Sand slowed as she neared what she thought was the PE classroom. She produced her Scroll in one hand, ensuring that the room number above the door was the same as the one marked in her schedule, and leaned in past the frame. Her peeking revealed the training equipment she had been expecting, along with a few students already inside, but no professor.

She supposed that was good. Must have meant she was not late, and she’d have some time to herself before the class started.

Readjusting the strap on her duffel bag, she strode into the room, beelining towards one of the empty benches. She took her seat there, setting her bag down next to herself. Seeing as she had missed the Grimm Studies class, some of the bulk inside like the extra change of clothes she had packed would likely go unused, but that detail was hardly worth thinking about at that point.

Instead, she glanced at the other students in the room, listening to the few snippets of their conversation that reached her. Seeing them together, she found herself wondering if any of her teammates was enrolled in this class.

She frowned slightly.

Perhaps I should have made more of an effort to learn their schedules. Sharing class could have been a good excuse to learn more about them. Or everyone could focus on their own tasks and not share a word. Hard to say without knowing how the class is taught.

Sand hummed and gave the barbell behind her a searching glance, wondering if she should simply start training on her own while she waited, but quickly discarded the idea. She was not so terribly impatient that she could not wait a few minutes for their professor.

Instead, she leaned forwards, resting her arms against her knees in a relaxed posture while she continued to idly eavesdrop on the other students.

Survival

Armory class had come and gone in a flash, after having her little talk with Amy, Emerald was feeling a lot better. Sure, Amy wasn't ready to talk just yet, but at least she hadn't outright rejected her, right?

But never mind that now, she'd see Amy after classes. Right now, she needed to focus on all these cupcakes that were apparently on everyone's seats in Survival! As Oswald spoke blasphemy and Anna punished him for it, Emerald had already stuffed an entire cupcake into her mouth.

After a minute or two Emerald had scarfed the whole thing down, after a swallow Emerald pointed a finger at Oswald. “Sweets make the world go around Oswald. Don’t anger the gods of sugar with your blasphemous heresy!”

Emerald stood up on top of her desk. "Listen! These cupcakes will give us the energy we need to survive! That's what our good teacher is trying to tell us!" She exclaimed this rather loudly.

"Both of 'em, actually." Ben answered, after mulling the question over a second. "I had me, Sangue, Nuit, and Skye at first. Picked up a few strays after that, but started with them."

After that, though, Bastille's captain gave a long, low whistle. As hectic as his weekend had been, Luke's had been even more hectic. Somehow. He had to wonder sometimes if they didn't just attract it. If somehow they didn't just draw the insanity around them towards themselves, given all of the bizarre occurrences they had to deal with. Even at a place like Beacon it really did seem like they were magnets for extra crazy.

Though, honestly, he wouldn't have it any other way. It'd be too dull.

So the blacksmith clapped his friend on the back and flashed him a grin.

"Look at it this way, man, life has to heap the crazy on us. It's the price for us just being so goddamn handsome. A terrible burden, but one we can bear." Ben's grin widened a little. "We gotta find some time to hang out. You can tell me about this Atlesian lunatic that followed you home, I've only heard the legends."

He turned the smile on Skye as the girl approached, and pulled a chair a little closer so she could still talk once she'd taken a seat. The hand not resting on Luke's shoulder gave her a friendly wave.

"Hey, Skye, good to see you. Glad everything turned out alright with the Dionaea, that got a little hectic."

Survival Class
Mucking About in Survival Class

Armory Class went by quickly. After Sapphire had come in to inform him and Oswald of her leave, Gren just sort of went into autopilot mode. It was sort of a final nail into the coffin; his team was truly gone now. Surely the administration would assign him a new one but… He was alone. He wasn’t sure how to feel about it so the best bet was to just let himself be lost in his work. He finished his project for Oswald, only needing that barrier generator comparable to the coliseum. Gren’s essay was lengthy and technical but also filled with needless fluff and jargon just to pad out the length and make it seem more impressive. The only real details anyone could discern from it, once they remove the useless bits of information, was that Gren worked on a sword for Oswald. No further information was given beyond that.

