E P I S O D E I: R E B I R T H - C O N C L U S I O N

L O U I S I A N A :

July 17th, 2017 - 20:11 | Stonechat Museum - St. Roch

Lion-Mane rushed towards the Warden, the predator deeming the Question the lesser threat as he the humanoid feline tossed crates of precious artifacts out of his way. Hitting the ground, the wood splintered and cracked as priceless relics were tossed everywhich direction. From one such box, a Roman gladius was sent spinning across the floor accompanied by a Gaul weighted net which had ensarned the sheathed weapon. The pair of armaments coming to a halt just beyond the reach of the Question.

Slashing the air wildly with his claws, Lion-Man attempted to maul the plantoid before him as he roared ferociously, spraying salivia into the air.

"I'll turn you to sawdust!"

"I am not a tree, so I am doubtful of that working too well" The Warden observes as he vaults up a nearby pillar with two vines, and slashing at the lion man with the third one.

Catching the vine around with paw, Lion-Mane gave it a yank, attempting to drag the Warden towards him as he pulled back his other paw, claws extending as he wound up for a swing.

The Warden pulls right back, testing the lion's strenght while setting up to use the momentum of the pull to his advantage if his test fails.

Scrambling forward, Question grabbed the net and gladius, unsheathing the former and wielding it in his dominant left hand. With his right, he threw the net towards Lion-Mane, with the intent of entangling him in it. 'Capture him in net. Should incapacitate him for a moment. Give time to think of way to take him down.'

The net entangled the man-beast as he was caught offguard while the Warden pulled him off balance. Releasing the vines snared around his paw, Lion-Mane roared as he easily shredded the ancient net. The aged fibers coming apart and disintegrating into dust as the warehouse was filled with a hearty laugh.

"You think these tools will save you. Mortal, you face a god!" He taunted, his full attention now on the Question who stood nearby, only he short blade providing any sort of protection.

"I would have thought you'd bring real weapons against me if you came to do battle, yet you carry a butter knife. I will enjoy using it to spread your blood." Dropping to all fours, the feline man ran forward, leaping into the air, claws and teeth outstretched as he pounced upon the Question.

"Have at you, you fucking bastard!" Question shouts, attempting to drive the gladius through Lion-Mane's chest as he is pounced upon.

At that moment, before the beast would have most likely crushed Question with it's mass - despite the Gladius in his arms. The window to the warehouse house soon shattered and Lizard jumped in through it.

Then with a quick pounce jumped forward, just managing to use her momentum to impact Lion-Mane in his side and away from crushing the conspiracy detective.

Oh yeah! Time to get ugly, flea-ball!" roared Lizard, in a challenge, getting back up to her feet and readying her fists.

A low rumble came from Lion-Mane's chest as he reared himself up to his full height. Standing nearly three feet above the Lizard, he looked down on the young girl, his body shaking ever so slightly with mirth as a smile crossed his face.

"Aren't you a fiesty one?" He smiled wickedly. "Perhaps after I've proved my domination over you, you'd make a fine bride." With a sweep of his paw, Lion-Mane tossed a crate towards Lizard before rushing forward, maw open and claws extended as he intended to leave a mark on the small lizard girl.

The Warden, now swinging from the rafters, decides that now is probably a pretty good time to jump back in, and throws himself down at the Lion Man's head while whipping around his brambly vine towards his legs.

Question, after picking himself and his gladius off the floor, jumps back into the fight as well by running forward, coming to a stop with a crouch, and swinging his gladius at Lion-Mane's ankles. 'Just like Achilles; a mighty warrior, seemingly undefeatable, but just one hit to the right place will topple him.'

"First of all....ew. Secondly-" spoke Lizard, curling into a ball and rolling under the create. Before she ducked underneath his jump and mouth and clocked him straight in the jaw.

"-you think you're bad enough to be able to deal with me?" she laughed, circling Lion-Mane in her own predatory stance. "I got more sharp teeth than you, big cat."

Backhanding the Question away from him, blood was spilled from the cat-man's hand as a swing of the gladius pierced fur and flesh. A yowl rang out through the warehouse as the Lion-Mane forewent taunting his foes and instead took Lizard by the ankles, swinging her into the air before using his free hand to take ahold of her flaying arms, swiming the girl down hard and splintering the pavement beneath her.

"I will feast on the marrow in your bones!" He roared turning his full attention to the Warden. "Save for you, man of plant. For you, I will light a fire, burning you to ash before I spread you through the wind, the smell of my excrement clinging every last piece of dust."

Suddenly a blinding emerald flash filled the room as a robed woman appeared behind Lion-Mane. With a flick of her hand, chains composed purely of mystical energy appeared from the air around the three Leaguers as they bound them tightly.

"Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?" The woman asked tauntingly in a dry tone. "None the less, play time here is over. You can have your fun another day." She stated, raising her other hand as the same brilliant light from before enveloped the pair. As the room dimmed, the chains disappeared from around the Question, Warden and Lizard as the three were left alone with no sign of the woman or Lion-Mane.

Having been knocked out by Lion-Mane's backhand, Question groggily awoke during the woman's appearance and saw her make off with Lion-Mane, jumping to his feet in a mixed burst of adrenaline and joy after the chains disappear. "I KNEW IT! THE ILLUMINATI HAS COLLECTED LION-MANE IN ORDER TO USE HIM AGAINST US AT A LATER DATE! THEY ALL THOUGHT I WAS INSANE, BUT I WAS RIGHT!" The faceless detective shot his fists in the air in excitement, doing a mini dance to celebrate his pseudo victory.

After a little jig, Question comes to a grinding halt, suddenly remembering his teammates nearby. He looks at them, blushing slightly underneath his mask but seeming calm and collected once more. With a clearing of his throat, he says, in a deadpan monotone contrasting sharply with his previous energetic yelling: "Knew it."

"Whatever....can anybody explain what that had just been? I thought most hokus-pokus users were under the jurisdiction of the League," spoke Lizard, as she pulled herself up and helped Warden also up.

"Also where did Rose disappear off to? I thought, she'd be here before me?" she added.

