Finley Alestair

Location: Red Lake Sheriff's Department

Finley mentally applauded her handiwork as she watched the news people scramble. The reporter lady was fuming mad. She merely shrugged off Taylor's comment. "Far as I can tell, it was an accident. And the only evidence is now shattered on the ground. They just don't know when to quit. It's bad enough we have the cops running around without any clue, but now we got news people searching. Not to mention the FBI lady here now."

As if on cue, her cell buzzed. She opened it and read the message from Jenna. It seems the FBI lady made her way to Jenna. Hopefully, she would be freed soon. She had some things to do. She really wanted to see the scene with her own eyes, but she wasn't sure if Declan or Taylor would tag along. Not that she didn't want that. It was more of a "her and Jenna" thing. Still, couldn't hurt to ask.

"So..this is gonna sound crazy, and that's coming from the girl who just destroyed the personal property of the Channel 34 news, but I was about to head over to where they found the mayor's body. I know it sounds crazy, but I need to see it for myself. You guys are welcome to come along, but I would understand if you didn't want to." Not only that, but she also needed to determine what she would do about her vision. Should she share it? She trusted Taylor and Declan. She trusted Jenna. That was about as much as she trusted anyone. Perhaps she should talk to them. "If not, maybe we can hang later? At the cafe maybe? I have the day off and as much as it pains me to say this and I will kill you if you repeat it, they actually have really good coffee and I could go for some." She shot out a reply to Jenna as well.

-After I scope the scene, want to meet up later? At the cafe? Lemme know.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: Red Lake Sheriff's Department

Jenna glanced over as the sheriff shot her a friendly look, escorting the private investigator into his office. Jeanna's words may have been comforting to some, but to Jenna they only confirmed her earlier assumption. They wouldn't be finding Riley alive. Each minute that went by with her missing, the chance of finding her in one piece went down. There was a serial killer in Red Lake as far as Jenna could tell. And as much as Jenna loved to solve these things by the books, she made a mental note to head to the lake that night. Maybe she'd be able to find Riley's ghost and get some more information. It was her gift after all--she could see the spirits of the departed.

"Yeah, she texted me that day," Jenna said, having the timestamp memorized from all the other officials she had talked to. "Around four, she asked if I wanted to go to the lake and hang out." She had been stuck at work for another hour however, since one of the deputies had asked her to file some papers. And by some papers, it was more a near complete overhaul of the records cabinets. The last person to do the job hadn't understood alphabetical order properly.

She figured that she'd tell her parents she was spending the night at Abe's place before heading out for the lake. With everyone searching in the area until sunset, she'd need to wait until it was properly dark outside to get some privacy. Jenna tried not to seek out spirits and talk to them, but if she found Riley's ghost, she didn't want to look insane as she talked to thin air. Besides, she was already expecting the mayor's ghost to waltz into view at any minute, demanding for his murder to be solved. But so far, she had seen nothing.

Pulling out her phone again, Jenna checked the time, before tapping out two quick replies. She didn't tell Finn about her plans for that night, since she didn't want to explain ghosts and all to Finn just yet. Jenna had only ever told Kosara before and even then, it had been a hypothetical discussion.

To Finn:
Sure thing. Waiting to be told if they still want me here today or not.-J
To Liv:
Nothing much. Might stop by the cafe later. -J

Harry Kingsfield

Location:
Red Lake Police Department

Seemed that the sheriff didn't quite care for Harry. It didn't really matter so long as they were able to work together without issue. The sheriff could think of him as scum of the Earth for all he cared. As he passed by Je(a)nna, he took note of the younger woman. She looked too young to be an officer, but her body language indicated that she belonged here. Perhaps a younger sibling of another officer? Maybe she's older than she looks. Whatever, a minor distraction from business.

"Kingsfield, Harry." Harry remained standing. If all went well, he wouldn't be spending much time here, and if he sat down, it would be a real bother to have to stand up.

"I've been hired by the Walker couple to investigate the disappearance of their daughter. I was hoping that you would be willing to share any evidence or leads you had. If I find anything that would benefit The Force during my own investigation I'd inform you, naturally." All information that Bradley already knew, or could figure out with even a second of thought, but it was worth stating anyway. Hopefully with this he could get what he needed, get dealing with the FBI agent out of the way and go about his day.

Location: Red Lake Cafe
Interactions: Her brother, Andrew
"Are we there yet?" Amanda groaned in the passenger seat of Andrew's vehicle, her eyes widened at the scenery up ahead as she noticed that they were approaching the lake. People were fluttered and scattered all around as once they passed by the lake, her eyes turned to face back at the lake as she then leaned back in her seat. Amanda let out a soft sigh as she looked over towards Andrew again. "How do you feel about this girl's disappearance? I think her name is Riley, if I am not mistaken."

