Taleste made no sound that she had heard anything as she listened in to the conversation, her earpiece hidden by her hair. She kocked back her drink, but held her hand out to stop a refill. "Easy theer. I dun wanna get drunk," she joked, and she and the bartender shared a hearty laugh before he moved on to serve other customers. She carried on listening. When she heard that her team was going to consist of Horrorshow, and two other whuns she'd never heard of called Seth and Ace, and would be led by the lass talking to the captain, that was all she needed. She paid for her drink, then turned around in her seat. The fight was starting, but before it resorted to blows, she got up and headed towards the bathroom. As soon as punches started being thrown and eyes were off her, she turn back as well, as if you put a bathroom break on hold and watch the fight, but really, she was watching the Captain, Kira and Tibulus. She still didn't want people to know she as with them yet. She could still be an ace in the hole for as long as no connections were made.

"Welp. Showtime."

Tibulus placed a credit note on the table as he watched the fight unfold, watching Taleste out of his peripherals as she walked to the bathroom. After a few seconds, he followed suit, puffing a breath of air out of his skull as he followed behind her, calmly lowering his cigar once he got close as he pretended to just meet Taleste. "So... does this happen often?" A quick flash of the Funganoid's right eye acted as a makeshift wink. He was trying to get Taleste to play along, maybe be a regular of the bar and Tibulus a wandering traveler. Something like that.

Phase one was a rousing success, to say the least.

As the 'fight' escalated and more members of both crews got involved, more and more attention was drawn to the spectacle. With every eye in the place on the brawl, no one could have possibly noticed the recon team slip away, ditto for when they returned shortly after, right around the time Stryker, Carver and a few others stepped in to break up the fight before Sol's guards did. The captains engaged in a mutual apology in full view of everyone. The crowd began to disperse and Carver took his crew and headed out. Stryker held for a few minutes, making a point of slipping the bartender a few extra credit chips and apologizing for the disruption. When enough time had passed, Stryker gathered the crew and headed out for the ship, which took off from its berth shortly after.

The two crews were to rendezvous somewhere safe to make a plan of attack using all of the data they had compiled. Since Sol had ears everywhere on Serros Station, the only safe place was in the nearby asteroid belt. From his place in the cockpit, Stryker noticed a small ship streaking towards them between the massive rock clusters. The Maelstrom was designed for stealth first, so the thing barely showed up on the Revenant's radar sensors. It soared past the Revenant, clearly leading the way to the intended RV point. The two ships took refuge in a crater on one of the largest asteroids and linked up their airlocks. Despite being the much smaller vessel, the Maelstrom had the larger (and more comfortable) meeting room, so the Revenant crew made their way through the airlock bridge and Carver led them to the meeting room.

"Alright Stryker" Carver said "you're the guest, so how about you start with what we discussed at Sol's?"
"Yeah, alright" Stryker reached out and fired up a cluster of images on the holo-table, a profile-shot of Sol took precedence and enlarged as it slowly rotated around the table "As we've established, the target Ne'ero Sol is a dangerous opponent. Former general in the Federation army, left because of his extremist beliefs, which is saying something considering what the Federation has done in the past. He took Serros through sheer force of will. His people are exceptionally trained, and to even get to him, we'll likely have to take out his lieutenants. One of them some of you may have noticed at the bar" An image of the massive Havarn bodyguard took precedence over the holo-table, with three more popping up as Stryker spoke their names "Kovitar Qresh. The other three we've identified as former members of an elite Federation unit that was once headed by Sol, so seems like he's keepin' it in the family. Wrenti K'arr, Vendra Nekten, and Mavarros Sylva, who's also the chief commander of his fleet. Carver, I'm sick of talking, tell them about the fleet."

The other captain jumped right in "Sol and the other 4 major pirate groups that operate out of Serros each command a fleet, perhaps armada is the better word? Anywy, they've each got anywhere between a dozen to thirty ships under their sway. Naturally Sol is the one who has thirty, and it's headed by a flagship that frankly, scares the shit out of me."
A hologram of the ship filled the space above the table, with other much smaller vessels beside it for scale.
"As you can see, the thing's a fucking dreadnought. Definitely has nuclear capability too, all vessels of it's class normally do. That thing's gonna be an issue eventually, but that's not anything to worry about now."