She was a woman and she was wearing a robe... Fancy Man showing emotion... well... no face...but the same idea... The Warden thinks, considering this brief newcomer.

"Think hard, think of anything about her that was memorable, and I will do the same. Batman is a smart one, but he will want and need all information you can give. I will check on Rose." he finishes, moving back towards the lobby.

As the Warden moved back towards the lobby, the figure of the Bat filled the doorway, Rose in tow behind him.

"Gone." The Bat stated as he observed the scene, looking at the three new heroes and the mess of the warehouse.

Moving out from behind the Bat, Rose began to circle the room.

"Did anyone find the damn archaeologist?" She asked before pausing several feet away from the other members of the team. At her feet was the mauled corpse of a man, his head twisted completely around, smashed glasses laid beside his limp, contorted body. A twinge of guilt made its prescence known in Rose's stomach as she look at the body in front of her. Bite marks were taken out of his abdomen once again reinforcing the idea that Lion-Mane was more beast than man.

"The archaeologist," Rose paused, choosing her next words carefully before deciding on blunt. "Lion-Mane fuckin' killed him." Rose stated looking back towards everyone else.

"Report back to the jump ship." Batman ordered to the gathered group. "We'll debrief in Metropolis, you three-" Batman said as he looked towards the Lizard, Question and Warden. "I'll need a full report with all the details. You-" He continued turning to Rose. "You'll be required to report for a disciplinary hearing and full psychiatric evalution." With that, the Dark Knight turned and led the way to the vessel awaiting the team's departure.

July 20th, 2017 - 14:34 | Metro Tower - Metropolis

"I'm no meta, alien, or paranormal, so don't paint me across the back wall. Other than that, don't damage the hat, and, uh...try your best."

'Awww, dammit...'

Until very, very recently, Duncan had spent most of his adult life avoiding these kinds of situations; specifically, ones where he might accidentally pop another human-being open like a goddamned grapefruit. So, if Chester's words were meant to put him at ease, then... well... they fell rather short in that regard.

Almost as quickly as the Rookie fell back into his stance, he fell out of it again, eyes closing and hands dropping as he gave a weary sigh; There were some other things he'd have to go over, too.

"Alright, well look... I'm not just strong, I'm also pretty... resilient so you might not want to..." He began to explain, moments before his eyes opened again to catch the sight of Whiplash's fist colliding with his face with a loud impact that echoed for just a bit too long throughout the whole room "...Do that."

There was a brief moment of frozen silence between the two; with Duncan just staring unbelievingly at the fleshy appendage pressed against his forehead, and then finally back to the man it belonged to as he asked perhaps the most important question of the minute-

"Uhh... you alright there, Tex?"

"JESUS H CHRIST SON OF MOTHER MARY Y'ALL GOT A HEAD LIKE A BULL'S ASS IN HEAT."

Chester whipped his hand back, clutching his fingers. There had been a nasty crack. He was sure that at least two fingers were broken, and Chester hastily tore a strip from his sleeve to bind the already-red digits together tightly - it would do until he could splint it later in the evening. Duncan watched him carefully and Chester watched him back, eyeballing the Rookie.

"That counts as one to me, right? He asked, looking to Wildcat, who watched the pair silently from the sidelines. Chester felt those eyes on his back again. "I mean, I landed a hit. Y'all never sparred before, Rookie?"

"It would seem, physical force is not the answer, Whiplash." Wildcat interjected. "And that's not how you make a fist." He added, walking towards the pair as he took a hold of Chester's injured hand. Without a word, he flatened out the fingers before the room suddenly echoed with a slight 'POP' as Wildcat reinserted a dislocated finger.

"Get a splint on that now, no point in letting it set incorrectly." He ordered, turning to the Rookie to speak only to be interupted by a blinding flash of golden light. In the middle of the room, a man clad in a blue cape and gold helmet fell to his knees as he reached a hand out. While the figure might be a mystery to the newer members of the League,Wildcat was more than familiar with the man who had recruited him to the Justice Society so many years ago.

"Friend of yours...?" The Rookie began to inquire somewhat incredulously, but Ted was hardly listening.

"Fate!" Wildcat yelled as he ran forward to support the man.

"Wait, Fate? that's Doctor Fate?"

"Recruits, go! Gather the League, Doctor Fate does not appear without reason."

"Oh, right, uhh... sure." Duncan quickly responded, abruptly snapping out of his confusion about just how quickly the whole situation had turned on it's head, before turning on his heel and kicking off from the ground with enough force to leave small cracks in the floor as he closed the gap between the center of the huge training room and the door in one leap, slapping the big red button on the comms console beside it as he landed gently as he could and waiting for it to chirp three times to confirm that he had the entirity of the tower's PA system on the line before he began to talk "Hey guys? Not to abuse the 'Broadcast All' button, but... Doctor Fuckin' Fate just showed up in the training room, and he looks pretty beat up. You might wanna get down here."

"Theodore." Doctor Fate said, his voice strained. "Something terrible is coming."

"Save your strength Nelson," Ted ordered. "You'll need to tell the League." Guiding the man to his feet, Fate reached towards his helmet, struggling to remove it.

"Theodore, help me remove this helmet." The voice of Nabu requested as Nelson reached towards the golden headpiece. Nodding, Ted put his hands on either side of the helmet as he pulled the helmet off. Beneath was the face of a man, over half a century younger than he should have been.

"Nelson, you're..."

"Now is not the time, Theodore." Kent answered dismissively as members of the League began to file into the room.

"Doctor Fate." The steely voice of the Dark Knight broke the silence as Superman and Green Lantern joined him. Behind the League's founders were the sophomores, Amazing Man, Fire, Ice, Amubsh Bug and Vibe. Lastly came the new recruits, the returned Rookie, and Whiplash among numerous others.

"Dark Knight of Gotham." Nelson called stumbling forward. "Metropolis' Man of Tomorrow and you, the Emerald Warrior." He continued, steadying himself on Wildcat's shoulder. "Something terrible has happened. an abnormality has appeared in the time stream." Stumbling, Kent fell foward as Wildcat tried to catch him. "Extant is coming."