She waited for a response from him as they made it into town, finally but it seemed that every parking space that surrounded the cafe was taken. Amanda pointed at the curb up ahead as Andrew moved in and parallel parked there. "I sure hope Olivia is here or else this drive would've been for nothing." Amanda said as she got out of the car and looked at people as it seemed that they were going about there business and doing whatever it is they do daily.

"Shall we get ready for this short walk?" Amanda could not help but tease her brother in this moment as she waited for him to stand beside her so that she could link her arm with his. Once Andrew started to walk, so did she as they made their way towards the cafe.

Location: 100 Asher Lane → On the way towards Red Lake Cafe
Interactions: Amanda, his sister → Olivia {@Nallore}

Andrew kept his eyes on the road as he heard Amanda's question about were they there yet. Of course, before he responded, he rolled his eyes then turned to look towards her for a moment. "No, we're not so please stop asking." He replied towards her as his eyes went back ahead of him, watching the road now as the drive was not even that far from town so what was Amanda complaining about. Andrew mentally shrugged to himself as they came upon the lake.

Just like Amanda's eyes, Andrew's eyes gazed upon the people that were at the lake as they were seemingly gathering a search party for the missing girl named Riley. Once they got a few feet away from the lake, Amanda spoke again but asked him about the missing girl. He really did not know how to respond to that question since he really did not know the girl, for real. Before he answered her, a soft sigh came from him followed by the shrug of his shoulders. "I don't know what to feel, honestly. I did not know her."

Andrew finally responded as he looked over towards Amanda before turning his gaze back towards the road as they made it to town. His phone chimed as he reached down into the cup holder and grabbed it, eyes scanning over the message from Olivia. He dropped his phone back down as they made it into town and Andrew groaned to himself as there was really nowhere to park for real.

His eyes caught sight of Amanda's pointing to a curb nearby as he sped up just a little bit and parked alongside the curb. "Oh, yeah. She's here and our meal is on her, by the way." Andrew commented as he turned off the engine and got out of the car, along with his sister, Amanda. Andrew eyed everyone that passed by and raised a brow up at them with a slight scoff afterwards. When he went and stood by Amanda, she linked her arm with his own as his eyes trailed down to her, nodding his head at her question.

Andrew made the small trek towards the cafe, opening the door and walking in before Amanda. "Hello, Olivia." They both said simultaneously upon their entrance and walked over to where she was standing now. Of course, Andrew eyed the person she was talking to at the moment then turned back towards Olivia and his sister, not speaking at the moment.

"So, Olivia, when are we going shopping again? I so need a new outfit." Andrew questioned towards Olivia as Amanda just stood there, listening.

Kosara Koleva

Location: Outside of Red Lake Town Hall

Kosara burst into soft laughter at Abe's comment. The old man's sense of humor was always getting to her. She couldn't help it! This little mix of sarcasm and joke was just extremely effective. She didn't feel the least bit bad about his words, it was a normal family joke in her mind and well... he wasn't THAT far away from certain nights. Well writing supernatural detective/thriller/mysteries all the time gets boring, it needs something different every now and then.

“Won't argue with that, but still. I'm getting the feeling something more's going on here.” She admitted. After all she's been around for a little while now and it took this much time for something to happen. She also vaguely checked news stories. This was a quiet town by fame for a reason.

“Yep... traces match up.” She agreed, but wasn't sure it was one of the ones who were in the town. Not that she wouldn't be checking/interrogating all of them if she could get her hands on them. She wasn't going to be real nice considering a life was at stake. Still she quickly backed away from the crime scene, following up with Abraham.

“Well you drive then.” She smirked. She couldn't drive cars and frankly Abe on a motorbike wasn't a thing that would happen also, so that was the only solution.” They probably already checked it, but we might still be able to find something. Sometimes vital clues are missed cause they don't know what to search for... or the perpetrator returns to the scene. Though given the situation we shouldn't be out of town unprepared at nighttime.”

Jo-Vaughn Holloway

Location: Red Lake Cafe
Interacting With: @Nallore Olivia Johnson

Jo-Vaughan followed Olivia's gaze to the aftermath of the Smith's girl's and the biker's little scuffle. Naturally, it had diffused, leaving bystanders either letting out a sigh of relief or a groan in disappointment. As for himself, he settled with a small smile; it was moments like these that kept Red Lake fresh for him. So when it came to it, he couldn't help but observe; mentally battle his way through the scenario. It saved him countless times before.

After a moment his gaze fell back on that of Olivia, who was ordering a wealth of food.

"Dang girl, you eatin up a storm. he jibbed.

Taking a sip of his last cup of orange juice, he considered Olivia's remark. He found it odd how people could blantly walk into danger without a second thought. No doubt the lake was now a dangerous place. No, he couldn't assume that. Maybe Riley drowned or ran away. But he had no evidence to back up either theory as he missed the morning's news conference. Nevertheless, if Riley had been kidnapped, the lake was no doubt a dangerous place to be snooping for clues.

