@The 42nd Gecko

Hildr is initially Heaven. Though it doesn't matter anymore with her having gone to the Happy Verse.

Right, well, if Hildr's gone back to the happyverse, as Bastion has both eyes, that puts it to 11:3 and 8:4, even more in the Machina favor.

Apart from characters like Iona, who hardly count because they don't show up, the machina may be better than the angels at being holy.

Huh, Wolf's Halberd has holy element too.

I wonder if there's any Machina melee combatants who DON'T have a holy weapon..

Machina with Holy Attacks:
Grafdakka: Holy Chainsaw (If for some reason he brought that body instead of the reality break chainsaw)
Mecha Maids: Shizuka's stuff and Gwynn's gear
Eos: Amaterasu Heart
Wolf: Celestial Silver Halberd
Ni-Mu: Can make copies of Cydone's sword, and is mini Eos so maybe can do the holy lasers too.
Henry: If for some reason he needed holy instead of the Cheater's Blade or Mjolnir, he could make it with the silver eyes.
Bonesword: Honor Strike, that says it is not holy, but it's anti-demon light, so... Yeah, still counting it.
Maceroy: His Shock lance is Holy type.

Machina without Holy Attacks:
Alexi: Has weak ass ice magic but otherwise can't cover that gap.
Utada: Actually uses sensible machina gear. What?
Lillian: Alchemist stuff, and happyversed anyway.
Unit-T: Is mecha godzilla, and thankfully not mecha jesus godzilla.
Harvester: Doesn't have holy attacks yet. But can probably acquire them pretty easily.

So, discounting Lillian for being Happyversed, that's a 9/4 Machina having holy attacks, and 10/3 as soon as Harvester rips the arms off an angel.

Top fucking kek, I made a reasonable Machina.

Actually, this is kind of a grievous situation, indeed. The Machina are not only better at killing the Demons than the Angels, but they are getting progressively immune to everything in the story, ESPECIALLY Demons, ESPECIALLY a certain someone I'll not name to not reignite the discussion of yesterday, who people are doing their best and even more to neuter away into oblivion.

At this point, the Demons have been cornered in such a way that they were left only with their faction's disadvantages, but no strength whatsoever. They do have one character that can work miracles for them, despite the rest of the Demons having fallen behind the curve of the Machina upgrades and their innate weakness to the Angels, which is even more aggravated by the Angel's meta of quality over quantity, but then again, look at what happened yesterday when the obvious was mentioned.

Said Demon will be changed, instead of discarded, but this will tip the odds towards the Machina in a freaking supermassive way. Doesn't matter either, since I saw yesterday that there's no way to avoid people going the neuter route, there's no point in keeping her like she's now, regardless of efficiency.

Either way the fact is that the Machina are insanely powerful as is. One thing I can guarantee is that Eos will not give a bent screw to any of them, for as much as that maybe OOC to her, since the bigger culprit of this is the difference between her behavior and that of the other faction leaders. So yeah... no outside upgrades for the Machina. I'll get an IC explanation for this involving KC-00032 being sabotaged, just so that it doesn't look like Eos suddenly became as apathetic as the other leaders... once more. Either that, or a certain other thing I have to discuss with @TheWindel, concerning Eos' secrets.

Angels with Holy Attacks
Saef: Adding holy magic onto machina stuff is pretty much his thing, but is ALSO a holy type caster.
Zak: Uses both regular and holy fire.
Flos: Despite being a Fallen Angel has a ton of angelic type attacks, because they're almost all melee amplifications of his angelic weapon.
Sapphire: ONLY has holy element attacks.
Miyu: Happiversed, but her thing was like Saef, adding holy element onto machina stuff.
Omega: Truth and Justice fire holy elemental attacks.
Dorafraki: Mentions that her power has holy origins, but all her attacks are actually lightning and storm based. Still, we'll count it.
Iona: Does she really count as an angel? Still, she's a master of all holy magic.

Angels without Holy Attacks
Juno: Does she really count as an angel? Still, sword is spacial type, not holy, and all her attacks so far shown are gravity type, not holy.
Zeruel: Only has one actual potentially holy type attack (eye beams) and it seems to just be a regular explosion.
Eve: The Lance might be holy, but only says it has fire. And none of her fire moves mention any holy element. And her backstory has her biologically similar to a demon anyway.
Abigail: NPC now, but her elemental attacks are dreams, not holy.
Ananta: The Ofuda MIGHT count, but they're really not an attack. No actual mention of holy type attacks or that the Rakshasa's blade have holy element. Still, happiversed, so doesn't count.

???
Deva: It is unknown whether Deva's chair type attacks count as holy.

7:4 Angels having holy attacks, and I'm willing to bet Deva's are holy for 8:4.

Still, comparitively, 10:3 vs 8:4 for taking the more generous assumption for both, the Machina have a higher ratio of people with holy attacks than the Angels.

You forgot Diana. Her Dragon attacks and sword(s) are all Holy elemental. At this point she can likely do more damage to the Machina than to the Demon with her attacks, though. Given that targeting the Demons at this point is just kicking the dead dog and the Machina have an irrational number of non-Machina on their side.