Suddenly, Kent's chest tightened and he stumbled backwards coughing. The coughing fit continued as he flayed about wildy, tripping foward as a sneeze erupted from the man's lungs. Mist sprayed from Fate's nostrils before it struck the Lizard, Rookie, Captain Marvel and Polarity Man. The snot sticking to their skin before suddenly disappearing as it seeped through their pores.

A voice could be heard as Rose Wilson spoke the words on everyone's mind.

"Well, that was fuckin' disgusting."

Episode: 5 - Kids These Days

Metropolis, Metro Tower...

It had been a long day for the heroes in the League. Some of the newer recruits were still raw with little to no field experience. They'd been training for hours with Wildcat, a hero still kicking way past his prime in the 40's and 50's. Superman and a group of heroes had just arrived minutes before the arrival of one of Wildcat's former teammates. Doctor Fate looked rough, and warned of a being called Extant before sneezing on a handful of Leaguers. Superman really wanted to get home to his wife and his daughter Lara, who should've already made it back to Metropolis on the bus despite her father wanting her to use her gifts. Extant appeared before the League and with his ability to shift time and alter reality froze those in his line of vision in place. Solara, a Kryptonian powerhouse on par with Superman used her incredible speed to try and floor the opponent with a low blow, like she had done to Lobo earlier in the day.

"Ah... a Kryptonian." Extant boasted freezing her in place after her eyes grew wide that he didn't drop, "What to do with you... how about I throw you back to the 1930's so you can watch your home planet explode?" he asked with a wave of his hand sending her back in time to watch the planet's end.

He turned to look at other heroes who were mounting an attack and with a wave of his hand threw Vibe and Fire through a window at least fifty feet high. However, his attack had no effect on the hooded champion of the wizard and he got a few good punches in before being grabbed by the face and thrown into frozen Leaguers. Keeping them all suspending was a constant tax on his powers so he thought of a way to take the most of them out of the fight.

"I see Fate hiding back there... Cheating time and death yet again I see with your friend Wildcat. Let's see how you like being your age old man!" Extant screamed and turning both Fate and Wildcat into men easily in their 80's.

"The rest of you can share their FATE... see what I did there?" Extant asked with a smirk as he aged several of the other heroes... but it appeared more than just the hooded Marvel was unaffected.

The lizard girl, the negative man in the mecha suit, the Lex Corp sponsored hero Clutch, and the t-shirt wearing Rookie were also immune to the majority of the villains attacks. Superman, old and barely able to walk forward in any speed, as well as balding, tried to mutter a question. Reaching up for Extant after taking a fall hard onto the steel floor of the Metro Tower.

"W--W--Why...?" he asked.

"Because I can!" Extant exclaimed before noticing the heroes unphased by his power. "I don't know what tricks you're playing, but let's see how you handle fighting your own teammates!" he screamed taking a few of the Leaguers yet to be aged into the air and morphing their physiology.

Clayface was now even more monstrous. The Warden had become completely engulfed by plant matter and was something like Swamp Thing mixed with an alien from the Independence Day films. And Toon Girl was morphed into a more violent looking cartoon, like something out of a Japanese series. These three still had their conscience, but couldn't stop themselves from attacking their friends and comrades. They gave chase throughout the Tower, while the other aged heroes just made fools of themselves. Bulleteer was barely a hundred pounds and his helmet felt like it weighed a ton and he fell over head first into a fountain. His clothes were loose. His muscles were gone. And he really needed to use the bathroom.

"I'll find you Justice League Losers eventually. And when I do, what I did to that Kryptonian bitch will look like child's play. DO YOU HEAR ME?! CHILD'S PLAY!!" Extant screamed dropping to his feet after exerting so much power into aging the heroes and morphing the three into his personal guard.

Across town, at the apartment of the Kents...

"Lara, your Dad should be home soon..." Lois yelled into her living room from her kitchen to find her daughter had left. There was a text on her phone moments later that read "Back soon."

July 20th, 2017 - 15:37 | Metro Tower - Metropolis

Extant's method of attack had been... unexpected to say the least. Rose was hardly a fan of her push-up bra going from a nice touch to necessary as every ounce of her normally toned body began to lose it's perkiness. Possessing the demeanor of a pouty child, Extant had warped the League into shells of what they once were.

"What the actual fuck did we ever do to you dearie?"She asked the nearly all powerful being.

Did I just fuckin' say dearie?

"Fuck, I damn well did." Rose exclaimed aloud. "Ugh, if I buy a cat or start playing bridge and bingo, one of you fuckin' super-zeroes is going to have to put a damn bullet through my brain." Rose lamented as all around her things went to hell.

Extant had warped several of their teammates into monsterous versions of themselves, causing Rose to make a move to run. As she did, her legs nearly gave out beneath her as she tried to evasively flip away from their attacks.

"Damn this all to fuckin' hell." Rose screamed as she reached for her pistols, pulling the weapons and firing. The recoil from the guns hurt worst than she could have imagined as her bullets were fired at angles that were anything but accurate. Crying out in pain, the guns fell from Rose's limp hands as she crawled on the ground.

"I'm going to feed that bitch, Extant his own fuckin' extremities when this is damn well over." She cursed.rolling to avoid an attack as she reached for one of her swords. Never before had she had such trouble trying to draw the weapon from its sheath as she did now. The sword barely budged, and even with both hands, the weapon was far too heavy to be useful to Rose at the moment.

"You all are so fuckin' lucky I can't use any of my damn good weapons!" Rose screeched as she reached to her belt, activating an energy sword. "But I'll still make sure this fuckin' hurts!" She promised, swinging the cutlass shaped blade through the air. Suddenly the room began to dim until suddenly it was dark. Rose could only see the faintest shapes as she suddenly realized what had just happened to her.

Her free hand traced her face stopping by what had, until moments ago, been her good eye. In a panic, Rose began to wildly swing the energy blade as she stumbled backwards, her free hand stretched out behind her as she sought to get her back against the wall.

