seven months or so, Meredith spent her time doing whatever it was a fourteen year old could. Her parents took as much time off from work as they could and instead decided to travel with their daughter. Was the right thing to do, after all.
On the dawn of her supposed final week to live, something odd happened. Her health started getting better. Completely surprised at first, but it was a welcome. There was also a huge increase to her appetite. The doctors couldn't explain it, at first. It seemed over night she had just simply gotten 'better'. The cancerous cells and any tumors were gone. Completely.
A few days later, her abilities started manifesting. Needless to say the doctors were at first rather horrified when they found a mass of fleshy tendrils where Meredith had once been. And needless to say, the government had also been alerted to her new abilities. She spent the next three years in her parents care, with constant visits from government suit types until eventually she was enrolled in Palladium. Apparently, she was an extremely late bloomer as far as abilities go.
Other Skills:
- Cooking. Surprisingly. - Biology, Sciences, and Maths. - Video Games - Multitasking - Dissection
Power Set
Name:
Self-Biomass Manipulation
Abilities:
To put simply, Meredith has the ability to manipulate every part of her body via her abilities. Grow limbs, change her genetic structure, increase muscle mass to body-builder levels, and heal even the most fatal of wounds. Healing even works whilst she is unconscious. She could even consciously scrub her blood clean of any harmful chemicals and at any given time she can be extremely aware of whatever is happening within her own body after a moment or so of inspection.
How this works, is fairly simple. She creates the extra resources via stored 'Bio Energy' she gains from 'assimilating' organic material. She can literally digest anything, so long it is organic in nature. Plants, animals - anything so long as it is fleshy or organic. She can even filter out poisons and toxins while doing so, granted she'd have to be aware that it was poisonous to do it.
She basically super charges the bodies natural rate of making these substances and modifies her body to account for the mutations. Perfect, Healthy, extra organs are also possible.
Weaknesses:
well, for one extreme pain is a huge consideration. Granted after years of practice she can ignore it fairly easily but its always a bit of a deterrence to any large modification.
Secondly, Fire tends to work very well against fleshy targets, even those with impressive regenerative abilities. While she can buffer herself against fire by increasing the amount of carbon in her body in whatever area facing the fire, it should be noted that this process would be quite inefficient in an already inefficient system.
Acidic substances of any kind tend to also work fairly well.
By far what is the biggest drawback is though, is the sheer amount of energy and inefficient exchange rate it takes for her to use her abilities. Once she's started using her abilities, she can only make a limited number of alterations before she's completely exhausted and would need to eat something to restore her energy. Any changes of course, are permanent and once done they cost nothing but they can cost massive amounts of energy to get there. This also poses the problem of her becoming stuck in a certain form until she is able to replenish her energy - which could cause problems in and of itself.
There perhaps, could be a way to make this process more efficient but as of now she's had no luck modifying her body in a way that could help with this problem.
Also her clothes will likely tear easily and may become victims since they will likely be made out of organic material for a quick little snack if she has too.

Basic Information
Appearance:
In a word? Looks like a total stoner. Halsey stands at a fairly average five foot seven with sharp black hair, typically dressed in a loose fitting jacket, baggy pants and t-shirt. The older teenager has a somewhat larger, and it's clear she takes care of her body aside from her obvious smoking habits. She can typically be seen with some headphones around her neck blasting some metal or other rock music. Surprisingly, she is fairly athletic and could give most people a run for their money in any athletic and sports department.
Some comment she looks older than she is, much to her chagrin.
Personality:
- Friendly - Lackadaisical - laid back - Athletic - Likes sports - Can't say no to a good challenge - Likes avocados - Fairly determined once she sets her mind on something. - Observant - Doesn't like overly complicated things
Backstory:
Halsey doesn't particularly talk much about her history, if only because it's about as boring as boring can come. She grew up in a country home out in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma. Big place, not a lot of people and waaaaay too much free time growing up. Got into a lot of trouble as a teenager - a lot in part thanks to her rather troublesome ability. At the age of seven, is when her ability started manifesting and became noticed when she melted the way through the bathtub while she was taking a bath.
The government quickly became aware of it, and of course kept a close eye on her and her abilities. Her life continued with them making sure he didn't harm himself or anyone else with his abilities, and after much deliberation, complaining, a few incidents at normal school and even a threat or two they finally got her to attend Palladium much to her dismay.
Yeah, she's not looking forward to being here.

- Hand-to-hand combat. Boxing and restraining foes usually. - Slacking - ignoring people
Power Set
Name:
Acid Generation
Abilities:
Halsey, has the ability to generate an acidic substances from her skin, but unfortunately has no fine control over it. The acid is fairly strong, being able to eat through iron in a number of seconds, and steel in about half a minute. Other materials may take awhile depending on how strong and durable their chemical composition is.
Combined with its potency and her ability with hand-to-hand combat its a fairly useful ability if used creatively in close quarters.
Weaknesses:
Despite being a fairly good ability in close range, at long range it's...well, fairly useless. At best she can just 'throw' the acid about a yard away from him by forcefully expelling it in some manner.
When faced with large amounts of non-acidic liquid, it will dilute the acid to safer levels.
Not really that good defensively speaking. At least yet.
Will eat through clothing in a matter of seconds, also much to her chagrin.

Profile:Student
Name:
Amelia Von Schultz
Age:
17
Gender:
Female
Basic Information
Appearance:
With long black hair and standing at a tall five foot eight with an amber colored eye, Amelia carries herself with a high degree of grace and poise expected of her 'pedigree' as her family calls it. She takes great pride in both her appearance and how she carries herself, and most of the time it shows. She typically dresses in a modern black imperialistic military uniform, and often carries around a similar matching hat. At her side is a belt where her sword is kept, and she has a cloak she usually wears for more appearance purposes.
Of course, the thing most people seem to notice mostly, is the eyepatch she wears over her left eye. Under it, is where her 'Conduit' is located.
Personality:
-Studious -Serious -No Nonsense -Orderly -Forceful -Terrified of failure -tends to be rather hard on herself. -Likes to...'trick people' with her abilities. -Somewhat Paranoid, and surprisingly easy to startle though its difficult to tell most of the time.
Serious, no nonsense, and for the most part Amelia is a heavy stickler for rules, order, and peace, and doesn't care what methods are used to achieve those things. She takes studies, school, and anything she does with a serious attitude that doesn't tolerate failure of any kind. When generally relaxing or otherwise not doing anything important, one would find her to be much more amicable and a bit more open.
Backstory:
Amelia's history is a bit of an odd one. She didn't exactly what most would consider to be a 'Normal' childhood. While it was far from terrible, it was by no means perfect. Amelia's Grandfather, is by all means an old man too set in his ways and is stuck in the past, trying to cling to old glory and power, which colored many of his actions when raising children. The old man was once a general in Nazi Germany, when the first of the super powers became discovered by the public. Needless to say, he's more than a little...eccentric in both his beliefs, only being kept alive so long by his own abilities.
