@Joshua Tamashii

Mhm, I grew up with Gen two myself as well. Silver version back in the day was my introduction to pokemon. Don't get me wrong, I am excited to see Silver and Gold as well...but something about Gen 3 always stuck out to me. I don't know what it is really, but Hoenn just has a special place in my heart.

and yes, you have mentioned the Nero Avatar already.

I couldn't recall.

Also, we all know who's responsible for the prismatic mutations on the ultra beast and other pokemon.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that marks one year since I started this thread.

Thanks to those hanging onto it, those that done so from the very beginning and those that are newer. I’m thankful to you all, and I hope you're still having fun. Hahaha.

And now, that I’ve said that. Let me cross that off my checklist. Honestly, I was thinking that we haven’t gotten nearly as far as I’d originally imagined. Oh, well. That’s probably entirely due to me. ANYWAYS!

@Rune_Alchemist Nicely posted. Yupp, that is a reasonable strategy. Let’s see how that goes.

Edit: And today I learned that my clock is exactly two hours early compared to the guild's. ... Yikes, it was late when I put this thread up. Oh, well. ALMOST a year ago. Hahaha.

Anyways. ONWARDS!

You've been doing a great job in keeping it enjoyable, @PlatinumSkink! So all the fun we're getting is thanks to you.

Aaaaaaand onwards! In another year or so, we'll be roleplaying at the very league, did I heard an aye?

@Project *snicker* Sure. We'll see. You're now free to do as you please again.

@Joshua Tamashii Nothing specific happened to you with that course of action, you're free to act as you please in the forest. If you want to get a move on or if you have more to do here.

@Pirouette I moved you along to the next split after some brief conversation with the other two. Now, you're technically at the same place @Pyromaniacwolf is at, buuuuuuut, he just went by those three coming running back from being scared off by Lesley, he's there way before you. Unless the two of you want to meet, of course, then I can twist the space-time-continuum. Haha. Speaking of which, hey, Pyro, how's it going?

@Rune_Alchemist Yeah, this enemy's a bit stronger than your current Pokémon. But you expected a challenge, right? Haha.

@TheIrishJJ How's it going?

@Pyromaniacwolf That's alright. Thanks for keeping us updated!

@Eklispe@Pikmin Eye Nicely posted. Yepp. Getting a bit bolder. Hmmm. I wonder if I should establish more rules for switching Pokémon. Because like this, Cathia's definitely going to... yeah. And then, I reason, you have no reason to keep fighting her with a definite disadvantage. It works in the games because it's turn-based, but like this...

Hm. Allow me to consider what to do in this situation, while I also give you a post to consider what to do about, which I'm going to count as part of the "previous" round of posts you just barely missed. Heh.

I will say that if you take a Pokémon out to dodge an attack, the new Pokémon will take the attack. Like, if Dawkin exchanges Aron now, the exchange will take the blow. But in situations like what Cathia did? Where she returned Bagon instead as a response to what had happened? Or like Dawkin did with Wooper? Hm. Oh, well. For now, let's see if this goes well! XD

Yes I figured it would be alright for Wooper because I'm not using the switch out to dodge an attack, rather running into one. Of course it still does obviously put me at an advantage in terms of typing and repositioning so... if you want to make rules against it in the future or right now I won't mind at all.

Hm figured I'd ask before trying to pull this. Would Atlas be able to bit down on the vine whip and use it to close the distance on Flabébé for a headbutt? I don't want to be too presumptuous with mixing the games and real life. ^.^

Swapping out does have it's own rewards and consequences, but we don't really know all the rules. As much as I'm sure hot swap dodging would be all the rage to avoid damage, I understand there being rules. So if I put a Pokemon out of harms way and swapped with an attack declared. How many rounds would that be considered using? Sometimes I need to queue up a lot of actions and aren't sure how many is too much for one post.

The situation isn't present anymore, but I was pressed to use my own judgement if I should or if it would be too many things happening at once.