"So on to phase two of the plan" Stryker said "As you all know, this mission isn't just about deposing Sol, it's about establishing a new top dog on Serros, one who'll work for us and further Alliance interests in the region. Carver and I are gonna take the Maelstrom with a small team and head back to the station to reach out to the guy we decide is the best fit for the job. The rest of you, and I do mean all of you, will be taking the Revenant out a little ways. The Alliance cover story has us posited as a pirate crew, so you're gonna pirate some pirates, in particular, you're gonna be hitting a reaver ship allied to one of the other major factions who call Serros home. Standard boarding policy, slot everyone aboard, no survivors. The point of the attack is to acquire a few samples of this group's battle armor, so aim for their heads, ok? We're gonna need it for the next part of the plan."

"Any concerns? Questions? Voice them now."

Lexi grinned in amusement. She saw the violence unfold, and while listening to her orders, she would probably get to have some fun of her own. At the meeting room, She heard stryker talk about the plan, and laughed harder than before. She remarked cruelly yet smartly, "If your on the fake pirate crew, can people on that said crew put holes in the ship? Because I've worked with pirates before, and after they steal, they normally destroy." She took out a small creature in a vial from her pocket and showed it to Stryker. "Besides, this little bastard is a destructive force of nature when it's natural predator isn't around. The little green yet lanky creature looked at her with fear, but then turned towards stryker and bared rows of orange teeth and then went crazy in the tube. It poked a small hole in the glass and then she growled viciously at it. It immediately stopped and balled up in fear. She then put it back in her pocket.

"Children, and what about me?"

Tibulus was stone-cold with his delivery, mentioning it over the local comms while he fumbled around with an electronics kit he had lying around. He'd half expect this crew to not kill any children, but you had to do what you had to do, he supposed. He just hoped he didn't have to see any of that happening. There was also the matter of what Tibulus would be doing in the meantime. He was eager for action, but then again, he'd be a dead giveaway to any of the crew if he showed his face around that bar with any of his fellow colleagues beside him. At least he got the liquor, though. He'd definitely be saving the rest for a special occasion.

Taleste stretched her legs out under the table, and yawned shamelessly. Despite this, she seemed to have taken everything in. They hadn't run into anything to test her skills. One locked door that she took three seconds to pic, and she spent the rest of her time on the recon team standing around and missing alcohol while the important people did the important stuff. When Stryker outlined the next phase of the plan, Taleste leaned forward.

"I'm assuming I'l be a whun in thuh Maelstrom. I'm not very guud at fighting, but I am guud at actin' an' talkin'. Though, if I am in the Pirate crew, I hope it is civilians. If there are whuns who fight back, I'm not gonna be much help. If I do have to kill, I'm more of an assassin than a soldier."

"Aim for their heads you say..." Amy said with a playful smirk, not too loud but remaining audible enough to be heard by anyone nearby, to include Stryker. Someone from her own crew may appreciate the joke. In fact, the only person that probably would react was Grayson, but for the guys from the Maelstrom, her little remark more than likely went over their heads as it was likely that they hadn't been filled in about her condition just yet. Not that it wasn't obvious if anyone took a second look at her.

"Easy enough."

Obviously unable to gauge anyone's reactions, Amy stayed quiet and listened to the more "pressing" matters from the rest of her crew.

Tobis' red personality enjoyed the conflict at the bar. Though maybe he shouldn't have put several people through tables. He went into a drone like state for a little while after until his sensors detected something that might be worthy of his attention. His body idly followed others until then.

When the mention of phase two was picked up by Tobi, he activated immediately. Listening to Stryker talk was boring, or helpful and necessary. His personalities couldn't really debate about it. Tobi perked up slightly when the squads and their goals were going to be.

Ren

Plotting a Slaughter

Ren's habit of cycling between its bodies continued on board the ship before the meeting and after the bar brawl. The machine was addicted to its unique ability to think differently depending on which unit was active, and on occasion, it made a half-hearted attempt to force itself into both Renli and Rento at once. A few seconds of colliding thoughts and consciousnesses sent a short ripple of weak, unpleasant psychic energy through the ship - not because Ren had any innate psychic abilities, but because all of Ren's minds violently rejected one another, and Ren found itself with not one but three headaches.

Later, during the meeting and planning of the mission, Rento spoke up. Renli was still on board the Revenant moving shells from the cargo hold into the turrets - it seemed prudent to make sure everything was completely loaded, even if they hadn't spent all that much on the mining station job.

"There won't be any children on their ship, Bones. It's a raiding vessel, isn't it? Don't'cha think kids would just, uh, get in their way?"