Rose had gone blind.

EPISODE 5
KIDS THESE DAYS

It was just after they had gotten off the jet from St. Roch that the alert came in: Doctor Fate was in the tower, and he was injured. Question, along with his group, made their way to the gym to find the legendary man on the ground, with Wildcat attending to him. He explained the situation, then sneezed on a group of four. Rose voiced Question's thoughts perfectly at that very moment.

As if on cue, Extant appeared in the room. 'Powerful foe. Able to manipulate reality to his own will. Need to find way to distract him, have Superman deliver final blow, and-' The masked conspiracy theorist's thoughts came to a sudden halt, as Extant aged Wildcat and Doctor Fate to their proper ages, before aging the rest of the League as well. As his body became weaker, his hair grayed, and his pseudoderm mask barely held onto his wrinkling face, he barely had time to notice that the four Doctor Fate had sneezed on were unaffected before he collapsed.

A few moments later, the old man pushed himself up. "You damn hooligan! Look at what you did to..." Question paused. "Who's that guy?" He took off his fedora and scratched his head in confusion, noticing a woman around his own age firing pistols at that one whatshisface before pulling out a sword, then swinging it around before feeling her eyes and stumbling back against the wall. 'What's that lady's name again...? I dunno, but I feel like she's an asshole... What was I thinking about?' The now-elderly conspiracy theorist paid no mind to his elderly teammates, young teammates, and temporarily evil teammates while he wondered what the hell this building was and why all these people were here.

Monny A.K.A. Clayface in
Episode 5

It was good to see all of the Justice League in one place. It warmed Monny's heart, the fact that it didn't actually have one wasn't thought about. Instead it watched members, both old and new begin to cluster together. Bonding, it was something Monny had always wanted since it became to be. And now was it's first opportunity to do so without pretending to be something it wasn't.

A wide grin spread across the clay monster's face as it searched the crowd for the face of the one person it wanted to interact with most of all. So intent in it's search and discovery of one, Lucy Light, also known as Toon girl, Monny completely missed the first half of the attack by Extant. It wasn't until it watched Lucy change into a different form that it began to realize something was wrong.

But it was too late. Monny's viewpoint changed as it grew and the monster tried to change back but it's mud didn't listen to it. Instead it moved, lumbering, in a direction completely different and lashed out with an even more massive arm that was wrong. Monny didn't like hardened clay. Nor did it like little spikes, yet that was what it's arm was covered with.

"Sorry." Monny said horrified as it swatted at Ms. Wilson. Thankfully she ducked out of the way. Nor did she seem to hear as she began to spew vulgarities and curses at everyone. At least she was out of range now since it's mindless body moved to it's next target, swinging it's large arms wildly.

Toon Girl in Episode 5

Another successful mission! It would have been far more considerate of Brainwave to play along instead of getting decked in the face by that big hooded shazam guy, but at least it was better than having Toon Girl crush his bones in a hug. Seeing as there was a bit of off time, Light wanted to go and look around for some people to chat with. After all, she didn't know most of the heroes, and they all looked very interesting! Heck, one of them thought the same thing, the giant clay monster... of which Toon Girl didn't know his name. But hey, he was making an effort to come to her instead of her needing to go to him, so that was neat!

Though before any real pleasantries could be done, some guy teleported into the base sneezing on a few people before collapsing. This... 'doctor fate' wasn't really that good of a mage if he got overcome by some cold. But that wasn't the worst part, soon after ANOTHER guy came in and did some evil magic, warping most of the league members! Toon Girl having one of the weirder warps done to her, instead of aging, she turned into some kind of dark deco cartoon version of herself, her gloves completely gone to show her sharp fingers, which were more spindle-y to match. "What the..." was all she could say to this guy before she started to turn on her own, glancing menacingly at Shazam with an evil smile on her face.

"Guys! I'm a mind controlled zombie! You'd better run." Toon Girl said as she pulled multiple sticks of lit dynamite out of her dress, throwing them in the normal group's general direction, with the intention to try to get all the people she was told to chase. "Sorry, I can't stop! Be thankful they have long fuses!" Toon Girl said, bored at how things were going. Being especially bored at how she rushed Shazam with her claws out, instead of doing anything intelligent.

The Warden - - Episode 5 - - Thrall of Extant

All things considered, that mission went rather poorly. The target they were supposed to save died, the villain they were supposed to capture disappeared, and Batman was angry at Ravager for some reason. He'd have to ask the Question about this Illuminati theory at a later date, he seemed rather passionate about it, might be a good way to connect to him. There seemed to be even more guys here than there were at the opening event thing. At a certain point, doesn't this get to be a bit of an organizational nightmare? he wonders, as this new person with a funny helmet comes onto the scene, yelling something about an "Existant" (whatever that is), and then sneezing on people.

Then the Extant fellow really did show up. bit of a flair for the dramatic, really he thinks as his allies age around him, and he is turned into a creature even more monstrous than before. vines ripple out from inside of him and burst from his stomach. His skin greens and grows even more spines. his face distorts as vines move up through his neck and fill his mouth, bursting out like many thin tongues. his legs and arms become fully engulfed in plant matter, as the vines exploding from his mouth encircle his face and begin to grow leaves. Now, with only his eyes still left exposed, the transformation reached its conclusion. In a rather large bit of pain at this point, the unwilling conscious of The Warden mostly peters out for now, as he began to terrorize the elderly. Someone ain't getting his scout badge today.

shooting out vines, The Warden latches himself to the rafters and begins crawling towards Ravager, reaching for her - before her energy sword breaks off a vine. He recoils in pain, and it shocks him back awake. This makes little difference, given his current state, though The Warden is certainly doing his best to slow himself down as he continues to chase around others, eventually lowering himself downwards upside-down from the rafters and bringing himself face to face with the elderly Gypsy.

Meanwhile, the cut off vine begins to crawl towards Ravager.

D E L A W A R E :

July 20th, 2017 - 15:37 | Metro Tower - Metropolis

Not five minutes after Doctor Fate, Master of Mysticism and Legendary Hero of Yesterday arrived wounded, weakened and bearing portends of impending danger... did Duncan find himself taking a snot-rocket right to the face.

