Adam could see her thinking like she had in the dining hall, hesitating like she wanted to do or say something but just wasn't quite sure. He watched as she fumbled with her hands, and realized what she had been thinking about. Was it not normal for them to hold hands? As the walked out and she explained what the reservior was, Adam gave a nod. They continued on, in silence and not holding hands. It made Adam uncomfortable, as he felt much more comforted when they were holding hands.
As they began to walk up the stairs, she tripped and hit her head on the next stair. Adam drew in a quick breath, quickly rushing to her side. Perhaps, too quickly for a human. He looks to where she hit her head. There was no outside wound, but an inside one. Instinctively, he reached out to softly graze his thumb over it. This caused the two of them to be on the same level and much closer to each other. He doesn't laugh at her joke, concerned for her well-being. He looks into her eyes, the two of them face to face. It take him a moment to reply to her, a small smile appearing on his face before he does so.
"Ah, yeah. We can do that. I wouldn't want you being hurt more than you realize, although you might just have a small concussion," he says in a small voice, still looking at her. Why was he so drawn to this human girl like this?

Sparrow gazed into Adam'a eyes, at a loss for words when he kneels down to be closer to her. She blinks a time or two, and with a pink flush to her cheeks she nervously bites her lower lip. "I'm sure I'll be alright," she replies to him, still blushing but making absolutely no attempt to move away. She closes her eyes for a moment as a wave of dizziness washes over her, but it lasts just a few seconds and soon she opens her eyes again. Adam hadn't seemed to move while her eyes were closed, and a warm tingly feeling began to rise up from somewhere deep inside her. Instead of dwelling on the feeling she pushes herself to her feet, her stance shaky for a bit before she regains her composure and reaches out to take Adam's hand, wanting to hold it not simply for stability, but because it felt right. "I'll try not to fall again," she says with a small laugh, the words a weak attempt at a joke. She takes careful steps, slower and more purposeful than before, making every attempt not to end up on the ground again.

They weren't far from the gathering area, and when she steps inside something catches her eye. Or rather, someone. A cloaked figure stands at the edge of the large room, not mingling with the villagers, more like... studying them? Sparrow stands still for a moment, her head tilting inquisitively as she watches the figure from across the room. Then it occurs to her. He had been in the dinning hall too, not eating, just watching. The whole ordeal just seemed very out of place. People came to the village to be with other people or to trade. Never in her time had someone came to simply study them. An uneasy feeling settled over her, but she tears her eyes from the far side of the room to look at Adam. Perhaps she was just overthinking it, but something about the scenario seemed a bit off. "Adam," she says, keeping her voice low so as to not draw unnecessary attention to herself or her friend, "does that man seem odd to you? I think I saw him in the dinning hall too, he wasn't eating, he was just watching all of us. It's kind of creepy."

Adam felt like something was supposed to happen while they were close, but he didn't understand what. Stupid demon factor. As Sparrow stood, Adam stood with her. He was content when she grabbed his hand once more, and a smile returned upon his lips. "I'll try not to fall again," she laughs, and he gives a chuckle as well. "If you do fall again, I'll try to catch you. Try." A joke, but he would. Was that good? He watches her climbing the steps, ready to catch her if she trips again.
They got up to the gathering area, and Adam was confused when Sparrow stopped for a moment. Was something wrong with her? He was about to ask her when she lowered her voice. "Adam, does that man seem odd to you? I think I saw him in the dining hall too, he wasn't eating, he was just watching all of us. It's kind of creepy."
Adam glanced over at the man. He was quite strange. He took in a deep breath like he was nervous. In fact, he was just trying to smell if it was another demon or a mutt. He could sense the man was human. But there was something strange and more to him. He didn't smell like mutt, but didn't smell completely human. Adam shook his head.
"I don't like him, Sparrow. We...we should go. I...I have a bad feeling about him."