Town's not much safer either. he mused, the story of the mayor's mauling resurfacing in his memory.

"Nothing much on my end, but that lake, you ain't going alone are you?" he worried. Nowhere was safe, but that didn't mean caution couldn't be applied. There was safety in numbers.

Considering Olivia's offer, he glanced at the trio of plates already stacked on his table. He had already had a hearty meal, any more and he'd burst. Surely that'd be a scene.

He offered the waitress the stack of plates and waved the courteous women away. "Naw I've had my fill. Thanks tho."

"Hello, Olivia."

Jo-Vaughan spared the newcomers a glance. Twins. he thought. Can't say take the time to 'hi' to me either.

Almost immediately the male doppelganger jumped into conversation with Olivia, while the female doppelganger seemed a little reserved. Either that or she respected her male counterpart enough not to interrupt him.

Josh shrugged, leaned back in his seat, and took a swig of orange juice. They were Olivia's friends, naturally she would engage and introduce them to him. Otherwise, he would ignore them just as they him.

Lydia Weaver

Location: Outside of the Cafe

She looked down and laughed a little at the kitten by her leg. It was so small, it looked like just moving her leg could hurt it. She has always had a soft spot for animals, small baby ones in particular. Lydia was looking at it, and moved her guitar slightly to the side so she could see it better. It was tiny, and so young, it made her wonder where its mother was, or whether it had been abandoned. She like the little thing, and started to wonder if she might be able to get someone to take care of it, since she wasn't sure how her family would react if she brought it home.

Lydia looked up in time to see the biker guy leaving the cafe. It was obvious that he was not happy, and she had to suppress a giggle as she noticed the stain on his pants. That probably had an interesting story to go along with it, but she knew better than to ask. When the kitten started freaking out, she reached down to it."Hey there, don't worry. The big mean guy is leaving, don't be afraid. He probably won't bother you again," she said to it, not sure if it could understand her.

Location: Aimlessly walking through town
Interactions: Taylor { Self } ; Finley { @FantasyChic } ; Olivia { @Nallore }

Declan nodded to Finley's offer, a huge smile plastered on his face. Their little town didn't offer much as far as entertainment, least not the kind that interested him, so potentially getting caught up somewhere they weren't supposed to be doing things they shouldn't.. well, it was as inviting as it could be, to Declan.

"I'm down to go with. I'd like to get a look at this, too."

Declan's smile half faded as he walked with the girls, his thoughts getting the better of him... "Wonder if he saw who it was.." But only for a moment.

"Maybe we could do a seance and ask him ourselves!"

It did bother Declan to some extent, though, that the attack was clearly done by that of an animal.. of sorts. Declan half-wondered if the same wolf who'd attacked and infected him was the one who killed the mayor. Suddenly he found himself eyeing Finley from the corner of his eye and his heart dropped to the ground beneath his feet at the thought of a scenario he'd overplayed in his head too many times to count. She, among the few of their other friends, would probably freak out if they found out what they were. What they turned to every full moon, and occasionally some times between then, too. Would they think they were behind the murder and disappearance?

Declan wished he could tell Jenna, for a very specific reason.. but even just to tell his two closest female friends, Finley and Gwen, would be such a weight off his shoulders. He never had, and probably never would end up telling his parents.. it was enough to be able to share the secret with his cousin Taylor, though it was 100% his fault that she now fell to the same curse every month. Taylor only being one month younger, as far as being a werewolf was concerned.

The boy was ripped from his thoughts when an incoming text brought him back, walking with hesitant steps as he checked his phone. It was Olivia, offering to meet up at the Cafe. Declan decided to type out a quick reply before turning on his cousin with a smile.

Declan had caught Taylor right in the middle of responding to Olivia, but she held off on finishing it to answer him back.

"Um, actually I think I'm gonna go meet up with Liv. If you guys swing by the cafe later, though, I'll probably still be there. If not, Dec, I'll see you at home. Finley? It's been real, it's been fun-" Declan partially cut her off and finished it with "-but it hasn't been real fun!"

Taylor smirked and shook her head, giving a reluctant smile to the both of them. "I'll catch you guys later. Let me know what you find, yeah?" With that, Taylor headed off towards the Cafe. It wasn't until she was standing just outside that she had forgotten her incomplete text to Olivia. She looked down at her phone, then back up to scan inside the Cafe to try finding Liv. It didn't take Taylor long to spot the girl, who was currently sitting down with three other people in a booth. One of those people being Josh, the other two being Amanda and Andrew Richardson.. but her eyes didn't leave Josh.

Taylor smiled shyly as her face turned a light shade of red, biting her lower lip nervously as she contemplated whether or not she should go in there and sit with them. If Olivia saw her face, Taylor would probably never hear the end of it.. especially if she acted like a major goofball in front of Josh with Olivia as a witness. Taylor decided to first send a text to Olivia and Josh, taking a seat at a table outside while she waited for their replies.