The next class he had was Survival. It was both practical and entertaining, a sort of quasi camping except with real dangers. Gren had to remember that no matter how pleasant it may seem, things could always take a turn for the worse. Grimm could attack, a natural disaster may strike, or the teachers may even assign them a lengthy essay to write instead of doing all of the fun stuff. He had to be on his toes and ready for any situation. And the most dangerous of them… Free Cupcakes. Gren took a seat and noticed the cupcake just sitting in front of him. In front of everyone really. If Gren had to guess it was for them, but perhaps there was a test? See if this was poisoned? Perhaps a metaphorical one, like not accepting gifts that look too good? Or maybe the teacher just wanted to treat them to snacks?

Either way Gren took the cupcake and ate it. He was a robot, he’ll be fine. And it turned out to be a damn good cupcake. ”I should have probably scanned it to see how it was made. This is delicious.” He said quietly to himself. Gren then just watched with mild amusement at how the others reacted to the cupcakes. Most with apathy, some with paranoia, and some with heated passion to answer the paranoia. It made the green faunas chuckle. The end result was largely the same; everyone ate a cupcake. He wondered if they were expected to make their own cupcakes in the wild. Certainly a more difficult task than say, surviving a week against a horde of grimm. Sugar wasn’t exactly something you could just find in a forest, as far as Gren knew.

Physical Education

As the Dionaea vaporized into black smoke, Trad dropped his arms to the side and let out a sigh of relief. “Finally. Good work everyone!” He said to Robert, Cian, and Llyr. Though they weren’t the ones to actually kill the Reisen class Grimm, the Nordic hunter was sure their distraction played a big part overall. Llyr then made the statement that the fight was boring, something Trad couldn't’ help but protest. “Boring? Did we fight the same Grimm?” He asked almost baffled by Llyr’s remark.

The sound of the bell cut any further conversation short. Since he was going from one physically active class to another, Trad saw little point in changing clothes or fixing himself up, not that he would have time for either. Quickly dropping off his weapons, Trad went straight from his locker to PE and he found himself one of the later ones to arrive. While there were a number a faces he recognized from around the school, the one that stood out was his team’s newest member and leader Sand.

“Need a spotter?” Trad jokingly asked Sand as he approached his team leader resting his arms on the barbell next to her. “You missed a hell of a fight in Grimm Studies. Port decided to throw a Dionaea at us. Damn thing nearly took my head off, and threw poor Robert across the room.” Trad’s messy appearance supported the story with a number for hair strands loose from his ponytail and beads of sweat still rolling down his head. “So, I take you finally got all that stuff with your transfer figured out?”

As students continued to file in and enter the classroom, Sangue glanced between her cupcake and the students that came in.

In-between her glances, her gaze eventually trailed to the professor, who sat at the front of the class.

Sangue remembered the professor. If she recalled correctly... Lauren knew her the most. Turning to Lauren, who seemed to be in deep thought with her cupcake, she presumed they were friends. It wouldn't be a surprise if they were. Perhaps the professor blushed because she was happy to see Lauren.

She remembered what Mark told her at the bar.

"Mark..." She asked with a cup of milk in her two hands. "Why... do people's faces... turn red?"

His eyes gleaming with brilliance, the blond man drank out of his own cup with his pinky finger sticking out. With a quick wink, he told her with a trash-eating grin,

"Cause they don’t want to turn blue."

That was probably the first time she thought about ignoring someone.

Yes. The professor could just be happy to see Lauren...

Remaining quiet, the red snake's eyes trailed over the classroom again. Bianca fell into her vision quite quickly, considering how she was one seat away and there was no way Sangue could miss her. With that, she bowed to the white-haired girl in silence. She then turned to the classroom again.

Emerald was with two people, exclaiming something about cupcakes... and how they were good for one's energy.

A brown-haired girl sat with a bare minimum of interest towards the people around her, though a rather polite girl who waved at the professor sat near her.

And there was Gren, too.

Her eyes fell upon the big student, who ate the cupcake at his desk. He was alone.

Sangue tilted her head at him, observing him silently. She waited, remembering that he had a team of his own the last time she met him.

What were his team members like?

She wondered.

Her red eyes bore at him, thinking of what she could give him later. She could give him her cupcake, but she held onto it in case Lauren wanted to do something with it. And it also seemed like a rather lazy way of thanking him.

Apep told her to not be lazy, even if her efforts were not recognized. She took his word for granted.