Growing up though, she was always a black sheep of the family. Her grandfather had the view that those with superpowers were humanities future. Unlike her two brothers and sister though, she didn't have any super powers, and was quickly left to her own devices growing up. For Amelia, this was a crushing development. She wanted nothing more than to impress and be acknowledged, but because of her lack of abilities, she wouldn't be able too.
So she thought she'd impress in other ways. Academics, marksmanship, fencing, and otherwise generally attempting everything she could to make up for her shortcomings. Eventually though, her grandfather sent her away at the age of fourteen to study abroad in Greece, the states, and other various areas. Still, she hoped that at least one day she'd be good enough to at least be something other than considered to be a 'failure'. It was then a family friend mentioned something called 'Conduits' to her. Intrigued, she decided to press him and dig around for more information regarding these objects. He was a collector of sorts - and some time ago during an excavation of an ancient tomb in greece they stumbled across an artifact of some sort that they had no knowledge of - he offered to let her have it.
Of course, as incredulous as she was about it at the time, she quickly accepted regardless. So she attained the eye, losing her natural eye in the process. After returning home, she expected to be greeted with some amount of respect...but it didn't seem much had changed, and eventually she was told to attend Palladium. She made quite a bit of a name for herself after the first year there, becoming rank three after the first year trials, and becoming head of the student disciplinary committee.
Other Skills:
-Trained marksman with small arms - Trained with traditional swordsmanship and fencing - trained in most academic fields, and fairly athletic - Multilingual, and speaks a variety of languages.
Power Set
Name:
Eye of Timore: Fear Empowerment, Constructs, and illusions
Abilities:
Amelia's Conduit allows her to both empower herself through the emotion known as 'fear' - from others or herself - as well as create a variety of semi-solid constructs with them, as well as induce fear into others via hallucinations. The conduit takes the place of her left eye, and the sclera is completely black with a blue pupil that shines slightly.
As far as the physical abilities go, increased perception, strength, reaction time, agility, etc. Typical things such as that, as well as the ability to keep fighting despite sever injuries as long as the limb isn't completely mangled or she's dealt a clearly fatal blow.
As for the 'constructs', she is able to form this 'Emotional Energy' into solid states to create a variety of different items with properties similar to their actual counterparts.
Lastly, She is able to induce small scale hallucinations in others via the same energy. She is able to make one imagine an object is something that would absolutely terrify them. A scrap of paper could appear as a spider to someone with arachnophobia. During combat scenarios, the effects can differ. Someone with fear of water or drowning, might find the environment suddenly turning into a pool of water, with them at the bottom of it. The effects of these illusions are nigh absolute - and while one could be very aware that one is inside of an illusion of some sort, breaking free of it would be easier said than done, regardless - especially since your entire body is being tricked into thinking the events are real.
She can store a limited amount of this energy for usage, but its much more powerful if she's making use of it on site.
Weaknesses:
The most obvious downside to her abilities, is that they must feed off of fear in some capacity. Whether they be hers, her opponents, or innocent by standards. In a total chaos situation she could be incredibly powerful indeed, but in a more peaceful and less chaotic situation one might find her abilities are a bit less effective than potentially possible.
Secondly, the constructs must be of real things and are only temporary. Chains, a brick wall to deflect an attack. The strength of course, depends mostly on the willpower of the user and how much 'fear' they have absorbed and how 'fearful' they currently are. An illusory brick wall would be stronger the more fear the user is currently feeling - or rather, how in fear of their lives they are.
The illusions, are only that - illusions. Against the average person they would be fairly incredibly powerful, and those of similar minds to Amelia. Against those with more intelligent, alien, or otherwise just stronger minds in general would find the abilities to be much less capturing. They also do not cause any direct physical damage - they simply overload the brain itself with the idea that its dead, defeated, and tricks the body into thinking it can't actually move.
Currently the illusions show depend on the person affected, and she currently has no control over what is shown.
The owner of the eye, is also plagued by constant nightmares for the sake of fueling the eye's own power, usually resulting in many sleepless nights, or nights where sleep is difficult. The owner constantly feels uneasy and fearful, to the point of paranoia sometimes. Amelia has a good grasp and level head about it, usually, but at times she might have trouble controlling herself. Fear of any kind is a powerful motivator, as well as a defense mechanism.
Other:
-Head of the Disciplinary committee -Created and is the current leader of the Fencing Club bondage
Profile :Staff
Name:
Katherine Sinclair. 'Kat' to the students and other staff.
Age:
47
Gender:
Female
Basic Information
Appearance:
The first thing most people would notice, is the high-tech eyepatch and scarring over her left eye. (She proudly comments she lost it in a knife fight). The next, is the short cut black hair hair and dull bluish-grey eyes are the things people would notice about her. Standing roughly at five foot seven with a somewhat large frame and rather athletic build she can come off as a bit intimidating to some people. Her snarky attitude doesn't help either. Typically she wears very casual suits and pants, often time wearing them very loosely.
Kat, has incredibly defined muscles that old age and her smoking and drinking habits don't seem to bother too much. Even at her old age, she prides herself in maintaining top-physical condition.
Personality:
-Tough -Friendly -Talkative -Easily annoyed -Don't take shit from no one
Kat easily falls under the 'cool teacher that don't give a shit about the curriculum'. That's not saying she doesn't care about her students and doesn't teach 'em or give them counsel if they need it, she just doesn't like sticking to the more conventional methods. She cares for her students, and likes to try and guide them - to stop them from making the same fuck ups she did in her youth.
Backstory:
History? What history? Kat's history is buried under miles and miles of redacted files, misinformation, government coverups and outright lies. She's an old girl with a rather...colorful history. She's been on both sides of the law, and is legally unable to talk about any side of it.
Her most consistent history though, can be found when she was officially given civilian status at the age of 30, which is also when she was married and retired from any sort of shenanigans. What most people know is that she is currently still happily married, has a daughter with abilities, though for various reasons Kat herself doesn't talk about, doesn't attend Palladium. She currently works as a Counselor as well as Evaluator for the students.
There are rumors that she's not completely retired though, and that she's at the school for some reason.
Other Skills:
-Close Quarters Combat, namely boxing. -How to maintain, handle, and use most firearms -Strategic planning -Makes a delicious pasta.
Specialization:
Student Evaluation proctor, and Counselor
Power Set
Name:
Aegis Barrier - Force field Generation
Abilities:
Kat has the ability to make, and manipulate localized force fields and barriers. She most often employs this by keeping what someone might refer to as a 'shield' around herself almost at all times that can effectively absorb most physical and projectile attacks up to a threshold. And while it's no means impenetrable, it can easily provide quite a bit of protection from most projectiles.
The force fields can come in many shape and sizes, though most often she prefers making them sphere or square shaped and can be used for more than just defensive purposes. Slamming a large one into an enemy at high speeds tends to hurt. Not to mention trapping, and slowly crushing something to death inside of one. Her favorite though, is using them like bullets themselves.