Clifford Norman

Clifford seems to completely change personalities as he embraced his boyfriend. His body melting into the hug before he pulls back and looks leo up and down* "Hey. Im better now that I'm with you" He gave a beaming smile and kept his hands out of his pocket. He glanced at the leaving car and then back at leo. "You should go somewhere to." His gaze suddenly turned serious.

Clifford then pulled leo close again before pulling back and kissing his forehead. "Please tell me you are going on a trip too." His voice was pleading as he sincerely looked into leo's eyes. He then pulled out his plan. In his hand he held a dog collar. It was colored a deep purple in coloration that would stand out against his red fur and in the d ring was an id tag with the name "Red" with leo's information layered below it. He had a sheepish expression on his face because for him a dog collar was incredibly degrading, but he felt most of his plan was clear just by showing the collar. This was a way to protect his wolf shape. Not that there was too much to protect considering his shape was far smaller then many of the werewolves, but there was a point there.

@FantasyChic@Infamous Auror The crime scene wasn't that far from the sheriff's office, as the crowd got smaller there were some that were still there in the center of town talking to one another about the recent events, and the murder just random rumors. They could see Kosara and Abe just leaving the crime scene. They didn't see what the two of them were doing earlier, but it seemed that they were both walking off towards an old looking car that was Abe's ride across town. Declan would then see Abe staring directly at him, before getting into his car.

@Dragoknighte Sheriff Bradley sighed slightly, he had given the evidence that they found to Jeanna and figured that she would most likely not part with the information that they had given her. "Sadly, gave her all the info we have, the Walker's record is pretty much clean. No crimes or anything that would give a red flag." He said, his hands were tied at this point, Jeanna had full reign on the case at this point. "Though I might suggest you checking with her family, they might give you access to her room." Bradley knew that the family's rooms were off limits to the guests of the Bed and Breakfast. "I suggest you start your search there." Bradley suggested. His attention then turned towards Jenna as she spoke with the FBI agent. "Westbrook your free for the rest of the day." He called out to her.

@BlackPanther Leo smiled happily as Clifford returned the hug letting out a content sigh and then blushed when Clifford kissed him on the forehead. He looked over towards the road as if he could see his sister, Leo turned his attention back towards his boyfriend as he asked him if he was going anywhere. He nodded slightly and smiled, though he couldn't help but be worried for Clifford while he was still in town the murderer could still be there for all he knew. "Yeah i'm going to be visiting some family, but should be back soon." Leo said as he noticed the present Cliff held out to him and then met Clifford's gaze. "I love it!" He said happily as he watched his family starting to pack up the car letting out a slight sigh he didn't want to leave. "Want to come with?" He offered.

@BlueSky44 When the biker drove off the kitten seemed to calm down now as it started to crawl up into Lydia's arms letting out another loud mew. It looked like it wanted to get some food or whatever she had on her to eat, as Lydia paid attention to the kitten she would see another cat trotting out of the alleyway carrying what looked like to be a bloodied envelope, it looked like it might be something interesting. It stopped for a moment and stared at her before trying to make a run for it.

Abraham Serafin

Location: Outside town hall where the crime scene was.
Interacting With: @rivaan Kosara Koleva

Abraham turned his attention towards Kosara and nodded as he made his way towards his car that he parked just a few feet away from the bench he had been sitting in. "There is certainly something going on here, we just have to find out what it exactly is." Abe said as he fiddled around through his pocket, he groaned loudly as he dropped his keys down onto the ground. Abe would turn to look over at Finley and Declan. The old man simply just glared at Declan, it was obvious that Abe did not like Declan at all, nor did he really care for the girl Finley either.

"Could you grab my keys." Abe said, he was really old in his days and had a really hard time getting up or down these days, once Kosara had gotten his keys for him Abe got into his car. "We have to stop at our place, get some gear ready for tonight." Abraham said groaning slightly when he got into his car seat and closed the door, waving for Kosara to get into the passenger side and hand him his keys so that they could drive.

Jeanna Grayson

Location: Outside of Red Lake Sheriff's Department
Interacting With: @Morose Jenna Westbrook

Jeanna listened to Jenna as she did mention that she had gotten a text from Riley the day she had disappeared and gave a slight nod, it didn't provide any weird information to her at least. "Was she acting weird, or anything before she went missing, was she scared of anything before that day?" Jeanna asked, Riley had been going out to the lake more then she normally did, over the last week before she had actually disappeared though. Her attention turned towards Sheriff Bradley as he called out to Jenna that she had the rest of the day off.

Jeanna watched Jenna sending out a text to her friends and waited patiently for her to reply, she would occasionally look over towards Harry standing in the man's office. She didn't hear what the two of them were talking about, Jeanna then took out a slip of paper and started to write down her phone number. Even though they did occasionally talk over email Jeanna never gave Jenna her phone number. "If anything does come up you will call me to right?" She asked Jenna.