Instead, she slowly raised her prosthetic arm. Not knowing if he would notice her, she waved at him quietly, the arm close to her chest. She did not have anything with her for now... so a greeting would be better than nothing, she supposed.

Violet Steel - Physical Education -

Grimm studies had come and gone in a blur, even faster than Violet's other classes so far. Her next class was PE, which the wolf faunus assumed would be fairly standard. She was one of the last of the students to arrive in the gym, and as she did she glanced at the others present, assessing who they were and if she recognized anyone. She thought she remembered a few of their faces, but in all honesty, she'd never spoken to any of them. This was her first day after all.

This made Violet wonder if she should attempt to strike up a conversation with someone before class started, in an attempt to get to know someone. She was...not very good at socializing, growing up she'd always preferred to let others do the talking for the most part while she listened. The idea of being the one to start a conversation was...terrifying.

In the end, she just couldn't do it. Violet just stood where she was a bit awkwardly. She didn't know what to do before the class started. She didn't mind being around small groups of people but right now she felt rather self-conscious, especially in her PE uniform...

Ugh, why does this scare me more than fighting Grimm? Something's wrong with me...

"If I'm getting spillover from your handsome mug, I'll avoid you like the plague." I joked, raising an eyebrow with a crooked grin. "Yeah, 'lunatic' is one way to put it— apparently Atlas turned him into some double-0 secret agent, or something along those lines. The stories from the man himself are even better than what you've been hearing."

Seriously, I couldn't even make a full heads or tails of what he was even supposed to be, but his skills certainly spoke in favor of his accolades. The man was a professional, through and through.

Well except directly after a mission, but that was beside the point.

Before I could ask something along the lines of "What class do you have after this?" or "Please help me make my weapon idea not stink", we were joined by one my aforementioned teammates. I smiled, raising a hand in greeting.

"Skye! Good to see you in one piece. A Reisen on the first day's pretty rough, huh?"

I chuckled wryly, folding my arms.

"Guess I can't complain about getting dropped into a mission any more. How're you holding up?"

Survival Class
Waving to Sangue

Gren was on his Scroll looking up how to make cupcakes in the wild when he noticed a familiar red dot waving towards him. Looking up from his phone he could see Sangue in the distance waving at him with her new robot arm. Gren's expression soften. It brought memories of Shiro back to him, reminding Gren that while they didn't part on good terms, they at least managed to accomplish a good deed together. Even Sapphire, in her obstructive sort of way, helped out. Shaking these memories off Gren looked back down at his scroll and sent Sangue a text. While he'd normally have no issue just going and talking to her, it looked like she was with her team right now and he felt it would be awkward just butting in. Plus she could use some dexterity practice with her new hand; Gren made sure to fit the fingertips with synthetic heating pads that would allow her to text on a touchscreen like a normal hand.

From: Gren Orchid
To: Sangue Naga
Subject: Wild Cupcake Attack
Hello Sangue, how are you? Did you eat your cupcake yet? I tried mines and it was pretty good. I wonder if they have anything to do with today's lesson. Also did we get a new survival teacher?

By the way, how's your arm holding up? I know it's been a while since I've looked at it. Hopefully it's sturdy enough to last for a while. I've been working on a manual you can read to learn how to fix it yourself when I'm not around.

"And send." Gren sent Sangue a message through her scroll, hopefully she had it on her. Her usual outfit didn't exactly have pockets and Gren had no idea if skirts even had pockets on them. It'd be really awkward for him to have sent this text and she wouldn't get it until afterschool or something. Anyways after he sent he that text he continued looking up how to make pastries with wild ingredients. Mostly about plants and stuff that one could extra sugar from, and how one goes about extracting sugar from them. Beets apparently were high in Sucrose so they could be used to extra sugar. He also learned what rhubarb was. "Huh. I didn't know you could eat those..."

Sepia Russet - PE

Honestly, Sepia was getting sick of nurse's offices. She had nothing but gratitude for the people themselves, of course, but the environment overall quickly becomes tiresome when one has just recently been released from an extended hospital stay. She was no longer continuing to benefit from the attention anyway. She knew what was wrong with her, and that was all that mattered. It certainly wasn't worth making her miss what should have been a vital class just to fuss over the mystery of the slow-healing wound again.

