Sylvia turns her glare from Brielle to Luciel then to the huge sack, she gives a sigh of annoyance and gestures for two guards to come and take care of the supplies the demon offered up. Two strong looking guards come from either sides of the dining hall and struggled with the sack having to call for additional assistance. Sylvia impatiently pinches the bridge of her nose and waits for her new charges to decide where they wanted to go next.

Ayailla took note of how Luciel seemed to respond when she and the tall male human talked about their past. She hadn't ever held any of her feelings back when she spoke with her mother but when she did so with Luciel he seemed taken aback. Aya also noted that humans seemed to have aggressive outburst even toward other humans, she couldn't help but question if the half-demons had more humanity then they did.
As Luciel took his leave of the hall Aya turned to the human male and female and gave a curtsy as the humans in the books she read did. "Good day," she offered as she turned to run to catch Luciel. Sylvia gives one more look too Brielle, "We all have jobs to fulfill in order to keep this place running. Don't get complacent," she says softly and quickly follows the two mutts.

Aya walks in pace with the other half-demon not certain where he is headed towards, she looks up at her new acquaintance and smiles. "I hope you do not mind me accompanying you for a little while, these humans are umm...violently unpredictable or maybe unpredictably violent." She looks back to see if Sylvia was close enough to hear her remark and found she indeed was, however, the human seemed unphase as she dutifully followed her charges. The half-demon turns back to Luciel and says, "I apologize if I was too forward back there, I do not have much experience talking with others."

Eden made his way toward Brielle and calmly placed his hand upon her shoulder. "We should get on our way pepper." It was a silly remark, but it had a lot of emotion behind it. A cute kind of nickname he had given her as a kid and used whenever he could feel her temper or anxiety rising. He smiled at her, and gestured for her to come as they made their way onto the pathway to the school.

It was just them two now, aside from the few bits of citizens they passed and he turned to her and attempted to make a connection. So what was all that back there? You hanging out with a half breed and all? That was kinda....um well out of place. I bet people are gonna ask questions later if anyone is aware of what he is.

Her widened as she realized the mutt was coming to her defense, her lips slightly parted as she inhaled a surprised breath. Brielle then crossed her arms, and let the breath out slowly through her nostrils. He then thanked her for breakfast, and walked away - his new found friend doing the same. Brielle nodded her head in acknowledgement to the female, and watched her catch up with Lucile. Her attention coming back to Sylvia's softly spoken statement, Brielle said nothing but kept a stern gaze towards the other female. The clasp of a hand brought her out of the silent stare, she nodded to his statement chuckling at the archaic nickname, and turned to follow him. Giving a last look - she saw them all walking away. A sense of regret slightly filling her.

So what was all that back there? You hanging out with a half breed and all? That was kinda....um well out of place. I bet people are gonna ask questions later if anyone is aware of what he is.

"I wouldn't call it hanging out," She sighed, taking her head band off and running her fingers through her dark locks. Untangling a few knots before she continued "I was sent out to hunt this morning, and while waiting - he comes walking along towards Sanctuary, and I escorted him in. Defended him against Derrick, who was trying to take all his stuff. It's not my job to guard him though..." She huffed at the end, and slipped her headband back on. Looking to Eden, "Do you think we should trust them?" her voice was quiet with uncertainty "I cant help but still feel so angry towards them - even if they aren't the ones that killed my family.."

He walked now with her, both hand in his pockets with a calm kind of sense about himself and he listened to her closely. He rolled around her response in his head for a while letting the silence fill in the time while he thought about how to respond.

"Well it is kind of strange I guess to say this, but maybe we should trust them until they give us a reason to do otherwise. Sanctuary is afterall called sanctuary so we should let it live up to its name by being good host to anyone who comes to our door. But we also shouldn't be naive enough to be fooled. So perhaps we should keep a close eye on them. Besides, what if they know something of value and end up not sharing it with us because of our actions. Maybe they know something about the recent sightings. I'd bet half breeds are hunted just as often as humans are by the demons, we have to make these guys feel welcome even if it means going against something we believe in. It's also only normal for you to feel that way and I don't blame you for it.