"I don't like him, Sparrow. We...we should go. I...I have a bad feeling about him." Adam's words were shaky, and in response Sparrow gently squeezes his hand. "It's possible he's just lost or trying to find something. I think I want to see if he needs any help. You can stay here, I'll be okay on my own." Regretfully Sparrow releases Adam'a hand and attempts a reassuring smile before taking a few steps towards the cloaked man. She stumbles but catches herself, getting her balance back before she falls completely. Instead of walking on her own she moves over towards one of the trader's booths, placing a hand on the rough wood to help her maintain her composure.

More slowly than what was necessary she makes her way towards the man, stopping for a moment when another wave of dizziness clouds her vision. She grips a trade stand post tightly with one hand, waiting for the sensation to pass before brushing her hands down her skirt and standing up straighter. The man was still looking over the crowds of people when she approached him. "Hello," she greets him with a small and slightly shaky curtsy, "I noticed you in the dining hall earlier. Are you looking for something or someone in particular? I haven't seen you around before, and I know most everyone in Sanctuary." Her clear blue eyes stare up at the man, who stood a good eight or nine inches over her head, with a curious gleam.

Ysran visibly flinched as the girl spoke. He didn't expect anybody to actually approach him. He looked down at the smaller girl, she had long flowing blonde hair, and her eyes were a light blues. She looked... childlike. She began asking questions.

"Uhmmm... No, no. I'm not lost, I'm just... observing. I'm new here as you guessed. Just looking around. I-I was actually thinking of heading out soon to the lower village. Then again, I might look around town some more."

He looked behind the girl. There was another. A boy. He had short, ginger hair. Ysran could immediately tell that he was no human. Either a vague half-breed, with a clever disguise, or a full on demon, with an even cleverer disguise. Hmm... Either the girl didn't know, or was another rare case of friendship with a demon. Just like him. Although perhaps it was something different completely. Maybe he was another informant?

Ayailla awoke before the rising of the sun, she found herself in the small room that she was given the use of the evening before. She had finally worked up the courage to approach the guards that were posted outside the village of Sanctuary. The half-breed had been met with caution and a bit of hostility, however, due to the king's decree she was allowed entry to the village with an armed guard at her back and a promised interview with the king at his leisure. She had been so surprised to see so many humans gathered, that she hadn't took the village layout when she was escorted to the residential area, it was a lot to take in all at once. However, as they had made their way through the village she heard the phrase "mutt" being whispered from the common folk. Her mother had warned her of the slur that humans would call her if she had ever met one but she never gave it much thought til then.

The Hybrid found her feet on the dirt floor of her room and stretched out, it had been pitch black and even with her incredible night vision she had trouble seeing much. She held out a hand and produced a small flame to get a good look at her quarters. It had been carved into the mountain and size enough for one, it was very modest...even cozy. The half-breed found a bucket of cool water and a half melted candle near her bed, using them both she was able to prepare herself for the exciting day ahead. Before leaving her lovely hovel she took out her locket with and allowed the music to play. The tune brought her back to her mothers embrace, if only for a moment.

Stepping out into the brisk mountain air was wonderful, it was still early spring so having a cloak on was still acceptable, even if the cold never bothered her anyways it was a great way to hide her tail. Aya sighed and tapped the horns on her head, "There's no hiding these," she says to herself. Just than a female human walked up to her, "No, there is no need to hide demon, we already know what you are." She says harshly. Aya is taken aback by the sudden hostile comment but makes no effort to reply.

The woman speaks again, however, there is no malice in her voice this time, "I will be the one escorting you around this morning. Make sure to follow my instructions at all time and make no sudden moves towards the villagers, I'll show you to the dining hall first so you can eat and allow you to wonder the village for a time before my shift is up."

Ayailla nods in agreement and fell in line with her head down, she was already regretting coming to Sanctuary. 'Maybe being alone is better then being somewhere no one wants you.' She thinks.