Unless they were hostages from a previous run the raiders had made. That might be a bit troublesome, but she'd burn that bridge when she got to it. Rento continued, "Either way, I'm staying with the Revenant. If any of me are active and move to another region of space on board the Maelstrom without my core, I'll shut down until I can reboot and lord only knows how long that'll take. Any vague ideas what that battle armor can do? Do we know what kinds o' weapons they use, or are we running in blind again?"

There were some other thoughts and worries running through her mind in regards to other crew members, but she opted not to voice them.

Grayson, sitting next to Amy, gave her a little nudge in the side and whispered "Good one"

Stryker went around the room and addressed everyone who spoke in order, starting with Lexi.
"Whatever that thing is, keep it on a short leash" he began, then quickly added "In fact, if it eats it's prey entirely, don't use it. We need their armor for the next stage of the plan. As for the 'holes in ship' situation, go nuts. The ship needs to completely disappear."

Turning to Tibulus, Stryker took a breath and began again
"Like Rento said, there won't be any children anywhere near this ship, so that's not a concern Tibulus. There won't be any civilians for that matter either Taleste. That said, and this is for you as well Tobi, there could be anywhere from fifty to a hundred pirates aboard that ship, the attack squad is gonna need all hands on deck. It's just myself and Carver heading to meet the pirate."

Carver stepped in to answer Rento's questions.
"No special properties on the armor itself, it's just your standard medium-to-heavy-plating. The real prize is the group's insignia. They carve it into the core of the plating itself with a special brand of arc-plasma cutter that's hard to come by. Impossible to properly replicate on the short time frame we have. As for weapons, they could truly be using anything at all."

"We've got a plan of attack drawn up, it's pretty simple but all the same Kira'll brief you on the way. She's got command of this mission. If there's no more questions, then let's move out. Dismissed"

As the Revenant crew made their way back to their own ship, the Maelstrom crew headed off to get their gear and made their way across the interconnected airlocks to join the others. Stryker, Kira and Carver stood at the threshold between the two ships.
"Alright, she's all yours, try and bring it back in one piece ok?" Stryker said as he shook Kira's hand and quickly stepped out of the way, leaving the couple their privacy for a goodbye.
"Alright babe, kick the shit out of those pirates. See you soon" Carver said as he embraced his wife.
"Not if I see you first" she said before moving in for a kiss. They broke off and went their separate ways.

Kira turned on her comms as soon as she entered the ship, even though most of her crew and the Revenant's were still clustered around the crew deck.
"Alright, short and sweet folks. Pilots, I'm sending the coordinates up now. When we get close, we'll get a few people to man the guns. Force our way through their airlock, if not we make one of our own by blowing a hole in the side of the thing and moving in for a heavy seal. We'll review battle formations when we're getting close, now let's get to it!"

@Hawlin@t2wave
Stryker and Carver made their way back to Serros Station and after docking, began to pick their way through the crowds towards the agreed-upon meeting point with Lucas Vanderos, a human who led a fairly respectable group (by pirate standards). In the short discussion teh captains had been able to have, they both agreed that a human would be the most likely candidate to agree to a partnership with the Alliance. In fact, Carver had already reached out in the days prior and secured a tentative agreement.
"Here he is" Carver said as he entered the small shack-like structure they were meeting at.
"Hello Carver" he struck out a hand "Lucas Vanderos"
"Stryker" he replied as he took the handshake "How much do you know"
"Oh, pretty much everything. This one filled me in good."
"And?"
"Oh, I'm fine with all of this. Sol's been asking for it for a long time now, finally gonna get what's coming to him. So you've got yourself a deal... there's one thing though. I want you to take a couple of my people, Kaeci and Harriet. They'll represent my interests, keep me informed on how things are going. I've already called em, should be along shortly."
"If it'll get this deal done, I accept" Stryker said.

As Lexi packed up for the Pirating-pirates inception, she noticed that she still had a Janguar horn. "I still have this damn thing? Well, dad always did find a way to make sure I remembered things." She finished packing and went to the ship.

When walking up the loading ramp, she saw the others preparing as well. She found her way to the lab on the ship and dropped her bag and sat down on a stool. "Well it can't get any worse than this. I'm already stuck doing this any how, might as well finish so I get paid." She closed her eyes and put her head down on the table and slept.

Harriet

@Crossfire@Hawlin

It didn't take long before Harriet arrived with Kaeci in tow. Not that she had to babysit the creature, but the woman suspected that at least part of the reason she was chosen for this task was because the Iilusian fancied her in an odd way. It wasn't like love as far as she could tell. More like instinct being turned on its head because she was a walking plant while her companion was somewhat insectoid so there was an unusual draw. Whatever the reason Kaeci acted differently around her. He was less likely to do something rash.

