Patched the Ashe/Skye collab post from earlier, missed a one-line thought while stitching it together.

See kids, this is why taking a reading comprehension class helps. You miss small/important details for half a week otherwise.

Didn't we shft to fluid time last time classes rolled around? Otherwise you jsut get into that whole deadline mess again...

To be fair most of us have started doing thins because class hasn't started yet and we're just shooting the shit until that time comes. Now we're in that paradox of "There's not timelimit so we'll do whatever until something starts, but there's something going on so we won't make a timelimit and make them end it". Personally I'd say we start class officially already.

@Forsythe I specifically did not immediately start classes for the sake of the new students actually being able to meet others. Also the only faculty post I have made so far is "head to your fourth period classes."

If people stopped leaving so often then I probably would've considered the thing you mentioned and ask if we should skip straight to the start of class (so you're not necessarily wrong to think that). But for now, I'm playing it safe for our new characters.

Hm, fair enough.

I'd say that at this point, Port and Chatsworth will have had to have been doing something important (like fetching Ozpin his favorite brand of coffee at the nearest store). The Armory class is basically teaching itself and students have been basically shooting the shit for ten to twenty minutes IC. But we've still got a newcomer or two who need to get themselves involved, right?

I ask myself that everyday. But if I knew the awnser I wouldn't need to be asking the question would I?

@Lucius Cypher You can just shut up if you're not going to answer. I was answering about Forsythe's question of why we didn't skip straight to classes starting, not about a deadline question. The Armory is different from Grimm Studies in that you can pretty much just start doing your business if you arrive early for class.

Ouch, so savage Nyanya. Tasty. Speaking honestly, I though Forsythe was asking why mention moving things along (deadlines) at all when we would just do things at a more natural pace I.e. Instead of saying that class or whatever will move on when you post on Tuesday, you just have Port or whoever the teacher is arrive, say a few things, and have him start a lecture or something. To which I reply, perhaps mistakenly, that you were not going to put a deadline so we would all have a chance to interact prior to class beginning. Though some of us are just interacting to have something to do until class starts.

So then we in this loop where this is suppose to be our time to have our characters (mainly new ones) interact and maeet with others. As to not pressure them into posting or missing out and inadvertently becoming loners, you're not putting a date on when the class will start so everyone gets a chance. But because class isn't starting, Some of us are just messing around until you begin, which we can't really do until all the new guys have introduced themselves.

Tl:dr i think we're waiting for the class to start, but Nyanya is waiting for the new guys to post first, but it's been some time and no one wants to get stuck waiting, so Nyanya is going to post this Tuesday to move us along.

I know what you're talking about, as it is a valid thought. At the moment I'm setting deadlines for myself mostly because it's the co-GM posting format I'm most used to from Old Guild. It also ensures that I will post and progress the classes and missions and etc. However, I'm gonna steadily try out a more lax posting format for co-GM-related posts/events after I get more used to all this, and the roster is stabilized.

As you wish, Nyanya. I would still like the chances to joke about myself when the opportunities arises.

Speaking of missions, will you be in charge of all missions or allow players to control the plot and antagonists? I'm mostly asking since, if we're not going to do an overarching plot, I could at least get something like it if I made missions with continuity between them. Not exactly relivant right now but may as well ask sooner than after.

@Lucius Cypher I've been thinking about continuity missions but I haven't particularly done anything for it yet. But yes, the missions still have their antagonists/plot chosen by players.

@NarayanK As I said, not entirely important now. We can discuss more when you need/want to. I'm only asking because, as I write my Summer Contest entry, I have ideas in my head that I want to use but would be more enjoyable if I used them on others instead of just myself.

To the fucking bane of my entire team, yeah.

I had the benefit of the teams I was antagonizing to sabotage themselves. SASG had sapphire go scouting solo and accidentally TRIGGER the siren, where RPGD had two players severely wound themselves because the bullets that I meant to drain chunks of their Aura, they had cut right through and like rip open their fucking shoulders and shit.

Thankfully Robert (Guess Who) didn't follow that line of thought, or Rob woild be dead as dicks right now by chainsaw bisection

Ah, but that's what makes it fun! It gives everyone a chance to become a killer GM without the responsibilities of actually being a GM.

Awesome. Cause one day I wanna try my hand at making a mission. And if I do well enough I would like to make related follow-ups.
