As much as I'm sure you would like it to have been a stalemate, that would be very unlikely. You didn't research the fleet OOC to gain the knowledge you needed to bring in a proper fleet, which wouldn't have been metagaming since your fleet could have done their own IC scouting. You brought frigates to fight battleships and dreadnoughts, with only 2 command ships as heavy support, and then you left one behind when it got attacked. It's up to you to fight them off, but instead you just accepted every attack I made as a success. So let's not talk about things being 'less fun' when it was you who accepted the level of damage. As I said, as much as I'm sure you'd love a stalemate that would be highly illogical. Chances are your fleet was completely destroyed. The Black Hand had nobreason to retreat from the battle and it's unlikely they took any capitol ship losses. They likely took heavy fighter/bomber losses however.

Somewhat too late to respond to it, but considering you took the bait of the capital ships exactly as I had in mind, and that there were a considerable number of actions I could have taken to fend off, if not cripple, the invading fleet, I feel a stalemate was reasonable. I was happy to write out the whole battle and then lose, but considering you'd already decided which ships of yours had survived, no matter what actually occurred in the battle, it did in fact seem less fun to write. Evidently I don't mind putting myself at a disadvantage, or I would have magicked up some more ships right at the start. It's being told not only the conclusion, but the extent of the outcome before we've even put it down that I find dull.

I'm still curious as to where I set down any outcomes, conclusions, or anything really. You keep acting as if we started the battle and I just said "I win and don't lose anything" and it's getting rather dull. Sure, maybe you wanted me to attack your capital ships and maybe that's exactly what I did. But that doesn't really make it a good thing on your side now does it? You lost a command ship right away, and your frigates didn't have the firepower to take out Providence class ships. They would have been destroyed easily enough had they continued to be so close to the other ships. Their speed didn't mean anything when they were moving THROUGH the lines of my fleet. You only had one ship that could do much damage to them and that was the last remaining command ship which, you were apparently going to try boarding one of the ships with. If you had tried that, the ship would have likely been heavily damaged just trying to get close enough to board, if not destroyed entirely.

I didn't make any absolute decisions except for one which was a mistake on my part and I meant to leave it open for you to fend off the boarding pods. The only time I decided the outcome of the fight was when you disappeared and I got the okay from Sigma to move on from the fight.

Honestly I preferred to pretend it never happened as it seemed unlikely they would have appeared so instantaneously after the other fleet had been destroyed, as they were going to warp out of the sector the moment they had what they wanted. Your timing seemed a bit like metagaming just to start a fight. Admittedly I didn't notice that anyone even controlled that sector, but even still (And I know I didn't specify this) it's not as if the Black Hand just sat around waiting for hours on end for the other fleet. They warped in shortly before the acclamators showed up, destroyed them, and then were going to leave. But instead, your fleet seemed to show up in a matter of moments.

*waves hand vaguely*

This is not the argument you are looking for!

Zacharius, Bell, it seems to me that both of you entered the fleet battle with different preconceptions as to what would happen and what to expect from the other poster. I'm not sure to what extent you talked with each other before the fact, but it seems to me that this whole thing was due to a misunderstanding by both parties.

Zacharius, perhaps you should come into the chat sometime? Bell hangs around there often enough, and you two can work things out there and more fluidly express your points without having to frustrate each other here on the forums.

Well like I said, I didn't see that anyone actually owned that sector so we didn't talk at all I thought that I was setting up the scene in an unowned sector.

On that note: I can't really do anything until Darkspleen posts, and I haven't been able to catch Shimmerene for a collab recently. I'll keep trying to do so, but I may not be able to post for a while depending.

Nation Name: True Mandalorians

Government Type: Clan based Republic

Capital: Norg Cin Fortress, Concordia

Home Sector: Mandalore Sector

Holdings: Concordia: one of two moons orbiting the planet Mandalore, Concordia is the only other source of Beskar Iron aside from Mandalore itself.

Leaer(s): Canderouse Lok, aka Mandalore the Victor.
(Te Parjai Mand'alore)

Persons of Importance: Canderouse Lok, Shae Vizsla, Kal Skirata, Walon Vau

Military: Clan Lok, the leading force behind the True Mandalorians Faction, has allways put heavy industry into military. The fleet consists of a mix of personal ships, ranging from X-wings and Y-wings to Basilisk War Droids and Dreadnoughts. The pride of their fleet are the new and improved Kandosii-type II Dreadnoughts, which sport 60 heavy disruptor cannons as well as missiles and point defence guns as seen with the old models.
In addition, they have put much efgort into creating a number of Crusader-class Corvettes and a mess of scavenged star destroyers, some dating back nearly to the old republic.

Their land forces consist chiefly of armed Mandalorians supported by BL- Battle Legionare droids and a variety of scavenged tanks from all across the galaxy.

History: Years before the Clone Wars, the True Mandalorians and the Deathwatch waged a bitter war. The Deathwatch were lead by Tor Vizsla, the father of Pre Vizsla, while the true Mandalorians were lead by Jaster Mereel, adopted father of Jango Fett. With the Death of Mereel and the crippling of Concord Dawn, Jango's homeworld, the young Fett took command.
He was later betrayed by his allies, his men slaughtered by the Jedi lead by a young Count Dooku on the planet Galidraan. That was believed to be the end of the True Mandalorians, as Jango dissapeared from his role as leader of the clans, leading to Satine Kryze's rise to power.
However, this was not the end. A younger Mandalorian by the name of Galvin Lok survived Galidraan and set off to rebuild.
In secret, the young Lok got many followers, including clans Skirata, Bralor, and Kelborn.
As the New Mandalorians and Deathwatch fought, the True Mandalorians watched and waited from their base at the Capital of Clan Lok on Mandalore's moon Concordia, where they amassed their forces and resources.
They became the largest in the Beskar trade, amassing a huge fortune for themselves.
When the Dutchess fell, they were prepared to strike, but when the Paladin took his rise their plans were thrown askew.
Disgusted that he would ally himself with the Jedi whom slaughtered their people, Galvin attempted to step forward and make a Coupe, he failed when some of his own followers, Deathwatch sleeper agenta, betrayed him.
As he died, his bodyguard and friend Canderouse, a former Clone Commando who had deserted the grand army, swore revenge on the Deathwatch.
After a bitter war, Canderouse succeeded in slaughtering a large part of House Vizsla and returned to Concordia where the True Mandalorians crowned him Mand'alore, granting him the title of te parjai, or, the victorious.
He now stands in defiance of the hated "Grand Rrpublic" as a symbole of the ancient warriors of old. He has not moved for war, but he hates Jedi and Deathwatch with a vengeance.

Other: Clan Lok, as they are often referred to because that clan furnishes over two tbirds of their respurces and strength, currently holds a near monopoly on the beskar trade due to the fact they were able to continue after Satine shut down all other mines. During the chaos that was the clone wars, they methodically seized many beskar mines and repurposed then as their own "war forges."

They currently loan a mercenary army to whomever will buy it, but the beskar they sell only to those they deem worthy.

I admire your enthusiasm for the Mandalorians and wanting to RP as them, but this RP has been dead for three years. My suggestion would be to find something a tad more recent and lively, or maybe look towards starting your own RP.
