Think of it as the staff being more delusional than the students. That's pretty much likely the case, to say the truth.

Also, with the lack of new nations this is the best I can imagine. Note: Narc’s Romans in the south who never lost Italy to the Goths and are centralizing the fight against the Turks successfully rather than getting roflstomped. New adjustments may happen over time and new information, but it's what I got. It's neat, right?