As They made there way to the dining area she had gotten nasty looks and was hearing that word again, she was quickly getting the impression that the guard was their to protect her from these nasty humans that look as though they wanted to run her through. As they got closer a feeling of dread or something she couldn't quite understand was getting nearer. Finally the smells of baked goods had detracted her from her current situation and with the help of her guard she was able to get a few delicious looking foods. She had been prepared to trade some rabbit fur or herbs (medicinal and food), however, they seemed to not be interested.

Aya took a look around the hall, something was off and she couldn't put a finger on it. However, Her eyes leveled with a figure shrouded with a hood of a bear, though the antlers that hinted to a fiend's hide were betrayed by how their movement didn't quite match. All it truly took was the moment their lips peeling back to expose the row of fangs that messily devoured their goods. He was the only thing that she could focus her eyes on and if anyone was sitting at the table with him she did not notice. She blinked her eyes trying to break herself out of whatever trance she was in but she couldn't make up her mind, wither to run away from or to him.

Luciel's eyes followed Adam out of the mess hall, only turning his head slightly as not to arouse suspicion. Shifting back, he was about to exact similar eradication upon a good portion of the muffin until his eyes stopped on the woman who was clearly staring at him. Hand poised with baked confection, his eyes locked with hers and lips sliding along a horrific maw until coming to an otherwise pursed tactfullness as he took a bite.
Pupils dilated to a degree as Luciel stood.

Horns, her eyes...why was she staring? Did she have any idea what she was even doing?

A brief glance to the armed woman with crossed arms looking between the two spelled out enough as Luciel caught himself quick enough to grab his plate and make it look like a simply awkward motion in the direction to so boldly assert seconds.
With only a nibble into a muffin and half a slice of ham remaining, he passed by the undisguised halfbreed. In the motion, he offered a smile while respectfully keeping his eyes on her face and unintentionally meeting hers with nervous pupils sharpened like blades.
Thankfully, she was still close enough to be within earshot while he pretended to be lost in decision. Proximity enough to hear the small inhale through the hooded Luciel's nose before he softly spoke, "Ssssthhhho..."
An excited flicker of a forked tongue accenting the boldness of the mutt in addressing the halfbreed demoness. He paused from perusing the goods of the table to roll his shoulders and set the loaded backpack and game bag down. The curiosity was unable to be managed, her scent was an oddity as it was mired in something rich to the near point of bitterness and the faintest hint of hollow sweetness that the 'Adam' character carried.
Intriguing uniqueness, he had no clue what to say, though offered a soft smile before continuing, "Vaht isss ssomeone like you doing here?" while making unlikened gestures as if he was making a different conversation. Lifting the ham on his plate with a single finger before letting it fall as if he was commenting on the food, he proceeded to comment on the food, anyway. "Iz far unlike zeh bake I make. Choices, ah? All at once" he mentioned in a hushed tone, spurred to make conversation with the creature, though unsure where to go...only where to start. Game was baked into a sourdough and eaten with the vegetable stew he made from what he had. It was simple, but he found it tasty with a few shredded spices left to steep in the pot.
Awkward as it was to simply stare, it was only polite to requite her engagement with acknowledgement and small talk. "And that human is your keeper, today?" he asked, gripping an apple in hand and turning it slightly before giving it a shake and a small laugh that was half forced.

"It's possible he's just lost or trying to find something. I think I want to see if he needs any help. You can stay here, I'll be okay on my own." As she dropped his hand and walked over to the man, Adam gritted his teeth. He watched her stumble and stepped forward to catch her, but she caught herself. He watched the man flinch as Sparrow talked to her.

He couldn't just tell her that he had a demon scent to him. He watched carefully as the man looked over at him suspiciously. He couldn't stand leaving her over there alone with this guy. He walked over, trying to be prepared for the worst. Finally, he stood a little bit behind Sparrow's side. He didn't say anything, just looked at the man and made sure Sparrow was going to be okay.

