and up goes my mercenary ad.

@Red Alice
Man, my faction's guild would like to advertise as well but the faction needs to have some sort of broadcast radio for that to be possible.

The dummies will sell you a radio if you want one. plus energy weapons and very unsafe rocket craft. actually they'd probably give your faction a radio for free specifically so they can sell you other stuff.

I am probably going to gradually (to avoid spamming everyone with a similar event simultaneously) send a bunch of rockets to every visible node once I know where I am starting from, so that will solve some of the communications problems of the pre-radio factions.

If anyone specifically doesn't want a bunch of bright yellow droids showing up on their doorstep to sell you things, or alternatively wants to be fast tracked onto the arrive scheduled, let me know.

That could work. I was planning for my alchemist to learn about the radio from the refugees then she could make her own. But that way would be faster.

@DracoLunaris Yeah, I suggest a ground approach over a rocket sent over, other wise it'll just get blown up by missile turrets and marines in bunkers. If you do show up, don't count on making much progress. Stetmann's already got prototype weapons and armor in the works XD

No please, Necrons are going to kill everyone. I've actually been hoping for some IG to get in here, DKOK would be nice, artillery regiment, grim outlook. Perfect for a setting that's bound to end up in total war at some point.

I can't risk an assault on the Tyranids at this stage. Besides not knowing where they are, my minions have only ballistic weaponry, which the 'nids have long since adapted to. Hell, they're used to stuff like bolters and lasguns. Using conventional guns would only result in wasted ammo for me and dead minions to feed the swarm.

Until I can steal the secrets of some future tech or even tiberium, I don't really have any means of directly combating them.

Daleks Stronk, just need more power and material output, which means going to war :b Shit. Cause Daleks have only one default when it comes to negotiations... Exterminate.

Huh, if I haven't apped a faction already and shot my wad, I'd have switched out a Battlestar for the UEF of 'Supreme Commander'.

A relatively self-sustaining, rapidly built automated army with a giant mecha as its comand unit? Huh, what's not to like? Ah well, another time and RP.

I'm thoroughly curious as to how force-sensitives will react to Tyranids. Seriously, gods and future armies don't even count in my threat estimates. It's the 'nids I'm worried about.

The Evil Lair is underground. It just wasn't deep enough to warrant an underground start. If the 'nids wind up within tunneling distance...

I thought running as the cybran, but considering build times in that game are canon there is no way that after a month they would not have won already.

Alone or with the Empire? Since he was working for the Hutts more officially than the Empire. The Empire is just a frequent customer if I got my Star Wars right.

Your history is correct. Boba Fett does things for the money and it just so happens he's working for the Empire a lot. I can have him come in originally on a mission for the Empire but then wonder through the world as have others take him up on the offer.

Yea that was my impression. The Hutts and Empire just have the sort of money to be really enticing for him and on a regular basis. Hes outright fought them both before(including Vader) they're just common customers.

I don't doubt he would've been willing to work for the alliance too if they had the credits and he wasn't on contract at the time. I don't think the alliance would ever 'sully' their hands like that though. It'd be a PR nightmare and they love their morality. Probably lots of bad blood there too.

@Red Alice But what do you think of Boba in the RP? He can be a hired mercenary that can be used by others depending on the money he earns from them.

Ever seen Rogue One? You get to see some of the other side of the rebellion in there.

Actually, there are cases of the Alliance, in the Old Canon, now Legends, hiring bounty hunters. It wasn't often, but it was done.

Yeah in Legends, Im pretty sure they were some cases of the Alliance hiring bounty hunters occasionally. However, I dont think they ever used Fett as one.