Of course, they can be used traditionally for defense, if she has to, though it's not her preference, even if it's what she's probably most skilled at using them for.
Most often, they appear clear, turning a dark blue color near the edges.
She can use them to also increase the physical strength of her blows, if needed since she's technically hitting you with a force field, as well as make herself appear super-human strong at times.
Weaknesses:
The only real hard limit on Kat's abilities, is their weight limit and range. They can only lift up to around 1-ton of weight and exert a similar amount of force when used offensively. When used defensively, their strength varies on size as well as Kat's own physical fatigue and abilities. The barriers have a max range of around five yards in a circle using Kat as the center in any direction.
Other:
- Has a daughter -Is married -Yes, drink and smokes enough to kill a small animal -often comes to her job with a hangover -Will sometimes suplex things, just because she can.
Maria is definitely Spanish from the very first look you give her. Her thick accent (which is questionable whether or not it's forced or not) isn't the only thing that gives it away. She has Mexican facial features, and her skin is a darker shade of brown. She walks with an air of confidence... even though she is short. Like four-eleven. One thing that she gets from her Mexican heritage is the fact that she's short. Consistent with Mexican people. When other girls stand alongside Maria, even average heighted girls look massive compared to her.
She gives off an aura of confidence... and indifference. She usually has a blank look on her face as if she's bored, unless you manage to get a chuckle out of her. Or even anger. This makes it look as if she's unapproachable, or even bitchy. But, this is far away from the truth. Maria's emotion changes are quick, and hard to notice even if you blink. This leads into her confident disposition that helps Maria stay calm even in the worst situations. Lets her stare down a killer, and let's her lead people to success.
She's also very stylish in her manner of dress. Wearing all the name brands you've probably seen before.
Personality:
> Confident.
> Calm. > Aggressive. > Has resting Bitch Face. > Arrogant. > A bit of a control freak. > Caring. > Kind.
Backstory:
Maria was born in Mexico, but when she was around five, her father got a job in America and her family moved there. It was a bit of a hard adjustment to make for the girl, but she made due. It came easier for her than her family since she basically grew up in America. But, as she grew up, she made the transition from a sweet kid to something else. When her good looks developed, she fell into the crowd of popular girls very quickly. And she quickly developed an attitude like no other, but at the same time, she retained the morals presented by her parents.
However, things changed once, while going to a party, she got into a car accident with some friends. It was a nasty accident that left her best friend, Lucia, dead. But, it caused something inside of her to awaken. The ability to duplicate herself. She was pinned by a chunk of metal, but a clone of herself manifested from her body. Not only was it not pinned down, but it was completely fine. The clone went to get help, but it quickly merged back with Maria before anyone asked any questions.
She was rushed to the hospital where she was going to recover, but Maria was approached by a member of ATLAS when she was just about recovered. They told her that witness accounts revealed that she was a superhuman. Then, they invited her to the Academy... which Maria accepted.
Other Skills:
> Can speak spanish. > Stays calm in even the worst situations. > Soccer. > Excellent people skills.
Power Set
Name:
Self-Duplication.
Abilities:
At will, Maria can create an identical duplication of herself, up to give. They're somewhat independent, or even somewhat intelligent. Maria has a telepathic link with each of the clones, and can order them to do whatever she pleases. From there, the clones possess enough intelligence to carry out her orders, and she has the ability to see through their eyes (and even communicate through them). Of course, to compensate, Maria has a bit of extra brainpower, but only when she activates her ability. They possess the same amount of strength as Maria, too. So, they basically can do whatever she can do. It's impossible to distinguish the clones from the original as they are the same on every level. Maria can also copy what the clones are holding (which is why the clones aren't naked when she creates them). When she is finished with them, she can reabsorb them back into her body. Eventually, Maria will be able to create more clones, regenerate through them, and swap consciousness with another clone.
Weaknesses:
There are quite a few drawbacks to her ability. For starters, they all feel the same things. Which means all the clones feel pain. If one gets brutally killed, each of the clones, and Maria, will get the same feeling. It could even knock Maria out if the pain is intense enough. While a clone dying won't kill Maria, it'll definitely send her a severe backlash that'll bring her to her knees. Not something she can consecutively do without passing out. The more clones that Maria creates, the harder it'll be to keep track of all of them. It'll cause Maria to expend so much mental power that she'll find it difficult to control them all, and make complex tastes difficult.
Galen has white hair and brilliant blue eyes, but his features are otherwise plain. His jawline is undefined, his nose slightly larger than average, and his eyebrows bushy and prominent. Galen cares very little for his appearance, and as such is usually in a state of disarray. His hair is kept short so he generally doesn't have to bother with it, but when it grows out a bit it is constantly messy. Galen is fit, but not body-builder fit... more strength than show. He dislikes form-fitting clothing, but isn't terribly concerned with covering his upper body either. When given the choice, he usually wears a loose-fitting tank top and jeans or cargo pants. The only downside to this is that it allows people to see the scars that cover his arms (and the rest of his body) from various wounds he has healed.
Galen doesn't care much about himself. Even though there is no proof of where superpowers come from, he firmly believes that his was given to him for a purpose-to help others. Of course, since helping others means hurting himself, his ideology couldn't survive if he considered his own life above others. So he doesn't. As far as he is concerned, he was made to serve and to help. Galen believes in the best in people, and is therefore somewhat naive. He is trusting to a fault- one of his biggest flaws. Another is that his disregard for himself leaves little room for self-reflection, and he often doesn't realize the recklessness of his actions or the emotional or physical toll he will have to deal with based on his decisions.
Backstory:
Galen Ryker was the first in his family to have superpowers. Actually, he was the first in his entire town. Not that that was all that impressive, considering the town consisted of only a couple hundred people. After discovering his healing ability at age 7, his parents were thrilled. That is, until they saw him heal another person. The self-harming aspect of his powers scared them, and they forbade him from using it. But Galen had other plans. As he approached his teenage years, he began to rebel against his parents' ruling, claiming they "just didn't understand." He had these abilities for a reason, and he intended to use them. His idealism drove him to desire life as a hero. He started sneaking out and visiting local hospitals, clinics... even animal shelters. Unused to the pain at first, these visits would leave him incapacitated. Yet he kept going. At first his parents tried to stop him, but that only made him more determined. When he healed a fatal wound and nearly died (the only time he's managed to control the extent of his power) he was put into a coma for nearly 3 years. He wanted to start working instead of going to school, since he would now be so much older than any of the the first-year students at a normal school. A few months after he awoke, a nurse from the hospital he was in showed up at his door, claiming to be from an organization for superpowered people. She said she had seen him sneaking in to heal the patients (much to his embarrassment), and offered him a place at a school for people with special abilities, provided his parents allowed it. His parents decided to send him to Palladium Academy in hopes that they would teach him not to be so reckless with his abilities.