"Hm, alright, well if you need anything just ask one of the guards. They keep track of most everything here." Sparrow shrugs, the uncomfortable feeling still hanging in the air. She forces a small smile and turns on her heel to go back to Adam, the skirt of her dress flaring out as she turns. Her eyes light up when she sees Adam right behind her, and she glances over her shoulder at the cloaked man. "Let's go, I'd rather not stick around to see what he's up to. Something seems off about him," she whispers, her lips nearly brushing against Adam's ear as she leans in close in an attempt to keep the stranger from hearing her words. She slips her hand into Adam's instantly feeling more relaxed by his side, and she looks out over the trading booths, searching for the woman with the medical supplies.

Across the room, closer to the tunnel which leads down to the main entrance, a woman wraps an older man's leg with a pale white cloth. Sparrow sees them after searching for a moment and lead's Adam in the direction of the booth. She pauses half way over as the room spins, but after taking a few deep breaths she calms down enough to walk the rest of the way. Before she speaks to the woman she turns to Adam, a grateful smile on her lips. "Thank you for being so understanding. I promise this will be the last stop," she says, laughing a bit and releasing his hand. She steps towards the woman who finishes tending to the man's leg and turns in her direction.

"Oh goodness Dearie, what in heavens name happened to you?" Sparrow forces a strained smile as the woman guides her to a stool in the booth and examines her head. The once light purple spot on her head had turned a darker, more angry looking color, and the woman frowned. A cold cloth was placed on her head, and while the woman rifled through her things Sparrow watched Adam. Her head was pounding and making it hard to think, things that really shouldn't be moving seemed to spin around her. He, however, was the one thing she could focus on. She wasn't sure why, but while everything else was either moving or fuzzy or both, he was still and made her feel calm and in less pain. "You'll likely be alright," the woman says, but her tone hinted that she wasn't entirely certain of that. "Take it easy for a while, nothing too taxing, and if you can, try and stay out of the kitchen for a few days. You need to rest." Sparrow nods, standing slowly and placing the cloth that she had been holding on her head on the stool. She brushes her hands down her skirt and frowns. A mirror across from where she stands shows the deep purple spot on her forehead and she sighs before pulling the hood of her cloak over her head, hiding most of her face in the shadows, before walking back over to Adam.

"Ready to finally get out of here?"

As Sparrow leaned in close to Adam, his heart sped up. She whispered in his ear, and Adam rolled his eyes and gave a small laugh. Like he hadn't just told her that. Her hand fell into his, and he held it as she guided him away.
"Thank you for being so understanding. I promise this will be the last stop." Adam gave a nod, willing to wait for Sparrow. Like he thought, it wasn't anything too terrible. It would heal. As she was being tended to, Adam simply looked at her and admired her. He couldn't stop doing that. What was wrong with him? She looked over at him and he looked surprised and a little embarrassed for being caught staring at her. He looked down at his feet, and then gave a smile as he looked back up at her.
"Ready to finally get out of here?" Adam nodded again.
"At least you won't have to fake being sick to get out of the kitchen," he says with a grin as he takes her hand once more. "Now, show me this place you've been talking about taking me to but have yet to actually do."

Ayailla kept her eyes trained on the other half-breed as he start to make his way nonchalantly toward her. She could feel the hairs on the back of her neck rising, everything in her was telling her to get up and go but it was kind of exciting. She hadn't seen another half-breed other then her father and she was curious about how different he looked compared to her father. She watch as the cloaked figure flicked his forked tongue like a snake tasting the air around it looking for its prey, was this a form of communication for half-breeds, she pondered.

As the half-breed spoke to her she nervously tapped the table with a long pointed claw like nail that stabbed through the wood effortlessly. However, when the male offered her a smile she relaxed gave a smile in return. His accent was something he had never heard before, certainly she hadn't heard any of the village folk have an accent like his. Aya cocked her head to the side when the cloaked male as he spoke again, gave a show with the piece of meat on his plate. Aya got the feeling that he was as curious about her then she was about him.

