Magnet man... I'm afraid Lead isn't magnetic, ser~

EDIT:
You also don't need to explain why you take control of a character when dealing out punishment. It's merely running the rules of the environment in the RP. I would understand the need to explain if they started complaining about it though. You're the GM, it's within your right as such to do whatever you please with your setting. You could have a giant foot crush the tavern if you wanted, not that it'd bode well with any of us~

@RekaiganMight be more Magneto-style, where it affects any metals. Just my take.

@Rekaigan@Tybalt CapuletCorrect! Metal maurader didn't sound right since that implies a mauraduer whos made of metal...so I went with magnet marauder which is his nickname but he is actually gifted with metal elementalism. Kinda like magneto like Tybalt said, he can manipulate any metal including tin, lead, foil, gold, ect. Easiest compared to or confused with magnetism especially since he is a pirate and wouldn't know any better.

Someone with his powers but stronger could turn into metal but he's not nearly that tough. Right now this guy is basically you're first boss encounter. I figured someone would just pickpocket him but a small skirmish will also do.

Don't worry he wont be extracting the iron in your body like at the end of that one xmen movie...XD but yeah this was just to make guns/blades useless, so you guys would have to think of a way to steal the stone or beat him without conventional means. So something more sneaky and subtle.

Or, in the more current case, wait for a distraction like a fight and then steal the stone. Maybe one of you can throw a chair and get a full bar brawl going. That might prove enough of a distraction to get the shard and not have to fight this guy right away. Just to keep everyone together, I would suggest Hayden, Yeva, or Mira steal the stone while Tychus is busy with Enigma. Gharn can whip up the bar brawl by tossing tables all willy nilly which should upset some of the patrons who will in turn start fighting each other. Once one of you has the shard, you could leave the tavern during the commotion. The rest of you, who at that point might be interested in the shard, follows. I would take an alley to avoid prying eyes. Then we can enter he next scene.

This is up to you guys of course. It's just a few ideas and hints. Ultimately how you take on this situation and the story is up to you. Just know...you ALL want that shard. It's the key to the adventure.

@Thread Generator SINI love the way it's going, honestly, and I think it'll play out well. That aside, Mira is very good at stealing from the clothes of people, and less skillful at straight-up pickpocketing, if you catch my drift. She'd be all for knifing someone in an alley if she had to, to take it, and can hold her own in a fight, but in this situation, she's not in her element exactly. She's no all-out-brawler. Still, it'll be fun.

I think the only reason Gharn would ever want the gem would be because it's pretty... He doesn't really have any idea of it's value. He's not very knowledgeable about monetary value of various objects. Hence him trying to pay for water with a tiny lump of solid silver

@Overlord ThrakaHe's just generally a bit naive. I think that trait'll make him a lot of fun, especially around some of the more savvy people.

@tybalt capulet Exactly! His three biggest traits are naivety, aggressiveness and an incredible amount of sheer obliviousness to virtually everything around him. He's a lot of fun to play, because he generally has little to no idea what's going on or how to react. In another RP there was a time when he was so engrossed in eating a good steak he didn't realize a fight had started until something blew up!

He'd be very easily manipulated by a smooth talker, like you said, more savvy people lol.

@Overlord ThrakaMira's the opposite, which makes her interesting to play. She's not much like me at all, and I have to carefully think through how she would act, unlike some of mine where I can just throw down a response with no planning. That only makes me more careful, though, she's still a ton of funn to write.

@tybalt capulet I've noticed that most of my characters seem to be more straightforward thinkers, though in recent times I've tried changing that. Most of my characters take on aspects of my personality. Gharn is my aggressive brash oblivious side, others could be my intelligent side, my happy-go-lucky side or my depressive bitter side. Generally I project myself on my characters, and most end up at least a little like me. Most don't take a whole lot of thinking before posting bar one or two, but they're all fun to write.

Perhapse Mira can use Gharn as a body guard. Just a random idea.

@Thread Generator SINThat's actually not a bad idea, and it's eerily similar to another character pair I had in an older rp, with a were-lion and a harlot (who was a dryad, not an elf, but still...)

@Thread Generator SIN Quite a lot happened here while I was sleeping X)

I'll have my next post up in a couple of hours, I figure Aedre will help stir up the bar a bit and then slip out the door after the others.

Gharn would be more than willing to stay close to the pretty lady! XD

Also really with the other pairing? Cool, I don't see a lot of other Were-creatures around here without it being some kind of of a furry thing. That's not what Gharn is, or what I'd ever play, the whole furry thing just isn't for me.

@Overlord ThrakaYeah, when I have were-people they're more part-wild than part-animal. They have animalistic aspects, but it's definitely a far cry from Furries.

My Werecreatures are inspired by the WereWorld book series. They're anthropamorphic to an extend, but they're heads are full on beastial, not partially humanized and stuff. It's a little hard to explain, but more like this

Instead of this... thing

@Overlord ThrakaI tend to have hints of the animal in the human form, then very beast-like in the beast form. This is right on. Also, thanks for putting that... thing in the hider.

Hayden is probably a bit different than a character I'd normally play... Alignment wide I usually go with Chaotics but he's actually Neutral Good. Keeps him thinking logically so he's more apt to go "I really don't know if we should all so-called And they're going... Guess I have to catch up..." As such it's low-key a bit hard to write for him.

@Overlord Thraka
....love that series... Some parts of that was legit metal af. I haven't kept up though since I've been too busy and I forgot which book I left off with... U.U