"Yyyup, that kinda figures..." The Rookie deadpanned, wiping a big chunk of nose-grease off his brow with the back of his hand "I swear, nothing happens in this place without something weird hitting me in the-"

He lost his train of thought around the same time he caught sight of all the mucus he'd just wiped off disappearing beneath the skin on his hand.

'Ohgodwhywhatthefuck.'

He didn't have too long to worry about that one either as, true to form, some other guy in spandex showed up and everything abruptly went to shit. Leaving him to stare in stunned silence as, among other things, Superman withered to anorexic size and lost most of his hair, Ravager began to sag in new and terrifying ways and Toon Girl turned into something that resembled something he'd walked in on his cousin Gordon watching that one time... who then abruptly chucked a bunch of TNT at his feet and everyone else who'd been standing in Fate's spray zone.

Looking around at all the now-elderly Leaguers surrounding him, he very quickly realized that the sudden entry of dynamite to the equation was a very bad thing.

"Shit, shit... SHITSHITSHITSHIT!" the Rookie screamed as he scrambled to pick up each stick and chuck them out the window as hard as he could, while at the same time dodging the massive, muddy mitts of the now-transformed Clayface who, true to his luck, started swinging at him at that exact moment when he couldn't safely make use of his superhuman speed without risking plowing into one of his now aged teammates and shattering them like glass.

To his credit, the guy actually managed to get all but one out the window before it blew up. To his... opposite of that, the second he managed to get a hold of that last one, Clayface scored a hit to the back of his skull, planting the Rookie's face into the hard floor with enough force to leave a crater. Seething with frustration and just a bit of pain as he slowly extricated from the floor, the resident Canuck cast a glance to the still-lit stick of dynamite in his hand, noting with more irritation than fear that he was running pretty damned low on fuse. And if the shadow that just cast itself over him was any indication, then his viscous opponent was about ready to pummel him again while he was still down.

Our Bluenoser cast a sideways glance to the Brown Behemoth standing over him... then back to the armed explosive in his hands... then back to Monny again as he let out a sigh.

"Fuck it."

And with that terse statement, the Haligonian would-be hero abruptly pushed himself off the ground with his one hand, spinning and launching himself right at Monny with speed as his other hand shot forward, intent on burying the lit boom-boom stick it carried right in the sentient mud-puddle's thick, gooey centre.

"Sorry, Bud! This might sting a little!"

E P I S O D E V: LIZARD

Lizard was in a slight confusion - seeing everybody turning into what resembled her parents. Well, not something she wasn't used to - the problem was when some of them, turned into more monstorous versions and tried to attack the others. She hated to do this - but otherwise, despite how weird their situation was it could get ugly fast.

Old people weren't the most enduring of folks. As such, when she saw Warden go after Rose and Gypsy - the reptile girl sadly had to act. "Sorry...Warden..." spoke, launching herself forward and slamming her shoulder into the tangling vine-man - to launch away from the elderly and away from injuring them heavily.

She quickly then jumped into the air, and smashed the vine-snake, that had been going towards Rose underneath her foot. It felt slimy but she stomped on it - till it stopped moving. "Rose...Rose...Rose...Lizard here, I am coming from side...trust me," she spoke - noticing that the old woman was panicking. Like her grandma used to do when she couldn't find her glasses and was blind as a bat.

Lizard quickly moved and picked her up, providing her with stability. Then quickly moving and evacuating her to the safe room - or in this case, the Monitor Room. It was likely the safest place she could think of - or rather the only place, where she could simply brace the doors and smack anyone that would try to enter the place. "I will place you here. I will be back soon Rose, keep calm and don't try to swing that blade too much...you will injure someone, be back quickly," spoke Lizard, making sure to repeat herself and speak in a slow yet high tone. To make sure she heard it or atleast understood it.

Soon enough, Lizard quickly ran back to get the others away - making sure to take along Q and Superman. "You guys got any ideas? Come on now...I can't handle you all by myself," she spoke - carrying them also away from the fighting.

EPISODE V: Apollex

Apollex stared down at her knobbly knees in shock. Her fingers met dry silver hair and split ends when she reached to touch it. She glanced in a reflective surface and found that she looked like her dear old Nana Farrell. She even had wrinkles! And she smelled like lemon cleaning detergent and mothballs. Not the best of smells.
"What the-" That was before she tried to take a step and nearly fell over. She looked around at her comrades, eyes straining against all of the various lights in the room. She noticed The Rookie (@Sir Lurksalot) battling it out with Monny and made to go to them. She was slower, much slower than she was supposed to be. Her knees buckled under her weight and she swore as she tried to haul herself up right again. Did she really need a walking stick?
"Don't worry, Rookie! I'm coming to help!"She coughed.

As she made her way through the space she looked around at her fellow elders. They all looked like her grandparents back at home and if there wasn't some sort of battle going on she would've found it comical. What she didn't find comical, however, was how some of the supposed heroes had suddenly turned into loathsome creatures. Honestly, they were all going to kill each other and she wasn't even sure if her healing powers worked.

Damn it all.

EPISODE 5

The Question had taken to staring blankly ahead and scratching his head, ignoring the carnage around him. 'The Illuminati is selling sex to children... No, that's the boy brands... Or was it bands?' Taking the time to sort through his conspiracy theories that were getting harder and harder to remember by the second, he didn't notice the reptilian young woman in the room until she grabbed him and another man in this weird suit.

Wait. Reptilian woman?

'That's not right... Hurm... Reptiles, reptiles, reptiles... A-ha! Reptiles are products of the Girl Scouts, manufactured to lower populations in boggy and dry biomes! ... Or was it the Illuminati who manufactured them?' The old man paid no mind to the fact that the reptilian woman was taking him away from the danger, instead shouting for his dear life: "THERE'S A HUMANOID, PEOPLE-EATING REPTILE HERE! EVACUATE, EVACUATE, EVACUATE! I REPEAT, THERE'S A..." Question trailed off for a moment.