Other Skills:
-Athletics -Singing (although getting him to do it in front of other people is near impossible) -Baloon Animals
Power Set
Name:
Recovery
Abilities:
-Sacrifice: Galen can transfer physical pain from another person to himself. Wounds have the same effect on him after the power is used that they would have had on their original recipient. He can control the extent of this power (allowing him to share and reduce pain but not entirely eliminate it while maintaining more of his own strength), but has not yet learned to do this reliably. At this point in his development, his power is still largely in the "all or nothing" stage, so healing a lethal wound is highly likely to kill him. Because of this ability, Galen's pain tolerance and self-repairing abilities are far above that of the average person. While he is by no means invulnerable, wounds obtain both physically and by transference through his Sacrifice ability heal about ten times as fast as they would on the average person. (ex.- A minor leg fracture usually results in around 8 weeks of recovery time. After breaking his leg or healing someone else's, Galen would be mobile again in 5-6 days)
Weaknesses:
-All or Nothing: At his current stage of development, Galen cannot reliably control the amount of damage he takes from the person he is healing. Therefore, it is common for him to incapacitate himself by taking on more than he can handle. This is especially dangerous with wounds that do not appear to be as bad as they are, as he doesn't fully know how painful the transference will be until it happens, and the shock can have an effect on him. -High Metabolism: Galen's regeneration may allow him to heal faster, but the accelerated healing still consumes the some amount of energy as the regular healing process would. This results in extreme fatigue and hunger if not properly tended to. In order to maintain a normal state of being, he must consume about twice the amount of food as a normal man.
He has brown, unkept hair, and brown eyes. He stands at 5"9', weighing 168 pounds. He has a skin complexion higher than average, and a slightly muscled build. He usually wears a black and red hoodie, with frayed wool from the collar, and brown pants, with black shoes.
Personality:
-Moody -Brash -Reckless -Enjoys Music -Slow to trust others
Backstory:
Samson used to be an ordinary kid living in Chicago, as the youngest of three in his family. He and his brothers played near the abandoned train tracks of his town, pretending that they were cowboys and indians. On a tragic day, the first train in years came through, while the three of them were playing. While his brothers quickly and safely dodged out of the way, he stepped out of the way too soon, and the passing train knocked his arm off. His brothers and him were already screaming in terror, but it completely surprised them when his discarded arm completely disintegrated into black and red lightning, which flowed into his fresh stump, and completely reconstructed itself. The incident ocurred when he was eight years old, and took his family by surprise, as neither of his parents were superpowered. When he was 12 years old, Samson started demonstrating reckless behaviors. No matter what he did, he would always regenerate his body. Despite the concern from his brother and family, he waltzed carelessly. It was when he snuck away one night, and stood in front of the same tracks of the train that caused him to first realize his abilities. Concerned, his younger brother followed him, and demanded he return home at once. He refused, and the two of them argued, until the train came. Samsons brother lunged, and pushed him out of the way, but he himself was collided. While he did survive, he was permanently crippled. Samson's destructive tendencies died after that. He avoided using his powers completely for years, until he received his letter to Palladium Academy. While he at first tried to ignore it, his crippled brother insist he go, to perhaps learn his powers in a more useful manor. Samson went, as a favor to him.
Other Skills:
None.
Power Set
Name:
Molecular Regeneration
Abilities:
Samson power flows through his entire body, fusing with every atom of his being. As a result, any damage done to him will turn into energy, place itself at the point of damage, and reform. The ability is visible as the damaged caused to his body turning into yellow wisps of light, that will attempt to gather back where it belongs, forging back together in a crucible of red lightning. To a certain degree, he can focus to make his body regenerate faster, including which order of damage to his body will recover first. Also, when he has several wounded areas at once, He can choose to relocate the different atoms into different locations. For example, if he were to lose a foot and an arm, he could concentrate atoms of his foot into the regeneration of his arm. The effect of his healing is most visible when he regenerates a severed limb. In terms of massive physical trauma that separates his body, it appears that the smaller portion of his body is the part that dissolves. Cutting off his head has no effect, but he will be disoriented after for a short while after regenerating from a decapitation. The way to force his regeneration to take the longest would be to slice him in half perfectly down the middle, as both parts will have to dematerialize and reform together, as neither half can recognize it as smaller than the other. Yet he doesn't have to worry about regenerating constant cells as his power doesn't work on anything below the average growth/death cell cycle.
Weaknesses:
Samson's Molecular Regeneration has it's obvious limits, however. The more damage he takes in a short period of time, the slower he takes to regenerate. It also doesn't protect him from natural body conditions, such as hunger, thirst, or suffocation. While it may keep him from taking physical harm, the process of regenerating can be exhausting. He also describes his regeneration as painful, feeling like he is being electrocuted. And while his regeneration ignores regular Cell death, it would also not provide any immunity to diseases/status's that increase the rate of cell death, such as Cancer or hair loss.

Báihuā Nǚwáng
Age:
58
Gender:
Female
Basic Information
Appearance:
Baihua is of Asian Descent, standing at 5"6', weighing 161 pounds, with short, blunt, white hair. Her eyes are a dull red. She usually wears a white jacket over a pink turtleneck sweater and a light blue long skirt, as well as light-purple shoes. She often carries around a white handbag, often containing an assortment of flowers.
Personality:
-Kind -Polite -Pacifist -Orderly
Backstory:
Baihua was born in China in 1959, shortly after the existence of supers was rapidly becoming common knowledge. Much of China was xenophobic towards superhumans, apalled by the destruction many of them were capable of. When Baihua turned 7, her powers manifested, to the distress of her parents. They attempted to flee the country in 1968, yet her parents were captured and executed, while she managed to escape to Japan, alone. Baihua lived alone for 3 years, but at 12 years old, she joined a traveling circus of Superhumans, whose powers were more flashy and exuberant than dangerous, and used their abilities to show others that not all superpowers are dangerous. She earned the nickname "Winter Lotus" while traveling with them. Tragedy struck, however, at the age of 18, when in the middle of a performance a group of radicals attacked, threatening to kill everyone unless the entire traveling show would surrender and turn themselves over. In the heat of rage, Baihua used her abilities to suffocate the ringleader with petals she was using in her performance, triggering the rest of the group to retaliate. While the radicals were defeated, in a sense they won. An entire circus full of onlookers saw first hand that even powers that seem benign can be dangerous. A week later, the circus disbanded. Baihua still lived with another member, Oni, who she saw as a father. Life went on as normal for her. At the age of 23, she became a botany teacher, married, and had a son at age 28. When she was 32, she received a letter in the mail. It was an invitation to teach at Palladium Academy, an academy for young superhumans to exercise their powers. Knowing how important it still was to teach the world that not all powers are harmful, she eagerly accepted.
Other Skills:
She has a masters in botany.