Pushing previous events to the back of her head, the coydog faunus mustered up all the energy she could use in one go and kicked the door to the PE room open. She'd already decided that today was a no-hands kind of day. Fortunately for the door, the girl currently treating it to the full extent of her leg muscles was both somewhat ill and physically weaker than most of the people it was built to accommodate. Thus, Sepia's entrance consisted of the door unceremoniously banging open instead of having a dent put in it or worse.

As she skirted the perimeter of the room, she did a quick once-over of everyone present. Most were already deep in friendly conversation. However...her one-sided gaze zeroed in on one girl in particular. She was a stand-out for multiple reasons: firstly, she was alone, and secondly, she looked kind of like Sepia's mental image of a high fashion model. Tall, bold looks, aloof, mysterious. Despite all that, she didn't seem to give off a feeling of snobbishness. More like discomfort, really. "Well, they say working out alone is the enemy of accountability."

After a quick check to make sure her fringe was still swept into position over the upper left portion of her face, Sepia approached the girl and smiled at her. "Hello there! Don't suppose you just came from Grimm Studies?" As tempting as it was to try to weasel out of homework, asking about it seemed like the best conversation starter.

Gratia Mindaro - Survival Class

The dark-haired girl's response to Beryl was merely a glance of acknowledgement, her onyx eyes flickering away from the cupcake her teammate had claimed for her own and meeting the taller girl's eyes instead. That moment ended as soon as it arrived, however, and the aloof, stoic demeanour that characterised Gratia fell upon them once more, her eyes returning to the front of the classroom. She ignored the sounds of other students filing in; they meant nothing to her, merely the pointless mewling of the masses. All that she focused upon was the class itself, waiting on Nuit to continue on.

Yet when prompted, she still found herself speaking out.

"How were you assigned a class?"

Despite her general disinterest in anything the class had to offer beyond the cupcakes and actual curriculum, the question was one that Gratia wanted an answer to. She knew Estelle Nuit, and during her last encounter with her former teammate's sibling, she was a hundred percent fucking sure that the elder of the sisters was merely a student, rather than comfortably settling into a teaching position within weeks of arriving on campus. The rapid rise in position was definitely something of note, and even if she was familiar with the idiosyncrasies of Bianca's family, the Mistralese teenager wanted to know exactly what had brought about such a change.

Violet looked at the other faunus, her mind spinning for a moment. She quickly collected herself and steeled her mind, she didn't want to appear nervous in front of this girl...even if she was.

"...yes, I was in Grimm Studies."

I should probably introduce myself...

"I'm Violet Steel." It was then she noticed that other girl seemed to bit a bit under the weather. Perhaps she was mistaken, would it be too presumptuous of her to ask about it?

Violet wasn't sure, so she said nothing about it.

Rough? Hectic? Do these two usually fight Grimm that size? Should I be at all surprised at this point? No, I should probably just be grateful.

"Glad to.. be in one piece. But I.. wouldn't survive another class like that. Not in this state. I'm lucky you and Bianca ended that as quickly as you did. I owe everyone a lot for covering me. I'm... sorry I didn't do so well.

She gratefully relaxed in the seat Ben had pulled close for her. Just sitting down felt amazingly good.

Not long after she had taken her seats, the rest of the students began to file into the classroom. Sand gave them curious, cursory glances as they passed by the door until one of them met her eyes and began walking in her direction.

She straightened herself from her slouch as one of the few people she was acquainted with in Beacon approached her. Trad leaned himself against the barbell behind her, looking for all intents and purposes like he had just come from running a marathon.

“Need a spotter?”

After a moment of looking pensively at the weights, Sand shrugged. “Maybe in a minute,” she answered seriously to Trad’s teasing tone, pausing to take in his disheveled state. He must have seen the question in her eyes, for he quickly produced an explanation.

“A Dioanea,” she repeated. She knew of the monster, but had never had a chance to see one in person. Dryly, she added, “That is a Reisen. It’s reassuring to know Grimm Studies professors are unreasonable no matter the continent.”

She thought she had heard the other students mention the Grimm in passing, and even though the more rational side of her felt a measure of relief that she had been spared from facing a Reisen on her first day of class since transferring, Sand found herself wishing she had not been delayed that morning. An encounter against a giant Grimm would have been a prime opportunity to stretch her limbs and see what was expected of Beacon students in her year. The thought only grew stronger when Trad mentioned how he and Robert had struggled with the beast.