@Pikmin Eye Alright. That's a strategy. Since Cathia exchanging Pokémon was one round, I'll say the blocking of Vine Whip is that round and the running to scratch is the other. Yupp. Nicely posted.

Swapping is one round, just like all moves are one round, roughly. If you swap and declare a move, it's two rounds, meaning the enemy should be allowed to do two moves. Each move you command would be one move, and the opponent should be allowed to counter with the same amount. Basically. Circumstances can shift, though, like moving a certain distance can take a turn, some attacks might be quicker/slower than others... Oh, well. Common sense is also a powerful weapon. Now, let's see.

@Pyromaniacwolf Awww, Slowpokes aren't to your liking? XD ... Well! They were there, anyway! But, yupp, moving on, then! Nicely posted. Haha.

@Eklispe Well. Um. I'm having slight trouble imagining how you'd do it. If you just pull on the vine sideways, you could potentially force Flabébé to lower her altitude that you could then attempt taking advantage of that. Do you mean, like, shove the vine to get her closer and then attack? It's a little hard to administrate that force via mouth, but potentially. Maybe. Hah.

Hm the mental picture I had was Atlas grabbing the vine with his mouth and pulling it towards him: then headbutting. Like one would grab and whip and pull it to bring the person holding it close enough to hit. If that doesn't make too much sense still I'll think of something else.

@Project Yupp. Nicely posted. Simple enough order of business. Just to get on it.

@Eklispe If you pull with enough force with Atlas' head assuming he's biting the Vine Whip, it could potentially be physically possible to cause the fairy to come flying down to him. I will not guarantee it's success, though. Haha.

@Eklispe Alright. Nicely posted. Then it's time for me to decide what happens.

@Joshua Tamashii Yupp. Nicely posted. Sweet enough. Now to see where this leads.

@Rune_Alchemist Teh-heh, noted. But, I do like to leave open the possibility of the players coming up with some unexpected strategy for me to be surprised by. Anyways. Nicely posted.

@Pyromaniacwolf So, I did want to ask. There's a battle going on in front of the exit, Dawkin and Martin fighting Cathia. Would Lucian potentially have desire to stop for any reason because this is going on or would he walk right past? Because, well, he can if he wishes to. Cathia did wait there to challenge anyone that arrives, but she can only engage in one fight at a time. ... Unless we say that takes place later, so she can be unengaged, but that'd come with a strange amount of assumptions, so not unless you'd really want that for some reason, haha.

Anyways. Yeah. Do you want out?

@Pikmin Eye@Eklispe ... And I'd assume but perhaps I should ask anyways, none of the two of you would stop Lucian if he appeared and decided to just walk past your battle, or so, right? XD

@PlatinumSkink I think I'll just avoid the confrontation all together, if Dawkin or Martin noticed he was escorting the ducklett it would probably start questions Lucian would like to avoid.

There we go.

@Pyromaniacwolf Yupp, new place. I'll say it is possible to get through by foot, buuuuut it's inconvenient. Feel free to grab a free canoe. They're basically everywhere. Haha.

@Project You're... yeah, you were just training, and the random-die/my whim combo decided nothing else happened. So, onwards with you.

@Eklispe@Pikmin Eye Yeah, in your case, the battle continues. ... Hm. Tell me if there are any issues, otherwise, onwards. Haha.
Edit: Added a little about bubbles moving.

@Joshua Tamashii That's a lot of things that happened to you in a row, feel free to say if you change your action at any of those stages. But, otherwise, there you go.

@Rune_Alchemist That was fun to write. Anyways. Hector's the kind to just randomly decide rules as he goes along. He may have over-done the final challenge, so he's offering that you can borrow some of Anise's Pokémon to get a full team. Of course, being him, he says so out of the blue and in a confusing way. Anise because, heh, you beat her, you'd know her Pokémon. Up to Claire how she'll react to that, though. Haha.