Olivia Johnson

Red Lake Café
Interacting With: @LokiLeo789Jo-Vaughn Holloway, @Infamous Auror Taylor Evers & Declan Tanner O'Conner (via Text) @HushedWhispers Amanda & Andrew Richardson.

Olivia looked towards Jo and smirked ever so slightly after she had ordered her food, and shrugged slightly. "A girl's gotta eat right?" She said jokingly as she leaned back the waitress nodded towards Jo and walked off to go and put Olivia's order in. When Jo asked if she was going up to the lake alone, she gave him a nod she wasn't going to lie to her friend. "I am, though I can handle myself." She knew how to handle herself, her parents did tell her how to hunt, and also being a werewolf had its perks as well. Olivia was taught how to shoot a rifle and a handgun whenever her father would take her out hunting, but she didn't really enjoy it either. Olivia then heard phone going off, both from Jenna, Taylor and Declan, just as she looked over she could see Taylor outside texting away and smiled seeing the look on her friend's face and smirked slightly to herself.

To: Jenna
"Sounds good to me, see you later then Jen. :)

To: Taylor
"I'll save you a seat right next to your lover, but yeah feel free to join in already ordered myself something. :)

[I]To: Declan
"Eww gawd not Fin, but yeah i'll take a raincheck on that, but your paying since you are standing me up! :P[/I[

Olivia hit send as she jumped slightly she wasn't expecting both Amanda and Andrew to come in and say her name at the same time which was slightly creepy like they were reading each other's minds. She smiled and then looked over towards Jo. "This is Amanda and Andrew, some friends of mine moved to town pretty recently." She introduced them as she turned towards Andrew as he asked her when they would do some shopping.

"Sadly cant do it today, got plans on going up to the lake, and find Riley or anything from her." Olivia was really close to Riley that's why she had been spending most trying to help with the search. "And sadly I kind of spent the last pay check on my own food, wont get paid till next week." She said softly motioning for both of them to join.

Finley Alestair

Location: Red Lake Sheriff's Department -> Outside Town Hall

Finley mentally cursed Taylor for backing out. She didn't want to be alone with Declan! She actually didn't expect him to agree to come, but he did. She planned it. That's what was! Oh she was very sneaky! Finley would have to get her back later. For now, it seemed they had a crime scene to view.

Finley walked away as Taylor made her way to the cafe, "See ya, Taylor. If you see Olivia, give her the middle finger for me?" She was half joking, of course (ok maybe like....40% joking). She walked across the lawn as the crowds dispersed. She didn't know what to talk to Declan about. She didn't want to reveal anything until she was with Jenna and Taylor. Still, she had to talk.

"So...how's things?" Finley smacked herself. How's things? What the hell kind of question is that? She wasn't about to be some schoolgirl giggling over the guy she liked. Luckily, they found their way to the town hall. She glanced over and saw Kosara and that old guy, Abe, walking to their car. "Seems two odd birds of a feather flock together. Those two give me a weird feeling. Not surprised they are bonding. At least...I hope so." Either way, she made her way closer to the scene of the crime to begin her search.

James Tanner

Location: B&B ----> Cafe

James' morning began - as per usual - by being awoken by the rather wet, warm, and bad breath of his dog, Allie. She wasn't shy when it came to sharing her odours, especially if the goal was to get him up to put some food in her belly. And his own, but James was fairly sure that Allie didn't care whether he got his breakfast or not.

Pushing her snout gently away as he got up, James yawned and stretched a tad too vigorously, as he winced when his stitches pulled with the movement. While his assortment of claws and fang wounds were healing quite nicely, they still stung like a bugger, and likely would do until the stitches were removed. Still, that would be a few more days, and James had other things to prioritise first. Of course, breakfast. Well, Allie's breakfast, anyway.

"Alright Allie, calm it." The half-hearted order for the lolloping Great Dane to stop jumping over him did nothing; he'd like to think that it was just because it was stuttered through another yawn as he climbed out of bed and dug through his bag for dog food, but it was because when Allie was hungry, she loved ignoring him. Half the time she actually listened to commands like "sit" and "stay" was only to impress strangers. Show-off.

After his dog was fed (and her mess cleaned up), James threw on some clothes and set out for the day, Allie in tow on leash. He wasn't needed at the farm today, so he had a good chance to explore the town of Red Lake a bit more. Between hospital visits and organising various work permits, shelter and a job, he hadn't had all that much time to really look around. Although a small town, there was bound to be little oddities and places of interest that would take up his time. However, he'd certainly be avoiding the surrounding forests for a while... with that pack of wolves on the loose and everything. Or was it a pack? Surely a lone wolf couldn't be responsible for his wounds... and then of course that local girl going missing. Part of James wished he'd tracked down the wolf that had attacked him, just to see if he could have helped her. But he wasn't even entirely sure when she disappeared, or if he'd have even survived what had happened if he hadn't burnt rubber getting the hell out of there and to a hospital.