Aya looked behind her to the standing female guard watching the whole exchange, she seemed to had slightly tensed as the male half-breed came closer, however, there was a form of recognition in her eyes. She turned back to the male to answer his questions. "Yes, this human female is my escort. I seem to cause a violent reaction to the people of this village though I cannot fault them, they must see me as a predator of sorts. However, to answer you question, I am here to possibly gain citizenship to this village to escape the soul crushing loneliness that was left after my mother passed away. Though it seems I might have made a mistake as the the humans here seem to be unwelcoming to our kind."

The half-breed looks the male over once more to get a better scope of his outfit, "Is your cloak an attempt to disguise yourself, does it work? Maybe I should find a goats pelt to try to disguise my horns." She says with a friendly smile

The female guard seemed to be uninterested in the conversation and ignored the comments about her, her orders were to make sure the demon caused no trouble for the village folk and anything else was extra. She stoically looked straight forward and arms crossed not responding to the demon she knew as Luciel.

When Adam takes Sparrow's hand a tingly feeling runs up her hand, through her arm, and puts an even bigger smile on her face. "I've been trying to show you, I swear!" Her laugh rings through the room and she pulls him towards the main entrance of the mountain. She pauses for a moment as she passes the guards. "We'll be back before dark," she says cheerfully before letting go of Adam's hand and turning to face him. "Wanna race? The gate to the lower city is straight ahead for a few hundred feet. I bet I can beat you there!" Down in the outdoor part of the city the small market district hums with life as carts are rolled and pulled through the streets, and a rainbow of colored cloaks brush past each other. She plants her hands on her hips, leaning towards him excitedly and practically bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet. "My class used to race down here, just watch out for the carts." Despite being told not to do anything strenuous, Sparrow felt a surge of energy rush through her, like she could do anything at that moment. Her head still hurt, but focusing on Adam made it not so bad.

Adam knew he could easily beat Sparrow, being a demon and such. He decided what to do, and then nodded. "Alright. It's on," he said with a smile. On the mark to go, he didn't move for a few seconds. He watched her running, and stretched his arms a bit before he started running too. He quickly caught up to her, and gave her a salute as he pulled just a little ahead. He turned back, and dodged a cart he hasn't seen there before. His goal was to stay next to her on the whole way down.

"Ready, set, go!" Sparrow sprints forward, cloak blowing out behind her, laughing excitedly the whole way. Just when she thinks she has gotten far enough in front of Adam she sees him run up beside her. Dang he's fast! she thinks, a goofy smile still painted on her face as she runs. Carts roll out in front of her and she quickly dodges them, swerving to the side and not letting up her pace until she reaches the gate. Out of breath and head spinning, she leans her back against the side of the wall, slowing her racing heart with deep breaths. The ribbon she had used back in her room to tie her hair back had fallen out somewhere while the two were running and her long blonde hair frames her face in waves. "You're fast," she says breathlessly. She brushes her hair from her eyes, pulling the locks over her shoulder and pulling the hood of her cloak back up to shadow the bruise on her forehead. "The place we are heading isn't too far away, just through the forest over that way." stepping outside of the gate she off towards the forest to the right of the village. "I wouldn't worry too much about us running into anything, I never have and I've heard it's fairly safe over here." She reaches out for Adam's hand with a smile and heads towards the dark woods.

Adam breathed heavily, smiling a goofy smile. "You think that's fast?!" he exclaimed with a laugh. He looked at the strands of hair falling over her shoulders. She reached for his hand, and Adam gladly took it. He barely even knew this girl, but he felt like he'd known her all of his life. She talked about not running into anything, and he knew she meant demons. It was funny, because she had and she didn't even know. He looked around at the forest, loving the nature even though he'd been out here for so long. He took in a deep breath, not currently smelling anything. She seemed to be right.
"So, how much do you come out here?" Adam asked her.