Aside from that factor she was one of the calmer crew members of the pirate group. Not having the same hormonal drives as many other species she focused on the task at hand. Here she was going to make sure that things didn't go south for her benefactor. While pirates were not the kind of group she ever intended to be a part of it was far better than some alternatives that awaited her.

Bipedal plant creatures were not usually hard to spot in a crowd as they were fairly rare. One with a human form was even rarer. Upon approach the leaves of her hair could be heard rustling ever so slightly as the air moved around her. Spotting Vanderos right away she made her way to the group. She glanced at Stryker and Carver for a moment before turning her attention back to Vanderos. "This them?"

The station was a wondrous place by Kaeci's standards; establishments where others could cook for you or even provide human garments assuming your commission held the right weight, it certainly put into perspective the point of what his job had become. Cutlery was a foreign concept, though it didn't seem to be as much of an issue in said establishments than back on the ship. Kaeci supposed that paying for food implied you were to eat as you please. Truly confounding.

The other favored aspect of the station was shown as he arrived a few steps behind Harriet, fiddling with a black and white plaid scarf and having the decency to give footwear a chance in the way of boots along with black over-knee socks.
At first, it hadn't even seemed like he was even aware of his surroundings until a small notion teased the back of Harriet's mind. Like her own thoughts paired with a second small voice, Kaeci sharing his thoughts, "Humans. The captain and the mentioned...Scarf..."
A mild craving faded with the presence of thought, something akin to anger but cold and impersonal. Meanwhile, Kaeci's pupils rounded after having grown sharp in the proximity to perceived prey before quickly suppressing such unbecoming urges. This was certainly not the time or place for such behavior, and especially not for Harriet to bear witness to. T'would be quite rude, indeed.

"Ah. Iz seemink so" Kaeci softly and optimistically chirped, eyes shifting between Stryker and Carver over the edge of the scarf he'd pulled up over his nose while reasoning out the best way to go about wearing it.

"If you need me on attack, you know where to find me," Tibulus returned to the confines of his cockpit, a few drawing now decorated the place. They were blueprints for another tool, sure, but it at least made Tibulus feel more at home. Hell, his home was already a large cockpit, now that he really thought about it. Oh joy.

Tibulus sat at the controls, noting the coordinates and punching them into the console carefully. If he fucked up, well... they'd probably enter the moon or something. That's not a good idea, nor was this plan in general, to be quite honest. You could've probably just found an easier way into Sol's place without going through other pirates. Eh, this way was one of the more... clean ways, to be honest. That says a lot considering the circumstances that Tibulus was in. He just hoped that this would be over with so he could get his check and move on. Or maybe a robot body. That'd be cool, if not for it being highly expensive to manufacture and implant his mind into.

It could work in some way. That's the future though.

"Matthias and Letrouche, this is Stryker and Carver" Vanderos said, gesturing to each person as he said their name "They know the deal, you won't have to worry about them. So, last bit of business, I want a guarantee that I'm kept completely out of all of this business, like we agreed."

"Sol won't have a clue that you're involved." Stryker said "As we speak, the rest of our crew should be starting an attack on one of Farek Faroesen's ships. They have orders to acquire branded armor and frag the entire ship. We're gonna make Sol think Faroesen is behind the coup, draw them into a war. Once they're both off the board, should be easy for you to step into Sol's shoes. If he calls on you as an ally during the fighting, you answer it"
"Alright then" Vanderos said as he stretched out his arm for a deal-sealing handshake.
As Stryker was reaching out, Carver slapped his hand away as spoke to Vanderos.
"There's one last bit of business. The intel drop on the other pirate crews. I paid you half already. The other half is here"
A bundle of credit chips was produced and placed on the table, but Carver never took his hand away from them. Vanderos chuckled and reached into a pocket to pull out a data card.
"This is good information, so these chips better be clean."
"One of my men worked the black market in this region for decades. He assures me they've never been through a linked network"

With a nod from Vanderos, the exchange was made and hands were shook. He said a terse goodbye to Kaeci and Harriet, then exited the shack.
"Shall we?" Stryker said, leading the way out and back to the docks.
Nobody really spoke as they walked and picked their way through the crowd, not until they were a stone's throw away from the Maelstrom.
"This is us here" Carver said pointing it out "You folks got any gear you need to gather up? Or you ready to go now? It's no rush either way, we're not expecting the rest of the crew back for a few hours"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the Revenant, Kira had called for everyone to come to the War Room for final briefing. Grayson was half-way through getting his armor on when the call came in, so of course, he was late, but then again, so was Kira, who was nowhere to be seen as he walked into the War Room. Using the moment he tapped on Amy's shoulder and leaned in to speak.
@Xandrya
"Hey, come by the armory for a second once this meetin's done? Made a few last minute adjustments to your suit an' I wanna go over it with ya before we start this fight."