She had led him and the other guy to this room with a bunch of monitors. For a brief second, Question felt a sense of familiarity with this room, though from how he remembered it it was much smaller, there was only one monitor, and for some reason the wallpaper was peeling. However, that sense of familiarity was gone the next second, instead shock and fear returning as his eyes set on the reptilian woman for what he thought was the first time. Tuning out what she said, the old man shouted at the top of his lungs: "AGH! A HUMANOID, PEOPLE-EATING REPTILE! EVERYONE OUT, I'LL HOLD HER OFF!"

The old man took a fighting stance, which quickly relaxed into a normal pose after a few seconds, the Question staring blankly ahead. "Why's my face got no face?" He asks after a moment.

EPISODE 5

They’re gonna laugh of me. If I bring this shirt, you’re gonna have a real party behind my back, I know it, Lara thought, judging outfit #62.
The alarm clock in her room claimed, she had been packing for 2 hours now, yet her suitcases were as empty as her stomach.
Lara ignored its growl and did her best to forget the life she had left behind to be this: a hero. Instead focusing on what really mattered: “The outfit doesn’t work! It’s horrible! Lara, you will be the laughing stocking of Metro Tower,” she told her reflection and threw a tank top across the room. She stepped closer and made damn sure the girl in the mirror knew, Lara wasn’t done with her. “First impressions are important, you see. You will want to wrap yourself in something that says: Hi, I’m a grown up. I take this serious. You can put your life in my hands, and … and dammit, why are you wearing a pink bra!”
The very first thing that caught her eye were the gym cloths on the chair, so a short sleeve jersey and a pair of workout shorts it was. Now looking more like someone who was going on a bike ride and less like a half-naked teen, Lara addressed her image once again.
“This might very well be the moment. Right here, right now, you make a choice, and you show everyone who you really are. So who are you really? Huh? Who are you? Who-“

"W--W--Why...?"

Lara turned around. Her father’s voice had not exactly been clear, yet his pain felt close. Enough to disrupt her rant. His speech had never sounded like that before. It reflected pain, doubt, even a hint of fear. But that was impossible, he only ever feared for his friends and love ones.
Had it been Lara's super hearing suddenly acting up? Had it been a sort of vision? Had it been an outside source? It didn’t matter. When she turned around it wasn’t a silly, little girl look back at her from the mirror. No, it was a force which wasn't constrained by the laws of this world or the boundaries of this reality. One that any negative power in the cosmos should fear.
She had never been more sure of anything in her life and before she knew it, the window was open and she was about to jump out of it. The physical capabilities of her telekinesis manifested itself naturally inside her body, enhancing the cells of her Kryptonian heritage. Like a supercharged battery, the power almost vibrated every inch of her being. And then she was off: Ran strait towards the window, jumped and followed up by soaring over the streets. The people of Metropolis looked so different from up there; no longer a thick crowd, but tiny ants in surrounding that both seemed fragile and precious.

Alright, not too bad for my first flight in 8 months. Now to find Metro Tower, it has totally got to be there Dad is, and... he’s in trouble, I think.
The gravity of the situation dimmed the sensational feeling of being in the air again. How she had missed it, and how it just felt so much more natural than walking. As Lara gained altitude she sped up, pushed her powers to the brink while ripping apart one cloud after another. From below, the sky no doubt started to take unnatural shapes. Like an oil painting where a silly teen made a long, broad line across. But that was the choice she was willing to make from now on. If her father was in trouble, there would be next to no limit to what Lara was willing to do.
Emptying seas.
Changing tides.
Filling canyons.
Ripping apart forest.
Turning mountains to gravel.
Lighting skies on fire

Episode 5 – Polarity Man: Magic Immune Mecha?!

The flight back to the Justice League’s headquarters was somewhat disappointing for Polarity Man. Though he tried, his blaster’s speed could not stop Warp’s near-instant spatial displacement and now an intergalactic menace was in the hands of known supervillains. Lawrence’s only solace was the fact that perhaps Lobo was also giving them hell as much as he gave the team earlier. After all, with an ego the size of the Main Man’s, there was no way the Czarnian would just allow himself to be captured so easily.

But this was all conjecture. The only thing that he knew for sure was that the Patroller Suit needed repairs, and decided to immediately head to his quarters in order to do so. However, as soon as he entered the building, an emergency meeting had been called at the League’s training facility regarding one Doctor Fate. Seeing as it’s the League’s home base and the mech might take up more space than it needs to, Polarity man decided to leave his mech suit at the lobby. After all, only he can get in and out of there.

Curious, Lawrence stood directly behind the mentors so he would hear what their visiting wizard had to say. Perhaps he was a bit too close though as the good doctor covered Polarity Man in a sheet of viscous nasal goo in the middle of his warning.

“… I don’t think I’m vaccinated for magic.” the lieutenant said after the mucus seeped into his irradiated skin’s bandages. This would become the least of his worries though as the villain Extant teleported in the middle of the room and unleashed his brand of chaos upon the League, affecting even the mightiest of them with atrophy except for a select few that included Lawrence.

“I see laws of time and space seem to be more suggestions.” said Polarity Man as he slowly stepped back to take the entire situation in. While most of his teammates’ bodies were now immobile, some of them became mutations and rebelled from their owner’s minds. Luckily for him though, they were occupied with the other Leaguers. Wait, that wasn’t lucky at all because some of those very same Leaguers were now liabilities in the battlefield and needed to be escorted to safety.

Following Lizard’s lead, Lawrence would attempt to bring at least one of his teammates to the lobby as he made a break back to his Patroller Suit. In his quick judgement, he would choose Apollex @ineffable as she cried out to Rookie, who was currently dealing with Clayface and Toon Girl. Running up to his fellow Leaguer, Lawrence would tap her by the shoulder.

“I’m sure Rookie will be fine. We need to get you out of here for now though.”

The Indispensable Blue Beetle

Episode 5

Today was the day.