As James was musing all of this as he left the B&B, a loud conversation caught his attention behind one of the doors. At a guess, it was that couple who had been there for about half the time he had... beyond the PI and the FBI Agent, they seemed to be the only other guests at the hotel. Not being one to pry or eavesdrop, James didn't linger outside their door, but couldn't help but overhear on where they planned to go. The lake was an area he hadn't seen yet, but with it's closeness to the forests, he wasn't particularly eager to do so. Especially at night, which was when the couple seemed to indicate. Hoping they knew enough about the recent events to be wary of wild animals, James went on his way and left the bed and breakfast. While they supplied the latter of course, he fancied a slight change. Cafes and diners would surely give him better local cuisine than a cheap hotel.

Unfortunately, the breakfast was no different at the local cafe. The bacon was just as disappointing, and the eggs just as amazingly runny - but beggars couldn't be choosers, and James was too hungry to complain about american cuts of pork products at the moment. Paired with a steaming cup of coffee and toast, he leant back in the comfortable chair after demolishing half of his meal, taking in the rest of the people in the building. They seemed... normal. The atmosphere was a lot nicer than the quiet B&B, but James had expected something a little more. What exactly he wanted, he wasn't sure, but something compelling was telling him to stay in this town. And while he liked to brush over it, the attack from the wolf in the forest was involved in it.

"How about you, Allie? You alright here?" James asked her softly, and she gazed up at him for a moment before settling her head back on her paws at his feet. James knew it was pointless asking; not because she couldn't answer, but because he knew she was content as long as their was food in her belly.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: Red Lake Sheriff's Department

Jenna thought back on it, but hardly anything stuck out to her. Riley had been going to the lake more than usual, but it didn't feel extremely relevant to her. It wasn't something that she'd describe as weird--but it was a change in habit. "She started going to the lake a lot that week," Jenna said simply. She was direct and to the point in her speech. Hearing her name, Jenna glanced over towards Sheriff Bradley. She hadn't spotted her father yet, so there was only one Westbrook at the station, meaning there was no one to be confused with. He was likely off working one case or another.

Taking the slip of paper, Jenna programed it into her phone under Son of Gandalf. Only someone who remembered Gandalf as Gandalf the Grey would've been able to understand the slight pun. She nodded at Jeanna the way most teenagers do, as Jenna had a slight case of resting bitch face. "Yeah. Will do," Jenna reassured her, grabbing her bag and slinging it over her shoulder. "Good luck finding the body."

It may have seemed cold to those who didn't know Jenna, but she was practical. Each hour that went by, the odds that they would find Riley alive went down. And combined with the mayor's corpse and the threatening message, Riley likely was dead. She had known Riley since she was little. They were friends. But Riley had gone missing the night of June 28th. Investigators usually referenced seventy two hours--a child missing longer than that was likely dead. It had been more than twice that amount of time. Jenna had already done her mourning for Riley. She had cried her tears.

"Bye," Jenna added before heading out of the station. Taking a brief look at her phone, Jenna saw it was almost one. She'd need to wait at least seven hours before she tried to seek out Riley's ghost in the woods without any questioning glances. But being the nosy person she was, Jenna wasn't about to stop with her investigation here. Everyone would be looking at the grisly crime scene at city hall.

Jenna, however, was headed for the mayor's office. With any luck, it'd be unlocked and she could take a look around, see if she could find any evidence as to why someone would want to kill Mayor Ryder.

Of course she would have taken the entire case onto herself; why would it be any other way? You had to make sure everyone knew how much more important you were than them. Any pleasure he may have derived from the case was flushed down the toilet, but he didn't let his professional exterior slip much. The sheriff did give him a potential lead, and that was a gesture of goodwill that he would be sure to not squander.

"Ah, I see. Well thank you regardless, Sheriff. Now if you'll excuse me." When he stepped out of the office, he noticed that the conversation between the FBI agent and that other girl had just come to a close. Perfect. This was a rare opportunity where she was unoccupied, so he could get the conversation over with. As he walked towards Jeanna, he jotted down a couple brief notes in the notepad he still had on hand.

FBI has the complete case file.
Check with the Walkers for possible access to private rooms.

"Kingsfield, Harry. Private Investigator." He offered a hand to Jeanna. Keep the introduction brief and to the point. She'd be able to figure out the rest on her own. Well, hopefully she would. The FBI wouldn't be so dumb as to hire complete nincompoops and shuttle them out to the rest of the country to interfere with actual investigation. Would they?

She also noticed Declan and Finley. While Finley wasn't a target of her suspicions, Declan sure was. She had used a certain stare on him quite a few times to push him to act if he was going to cause problem. Dangerous creatures who were just hanging in secret usually would attack if they were provoked like that. Thus she continued to do it, as a test almost. As usual didn't have definate proof he was a creature, but her sense and logic led to it thus she kept an eye out at him and her other suspects.