"Alright everyone gather around, I'm only sayin' this once" Kira said as she walked in to the war room, already fully geared up save for her helmet. A hologram of the target ship came up on the table, a materials hauler retrofitted with an array of cannons.

"So, we're gonna come up on it from the rear, put a few blasts from the main cannons into the thrusters and across the bridge, see if we can either cripple them, or cut their head off. As we strafe up alongside it's rear, we're gonna split focus between disabling the guns on that port-side wing and blasting a few holes in this rear section. If we can depressurize it, that'll knock out a large amount of the enemy combatants before we even get boots on the ground. In fact if we pull this much off without any trouble, emergency airlocks will engage, sealing off the entire aft of the ship from the forward decks, where we're expecting the bulk of their people to congregate."
She stopped long enough to take a few breaths and to size up the Revenant crew before she doled out fireteam assignments.
"Here's how it's gonna work: Doesn't look to me like there are any easily accessible exterior docks, so we'll have to go after a not-so-easily accessible one. To that end, a small team will be staying aboard the ship, a pilot and a gun crew. You guys will use the full might of the weapons system to disable or destroy as much of the ship's defenses as you can. The bulk of us will be taking one of the shuttles down to this position here" she indicated the midsection 'dip' in the hull where exposed piping ran between the fore and aft sections of the ship "There's an access hatch here that ought to be easy to hack or blast our way through. Beyond that hatch we'll split into two squads, the main attack force, who'll proceed into the forward cargo area and begin the assault, and a stealth squad made up of myself and these two" she pointed to Amy and Taleste "We're going through the ventilation system and making our way up to this front section of the ship, where the hull widens out. While the main force is drawing their attention, we'll be securing this airlock for the Revenant to dock in and then close in on the fight so we can start picking off any stragglers in the rear. Still a chance of some depressurization where the Revenant will be fighting off the exterior defenses, so full hermetically-sealed suits on at all times. Once targets are down, we'll secure as much of the armor as we can grab off the corpses and then get back on the ship and frag it from a safe distance. Everyone clear? We'll be there in 20."

Taleste nodded, smiling. It was crystal clear. A firefight, she wouldn't be much good in, and hated putting her life at risk if she could help it. But stealth? Now that was right up her alley! She left the war room and headed up to her cabin, grabbing her silenced pistol and her knife. She was going to need both of these, she felt. Returning to the communal area, she got suited up, and attached her lockpicks, knife and gun to the outside of her suit. They wouldn't be much good if she couldn't reach them.

Amy nervously tapped her fingers on the armrest before she stood up. "Let's get this show on the road, shall we?" she said with a sigh. With a quick nod aimed at Kira, Amy exited the War Room to head down to the armory. She took note of that fact that she had was on a tight schedule as time was a luxury they didn't have at the moment. She'd have to show up, put on her armor, and be on her way once more to meet up with the rest of the team. Not that she was worried in the least bit how Grayson would react. After all, the mission always comes first.

"So you have another gift for me, huh?" Amy smiled as she walked into the armory, seeing Grayson hunched over something he was working on. "You're just full of surprises, aren't you?" she continued, looking around for her armor. Her expression and voice then changed. "Alright, we don't have much time so give me a quick rundown of what I need to know and the rest will just have to wait until we get back."

Kaeci hadn't been in service to Vanderos long enough to have much allegiance in the way of an emotional farewell. The occasion still earned enough of the Iilusian's attention to warrant breaking from fiddling and picking at his new scarf to offer a small wave. Changing hands had become his life ever since he was pried off of his planet, and the allure of stars and cultures beyond imagination was tempting...though there was always something missing. Distractingly so, 'Miss Harriet' exuded a small familiar glow he couldn't help but be drawn to in this sea of steel like a moth to a flame.
In such a primal sense, no, it was not 'love' as humans understood it in spite of how it seemed at times. There likely wasn't even a word in Kaeci's native language to describe the alien 'Miss Harriet'.

