I've somehow found myself in a three-way relationship. Contrary to my previous belief that jealousy would be the biggest problem in such a scenario, it's actually the fact that the other two people are not on the same page. I always seem to act as a mediator since I'm closer to them as individuals than they are to each other. It is further complicated by the fact that one is my best friend (with whom I've had a "benefits" arrangement with for almost a year) and the other is currently my roommate (who is a very close friend of mine).

Tl:dr I have a boyfriend and a girlfriend who are on the same page as me but who are at odds with each other.

Just wanted to vent, I don't have anyone I can talk to about this right now.

"If you love something set it free. If it doesn't come back, then it wasn't meant to be." Trying to hold on to something usually doesn't work. All love has to be equal give or holding on just prolongs the inevitable split. If they cant get along then separate the times your with them. See one and mute the other during that time. Then vice versa. Maybe distance is what they need from each other and spending time with you solo for a while. This is just a suggestion. I don't really know 98% of what is going on in your life, or the whole situation. So take this with as little or as munch seriousness as you please.

I think the main problem lies with the fact that they are both more emotional people than me. I think they're ao wrapped up in their emotions that they have trouble understanding each other. It's very weird for me because the answer seems obvious: just fuckin talk to each other, blunt and honest.

What if the hostility is due to jealousy? They might be trying to troll each other, so you can become exclusive with them, as they may believe they're the more level headed of the two.

I'd considered that but it's more like they're just incapable of understanding each other on an emotional level. I'm completely outside of the dispute, and neither one has a problem with me or anything that I'm doing. The relationship between the three of us is unbalanced because even though we're all friends, the two of them don't know each other as well as I know each of them, it sort of comes down to a trust thing, they each trust me, and I trust them, but thwy don't fully trust each other because there's a lack of familiarity. Idk.

If neither of the others care, then might as well go along with it.