Stepping through the halls, Luciel fought to compose his steps which found a deliberate pace since he was more than willing to leave, and wanted nothing more than to break out into a sprint. This whole arrangement seemed like such a waste of time, simply reminding humanity that he existed...since they seemed to have no interest in compassion or coexistence. His footsteps slowed almost to a stop, pacing in the direction from which he came in the hope of finding the main gate. As tall of a talk that he slung, the nature of the event and even his emotions unnerved him.

Luciel jumped as Aya spoke, a click of a creak rising from his hands as his head spun to find the fellow halfbreed. "I-Iz fine..." his voice soft as he let his accent once again push to the surface. "I am leavink, before I am robbed or driven out" the demonic cleric chuckled, retrieving his hands to abandon the silver crucifix long enough to look over his hands. The stress had already been enough for his blood to will the tips into now viable weapons. They would only grow even more sharp and keen with intent, faith having failed Luciel to prevent such ends.
Her apology worked a small smile to Luciel's expression, his hands clicking claws against each other before almost compulsively finding and folding over the silver once more. "Iz nohszink. I...did not szink zehr vher many ouf us in zeh verld. Color me surprised...ehn...I am not so forward..." he explained, absolving her regret and dismissing his will to share details about himself in the same friendly but somehow distant tone.

Tilting his hands while folded, he looked over the tips of his now clawed fingers. "Zehr vill be a time. Zehy vill need us, ehn aaaall it takes iz a single second ouf any day...ouf any veek...ouf any month" he mused, wholly aware of what he had to offer, though darkly suspecting his own death before his time would come to prove himself. Luciel dismissed the hungering darkness with the shake of his head and resuming the state of his hand, looking over to Aya.
"Livink here. Vhy did you vahnt to live among humans?" he asked, trying to leave the question as open as possible since he assumed that no 'mutt' in town simply had to live in town. Accepting as this king sounded like, his subjects had made it clear that his order was either left unrespected, unfounded or simply myth. Luciel knew nothing of politics and was in no position to debate, though he still felt sore for how humanity chose hypocrisy over sensibility.

Accepting of everyone like us...unless we even think you're not like us, no matter the color of your character or physical appearance.

Maybe things would be better after a week when the yams and carrot stock are ready. Time would tell.

She listened to him as they made their way through the crowds towards the classrooms. Inhaling deeply, she crossed her arms - her thumb stroking the wood of her bow in some kind of nervous habit. Brielle then stopped as they stood at the entrance of the classrooms, and placed her hands behind her back - both gripping her bow. She gave a small smile to Eden, "I suppose your right.." Her thoughts trailed off to keeping them close in essence in case the halfbreeds did know something, "I guess its just an unnerving thought to not know what they're capable of". She didn't say anything for a moment, her eyes shifted to the ground before inhaling and starting again "There was something kind of different about Lucile, the Half-breed earlier. He seemed to scared of the guards, I was sure he was going to attack. But..Didn't. So maybe you are right".

Her gaze went from the dread-locked man to the class slowly filling with children. It was rare she ever stepped foot in the classrooms, but when she did - a crisp nostalgia of her days spent here, flooded in. "You said Flora and Fauna today?" Brielle asked Eden in a more chipper tone, her gaze still placed on some of the youth in the class. "Well! Guess I'll take a seat in the back, so you can start class. Teacher" She laughed, and gestured for him to walk in first.

Aya studied the silver cross Luciel had been toying with in his clawed hands, she thought that she had seen this symbol before but she couldn't place where she had nor what it meant. The half-demon sighed at the realization that living among the humans was never going to work as she thought about Luciel's question. She couldn't lay blame solely on the them, she knew that humanity struggled against demon attacks so it was only natural that they'd be skeptically about a half-demon showing up trying to befriend them. However, she or Luciel didn't ask to be this way so why did they have to pay for being born.

The half-demon didn't know how she felt about having to come to the villages recuse to finally be accepted, she didn't know if she would come to aid the village or even if they would want her help. Now that she was thinking about it, she had noticed damage to the outside near Sanctuary suggesting demon attacks, though she kept this observation to herself

"Well, I suppose I am to human to live like a demon and to demon to live with humans," she says with frown. "I guess there is no place for beings like us..."

As the two walk side by side now getting with in view of the only gate leading in or out of the village, Aya stretches her clawed fingers near the other half-demon's claws, "or maybe there is." Aya says with a soft smile.