Fine bladed mandibles leisurely picked at one of the ends of the plaid scarf as the small group approached the docked vessel. Looking up at the craft while Carver spoke, Kaeci folded his commlink and spat out the fabric. "I haf put in zeh order for my szinks to be sent over. Ohzer zehn zeht, yeh, I am about ready" he mused, sputtering out a bit of fluff and resting their hands on his hips before looking over to Harriet for her response.

"Ok" Stryker said to Kaeci "Well like Carver said, there's no rush. We can head aboard and talk a little while we wait, if you both wanted. We're gonna be spending some time together, might as well get a little familiar right?"
Stryker walked up the ramp to the ship turning to see if the newcomers would follow, Carver had already disappeared inside to begin pre-flight checks.

----------------

@Xandrya

Grayson had just finished putting on his armor and making some last minute calibrations when Amy walked in.
"Alright lass, nice and simple" he said, walking across to the workbench her armor was sprawled out on "I added on the extra layer of plating to the exposed joints like we said, ditto for some armor on your visor. Now, the real important thing, I've wired in a little sensor, similar to a standard IFF system, friend or foe identity system that is. Runs at all times in the background, so when you're looking at any of us, the sensor detects the IFF beacons in our suits, lets you know that whoever's nearby is a friendly. Now, when you're looking at an enemy, the sensor pings them as such and sets off a little warning signal in your earpiece. It's a small thing, but it could give ya a big advantage out in the field."
He walked over and leaned in to embrace Amy "Stay safe out there alright?"

-------------------

SAL picked his weaponry up after the meeting was done and began to walk down to the Cargo Bay to ensure the shuttles were ready to go. As he passed the common area on the Crew Deck, he noticed people from the Maelstrom, Mr. Vulcaan and one of the Thane twins, as well as Lataniva and Joe gathered around the largest table, chatting as they prepared for the fight.
".... that godsdamned left shoulder piece is a little crotchety Jen, help an old man out and secure it please?"
"Sure thing Rob, just hold still a minute" the young lady said, as she stepped up, she turned to Joe "So what were you saying?"
"Oh right, er, the left drive core hit a leak last week during a ship-wide systems malfunction, so if there's any issues at all with the ignition systems, it's probably that, I've been lacking the proper resources to fix it, so it's just patched up for the moment. Other than that, you shouldn't run into any trouble with the ship."
Lataniva shifted her gaze over to SAL, looking almost bored with the proceedings as she adjusted her belt of knives. SAL, having nothing to add to the conversation, and sensing time was short, proceeded on to his task.

Kira needed to speak to her brother, they always spoke for a minute before heading into battle, especially when they had separate combat assignments, but when she found him, he was deep in conversation with Juliette. The two had gotten close over the last few months and Kira suspected that it was getting serious. Good for him, he'd never quite been the same after whatever happened when his gunship was shot down over Carren IV during the war. Good for her too, Kira considered, her and her sister have been through so much, even before their war hero father was executed by Federation insurgents. She hung back until the two broke their embrace. As Juli passed Kira, she flashed a supportive smile to the younger girl, then carried on to speak with Marcus.

Kira's voice rang through the ship.
"All hands report to your stations, all hands to stations"

Standing in the cockpit just behind the pilots seat, Kira took in the sight of the massive pirate vessel as they approached to its rear. It was awe-striking, and somewhat terrifying, given that the Revenant was less than a quarter of the cruiser's size, but there'd be time to appreciate these things later, they had a job to do. Through the open door of the cockpit, Kira looked over her shoulder to see the gun crew taking their places, some of the Revenant mainstays had shown them how to handle the ship's weapon stations. The boarding party was getting secure down below.

"Alright Mr. Sepitan" Kira said to the ship's skeletal pilot "This is your boat, so it's only fitting you get to fire the opening salvo. Take us in."

"Honestly Kira, that was my father. Please..." Tibulus took a small pause as he pressed a few buttons on the console, firing the ships frontal laser as it moved to it's east, landing a hit directly on one of the other ship's weapons, disabling it.

"... call me Tibulus, the best goddamned pilot in the cosmos." The ship continued moving eastward slowly at a ninety degree angle, the head of the ship pointing towards the other as Tibulus prepared to make maneuvers. These maneuvers, which this ship could never do in theory, were entirely possible when the main pilot had multiple appendages that knew what to do. Two vine-like appendages unzipped Tibulus's jumpsuit slightly and flew to the co-pilots controls, starting to work on them as a few side guns began firing at the pirate ship's sides. Didn't want to damage the cockpit, that'd take too long to repair for this mission.