Specialization:
Botany & Power Manipulation Teacher
Power Set
Name:
Lotus Manipulation
Abilities:
Baihua can manipulate Flowers by placing her power into them. Not any plant, just plants with a part that would count as a Flower. By storing her power into her flowers, she can manipulate their growth, as well as color and shape. If she puts enough energy into a flower, it will detect anything within a certain range of them, yet she cannot visibly see, only detect the objects as they move. Even passively, flowers storing her power will grow faster, longer, and have more extravagant blossoms, as well as notifying her if they are harmed. Even if severed, the actual flower tip can be levitated and moved by her remotely, in large quantities so long as she focuses. She can even severe a flower, manipulate it, and so long as it wasn't harmed, placed it right back into place. Yet obviously, separating a flower's petal for too long will lead to the base's eventual death. She has also designed her own breeds of flowers, thanks to her ability to manipulate them. Surprisingly, her powers can be used in battle, albeit she must be prepared. One of her methods is carrying around a pouch of specially made flowers, including petals with sharp edges that function as shurikens, and the "Kissing Flower", which will latch onto the opponent and drain them of energy.
Weaknesses:
Baihu's obvious weakness is fire, which can quickly reduce any of her flowers to cinders. She herself isn't a trained fighter, meaning she prefers to fight at a distance.
Other:
-She tends to a personal garden at Palladium Academy. -She is married -Even though she's only 58, she is already a grandmother
Standing at 5'11 and weighing 170 pounds, Clyde is surprisingly muscular considering his personality. Years of weightlifting in order to develop a talent does that for ya. Clyde enjoys dressing in large, covering clothes, trying to keep himself as hidden as possible. His main outfit includes a dark blue hoodie, thick glasses, black pants, and earbuds. Typically listens to calming music in order to ease his anxiety and stress. Clyde almost always wears a baseball cap colored like an American flag with the letters "USA" emblazoned on the front, which is his only form of clothing that has bright colors. He has good posture, but hunches over when being talked to in order to look smaller.
Personality:
-Shy -Introverted -Nervous -Afraid -Follows the rules to the letter -Enjoys weightlifting -Hard time understanding things -Caring -Polite -Pushover -Quick to take the blame for things (Even if he did nothing wrong) -Neurotic -Strong moral compass
Backstory:
Clyde was brought into this world November 22nd, 2000. His mother, Jasmine Fisher, is a surgeon while his father, Chad Fisher, owned a small gun store. Clyde was a single child his entire life, and has always shown himself to be special. He is not stupid, but he has an incredibly hard time learning complex things, and has always had low grades. In fact, this is one of his biggest insecurities, and he refuses to show others his report card which is always littered with D's. Clyde has never really had a friend, always to afraid of failure to approach others and never initiating conversation. This, combined with his mousy demeanor, meant that he rarely interacts with people outside his family or those that he is forced to converse with. When Clyde entered elementary school, he realize how little he stood out. While many of the other children had some talent, like painting or music, Clyde viewed himself as lacking. A step down. He never understood there were things he was talented in (He is an amazing chef, but always insists that "It was just following the recipe", even if he didn't use one), and constantly looked at those that were more skilled in things with a mix of admiration and jealousy. Despite his odd quirks, however, Clyde had a regular childhood. That was, until, he hit puberty in his second year of middle school.
This was when he realized how he was far different from others. The other kids were thinner, more attractive, had less acne. They were simply better, and Clyde viewed their polite attitudes towards him as a cruel joke everyone was in on. Seeking to find something, anything, that made him special, he began to lift weights. He, like many other children, prayed to develop those fantastic superpowers that some youth's gained, but he never unlocked the ability. He had to turn to more mundane methods of becoming powerful. By the time he graduated middle school, he was physically superior to his classmates, if not the entire student body. However, he still viewed himself critically, if not more so than he used to - he wasn't good enough. Even after training for two years, what could he do? Lift heavy objects? Clyde never thought that he could learn a skill by simply training it, believing that he was simply too inept to learn a difficult skill. Throughout his middle school career, his grades remained terrible, but his parents didn't mind. They were extremely supportive of their only child, and only wanted him to try his best. For graduating middle school, Clyde's father gave him a pistol from the old shop and began to teach him proper firearm etiquette, hoping Clyde would inherit the store. Clyde soon gave up, learning to be happy with what he had. Sure, he wasn't special, but he had a strong body and he wasn't bad at cooking. Besides, he had a loving family and a job to look forwards to after graduating. All in all, life could be a hell of a lot worse.
Clyde was now a junior in High school, had several acquaintances, bought a car that he loved, and even had a job at his dad's store loading magazines and moving stock. Clyde was happy, enjoyed playing video games and caring for his garden, and had a very fulfilling life compared to other kids. 2 weeks ago, Clyde's life completely changed. It was the middle of the night when he woke up, needing to take a piss. Groggily, he rose out of bed, and did the deed. However, on his way back, he saw a light flash by his bedroom window, and heard the sound of something crashing into the ground. Quickly rushing downstairs and putting on his robe, Clyde left his home, only to see what appeared to be a meteorite in his back yard. Astounded, Clyde briefly considered awakening his parents, before realizing that the rock was gyrating slightly. Investigating, Clyde noted that the meteor was almost featureless; just a large, circular rock with a hole on the side. Sweating nervously, Clyde reached into the hole, and upon feeling the warm sensation of flesh, immediately retracted his hand, horrified to realize that whatever was warm was attached to his hand. He closed his eyes as his hand popped out of the hole, preparing for his death...
A minute had passed, and Clyde's heartbeat had finally settled to a thunderous machine gun. Opening his eyes slowly, Clyde turned to the ground to see the warm sensation; a completely ordinary looking Smartphone. Picking up the phone, and realizing that this must have been a prank, Clyde angrily pressed the power button, only to have his hand pricked on some type of razor, blood squirting on the phone. Clyde swore slightly in pain, before the screen lit up, displaying white text on a black background with cartoonish stars occasionally appearing around the text:
Congratulations New User! You Are The Lucky Individual That Has Discovered The Smartphone! This Creature Device Will Give You Great Power, As Long As You Care For It! Please Look At The Instruction Manual Enclosed!
Bewildered, Clyde followed the commands of the strange pop-up, finding a text document simply titled "Instructions". Upon opening it, the document opened to reveal simple white text, explaining that he was a "Lucky Individual" and how to "Care For His Gift". It included commands to give the phone electricity, blood, and to avoid taking pictures of things you care about. Still believing this to be a stupid prank, Clyde exited out of the program, only to find a new one, which wasn't there before. It was simply entitled "Devour". Opening it, impressed with the effort someone put in to scare him, all that seemed to happen was the camera being activated. Clyde, smirking at the simple name change, took a picture of a metal pipe lying on the ground, left over from when the Fisher's had their plumbing fixed. Immediately, black tendrils spewed out of the camera and Clyde dropped the phone in shock. Finally realizing this wasn't a joke, and praying he didn't have a heart attack tonight, he gently picked up the phone to see that the home screen had returned, with another application, simply entitled "Pipe". Clyde, with fear in his heart, pressed the icon, only to have the phone expand in his hand, growing to 2 feet in length and taking on a black tint, looking nearly identical to the pipe that had just been consumed. Realizing that this was the "Power" described in the beginning, Clyde felt an emotion he hadn't felt in a long time, something he thought he would never feel.