Ysran wasn't sure how much time had passed. After healing the demon child, he retreated to commune with the pact holders in th He reported his findings of how the humans in Sanctuary behaved, their culture, and most importantly, a demon living amongst them. The Holders expected most of what he had to say, but the hidden demon was a surprise to them. They expressed their gratitude, and said that they would investigate further into Sanctuary.

Ysran opened his eyes. He was in a clearing, somewhere. He stood up from his kneeling position and looked around. Several candles were set up around him, while a large Occult symbol sat underneath him in the grass. Within a second of looking, the symbol dissolved into nothingness, and the candles went out.

Picking up his candles, he tried to get his bearings. Luckily, a tree had a crude arrow on it. Taking, likely, his own advice, he followed the arrow, and was soon on the road. The main city was to his left, nestled in its usual spot. He headed up, back to the city.

Approaching the gates, Luciel kept his head lowered to avoid the eyes of the guards to make it clear that he had no interest in interacting with them. Fear or choice was left in their hands, and it was simply an understood formality for the demon priest.
In all honesty, he hadn't expected his company to reply. Her admittance of the state she saw herself dug a hole into Luci's heart as he imagine she had tried and simply found a reason to abandon her efforts. The hardship and ridicule sustained in that time was all in vain, though...how would one's time spend in hostility lighten the hostility?

Humanity was afraid of their own death and the death they had sustained. Now was no time to take risks, especially when they had everything to lose. Regardless, Luci saw the bridge he had endeavored to make, and letting it crumble in a moment of weakness was far from his intentions.

Thoughts spun through his head from the turmoil that the idea of having company left. He had been fine with being alone and letting his trial be his own stand against humanity...but...

A gentle click of claws met each-other as Aya's met the armored plates of Luciel's porcelain-esque doll-like flesh. Softly, the priest lowered his hand from his side to accept Aya's. The feeling was foreign and strange in ways he could not explain, even as she spoke with implication.
He was simply responsible for another being.

It was...different.
Unlike his hollow care for humanity and the point he wanted to drive home into their hearts and bellies, something from the city came to him. Something that he did not deserve, and most certainly did not deserve him and the light tremble in his hand as their fingers laced.
His home was small and had taken time to make. He was loathe to make her sleep in the cold and could only accommodate her with his own accommodations. There was more food than even two empty stomachs could hold, and he knew how to fight off predators and demons alike. As many reasons that he could think of to turn her away and seek a 'better' life among humanity, Luci had twice as many good reasons to shelter her...save for one.

Numbly, Luciel walked with a reassuring grip on Aya's hand. He could not abandon her even if his life depended on it as they were so suddenly the same. "I..uhh..." he stammered, having acted instinctually with his hands falling from the silver. His eyes didn't even glance in her direction, though understood what was happening. "I haf room if a guest vould suffer eit" he chuckled in offering, the hold on her hand tightening in reassurance.
Regardless of his feelings, as one of his own...the only of his own that he knew, he silently promised to protect her. Whatever it meant at the time, she was worth more than the whole of humanity.

The first anyone to give him a chance with everything they would anything.
How dare he not reply in kind?

He smiled at Brielle feeling a sort off odd old feeling welling up inside of him. Oh how he wished youth didn't go by so fast in these times, the children of the world all have to grow up so quickly now. He wondered what life would have been like before the demons attacked. He walked in now, headed straight for his desk and stood in place looking over what he'd left from the day before. He was a tad early, but students soon poured into the room, some stopping to greet him this early morning. This was always his favorite part of the day, seeing the kids smile as they entered, excited to learn more about the world.

He looked down at his desk and found his hands moving to the drawer on one side, from which he pulled out a strange dusty notebook. After a few minutes of waiting the classroom had soon filled up with the youthful blood of the community.

"Good morning class, I have a bit of exciting news for you today. Now I know you all expected us to be going over flora and fauna all day and some of you weren't so fond of that. But we've had a slight change in today's lesson. We'll still cover the basics of this, but we aren't going too deep. Because today I've brought in a guest for you all. She's actually a close friend of mine, her name is Brielle and she and I will be demonstrating some sparing for you today. You'll also be able to spar with your peers. Now then, Brielle...would you please come up here and introduce yourself this morning?"

He smiled sweetly in her direction giving her a welcoming gesture to walk to the front of the class. The entire student body applauded and smiled waiting for her to walk.
