I want to apologize to the players still in this game/considering to join the game for the OOC disruption. There is a frequent problem with trolls in role plays here, and I've been in games that have collapsed because of their outbursts, and I can tell you that when they happen it is never fair to the GM. It is never fair to have someone with an attitude in the game try to destroy the integrity of the game. I intend to combat these issues when they happen for there is no reason why a game should collapse over one disgruntled player.
If you all have been discouraged to continue to write here because of the situation, then I understand. If you wish to give this game a chance, then I thank you for remaining with the game. I intend to get more players in here, you guys are free to post when you want, and hopefully, we can get this game rolling as it should. :)
@Holy Soldier Well this is ridiculously late, but last week was an absolute mess. Hopefully ya'll are still willing to put up with me.
SOLDIER Third Class
Name:
Rowen Tuesti
Age:
18
Date of Birth:
June 20th, 1983
Gender:
Male
Height:
5’9”
Weight:
180 lbs
Hair Color:
White (formerly dark brown)
Written Description:
By all accounts, Rowen does not look at all like your typical military man. He is hardly imposing at only 5’9” and there is a definite greenness to him that most people are quick to pick up on. And while he has an athletic build, it is not nearly as well pronounced or muscular as other members of SOLDIER. But despite these obvious shortcomings, Rowen still carries himself with a sense purpose and there is an unmistakable confidence in his eyes. Not even the drab blues of the Third Class uniform can cover the aura of nobility that years of his father’s tutelage have engrained in him.
Before joining SOLDIER, Rowen had kept his brown hair slicked back and formal, but now it is left unruly and snow white, the latter of which is due to him inheriting Ramuh’s genome. While it was a bit unnerving at first, barely a thought is wasted on it since he sees it as a purely superficial change.
Personality:
Easygoing and genuine, Rowen is not at all what most would expect from the son of Roland Tuesti. Where his old man had made a reputation for himself by being cold and calculating, Rowen has strived, with varying degrees of success, to be more open with others and to be a kinder force than his father ever was. Yet if you look closely, you will still find traces of his strict upbringing in his near unshakable confidence and how he absolutely hates losing.
There is an intelligence to Rowen that has been cultivated by years of studying. And while he does not care all that much for being overly formal and adhering to needless etiquette, he is quite disciplined and loathes leaving a task half finished, since in his mind it will just make more work for himself later. And while he is not nearly high strung enough to be considered a perfectionist, Rowen definitely has an appreciation for keeping things ordered and prefers to discuss plans thoroughly rather than simply charging headfirst at the problem.
There’s a naiveté to Rowen that is telling of his upbringing that left him wanting for little. This can range from the mundane, such as not understanding common slang, to the shocking, like not knowing how to do his laundry. One can say that Rowen is immature in the truest sense of the word, as he has a strong dislike of the actions of Shinra, but no real idea about what he can do to change it. And while he is sorely lacking in experience, he is eager to fix that and learn. But, perhaps most importantly, he is still growing and changing.
Background:
Born into the Tuesti family, whose name reached prominence due mostly to the work of Reeve Tuesti, Rowen was born to a life that left him wanting for little. But while his uncle Reeve is known to have true compassion for the citizens of Midgar, Roland, Rowen’s father, is ambitious and calculating. And it was these two traits that the man hoped to pass on to his eldest son, so that one day Rowen could follow in his footsteps. By no means did Rowen have a traumatic childhood, but it was one filled with rigid expectations and intolerance for failure.
From an early age, Rowen was tutored in the ways of manipulation and foresight, all so that he could be groomed to become just as fearsome of a business man as his father when his time came. And that very well may have happened, had it not been for his uncle who mentored the lad under the guise of giving him work experience. He had only been 15 at the time, but already he was starting to have the same cold and calculating demeanor of his old man. Yet, as he worked with his uncle and saw the unjust treatment Shinra was prone to subject its citizens to, Rowen began to quietly reject his father’s teachings.
It wasn’t until he turned 18 that this little rebellion of his truly took shape though. Being a pragmatist, Rowen couldn’t see himself taking after his uncle Reeve and quietly doing what he could to help the people from the inside, all the while biting his tongue as others got hurt and exploited. So instead, he set his sights on joining SOLDIER, where he believed he could directly help and protect others, just like the hero of the Wutai War, Sephiroth.
