@BrokenPromise Penny is looking to get Semtex for this venture, people are going to have to dig through the rubble for treasure if Penny get's her way.
EDIT: Just learned about Octanitrocubane, it's a high yield chemical explosive. The amount of military weaponry I have ended up researching about due to Penny is surprising.
@t2wave@Flamelord@Hammerman not sure who to ask on this matter, so I'll just ask you all; what are the Bacon protocols if a) one of their members are attacked, and b) one of their members disappears are said attack.
And on that note, I'll post here the two new characters Ari accepted. They might not be introduced just this minute, but ya'll should at least know they exist.
Name: Charlotte Klein
Age (Magical Girl): 15 (Starting Age 13)
Age (Before Magical Girl): 41
Gender: Female
Gender (Before Magical Girl): Female
Appearance:
Untransformed:
Transformed:
Specialization: Charlotte possesses a variation of Runic Magic; specifically, a branch of Black Runes that cause any non-organic material their energy enters to decay. Its connotation with evil created a rift between her Bacon compatriots, however she never used it for malice. Due to its Runic nature, it is slow to cast, and requires objects to have the necessary runes engraved into them. While objects can be provided before hand, the nature of Decay Magic results more often than not in the destruction of the vessel. New objects cannot be provided during combat, and attempting to cast spells not already prepared leave the user open to attack.
Weapon: Charlotte's weapon is a long, dual bladed spear, covered in Runes, that allow her to decay anything she slashes.
Power:
Twin Soul: though she didn't discover her power for quite some time, Charlotte takes pride in her Twin Soul Power. After dabbling with her Blood Magic in an attempt to gain more power outside of her Magical Outfit, she accidentally caused herself major damage and blood loss. Due to the failure of her ritual, her soul was split into two, and so was born her Twinned Soul. Despite the weakness it caused her, she loves her sister with all her heart.
Perks:
Wings: Sprouting from Charlotte's back a pair of two white, almost angelic wings. While they aren't the style she would have preferred, they let her glide, and fly somewhat, if rather difficultly, thereby increasing her mobility, which she is more than happy with.
Disguise Artifact: An oddity of an item she acquired from one of her mercenary jobs, Charlotte has an artifact that allows her to transform into another person for a limited time. It is an almost perfect transformation, and allows her to go incognito for a while if needed.
Blood Magic: In a search to enhance her powers, Charlotte learnt to use her life essence to power her magic, even outside of her Magical form. However, she rarely uses it any further, as she once messed up a spell, which resulted in her splitting her own soul into two pieces.
Healing Artifact: Another reward for her mercenary duties, Charlotte has a piece of fabric, emblazoned with a Runic language. By holding it near a wound, it enhances the healing process, if only by a little bit.
Natural Ageing: Due to her affinity with Decay, a process through which things decompose over time, Charlotte ages naturally, even in Magical form. She ages at half the speed of a normal human, though, and because of this she can reincarnate herself much quicker than a Magical Girl could normally.
Martial Training: To utilise her strength, Charlotte engaged in spear combat training during her time at Bacon. The time spent has left her quite adept at combat, including logistics and tactics.
Gifted: Charlotte is talented in the ways of utilising her Specialisation in ways others wouldn't expect. Due to the nature of her magic, though, this generally manifests as simply creating unique ways of destroying the environment to use against her opponents. Although, she does like to pretend that her magic can cause the human body to decay.
Patron: Lothreen
Patron Benefits:
Divine Competence: The skill of Lothreen flows through her champions, giving them skills in hunting and similar. Usually this includes being able to track animals, monsters and people more easily, proficiency in setting traps, better accuracy with ranged weapons, the knowledge of how to properly kill and harvest an animal, etc.
Paragon: The God of the Hunt is no slacker, and chasing down prey requires the hunter to be in peak physical form. To that end, Lothreen has bestowed upon her Champions greater physical attributes to endure the task of the hunt.
Mana Font: For Charlotte to perform her duties, Lothreen has granted her access to her mana, which allows them to draw upon more than they would be able to usually. This helps greatly with their magic, due to its high mana cost.
Mystic Might: Thanks to this, Charlotte also has more magical power, increasing the potency of her magic from the surplus of mana.
Physical Prowess: Thanks to Lothreen's divine assistance, Thalia is much more agile than she might have been otherwise. Whether it was because her Patron though agility was good, or because she liked how it fit her canine motif, we might never know.
Patron Drawbacks:
Unknown: Lothreen is... Well, quite the unknown God. She claims to have once been worshipped well, hence her resources, but after Artemis came into the picture she was quickly forgotten. Not even scriptures about her exist.