After a thirty stiches, an arm cast, a cat scan and some agonizing days in the hospital Ted was a free man and his first point of interest was metropolis tower, home of the Justice League. BB hoped that someone had heard about his situation and informed the rest of the team of his time in the hospital. Man the team! The roster was something alone to marvel at with the classics like Green Lantern and B-man and the rookies like The Lizard and that one kid who didn't have a costume.

"What was that kid's name again?" Ted questioned aloud as he entered the Justice League HQ. and headed for the elevator.

"The Rook? The Rock? No, it was... the... Right! The Hookie because he's skipping school or something" Ted exclaimed in the empty elevator as he justified the obviously wrong name he gave to the the rookie hero. Despite this moment of stupidity, BB had actually been reading up on all the members of the League, both new and old, so he could get a grasp for what he was in for. So far he was most excited to be working with his old 'partner' The Question though it had been a while since he'd last seen Q and his mental state had the uncanny ability to spiral out of control. That being said Q and him always seemed to generally agree on topics that weren't just absurd statements like the Rwandan government infecting half the planet with tracer bacteria in preparation for an alien invasion. Finally the elevator dinged and Ted stepped out in order to greet his new team members.

Rather than being met with a warm welcome, Ted was met with a flush of horrible energy that made his bones and joints ache. He looked down at himself as he stumbled out of the elevator to see he'd gained quite a bit of weight in his gut and his skin was more than a little wrinkly. He looked up to see that most of the people in the room were changed in some way wether they be turned into some monstrous form or just flat out old.

"Some first day... this is..." Ted said in a raspy and exhausted voice and he fumbled to get his gun out. He guessed he had about one shot with the air blast before being knocked on his arse but there wasn't any recoil on the flash. Making a split second decision Ted hobbled his way over and directed the flash straight in the anime girl's eyes, hoping to stun her long enough for one of the unaffected heroes to get at her or at least evacuate some of them.

"Wait... is that... Amira?" Ted questioned as he looked at the anime girl more closely, through strained eyes.

Captain Marvel
in
Kids These Days

Marvel was rather sick of bouncing off of walls. He was yet again tossed about after having his face palmed and his body tossed across the room. He landed face-first on the ground, he stood up--his head rung disorient.

Kinder leaguers went about the business of assisting the elderly and making sure those effected by Extant's accelerated decomposition of their mortal coils were safe. Luckily for him, Captain Marvel was not among those with tampered biology thanks to some mystical snot. Never in his life had he been so appalled and thankful at the same time. A few of his fellow heroes had come under Extant's command and begun attacking the unaffected heroes. Najee would object the harm of another teammate; Marvel was a warrior who lived for battle and destruction--all in the name of preserving humanity, that is. This instance was one of those moments, and so when Toon Girl sought to attack him, he aimed to hammer his fist into her face without regard for her safety--right now, she was the enemy, she was threatening fellow leaguers, and thus Marvel would show her no mercy.

But he did feel remorse afterward. Horrific as she looked, he had come to enjoy her company during their time together on the first mission. There was chaos all around him; well, there was mostly old people and so 'chaos' was not the most appropriate observance of the situation. No, this was more like watching a Charlie Chaplin film without the hijinks or the zany commentary. Everyone was wrinkled, saggy, chubby, slow, or rambling about things which only concern the elderly. Some quick surveillance of the room provided Marvel with the inkling of a plan and it was a plan simple enough: draw the attention of the teammates-turned-assailants so the others can evacuate the rest of the elderly teammates. After all, the Captain wasn't the most delicate person in the world, and he certainly wasn't apt at handling unnaturally and rapidly aged organic lifeforms.

Marvel picked up one of the meeting chairs and hurled it at Clayface. Then he secured a coffee mug and tossed it at The Warden. Above all else, Marvel loved a good fight--even if it was against his own teammates. He just hoped they would take the bait.

EPISODE V: Apollex

Apollex felt a tap on her shoulder and nearly jumped out of her skin. She swung a bony arm and tried to thwack Polarity Man (@WXer) on the head. She spun around (albeit slowly and with a creak) and gasped as she saw who it was.
"Lawrence! You're here!" She gaped, opening a floppy jaw as she trembled ever so slightly on the spot.
He looked like he was trying to pull her back from her yearning to help Rookie. As she looked into his eyes she could guess what he was thinking.
"I AM NOT A LIABILITY!"She screeched and then slapped another hand over her mouth.
"God, I'm so sorry, I'm not like that I swear. It's these FUDGING STUPID ELDERLY HORMONES!" Apollex was clearly getting distraught and she didn't know why. She ran her fingers through her hair and creased her forehead in worry.
Cmon Lexi, calm down. Get out of the battlefield, you can't help anyway. She pounded at her head with her wrinkled hands. God she wanted to help them. She really did. But she couldn't because she was so old. And here was Polarity Man offering to lead her to safety. She can't refuse that can she?

"Fine. Lawrence, take me out of here. But I need to help so if there's anything important you tell me immediately okay? Please?" Apollex was pleased to find that her pleading voice hasn't changed. Boys bending to her will since 1999. She hooked an arm through his and gave an uneasy smile. She hoped she didn't look like his grandma.

Toon Girl in Episode 5

It was a good thing that her team was competent. Most people would balk at seeing tons and tons of lit dynamite sticks scattered everywhere, but these guys disposed of all of them! Though poor clayface had to be unfortunate enough to be one way they disposed of some of the explosives. It was also probably better for everyone that Toon Girl was focusing on Shazam, the guy could hurt the other mind controlled people!

And it was a really good call too, because she was sure that punch would've gone right through anyone without her durability! Even though it did send her careening into a wall, squishing her flat against it with a mix of a pained and surprised look on her face. After sticking to the wall for a few moments, she peeled herself off, re-inflated herself, and started rummaging in her dress for something. "Great, what am I digging for now?" she said, a look of surprise when she pulled out a hockey mask. "Oh crap, oh crap! This had better not be..." she said as she put it on and assumed a taller, more intimidating stance.

"Uh, uh, uh... guys. Don't let me grab you! Or I'll make you humble!" Toon Girl said, advancing with one arm outstretched at Shazam. At least she was still targeting him, he probably wasn't easy to break unlike the others.