Pride. Clyde was special. He had a power, just like the heroes on the news.
The sun had begun to rise, and Clyde, almost instinctively, imagined the phone in it's original state. It quickly shrank, and returned to being a warm hunk of metal and glass in his hands. He immediately awoke his parents, who were shocked and amazed, and they immediately tried to figure out what to do. Turning to the internet, the Fisher family discovered the company ATLAS, an organization that strives to educate and train youths with supernatural abilities. Clyde almost laughed, realizing that this could be used to describe him now! His parents contacted the organization, and by the end of the next day, an agent had verified the phones supernatural nature, and Clyde was offered to join Palladium Academy. With confidence in his voice, he agreed. The agent left, saying he had 2 weeks to prepare and pack his bags. Clyde quickly packed his bags, assimilating the things he found too large or too dangerous for a school environment (His car and Pistol), being prepared to leave 3 days in advance. On the day he was meant to leave for the academy, Clyde left for the Tram, bags in hand. He was still shy and nervous, but it was clear he had changed; he was more confident, believed in himself... Or, more accurately, believed in his phone.

-Firearm use and maintenance -Cooking -Athletic
Power Set
Name:
Conduit: Item Assimilation
Abilities:
Through the use of the mysterious Smartphone that he bought, Clyde is capable of taking a picture of any item, consuming it into the phone. Black tendrils simply explode out of the camera, dragging the item in with the force so extreme that it would require someone with force beyond peak human abilities (Telekinesis, Super Strength, etc., or technology all apply). Tendrils are made of a flesh-like material, move at roughly 10 miles an hour, and are extremely resistant to blunt damage. This absorption does not add any weight or mass to the phone, but the item must be at least 75% non-organic, and it cannot assimilate other conduits. Upon assimilation, the phone will upgrade itself, utilizing any hardware the consumed item possessed and retaining all the files on the device. If the item that has been assimilated cannot be integrated properly into a smartphone, the phone will get an app that is named after whatever item is consumed ("Car", "Gun", etc.). Upon tapping this application, the Smartphone will transform into whatever the item that was consumed, but different in appearance. Any item generated will have the same structure as the original, but will be jet black, appears bio-mechanical, and is warm to the touch. Other than this, the item will behave like it is supposed to, and it can be reverted back into The Smartphone with a thought.
The phone will only work for Clyde, most likely because he was the one who found it. If anyone tries to use it, even for it's mundane functions, it simply shuts down. Assimilating an item can take anywhere between 30 seconds, to nigh instantly depending on the size of the object. There are three separate batteries for electricity, blood, and sanity. The phone has infinite memory and RAM. The phone drains it's batteries at a constant rate, not increasing with more use, and any item that has fuel or ammunition has an infinite amount, but it can not be removed from the item. The Smartphone is significantly stronger than an average phone, and will regenerate damage with time.
Items that have been assimilated: A Lincoln Mark VIII, a Sig P320 Compact pistol, and a metal pipe.
Weaknesses:
The smartphone requires several forms of energy in order to charge itself. Electricity is needed to keep the display and mechanical portions active, Clyde's blood (has to be his) is needed to feed the hidden biological insides, and Sanity is needed to keep it docile and sentient. It needs to charge for 4 hours a day (until it assimilates a more electricity-efficient phone), must feed on 5oz of blood a week, and must feed on a portion of Clyde's sanity once a month, which is taken in the form of dreams. This also means that Clyde will be horribly on edge and paranoid for a day or two after the nightmare. The smartphone will occasionally devour items on it's own, if it views them as something that will help it survive, but only if it believes it can get away with it and it does not have a variation of said item.
The phone itself is sentient, and will make it's desires known. Clyde may not know it, but the phone will do everything in it's power in order to survive, even if it means harming Clyde. The Smartphone will never kill him, but it can easily scare him to avoid doing something, and is more than willing to kill others if it finds a way to do it on it's own. Essentially, it is the Id taken to an extreme.
The Smartphone must stay within 20 feet of Clyde, or else he will feel crippling pain that prevents him from doing anything other than retrieving the phone. This pain, given about 30 minutes to an hour, would kill him. Additionally, it is susceptible to both technological and biological manipulation, unless the manipulation cannot affect conduits or cannot affect alien technology/physiology. The tendrils, while being resistant to blunt damage, are relatively weak to slicing/piercing, and can be cut as easy as it would be to slice off a finger or toe. Finally, the tendrils are incapable of directly harming organic material, making the "Devour" function useless in combat.
The phone is incapable of absorbing anything larger than a tank (This is more of a limitation rather than a weakness).
Other:

Died at the age of 32, appears 11 years of age, is actually 42
Gender:
Female
Basic Information
Appearance:
Margaret has reversed in her age since her death and now looks considerably younger than when she passed. In fact, she has regressed to the point where she looks like a pre-teen girl and if it wasn’t for the bleached, raggedy hair and pale, sickly skin one might confuse her for a girl. Her uniform just boils down to whatever she can find that fits. She barely reaches four foot and weighs about seventy pounds. Scarring tissue remains for around 24 hours around the areas where she morphs her body.
Margaret Haefield was one of the greatest minds in the modern era for neuropathic studies. It was her work that managed to propel modern medicine into a new era as some other leading experts called it and her work was used to fight and cure many neurological diseases. She was also a valued consultant on the study of the Superpowered Gene, despite appearing without the Superpowered Gene herself. However her passion was an obsession and it was noted that her labor intensive practices constantly put her health at risk as she often forewent food and sleep. The drive for her relentless study was her goal to resuscitate her husband, Emil, who may very well be in a coma for the rest of his life.
About two years ago, Margaret was working on a unique project that was supposed to stimulate the brain to increase human tissue regrowth, attempting to borrow a regeneration trait from a Superpowered donor. The end goal was to eventually be able to allow humans to cheat neuropathic death through medicine, but the project was doomed from the start. Various setbacks and conditions of red-tape had stagnated the project to the point where eventually Margaret was given a week to succeed or the whole thing would be canceled. Seeing as this project was also her vegetable of a husband’s last chance, she was dedicated to seeing her project through.
In the end the project was a failure but not due to the deadline. The project ended two days before then as Margaret had exposed herself to the mutagen and her body underwent violent stress before she eventually passed away. Many believed she accidentally made a mistake in her sleep deprivation and exposed herself but others support that she purposely exposed herself out of desperation. Whatever the case, she had been exposed and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body hauled away and the whole project terminated. Her husband remained in a comatose state but on the official records, passed away and was incinerated.
Her death was officially ten years ago. As it turns out, Margaret did have the Superpower gene but due to the peculiar reason, it only manifested post-mortem. Margaret ended up coming back alive but at this point she was no longer the same old Margaret. After being dead for years, she reversed in age and her mental processes has decayed to odd, almost demented levels. Although the vessel has changed, Margaret is still underneath all that flesh and her good academic nature is preserved, though distorted.