Sparrow bites her lower lip nervously before replying. "Well since I've been living in Sanctuary I've only been out here a couple of times. My parents raised me in a small house a few miles from here though. Off that way." She glances around and then points northeast. "We only came to Sanctuary after we were attacked by um... them." Sparrow quiets down after she speaks, her eyes closing for a brief moment.

Then a noise rises in the distance. A low rumble, like an animal growing but not quite. Sparrow freezes. She hadn't brought any sort of weapon along with them, trusting that the forest would be free of any demons. Her eyes widen in fear and she takes a step back. Her foot comes down on a branch and it snaps noisily beneath her weight. The girl winces and lets go of Adam's hand, taking another step back before turning towards him. "We need to go. Now." The words come out in a harsh whisper, her voice thick with fear. In front of them the rumble rises to something between a screech and a scream, and within a moment the noise seems to be coming from all around them. Sparrow turns, trying to find the source of the noise. "Adam... W-we need to run..."

"Well since I've been living in Sanctuary I've only been out here a couple of times. My parents raised me in a small house a few miles from here though. Off that way.We only came to Sanctuary after we were attacked by um... them."
Adam felt a pang of guilt, even though he knew it wasn't him but other demons that had attacked them. But he couldn't help but feel guilty. In his listening, he hadn't heard the forest around them quiet down eerily. He heard the growl, like thunder, and his nostrils flared. Shit.
"We need to go. Now." Adam couldn't stand her being in fear like this. He heard the sounds get louder, felt the demons who were coming turn to them after her foot had snapped that twig on the ground. They were coming from all around them now. Like a pride of lions, they were going to surround them. Adam felt his heart beating faster than a human's should, his blood on edge.
"Adam... W-we need to run..."
They couldn't run. Well, he could. But there was no way that she was going to outrun them. And he couldn't leave her here. He quickly unsheathed his bone daggers, handing them to Sparrow without question. He was breathing heavily now, his eyes turning more dangerous. He had to protect her. It didn't matter if she hated him after. "When you see an opening, run. If they come after you, fight for me. Your life depends on it," he said, something new in the boy who seemed so quiet and innocent.
There were only three of them, but they were terribly ugly creatures. "Alright ladies and gentlemen. Let's go," he spoke, more for himself than anything.

Adam grew half a foot taller, and his lovely light brown hair turned a shimmering white. His green eyes turned crimson red, his pale skin turned a ghostly white. Bones grew out of his back along his spine, and a tail too. His fingers and toes turned into claws, and fangs hang outside his mouth. He let out a demonic roar, taunting for the others to come at him.
The two biggest ones did, and Adam gave another yell at one. It flew back, hitting a tree with force. Adam turned to the other, beginning to slash at it. The third one waited, watching them fight. Adam continued fighting, biting the neck of the one he'd been fighting. Its body turned limp, and Adam let it fall to the ground. He turned to the one he had thrown at the tree, and the third one jumped on top of him and bit his neck. Adam began thrashing around, before forcefully falling on his back. The creature was spiked with Adam's back-ridges. The tree demon had turned on Sparrow, going for the easier of prey. Adam noticed as the demon was about to pounce on her, and leapt towards it at great speed. The two of them fought for a long time, before Adam finally slashed its brains out.
The demon-boy stumbled back, bleeding on his right leg, left shoulder, neck, and stomach area. He turned around to look at Sparrow, and let out a noise that sounded like he was trying to say her name before he fell on the ground. His demonic-form faded back to human. His shirt was torn apart, and his pants had a few rips in them too. He was bleeding terribly. After a moment of stillness, and flipped over onto his back with a yell of pain. Tears fell out of his eyes from the pain and he stared at the sky, out of breath and out of energy.

At least on a small level, Luciel could understand the issue with open hostilities, nodding lightly in recognition. "Iz understandable" he commented, giving up on trying to recompose the local accent and instead allowing the words to simply form. He could empathize with her loneliness, though was a bit stunned by her outwardness regarding her family. While he normally would try not to pry, she seemed more than willing to simply lay the cards out.