For all the talk of impromptu decapitation Trad seemed no worse for the wear where it counted, but Robert was not around for her to examine. With the redhead’s track record in mind, a thought occurred to her. Could it be that he’s not here because…

Trad’s second question headed her off, and she found herself mildly irritated by the memory of the last few hours. In all honesty, her morning had been a bore and was completely unworthy of discussion.

“Something like that. I don’t think I’ll be missing any more classes because of it, at least,” she assured. Sand waved a hand dismissively, not wanting to bore someone else with the details of her enrollment and continued, her mind coming back to her previous concern. “On the topic of classes, where are the others? Don’t tell me Robert managed to land himself in the infirmary again.”

"Listen! These cupcakes will give us the energy we need to survive! That's what our good teacher is trying to tell us!"

To disguise her expression, Lauren took a large bite out of the energy she needed to survive, chewing carefully to keep the muscles in her face from betraying her. Her eyes strayed from Amy's sister (Trashy dancing on the table must be a dominant gene.) to the cute grouchy bitch who was staring Cyclops lasers into Stella and coming right for the throat.

"How were you assigned a class?"

Lauren slouched back in her chair, finishing off her cupcake and using her teeth to scrape icing off of her bottom lip. Her eyes were catlike in a way that Emerald's weren't, watching keenly underneath her innocent grin as she watched Estelle fend for herself against the sharks.

God damn, that teacher getup was something on her. That little skirt, those heels, her hair all fuckin' did up...

Lauren grinned wider.

Just who are you trying to impress, P r o f e s s o r?

!!!

There are eyes on my boobs.

Lauren's head rolled over to the left, tilting from one sister to another as she stared at the girl making giant blue moon eyes at her. This could only be Bianca. No wonder she felt something tickling the small of her back. Those fuckin' feathers. Good thing she wasn't a thot like Amy. Talking a hooker out of her kidney was good for a quick cash infusion, in Lauren's experience, but poor little bonne nuit here would wind up having her wings harvested and then made into the mattress that some businessman hired her to keep warm. Good thing she had enough money to avoid that kind of lifestyle.

Man, it must be hard being born rich instead of cool...

She was still being looked at. By both sisters, probably. Lauren decided to opt for the one right next to her and, one eyebrow raising as her grin grew amused, she waved with the fingertips of one hand, crossed over her left arm.

"Hiya?" she asked playfully, the side of her grin Bianca was seated on growing sharper as she bit back a laugh.

"You did great," Ben waved his hand a little and followed it with a shake of his head. He braced a hand on top of Joyous Guard and leaned on the shield, giving both of the members of Jumpercables a wide grin. A finger drummed briefly on the shield's surface. "Only worked 'cause you were watching our backs. I'm just glad this worked out alright, I didn't expect to field test it on another Reisen anytime soon. Thought after Friday we'd have been done."

"Luke was there for that,"
He jerked a thumb towards his Shiroyaman friend. "He's always got my back. Luke, I think you're gonna have a solid team. Skye and Bianca made sure my dumb ass could get close enough to actually use a sword. Gotta be careful, man, or they're gonna join the people that can kick our asses. Have to find out if this Jericho's one of 'em."

Nevertheless, he cast a quick glance over Skye's frame. He hadn't had much time during Grimm Studies, but it was pretty clear that she wasn't doing great. Not in performance, but health. Uniform jacket helped hide it a little, but it really looked like she hadn't had a decent meal in a long time. Made him frown. He made eye contact with Luke a second, wordlessly asking if he'd noticed the same thing. The other hunter'd help, for sure, but for now...

"PE's a lot more individual. Volkov's not psycho like Port." He cast a quick glance around. "Speaking of, I don't see him anywhere. What do you think, Luke, get her started on some cardio? Leave the real muscle building stuff for another day? If Volkov's not here yet I'm not sure he's gonna be, we might as well start."

If one were to look at Sangue carefully at that moment, they might have seen her vibrate along with her Scroll.

Silently reaching for her uniform’s pocket, she took out her small Scroll. Tapping it carefully with her prosthetic’s finger, she read a message sent by Gren. It seemed that he sent it a moment ago.