“Sure, Gramps.” She smiled as she quickly crouched, grabbing the keys before hopping into the passenger's seat on the front.” Yeah, better pull the buckshot with the silver and bane.” She smirked as she pulled her safety belt. She then quickly gave Abe the keys.

“I will have to see about getting a way to grab some of the info the FBI and the police have.” She said, stretching her arms.” Will see about it later. I have an idea of who I should work on.”

Jo-Vaughn Holloway

Location: Red Lake Cafe
Interacting With: @Nallore Olivia Johnson | @Infamous Auror Taylor Evers (via Text) | @HushedWhispersAmanda & Andrew Richardson

Joey smiled up at the twins, studying their body-language and demeanor for a moment before taking the time to actually acknowledge himself to them. No doubt they were newcomers, he certainly hadn't recognized them at first glance. Nevertheless, he felt oddly connected to them. It hadn't been so long since it was he who had been the kid that just moved into town. They would adjust soon enough, everyone did.

"Yo, what's up?" he greeted lightheartedly, attempting to make the twins feel more comfortable in first-impression kind of situation. They hadn't been doing to well to begin with.

A small vibration in the pocket of his jeans garnered his attention for a moment. In a single motion he slide the cellphone out of his pocket and scrutinized the screen.

His heart lurched once he read the name Taylor within the notification bubble. A grin formed on his face as he replied back, not wanting to keep the girl of his dreams waiting.

To: Taylor
"Hangin out at the Cafe with Liv and friends. U want in?"

Jojo paused a moment before hitting the send button, considering whether or not it would be appropriate of him to invite her the cafe like that. He didn't want to seem presumptuous and assume she wasn't busy or something. Nor did he want to come off as too interested in hanging out. He was ready for a lot of things, but messing up his friendship with Taylor wasn't one of them.

Fuck it, Taylor's cool. he asserted and it hit send resolutely.

He looked back up from his phone in time to hear Olivia turn down Andrew's offer to go shopping for her excursion to the lake. That brought Josh back to his earlier question.

"Speaking of lakes; you think going alone is a good idea? I mean, I don't doubt the ability of Miss Olivia Bad-ass, but safety in numbers, know what I'm saying?"

Lydia Weaver

Location: Outside of the Cafe

She laughed a little as she held the kitten in her arms. Lydia loved animals, and this little kitten seemed to have stolen her heart. Stroking the animal, she thought that she should probably get some food or something for the little guy. He was cute, and she kind of wanted to keep him. Lydia stood up, with the kitten, and stretched out her legs as she went. She had been sitting there for a while, and her foot seemed to have fallen asleep a little bit. When she looked up after packing up her guitar, she saw the other cat. It had something in its mouth.

"Hey, what's that you've got there little guy," she said, as she reached for it. It bolted, and she hurried a little ways after it. This cat had something that looked like an envelope of some kind, and she was interested to find out what that it was about. The red on it clearly was not a good sign, so she hurried a little bit to catch it, being careful to not hurt the small kitten, and not to startle the other cat.

Amanda turned towards Olivia with a smile then looked at the male that Olivia had just introduced them to. She raised her hand up and offered a wave towards him then looked as he greeted them. "Nothing much. Just here visiting Olivia for the time being." She responded towards Jo then actually took a seat in front of him as if they had been friends for a long time or something.

That wasn't the case exactly but Amanda was clearly a lot more friendly than her brother, Andrew, who she looked up at momentarily before setting her gaze back on Jo. "So, don't mind my idiotic brother here. He's just on his period." She chuckled slightly at her own comment before her ears twitched upon hearing Olivia say something about going to the lake later on within the day. She bit her bottom lip as she looked up at Olivia from her seated position now.

It was then Jo proposed something about going to the lake and Amanda immediately spoke up. "Mind if I come with, Olivia?" She asked towards her with a breath then continued to speak on afterwards. "I mean, I may not know much about Riley and her sudden disappearance but I am sure that I can be of some help, at least." Amanda muttered then waited for a response as she grabbed a menu that was sitting on the table and reviewed over it with her eyes. Even though she was looking over the menu, she was still listening to the conversations that were around her at the moment.

She closed the menu then sat it down, eyes peered directly towards Jo again. "What's good to eat here?" She asked with an ending smile as she really just wanted an usual cafe lunch, which was nothing more than a hamburger, fries and a shake.

Location: 100 Asher Lane → On the way towards Red Lake Cafe
Interactions: Amanda, his sister ► Olivia {@Nallore} ► Jo {@LokiLeo789 - mentioned}

When Olivia introduced them to the male that she was just associating with, he turned his nose and lip at him then turned back towards Olivia, ignoring the male's greeting. "That's alright, Olivia. I can always go by myself." Andrew mentioned then shook his head at her following words. "Girl, really? You knew I would need an outfit for the 4th." He said then nudged her playfully before hearing his sister make a comment about him after she sat down in front of the male.