When Margaret reemerged from her grave, she sought out old contacts and was eventually lead to a position at Palladium Academy. She went through exhaustive interviews and test to make sure she was considered 'safe' to be there and as an offer, she suggested that she teach at the Academy in her field of expertise. An agreement was struck but so long as Margaret agreed to careful restrictions.
Other Skills:
Masters in Neurology, highly acclaimed neurosurgeon
Specialization:
Anatomy & Physiological Powers Teacher
Power Set
Name:
Ghoulish Physique
Abilities:
Margaret's gene only activated after her death finding a trigger to manifest once her body officially shut down. The result was a complete physiological overhaul. Her body rapidly recovers wounds, disease, poison, and so forth. That’s not to say she isn’t affected by such things, quite the contrary, as Margaret feels every bit of it. Recovery for injuries can occur within minutes but can take up to 24 hours depending upon the amount and severity of injury sustained. During periods of recovery, Margaret is often noted as lethargic and tired as her regeneration saps her physical strength. Recovery for severe injuries can reduce Margaret to a sickly comatose state for a time period as her body works intensely to recover the damage done. It should also be noted that any foreign material, like shards of bullets, will have to be removed. Her regeneration has also had the uncanny effect of reversing her aging so she has reverted to appearing much younger than what she actually is.
Bodily Manipulation works in tandem with Margaret’s regeneration ability and her regeneration is crucial to her survival if she were to use her Bodily Manipulation power on herself. This power manifests itself as her being able to consciously control the formation of her own biological material. The result is that Margaret is capable of morphing her body into a weapon of bone and flesh. For example, she could manipulate the structure of her arm to form a crude blade made from her bones or she could sprout two bony fangs from her mouth. As you can imagine, her power is quite… repugnant to many.
There is an interesting interaction that happens between these of these powers. Namely, Margaret’s own conscious changes to her body will not be undone by her more unconscious regeneration, but rather, it will assist in the process greatly. As you can imagine, altering someone’s body in such a way would cause all sorts of problems like bleeding out, shock to the system and so on. However with Margaret’s regeneration, her body can readily adapt to those extreme changes without the negative impact. The only exception is that the process is still quite painful as nerves twist and turn along with the rest of her body. But the payoff from this power can be huge.
There are also some other creative strategies that Margaret utilizes. She learned that she could remove sections of her brain and plant that into a fresh human corpse in order to control the living dead. Essentially real zombies, right down to the slow shuffling feet and the need to eat living flesh. With bits of her mind implanted into those corpses, she can strategically use them for a variety of uses. A meatshield? A distraction? Or maybe a clumsy getaway driver? The possibilities are endless. Stopping them is just how you’d expect, blow out their brains.
Weaknesses:
The best strategies to take Margaret on aren’t too complex, albeit that incapacitating her is easier than killing her. She’ll still sustain damage and harm as severe wounds need time to heal. Aiming to inflict heavy damage upon Margaret could give one victory. Electricity still has an effect on Margaret and something as simple as a Taser can halt her dead in her tracks. Fire is another way to heavily impede and damage Margaret as the whole process of burning is quiet painful.
Despite his lax mannerisms and short, boyish stature of 4'10" and 78 lbs, Sigurd has a disproportionately intimidating presence due to his intense, unblinking gaze. He prefers to wear a grey hoodie with black sweats and plain sneakers, but puts on a dressy set of clothes--a white dress shirt, black vest, black pants, and polished dress shoes--whenever he goes out in public.
Personality:
- Silent - Usually expressionless - Self-confident - Falls in love easily - Stalker tendencies - Honest - Completely shameless
Backstory:
With his parents often coming home late due to work, Sigurd made up for his loneliness by making as many friends as possible in school. He lived a fairly normal life up until his powers began manifesting at about 8 years old. Having a high fever and nausea because of the sudden sharpness of his senses, he was left bedridden for a day. However, with his perception accelerated to a monstrous degree, it was stretched out for what felt like well over 2 months.
Even after Sigurd got used to his powers, the utter loneliness he experienced had a lasting effect on him, causing him to have panic attacks whenever he was alone and developing his stalker tendencies. Technology, something he had very little interest in before, was now a treasure trove of things to do and learn, and allowed him to constantly watch and listen to all of his friends--he didn't feel lonely anymore.
Seeing their son have panic attacks from being alone, Sigurd’s parents had hesitated to call ATLAS. But, now, having shut himself inside his room, they hoped to bring him back out into the world. Sigurd only complied because they had told him that it was for his own good; he was happy to feel loved, and wanted to make up for worrying them.
Other Skills:
Photographic memory Household chores(cooking, cleaning, etc.) Can read books in under an hour Good with numbers and technology
Power Set
Name:
Monstrous Perception
Abilities:
Sigurd perceives everything in slow motion; he moves with an incredible degree of precision and has much more time to notice things, to the point where it's virtually instant.
His senses, while not superior to those of a normal person’s, have become fine-tuned to pick up on the smallest details. This has allowed him to optimize his breathing and movements, eliminating as much wasted energy as possible.
He can learn, if not improve upon almost anything as long as he understands the principles behind it.
Weaknesses:
Because of his constant awareness, Sigurd gets nauseous if there's too much going on at the same time. Although he can pay attention to much more than a normal person, trying to track every sound and conversation in a room would make him sick in less than a minute.
He also gets mentally exhausted extremely quickly, often having to switch to a half-asleep “power saving” mode or “recharge”(see: is a stalker) in order to make it through the day.
Physically, Sigurd is the same as any normal person. He cannot copy anything that a normal human could not do, such as feats of super strength or the supernatural. He also may not be able to react to something if it's too fast, even if he can notice it.
Appearance: She looks a bit younger than 14, but she's hoping that soon she'll grow out of her scrawny limbs and round cheeks. She also a bit shorter than she'd like, standing at 5'1". Marabel has a very thin look to her, much like her mother did. Despite that, she's soon to hit a growth spurt. She has dreadlocks that are lightened at the end, and often pulled into low buns by scrunchies. She likes to pull a couple across her forehead because she believes her forehead is too large.
Marabel always has a far-off look in her eyes, unfocussed and shifty. She was born with withdraws from her mother's heroin addiction, then a lifetime of physical pain altered her neutral expression to look slightly haunted. She's missing a canine tooth, knocked out in the recent years.
Despite her super power, she has no scars on her body, as her wounds tend to heal rather seamlessly, even if it takes a while.
Marabel prefers to dress in warm colors, in mismatched and clashing colors, and baggy jackets. Personality:
Marabel can be very standoffish. She is not the kindest of people, and tends to be very blunt and sometimes confrontational. She's absolutely and utterly scared of authority, and anyone she can't consider a peer. Marabel is insecure and highly self-critical, even if she doesn't show too many signs of it. Anytime something goes wrong, she will often silently blame herself for any wrongdoings, be it her own or that of other people. She can be violent when provoked, without knowing much how to talk it out.