Trickster: Some might wish for a playful God. Probably not the kind of playful Lothreen brings to the table. She is somewhat of a sadistic Goddess, and likes to through her Champions dangerous, difficult, and occasionally lethal challenges to see what they make of them, sometimes resulting in their deaths. She never learnt about work health and safety, but at the very least she pays pretty well to those that complete her ridiculous and whimsical challenges.
Clueless: Lothreen isn't exactly the most knowledgeable Patron out there in the working of magic, and the magical world itself. The amount of advice she can give is limited, though she hardly gives meaningful advice full stop, and so is essentially more like a fountain of power and a decent friend, but not a particularly useful Patron.
Big Brother: Lothreen loves to drop in and converse with her Champions, preferably at the most inopportune of moments. It needn't even be important; her voice will appear in their head for simply inane chatter at the most random of moments. She also enjoys prying into her Magical Girls lives, and keeping tabs on everything going on with them, no matter how small or insignificant they may be. Plus, she is always watching, making private activities somewhat of a challenge. Don't worry though. Lothreen is most definitely a lesbian.
Fighting Style: Charlotte does her very best to not rely on her power, and instead uses her skills in combat to provide her victory in battle. Her wings provide her a greater range of mobility, and her spear is covered in runes that decay any non-organic material it comes in contact with, provided it is not indestructible, like a Magical Girl's weapon. On her person she has a few items, such as sheets of metal and playing cards, all tattooed with her Black Runes, produced by her sister. She can use these to cause instant decay on any object by laying or throwing them against it, though the number she carries is minimal. Due to her better physical prowess, Charlotte takes point as the main combatant, and allows Isabel to back her up from range.
Personality: Charlotte is the more serious of the two sisters. Unlike Isabel, she tends to play things by strategy, and isn't the biggest fan when things deviate from the plan. She can joke around sometimes, mostly when the two are alone, but in battle she enters a focused state you would be troubled to break her out of. Despite that, she is quite easily embarrassed by her sister, who takes great pleasure in doing just that in the midst of battle. They aren't the monsters Bacon made them out to be; not evil, not cruel. They fight for their survival, not for pleasure, and are loathed to kill other Magical Girls if they don't have to. However, they are sympathisers with Monster Girls, which only helps to strengthen the animosity their past colleagues feel for them.
History:
Beacon was, at first, loathed to hire on Charlotte Klein. They weren't in any need for another Magical Girl at the time. But, their resources were stretched thin, and running amok was a Magical Girl who had taken it upon herself to terrorise the city. They needed someone to take care of her, as it were, and Charlotte had enough potential to fit the role.
So, they formed the contract, and she vanquished the girl. From then on, she was a member of the Bacon family. But there was always a divide between them. Her wings caused enough animosity as it was, but her Specialisation was considered evil by most. But she decided to let it slide.
At least, she did for a little while. However, whilst practising Blood Magic under supervision of one of the Puchuu's, she gravely injured herself, and split her soul into two, creating her Sister Isabel. Finally, she wasn't alone. It was that that gave her the courage to speak her own opinion.
So, they voiced her neutrality towards Monster Girls. they spoke of how Bacon was nothing but a cult of zealots blinded by outdated ideals. And they renounced everything the Bacon stood for. As such, the two were excommunicated immediately, and the Bacon Girls told to execute the two on sight.
From that moment on, they were fugitives of the Magical World. Everyone related to Bacon wanted their heads. In order to keep themselves occupied, Charlotte and Isabel entered into Mercenary work for varying patrons; Horrors, Deities, Lesser Forces; whomever needed their services. For two years or so, they managed to keep their heads down.
Until the Bacon caught up with them. A fight ensued, and the two didn't plan to just be executed. They killed five girls before being subdued and finished off. They both knew that wouldn't be the end of it, of course. They would resurrect, and the Bacon would just come after them again; especially now that they had five lives under their blade.
Three years ago they began their resurrection, taking approximately 10 months due to their heightened speed in the process, and, once completed, the two went into hiding. They stayed that way for around two months or so, until a Deity approached them, named Lothreen. She needed Magical Girls to watch over her Champion, and act as her Fake Parents. They were reluctant at first, but agreed to help as best they could. They've been watching her ever since.
Incantation: "Revealed, the natural process of death; all things crumble before our powers!"
Additional Info:
Even though its been 3 years since they were killed by the Bacon, they are still known and feared within their ranks; after all, they have 5 lives under their blades.
Charlotte and Isabel are definitely in a relationship. Narcissism ftw
Name: Isabel Klein
Age (Magical Girl): 15 (Starting Age 13)
Age (Before Magical Girl): N/A
Gender: Female

New objects cannot be provided during combat, and attempting to cast spells not already prepared leave the user open to attack.
Weapon: Isabel's weapon takes the form of a clockwork crossbow, with an automated reload system. The bolts are engraved with Black Runes, allowing her to decay matter from a distance, unlike her sister.