"Watch it, sis." Andrew said in an attitude tone. It was then his sister asked Olivia if she could go to the lake with her and honestly, Andrew wasn't really up for anything of the sort but he was in dire need to go shopping. Andrew eyed the male that was sitting directly from his sister, still had a scowled look plastered upon his face then turned back to Olivia.

He wasn't really in no mood to search for clues or anything of the sort especially for some girl named Riley that he knew absolutely nothing about. Whenever his sister asked could she join Olivia, his eyes peered down towards her then back towards Olivia as he was really eager to hear her response but had other plans at the moment. "Look, you guys can go to the lake or whatever but I am going shopping for a new outfit for tonight." Andrew said bluntly as he looked at his sister, Amanda for a moment.

"If you need me, text or call me. I'll only be a skip and a hop away." He mentioned towards Amanda, who nodded her head and gave him a thumbs up just as Andrew turned towards Olivia now, giving her a small hug while speaking. "Hope you find something that will help you and this town out. If you guys are still by the lake whenever I am done with my shopping, I'll join you guys." Andrew offered that bit of information towards Olivia and Amanda, breaking the hug then turned towards Jo, his nose and lip still turned up at him. From that point, Andrew walked away and outside of the cafe, standing there for a moment.

As Finley and Declan walked, he kept a watchful eye out on their surroundings. The few people lingering here and there were chatting up a storm amongst each other, and it was particularly hard for Declan to eavesdrop on any one conversation. Declan felt his phone vibrate in his pocket, pushing him to pull it out and check it. It was Jenna, his girlfriend.

Declan half-smiled, but only just, and typed out a quick reply before shoving his phone back into his pocket.

There was a text from Olivia waiting for him in his inbox, all he could see was "Eww gawd not Fin, but yeah I'll-" and that was it. Declan decided to just read it later. He never understood the hate between the two girls and why they had such a dislike for one another. That was a question for another time. Declan didn't feel like opening that can of worms with either one of the girls. He'd have to ask Taylor about it later. As for the moment, he focused his attention back to Finley who had just finished saying something. Wait, had she? ...she did. Declan wracked his brain to try remembering what she said while he was off in la-la-land. Oh, that was it! "How's things". Even the thought of it made Declan cringe. 'What kind of question is that?' he thought to himself.

"Oh you know.. same shit, different day. Had kind of a rough night last night. How 'bout you?"

It was then that Declan picked up a semi-familiar voice, one of the two he didn't particularly care for. A woman by the name Kosara. She ran with that grumpy ol' bastard, Abe.. they were possibly related, but Declan wasn't fully aware of the relation. The one who always had it out for Declan and Taylor, but especially Declan, for some reason. Or so it seemed. When Declan found Kosara, and as per usual, Abe stood just a few feet from her on the other side of his car. Staring. No, glaring at Declan. Declan's smile before had completely faded away, replaced with a new form of a smile. Declan's lip curled up to one side in a partial teeth baring, holding back the growl that was caught in the back of his throat. He watched Abe sink into his vehicle's seat before breaking eye contact, turning his attention back to Finley. That's when he heard Kosara's next words.

"Yeah, better pull the buckshot with the silver and bane.”

Declan faltered slightly in his steps but tried to play it off as if nothing was wrong, forcing a smile to his face at Fin's own input on the matter.

"Now, who are you talking about? ..them or us?" Declan laughed at his own joke.

She then pushed herself up from her seat and entered through the Cafe doors, heading to the breakfast bar while trying not to look at the table her friends sat at. Once to the bar, she leaned over after getting the attention of a waitress and asked if she could kindly bring a cup of coffee alongside a plate of eggs and toast to their table. She smiled at the waitress who jotted down her order before going about her previous business. Taylor took a deep breath before turning around, making her way to the table where her four, no... three friends sat. 'Where the hell did Andrew go?' She then stepped up beside them and casually leaned up against the booth beside Josh, peering down at him with a soft smile.

"Of course I want in." Taylor hesitantly slid into the spot beside Josh, taking everything in her not to turn bright red. She looked over at Olivia with an even bigger grin as she held up a middle finger to her with a slight giggle. "By the way, Liv, Finn sends her regards." It was then that the waitress came around with Taylor's cup of coffee, mentioning that her food would be out shortly before speeding off to another table with their drinks. Taylor looked over and realized she had neglected to officially say hello to anyone, or even acknowledge Amanda. A lot was going on in her mind at the moment, as well as focusing on not completely having a meltdown sitting so close to Josh. Sure, they were smoking buddies. Sure, they hung out quite a bit but sitting as close as they were made Taylor a bit nervous.

"Hey guys," she said shyly. Taylor looked over at Amanda and raised her eyebrow at her, tilting her head a bit. "Where did your brother go? I literally just saw him sitting here with you guys when I first walked in, turn around after ordering and he was gone. Just, poof!"