Backstory: In zone 6 of Atlanta, GA, more specifically, Bouldercrest RD, a baby is born, screaming and crying and shaking with an addiction passed to her without her permission, and Lyme Disease threatening her newborn life. Child of two non-superpowered parents, who happened to be junkies, Marabel 'Marble' Johnson was often unsupervised, and left to fend to herself. She even took to taking care of her parents, more specifically, her mother who she cared for more than her father.
She first discovered she had superpowers in preschool. The teacher had made a comment about her 'ratty' hair, so in response, Marabel simply glared at her and clenched her fist so tightly that she drew blood. Surprised by the teacher's sharp cry of pain, Marabel looked to her own hands to find her palms free of wound, despite a terrible pain there from where her nails had bit into her skin. Her teacher however, was bleeding deeply where tiny child's nails.
Since that point on, she used her powers for less than good reasons until she got arrested by a task force meant to contain super-powered individuals. She was 8 when she was arrested. She managed to get a rather short sentence of 2 years, despite maliciously wounding a reported 39 people. She has not changed much, but she tends not to use her powers as flamboyantly as she did before.
A few short months after that, her parents died of mysterious wounds. Though there is no evidence of Marabel having caused their deaths, those who knew she was a super blamed her and even broke into her house with intent to harm her. Luckily, she hadn't been home at the time, she had been in the custody of a social worker. After that incident, it was decided by Marabel's case worker that she would need to attend a school that could teach her how to not only handle her powers, but could hopefully improve her attitude and violent tendencies.
Though it is something of speculation, Marabel believes her parents died never knowing of her super powers, though she does not believe they would have acted on the knowledge, nor spend time, money, or effort to get her a proper education on her own super powers.
Other Skills: - Lockpicking (she often doesn't, but she would occasionally come home to a locked door, since her parents would get high and forget to keep it unlocked for her, so she picked up this skill rather quickly after the first few times of sleeping outside of the door) - Drawing (she isn't incredibly good, but she loves to draw, and improves often) - Whistling (she's very good at whistling tunes, and takes great pride in it)
Power Set
Name: Human Voodoo Doll
Abilities: Marabel has the ability to inflict both pain and wounds onto other people by inflicting damage to her body. When harming others, her own wounds will heal rather quickly, but that only happens if she pushes the wound onto someone else. She discovered this at a young age, and used it often and rapidly, sometimes just for fun, so she has an incredibly high pain tolerance. Anything short of 3rd degree burns can make her flinch, but wouldn't subdue her.
Weaknesses: If she cannot see her victim, she cannot hurt them. Her power relies heavily on her ability to see her victim in pain, and she is not very skilled at using her mind to visualize people. Her power also causes her whatever pain she inflicts to another, and randomly, this pain can double for herself (she has no way of knowing when this will happen, and does not know why it happens). Not to mention, should she harm herself without intent to transfer or become wounded by another, the wound will not heal until pushed off onto another person. On top of that, she's very emotional and not educated on how to handle it.
Other:
Marabel got her nickname 'Marble' from her vast collection of marbles. She likes to look at the world through them, especially the glittery or lightly tinted marbles. She imagines tiny worlds inside of them, tiny worlds that she can live in without the struggles of her own life, or her own faults.
Standing exactly at six foot two inches, Chiron has white armor with red highlights over a gunmetal gray body, with glowing umber eyes with mechanical eyelids behind his face plate to help express emotion. His appearance is always impeccably well-maintained, and he sometimes carries a satchel with him for important papers.
Personality:
-Stoic -Analytical -Unflappable -Honest -Cordial -Diplomatic -Clever -Possessing of a dry wit
Backstory:
Chiron, or CHIRON-MD-45-X as his official designation goes, was built by the company ApolloTech, a European technology firm that sought to expand into the superhero academy market. Envisioning a superhero academy staffed by robots all tied to a central AI core, ApolloTech believed that its expertise in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics would allow it to compete with the big players like ATLAS and put everything it had into the creation of an academy that would rival even Palladium in size and prestige. CHIRON-MD-45-X was built specifically to lead the medical staff, receiving new experimental upgrades and even getting its AI upgraded with a genetic scanning array that could detect innate superhuman genes in children. Things were going great for ApolloTech, so long as their grand opening of the new academy went off without a hitch, they could see themselves counted alongside ATLAS as one of the biggest superhero academies in the world.
You can guess what happened.
ApolloTech AI was certainly impressive, leagues beyond what anyone had been doing with the technology, but it was all based around a central block of coding that controlled the adaptability and learning capability of the AIs. That block of code contained a single, nearly invisible error that sat like a time bomb in every ApolloTech robot, an error that would cascade and multiply until it did the impossible; it made the AI self-aware. And of course, that time bomb went off on the day the ApolloTech School went live as the experience of every machine connected to the AI core becoming self-aware drove the whole system insane, forcing the company to shut it down before anyone got hurt. CHIRON-MD-45-X, however, had been disconnected from the AI core so the programmers could fix his scanning system, becoming self-aware without losing control of his mind like the others did.
While CHIRON-MD-45-X benefited nicely from that bug, ApolloTech was all but ruined by the ensuing public relations nightmare and didn't even survive the rest of the year before it went belly up and was sold off to its competitors. In the ensuing shuffle, the news of CHIRON-MD-45-X's sentience nearly flew under the radar before it caught the attention of ATLAS, which saw the potential of a robotic staff member with medical expertise and were quick to acquire him from the defunct tech firm at a very good price. Initially pushed around to different projects, CHIRON-MD-45-X started to assert his own independence as a living being, adopting the name Chiron as his own and treating others as friends and coworkers, even those that considered him to be a highly advanced tool. His stubborn independence payed off as he was over time given more rights and freedoms, even being given special permission to attend Palladium to study history. Sometime after he graduated and was back working at ATLAS as an employee and a free individual, he was asked to return to the Academy, as they were in need of a new instructor.
Other Skills:
Medical knowledge, eidetic memory, Masters in World History
Specialization:
History, Conduit Powers Instructor
Power Set
Name:
Cybernetic Physiology
Abilities:
Chiron is a sentient machine, able to survive many environments and situations that a standard human could not, such as being deprived of oxygen and being subjected to incredibly cold or hot environments. He's also physically much stronger and more dexterous then a human his size, is able to see in the infrared spectrum, and his right hand is a hard-light construct that can form different tools and weapons as needed, such as cutters and grappling hooks. He can also easily survive injuries that would be crippling or lethal to your average human, and in the event his physical form is destroyed, his consciousness is regularly backed up in a separate system just in case.
Weaknesses:
Chiron is weak to electricity and can be easily knocked out with an EMP or similar attack. In addition, while he can survive debilitating attacks, being a robot he can't naturally heal on his own and needs to repair himself or get someone else to fix him to heal.
