Missile towers and other StarCraft detectors would detect them considering from what I know of the Genestealers, they function similar to a Zerg Changeling. Good luck, mate :)

EDIT: I'm not sure how missile turrets do it, biometric scanners I think.

Well that's not fair cause those are Zergs and these are nids, though it's close enough so I can deal with it. But Changeling 'shapeshift' to look like them not actually becoming them. The missile turrets have no explanation on how they can see them. I'm sure it's just a balancing thing since Zerg entire lore is built around them being in that game.

The changeling, composed of a protoplasmic substance, is capable of shape-shifting into a form resembling a terran. It can shift between specific appearances. It can even send out psionic impressions leading terrans to believe that everything is "all right".

They fool them by looks. Genestealers become part human after birthing them. So they still have human DNA and the newer the generation the closer they are to their host Race.

Edit: Like red said, the whole thing would take generations and that would take forever. So, they'll just be used in interior areas where they shine as bright as their claws.

Later generations would be more effective for sure, but earlier generations would have a harder time I'd imagine. I know for sure Ravens and Science Vessels run a biometric scan and several others I don't know the names of for reveals, but missile turrets...if I had to guess, it would be a lack of actual transponders to say "friendly". Most likely explanation I can think of.

If it's a self contained post, I don't mind. We'll be time skipping tomorrow if no one has issues.

Oh, trust me. I thought about it with every single faction. Genestealers can infiltrate any sentient species so they would work with all but the dummy faction in here.

And the Daleks, though they still may be flesh, I do understand that Genestealers still need to break through their Dalekanium casing -unless I've missed something in lore- and even if you did manage that, the Daleks booby-trapped it to the brim, "Even a dead Dalek is dangerous" - The Doctor.

Plus, to infiltrate the Dalek race, you'd need a casing in the first place to install your genestealer-kaled mutate; trust me on this, Kaleds DO NOT look pretty.

Hmm, I wonder if my alchemist could "cure" a genestealer human.

So, what kind of dangers and opponents could we encounter on the wilderness? Just monsters?

@Hammerman
Before this whole spiriting business, the station itself was pretty monster free. It's about as dangerous as an untamed version of our Earth. And while that is quite dangerous, it isn't anything humans haven't dealt with before. However after the spiriting away, that's changed to some degree.

There could be small bands of people who may attack you, or even petty (very small scale)warlords and raiders. There are monsters of various kinds, too. Things that are more technologically advanced then modern earth are rare in the wilderness. You're free to handle encounters as you see fit regarding who you're dealing with and their nature. Just make sure to keep it within reason and use logic. Naturally, you're less likely to encounter raiders in a swampy area as an example. As a whole, I've been trying to avoid using canon universes with refugees as well. So I'd recommend you guys do the same for simplicity.

Those sort of encounters are enough to be of interest or threaten an individual character, or even a small military force. They're small enough scale that I'd generally let you guys handle them as and when you please.

However, the refugees on the map are groups or threats that, at the barest minimum, are relevant enough to have an entire countries interest. At their maximum, they could even involve everyone on the planet. That's why we GMs will be handling them ourselves.

You can handle the refugees you decided to start with yourself. Future encounters will likely be case by case, depending on what or who you're dealing with.

@ActRaiserTheReturned You might want to go read the lightsaber thing in Arcann's sheet. You still have Vader's name in it.

I'll also be posting Palpatine and then get to posting in the IC.

@Lmpkio

I'll give you some extra time to get a post up before we timeskip. I'll push that back to tomorrow for now. Keep in mind pre timeskip we're just kind of establishing ourselves, after the brief timeskip you can go wild.

Palpy and Vader are TR 2 with no PP. I'd give Palpatine TR 3 but he doesn't get that for the same reasons our older Emperor doesn't.

They are both Approved.

However I'd suggest you reread the first OOC post since it covers a few things I think you missed. Like for example, the gigantic storms around the array that prevent passage.