"M-my condolences..."
Luciel offered, their expression shifting to a mild frown before attempting to change the subject by discussing business. "I am...unsure...if I vould vahnt to live here. I brought some produce to town as a gift, zough a famine of gratitude plagues hearts..." his own explanation came, once again touching the small silver cross as a small reminder to himself of why he was there.
A brief shake of his head freed them from the thought as he gestured for her to get some breakfast for herself as he didn't want to keep them from the lavish bounty that humanity had provided for their people. "Ehn, yeh! Iz like a fiend, ah?" he replied to the question about his disguise. Normally, it would be his cue to bolt if anyone saw through it, though the company was in a similar situation in stature. There was no sense in denying what she apparently could see through. "Iz...a bit varm for zeis place, zough..." Luciel softly chuckled, using a hand to shift it once more.

The guard for the creature he'd just met seemed tense by his presence and while he was compelled to understand, surely she could see their surroundings. If either of them had ill intentions, surely no place would be better than wading through civilians to do so. It wasn't like he was a bad influence or anything, just that he was boundlessly curious of seeing another mutt in town.

The scene which unfolded before her sent Sparrow into a state of shock. The man she had spent the morning pressed cold daggers made of bone into her shaking palms and morphed into a creature that both peaked her curiosity and terrified her to the core. His body stretched out, growing half a foot taller. The usually soft brown hair atop his head turned a brilliant white, and his cool green eyes which she could have stared at all day glared red against his now ghostly pale skin. Sparrow backed up she watched boney spines break through the skin on his back, accompanied by a tail. As he slashed at the attacking demons she realized his hands had formed into claws, and his mouth had produced long fangs. He was, by nearly any account, utterly terrifying. Not entirely animalistic, but no longer even remotely human-looking. Something stirred inside Sparrow, she was terrified, yes but not necessarily of him.

The third demon in the group took the chance while Adam was busy to strike at Sparrow, but the girl's demon friend leaped in front, shielding her from the attack. He engaged the demon and while he kept it busy Sparrow scaled a large tree a short distance from the fight. She knew in the back of her mind that it wouldn't save her to be up off of the ground, but at the time it seemed a good place to be. When the final beast had been struck down Sparrow dropped to the ground and crept out of her hiding place. She got to the edge of the clearing as Adam looked into her eyes and attempted to speak, then fell. Sparrow's heart dropped and before Adam had returned entirely to his human form she was by his side. Placing the daggers he had given her on the ground she kneels down by his side. When he moves onto his back Sparrow's eyes widen. His wounds were awful; deep gashes cut across his stomach, shoulder, and leg, shredding his clothing and leaving him breathless and in pain. Very carefully she takes his hand, skin barely touching. With her other hand, she brushes his hair from his eyes and then pulls the bloody cloth of his shirt away from the wound. "You saved my life," she murmurs, not knowing if Adam could hear her or if he was in too much shock from the attack to even know she was there.

After tailing the two into the forest, growls could be heard everywhere. Demons. And ones that likely didn't care about his position. Looks like it was time to fight. Or... he could see how these humans would fight back. Yes, that would likely be best. He stuck to the shadows, and watched the fight proceed. A previously mentioned boy he'd seen, Adam, was it, began to transform in front of his very eyes. He looked typical for a demon. Spikes, fangs, even the height. This shout be interesting.

The fight was over fairly quickly. The aforementioned demon boy easily tore apart the three demons that had come out to play. Yet in the process, he took significant damage himself. He reverted to human form, and fainted on the spot.

Ysran walked out of the shadows, clapping slowly, towards the two. "My, my. That was quite the performance. But you don't look so good fella. You should be more careful." He bent down, and placed a hand on his chest.

"Allow me. This may take a minute." A moment passed. Or two. He couldn't tell, either way it seemed like an hour. But either way, the boy began to glow, and his wounds immediately healed. "There we are. All better."