Anyway, @Grombus, I'll try to have a reply with Victoire up to tomorrow, I don't want to have Maen hanging up for a reply for too long. I've hit a slight slope that's in the way of my creativity, but I'll just push right through it like I always do when this happens. Like I say, any (non nonsensical) post is better than no post when you are stuck with a creative block.

Also, I hope that you realize that drinking her blood will have... adverse effects on him.

Either way, if I don't post I'll get too behind the action anyway, so it's not like that waiting is a luxury I have. I think there's more than 7 posts since my last one, this is too much lagging behind for my tastes.

@KoL Yeah, definitely not the best idea to consume some vampire wolf blood fragments. But barely any of it was consumed, so it shouldn't be too bad of a time for Maen. He took the tiniest little pieces, just the little areas where the blade carved up their skulls. Who knows though, might be interesting. :)

That's not something to worry. I would never go through the route of arresting control of a PC... or their powers. That's just not how I roll. There'll be other effects at work, that's for sure.

So, everyone, I have a most important announcement to do. Please, pay attention to it since this is basically, a final decision I've reached after properly talking with @TheWindel, even though, it's way past the time I should go sleep I'll drop it here now while the resolve is fresh.

After this battle, I'll be moving all my characters (this includes everyone from the Vassals to Diana and everyone between) to proper NPC status. It means that I'll not have them take part in combat as regular fighters ever again for as long as this RP lasts.

Lots of reasons through this year of RP, culminating with tis week's events brought me to believe this is the only acceptable compromise I can do to keep enjoying this on my way, while not getting into "headbutting" fights with any of you.

I'll be arbitrating things from a more neutral position from now on as a result of this, so it'll likely really be the best for everyone.
This however, means that, if my characters ever become available in a fight again, it'll be as some form of Boss. Also, their roles in the story still stand. I'm not shelving anyone, just moving them aside if the PCs' way. This is the only path, really.

I hope you have enjoyed it up to now and keep on doing so, even without my characters getting involved in battles on a regular basis, if at all again.

That's all I have to say. I really need to go sleep now. See ya later.

PS:

I hope you realize that this means that antiteleportation and anti Victoire powers that the Machina have have basically been thrown on the waste bin. After, the only non Machina characters that can teleport are mine. Given that Henry is on their side now, they can't even have the advantage of blocking his gates. That's really wasted upgrades.

PPS:

Since no one commented on it, not that I was expecting any grand replies, I'll also add one more important note. I'll be arresting control of any NPC that's not related to your character's abilities/is part of their CSs from now on.

This means, that if there's something like say... the undead of this battle, that attack anyone regardless of faction, or even faction-sided NPCs, like the armies everyone always forget that come with each faction to the battlefield, unless said the contrary, none of them will be player controllable any longer, instead they'll be actual NPCs. Unless we say so. Among other things, this involves no more auto killing on any mooks that maybe around the place. You'll actually have to take the extra challenge of fighting them, even if they keep on being weak foes.

Only if you are allowed to, then you can command these possible NPCs again.

@BCTheEntity@Silvan Haven

This also means that battles with special "minigame" like conditions can become a thing once again, just like the two of you said you would like to try. The single biggest issue with this was that, invariably, whatever side I was in would have a disproportionately large chance of winning, because... I'll be frank on this one, no one reads the rules and plays by them seriously.

Now that I won't be on anyone's side, no one can blame me for going straight to the objective and making the battle "unfun". So, I already have a few ideas of what can be done in the next conflict.

While I am sorry that you've had to bench yourself, I'm actually very happy objectives might be returning. I really liked the more objective based battles as they added more variety and challenge rather than "just kill each other". It also makes it so characters not strictly combat oriented can be viable again (maybe).

like the armies everyone always forget that come with each faction to the battlefield,

Meanwhile at the faction drops points:

"Got any 2's?"
"Go fish. Got any 7's?"
"Uh...HEY is that the commander finally giving us orders?"
"Ha ha real funny, Brian. Now hand them over."

Well, that's a surprise. I thought that everyone hated this kind of thing since the only opinions we ever had were negative ones, of all kinds and shapes, because of the reasons I mentioned above. Now that has been dealt with, I hope that you guys can actually have fun with it again.

PS:

If people don't voice that they like something, the ones that are shouting nothing but hatred are automatically going to be the only ones heard. Hopefully, this won't be a problem from now on, but we may as well open the suggestion box once more

I'll create a place for that on Discard later, since it really seems like it helped far more than I thought it would.

I know, I'm weird and definitely the minority, but I'll take a CP or CTF over TDM any day. I like having to plan out and strategize having more thought put into actions so that a victory feels earned. While there are a lot of kinks and issues trying something like this in an RP format (as we've already seen in the past) I'm willing to keep trying and experimenting if others are.

As for the PS, I don't usually say much only because 90% of the time I'm at work when discussions such as this pop up and it's hard to write anything quickly enough to really participate. Like right now it's taken me over 30 minutes to get this reply out, not to mention I don't have access to Discord here either. So by the time I get home or have a break, the topic is either resolved or dropped and I ain't gonna stir any pots or reopen wounds around here.

Understood. Ask me if you have any questions on the 1st's equipment or capabilities. On a base level you can think of them like Spartans with less individual skill but higher physical stats.

Is the NPC change going to be immediate or part of the next battle?