K I D S T H E S E D A Y S

D E L A W A R E :

July 20th, 2017 - 15:48 | Metro Tower - Metropolis, featuring @Simple Unicycle as The Question

Rose's precognition was going off like crazy. Everything around her was being percieved as a threat as she turned from one direction to the next, the energy blade in her hands swinging wildly as she held her back firmly against the wall. Despite being blind, her powers were still able to provide her with a view into the world as she ducked under one of Clayface's apologetic attacks before slashing wildly at the Warden's severed vine. Suddenly something crushed the vine as Rose felt the impact before her legs were sprayed by whatever fluid might have been within the former extremity.

Lizard's voice filled her ear as Rose steadied her blade. She couldn't recall whether Lizard had been warped by Extant but her precognition had triggered leading her to believe for the time being at least, she was safe. Suddenly she was hoisted into the air as Lizard took a hold of her and carried the now elderly Rose to another room.

"Here?" Rose asked, questioning Lizard's phrasing. "Where the fuck is here, Jessica dear?" She asked, but the hiss of the room's automated doors informed Rose that Lizard was already gone. The door hissed open again moments later as the room was filled with a loud voice. Aged like her own, this voice belonged to a male as it bellowed about being attacked by a reptile, suggesting that once again Lizard was herding her teammates to safety.

The voice suddenly asked a question which left no doubt in Rose's mind as to who had joined her in the room.

"I always assumed it was because you were so damn ugly dearie." Rose sneered before it dawned on her that she had let another affectionate term slip from her mouth.

"Who're you calling ugly? I don't even know what I look like!" Question shouted in a rare moment of comprehension... Only to mutter "Do I?" moments later, before staring blankly ahead once more.

Even the ever thorned Rose felt a rare moment of sympathy for the Question's memory loss. Of the Leaguers she had interacted with, he was the one she held the most respect for after the Bat. The Question wasn't afraid to, well question everything around him, and for that reason he saw through the black and white of the world and dove into the shades of grey she had lived her life tangled within.

A small hiss echoed throughout the room as Rose uncharacteristically de-activated her energy sword, carefully returning the hilt to her hip as she guided herself towards Question's voice, one hand on the wall as she moved slowly towards the detective.

"I damn well don't know why I'm saying this but," Rose paused, feeling around for the Question before her fingers brushed against the trenchcoat. Finding his shoulder, Rose gave it a squeeze as she continued talking. "I think the mask if kind of hot. In a fucked up way, of course dear." She said with a small smile as her hand traced his featureless face.

"So, if anyone, but me, calls you ugly. Punch them the fuck out." Rose added with a smile.

'Why's this woman getting so close to me? ... What's a woman? Wait, no, I know what they are.' The faceless detective thought to himself, barely listening to what Rose was saying. Though he did catch the last part, and allowed himself to smile at that.

"Always do." He replied, before his vision lost focus once more and he pondered to himself "wait, punch them?"

"Yes dearie." Rose said as she leaned on Question. "Punch them, right square in the jaw." She explained, taking a hold of Question's hand and swinging his arm in the motion of a punch.

"And if that doesn't work, punch them in the fuckin' balls dear." Rose added, turning her blinded eyes towards Question. Suddenly an alarm echoed through the room, finally cuing in Rose that Lizard had deposited the duo in the monitor room.

"Computer, what is the nature of the alarm?" Rose asked, leaving Question's side as her hand instinctively fell to her blade's hilt.

"Proximity alarm, unknown Kryptonian approaching."

"Computer," Rose stated. "Analyze, compare to all known Kryptonians, one of those damn invulnerable aliens doesn't just show up."

"DNA is half human. Logical conclusion, Supergirl, daughter of Superman." The computer stated as Rose fumbled around for an intercom button before becoming frustrated and slamming the keyboard.

"Computer, fuckin' broadcast this for me." Rose ordered as a beep acknowledged the request. "Supergirl dear, this is Ravager, we're under fuckin' attack by a mystical being known as Extant. Any aid you can provide would be damn well appreciated dearie."

Monny A.K.A. Clayface in
Episode 5

Attacking @Sir Lurksalot
The Monster was upset. It didn't like being upset either which didn't help things much. It was still swatting at anyone who happened to be next to it, either young or old or anywhere in between. It had lost track of whom was whom, everyone looked so much more different then their younger counter parts. That still didn't prevent the giant monstrosity from muttering abashed apologies every time it's body tried to hit someone.

"So sorry." Monny cringed as it smacked the guy scrambling around after Toon Girl's explosives. Rookie. Monny was a little too distraught to think of the guy's real name. The blow looked like it really hurt. Did Monny kill him? Monny really, really hoped not.

"Please no." Monny's voice was barely more than a whisper as it's body raised it's hand for a final (if the guy wasn't dead already) blow. The clay monster watched in a kind of detached horror as it's arm came down, down, down. Worst of all Monny couldn't even close it's massive eye.

"Fuck it."

Monny would have cocked it's head to the side if it A) was in control of it's own body. And B) if it had a head. Before it could ask what Rookie meant (or even before it could crush the hero) Rookie spoke again.

"Sorry, Bud! This might sting a little!"

Monny felt it's body take a step back, as if it too understood in the moment just what was going to happen. Right before the inevitable.

KA-BOOOOOM

The ensuing explosion was enough to take a chunk out of Monny. It's whole top half was gone in a spray of mud covering much of the room in Clay Monster. It's lower half was left in a parody of an open flower. For a few long minutes nothing happened. Monny itself waited to see if the dynamite was enough to stop his body's rampaging. Then it felt it. The subtle pull of the clay against itself. The clay that had been scattered about the room and on everyone near by began to shiver and shake.

The mud still attached to Monny's legs began to bubble and reform. It was smaller this time around, even with the extra bolstering powers of Extant, more normal sized, but still as dangerous.

Monny's lone eye honed in on Rookie.

"Uh-oh." Monny said as it realized Rookie was now definitively target #1.