Despite his clear lack of actual combat experience, Rowen’s long hours of studying fencing, which had been put on him by his father to “hone his mind,” seemed to have been enough to satisfy his examiners of his potential. Being placed in third class was no real surprise to him, but ending up under the command of one Lapin Delacroix certainly was. The two had known each other since childhood, but could hardly be called friends because both of their personalities where almost inherently at odds with each other.
Nevertheless, Rowen has fully committed himself to SOLDIER. What began as a simple desire to free himself of the future that his father had laid out for him has grown into a true sense of wanting to help people and to find out his true worth.
Summon Genome:
Weapon:
Rowan wields a rapier which has been modified to accommodate his enhancements. The blade is thicker and made of sturdy mythril, but thanks to his increased strength he can still wield it properly. Its three materia slots are housed within its grip.
Materia:
Lighting Bolt Bolt 2 Bolt 3
Enchant Enthunder
Limit Break:
Mindspark: When pushed to his breaking point, static begins to crackle around Rowen haphazardly. After a brief charge up period, a sphere of lightning forms within his free hand. He then launches the sphere at his enemies, which then explodes in chaotic arcs, dealing moderate lightning damage and leaving those hit briefly paralyzed.
The ripples on the surface means nothing. Beryl, upon first glance seems anything but pensive. He has boyish features, skin as smooth as silk, and a creamy complexion that compliments his overall mystery. All the same, there are times when his full lips will straighten into a grimace or when his eyes, once tinted with mirth, will deepen and fade. Those alien blue-green eyes, which oddly enough fits perfectly on him, are wide, sharp, and transparent. His teal blue hair, in a different shade of light, can be mistaken for sea-green at times. Though the color can be viewed as rare, his diligence to care for it is not. He often leaves his home without touching it, letting his unruly, short cut fall where it may.
At SOLDIER like his other colleagues, he wears the mundane Third-Class outfit. His svelte frame makes it easy for him to blend in and go unnoticed. Because of his past he's often spotted alone, either drifting off or listening to music.
Personality
Beryl walks a thin and near-gray line of destruction. He is a master at concealing his emotions, often leading others to guess and assume or outright provoking confusion. And despite an outright show of cheer and good nature, he despises the current state of humanity and humans. He finds them frustrating but worth the hard-work of saving. This aversion to people has led him to plunge inwardly, often distracting himself with the few things he cherish. The powerful heart-changing sounds that comes from music, the messy peace of the night, the thought-consuming work behind studying and learning.
He can lose himself in the middle of a crowd, often leaving behind only a trace of his presence. Simple mathematics sends him up the wall with headaches and while he openly declares he has something he hates, he'll never let it leave his lips. To fear something similar to what he hates is ironic, because the facts are he trembles unbidden in front of cats. More specifically beneath their unnerving gazes. He became a SOLDIER in hopes of escaping his poverty and becoming stronger.
Background
Beryl is a survivor of the Wutai War and last member of the Ukihara lineage. As a young boy he was witness to the bloody war. Shinra Infantry and SOLDIERs alike stormed their village mid-war. Many were killed even more tortured. His father, mother, and older sibling was capable of escaping. However, it was all for naught. They traveled to the blessed Da-Chao Statue hoping for sanctuary. Only to run into others migrating as well. Once reaching the statue, they had a small respite before being attacked again; this time by SOLDIERS. After witnessing his family killed off in succession, from father to sister, Beryl (formerly named Daigo) was whisked off to Midgar for safety by a missionaries.
There he lived as a vagrant. He changed his name in the way simpletons would, simply describing his new appearance. He studied hard, learned the ways of the slums, built his physicality, and eventually discovered a new way of thinking. He had ascended himself above the moral code. He had decided not to hate Shinra for its misdeeds but to use it for his goals and ambitions. The world was corrupt and that stupid symbol, the emblem of a lion, was burned into his mind. Reminding him of his past on a molecular, visceral level. He decided he needed to become a SOLDIER for his goals. So he made connections, did things that would require unasked favors as payback. Eventually he was scouted and once he joined, he had instantly obtained the moniker "Blue".

Requiem (鎮魂曲) - Beryl falls into a peculiar stance, once known specifically to those who practiced the lost art of Iaido. Its there, in that controlled stance, that he sharpens his focus to inhuman levels and prepare to deliver a flurry of slices and slashes in the blink of an eye. Associated with these slashes are pressurized blades of water that are capable of cutting through steel. Beryl lets loose 10 slices to a single target.
@RennyEverything looks good. However, the Limit Break. I need you to specify how many slices are being dealt within the duration of the limit break and if it attacks a single target or multiple targets.