Power:
Hammerspace: Isabel has access to a realm of infinite storage. With it, she can store anything she touches inside it, and can retrieve them immediately with a thought, making her excellent support. The dimension is inaccessible to any besides herself, and its contents is mostly comprised of items engraved with Black Runes that she can summon and use for combat.
Perks:
Wings: Sprouting from Isabel's back a pair of almost angelic wings, one coloured white, and the other back. She thoroughly loves the style that they are in, and the fact that they let her glide, and fly, somewhat, if with some issues, only make them better.
Disguise Artifact: Isabel shares with her sister an artifact they acquired from one of their mercenary missions. It allows her to transform into another person for a limited time. It is an almost perfect transformation, and allows her to go incognito for a while if needed.
Blood Magic: Isabel was created through Charlotte's reckless use of Blood Magic without any safety nets, though she doesn't blame her, as it was done under the supervision of a Bacon Puchuu. Because of this, she has an innate talent towards it, though she hardly uses it out of respect for her sister, who was injured because of it.
Healing Artifact: Another reward for her mercenary duties, Isabel shares with Charlotte a piece of fabric, emblazoned with a Runic language. By holding it near a wound, it enhances the healing process, if only by a little bit.
Natural Ageing: Due to her affinity with Decay, a process through which things decompose over time, Isabel, too, ages naturally, even in Magical form. She ages at half the speed of a normal human, though, and because of this she can reincarnate herself much quicker than a Magical Girl could normally.
Martial Training: Isabel is far from the strongest of Magical Girls, being only slightly stronger than a human. However, she still understand tactics and logistics, just the same as her sister, since she was tutored for their mercenary duties.
Gifted: Isabel is talented in the ways of utilising her Specialisation in ways others wouldn't expect. Due to the nature of her magic, though, this generally manifests as simply creating unique ways of destroying the environment to use against her opponents. Although, she does like to pretend that her magic can cause the human body to decay.

Mana Font: For Isabel to perform her duties, Lothreen has granted her access to her mana, which allows them to draw upon more than they would be able to usually. This helps greatly with their magic, due to its high mana cost.

Fighting Style: Unlike her sister, Isabel relies heavily on her ability for combat. All her bolts are engraved thoroughly with powerful runes, so that she may cause collateral damage should she miss her shots. Like her sister, she can fly, increasing her range of mobility, but more than that she relies on her Hammerspace as a source of pre-inscribed runes for combat use, which cause immediate and rapid decay on any object they are placed against. Due to her higher mana levels, and greater magical power, Isabel is the main spell caster in battle.
Personality: In contrast to her sister, Isabel is less serious, and is quite the fan of doing with spontaneously. She enjoys joking around, but despite that she does show a considerable intelligence, and enjoys helping Charlotte develop their combat plans. Even then, though, one of her more favoured activities is making those plans go awry, often including embarrassment for Charlotte in the process.
History:
Isabel was born due to her Sister's reckless lack of safety when performing Blood Magic to enhance her powers. The splitting of her soul was painful, but it resulted in her birth, and as such Charlotte was no longer lonely within Bacon. It didn't take long for the two of them to fall in love with each other.
Together, they voiced her neutrality towards Monster Girls. they spoke of how Bacon was nothing but a cult of zealots blinded by outdated ideals. And they renounced everything the Bacon stood for. @Vocab One of the benefits that Beacon has is their extensive communication network thanks to both their community organization as well as their Beckoners actively guiding them. If a lone Beacon girl is under attack, she can count on reinforcements to be coming from the closest squad nearby. As for someone who's disappeared or kidnapped, the Beckoners demand that the local Beacon community HQ sends as many Beacon girls as possible to search for them.
And just so people are aware, and for no real reason, I have changed Penny's Appearance. As far as I can gather it shouldn't break any posts, but I have avoided peeking into the dark side of things. Let me know if there are any issues.
Thought I'd scare Bacon a little bit. They should have a tonne of fun with that.
Eh, at this point I'm not particularly scared, considering I dunno who this guy is, and with everyone that wants to make bad stuff happen to Beacon. I think my bigger concern is how Beacon is stuck being a reactionary force, but there's not much helping it when most other magical girls in the city don't like them at this point
@canaryrose Bye. Sorry to see you go but I can understand. Take care. Perhaps clear your character profile from the character tab if you please (save it for yourself though. Never know).
Anyway, @Vocab, are you expecting Bacon people to drop in on the Charlotte thing, or is it just something we should be worried about for in the future?
@Flamelord Bacon can search if they find it necessary, but they won't find anything. They'd probably receive a text saying he'd be released in a couple days, alive. It was just a thing so that Bacon could note that they have to deal with something somewhat new.