Her eyes slowly went through the text, making sure that she did not miss anything.

After reading it twice, she quietly put the Scroll down as she began poking at the Scroll’s keyboard.

Normally, she would try using a voice-to-text program, but Apophis did recommend typing manually. Considering her previous experience, simple things were just as important to learn as combat.

She was more used to flinging around her previous prosthetic, and even now, she had a habit of doing so. It wasn’t a surprise that she took a long time to type something discernible.

Subject: Re: Wild Cupcake Attack
I am fine.
I did not eat the cupcake yet.
I believe the professor is different.
My arm is fine.
Thank you.
How are you?

After checking her words twice, she poked at the Send button and stuffed her Scroll away.

She then turned to her cupcake.

Picking it up gently with her prosthetic hand, she turned to Lauren, and then at Bianca.

Opening her mouth, she eventually took a bite out of the cupcake, chewing slowly as she turned away from them. She proceeded to simply stare at the professor instead.

It tasted good.

This school was as much of a goddamn minefield as Atlas ever was.

Up north, everyone in their year was generally connected by friendship, if not quite relationships for the most part. When you'd grown up through years of repeated hell weeks together, you grew comfortable with people in a way that Jericho couldn't be comfortable with the people here. The fabled boy-girl hoodie swap was as sacred a ritual as Bastion and Atlas had, and it extended to jackets, fleeces, and all other manner of second layers as necessary. Hedy Tritten once returned one of Bright's jackets with a goddamn t-shirt cannon through his bedroom window on the way to class, and Speer used to walk into class wearing enough female hoodies to cushion the bullet Jer constantly wanted to put through his heart. Even the Atlesian expat himself owned one of Princess' jackets, from some time or another when he was visiting the Gault manor one summer.

He had one of Rich's, too. With the white lion fur.

...

It was a birthday present.

From Bekah.

...

They'd been shooting pool down at the sports bar off Van Zandt, and there was a vent that led into Rich's closet in their loft, so Bekah had taken initiative and--

Anyway, Beacon. Minefield. Beryl Harken.

The Mistralian girl had helped out tirelessly with what tuning Jer could get done in ninety minutes. The time flew once they weren't locked in the workshop with Luke, Grat, and the others - when it was just Jer, his two hands, Beryl to hand him tools and ask an occasional question, and Duke Ellington for background noise. It was a good thing Beryl had her eyes on her Scroll now and again, or he might have missed half of this period on top of the class period he pissed away outside of class. For that, and for her assistance, and to try and make up for being grouchy with her, he had faltered for a second to try and thank her genuinely.

She had repaid his gratitude, given in good faith, with a non-consensual hug.

He hadn't wanted a hug.

He only returned it for five seconds. He counted.

And only because she would never get the chance to do it again.

He believed that it was that distraction that had caused him to show up late to PE. Beryl had thrown off his timetable irreparably, and now the professor was going to ream him on his first day of--

...

Which one is the professor?

The various denizens of the gym, all split up into pairs or small groups, looked to be freshman age with a couple of exceptions. There was no commanding presence in the gym like Coach Schultz in Atlas that screamed "it's time for drills." It didn't look like there was an office he could duck into. He might have been in the locker room, but if there were students in there, Jer thought that might be a little too sketchy for even Ozpin to overlook without some questions.

So who the hell is this guy? WHERE the hell...?

Well, there was Luke, at least.

So he was in the right place...

He was talking to a couple other students right now, and Jericho wasn't really in the mood for introductions after having his person assaulted by Beryl Harken's Affection Suplex, but bereft of other options Jer started to advance towards Luke and the other two students he was talking to, Gold Stripes jacket slung over one shoulder, chest holsters visible atop the remaining layer over his torso.

"Hey," he said curtly as a general greeting, though his intense amber eyes had stayed affixed to Luke. "Is this class a free period or something?"

Cian sighed as she sat in the classroom her jacket resting on the back of the char as she leaned back and tried to figure what to do if anything it was proof that despite being a physical education type class she wasn't prepared to give more than she needed at the moment. Her role as a sniper meant that sure she had to be patient and right now she should be stretching and the like but right now she just honestly did not feel like it. Call her lazy but she deserved some time to rest in her own opinion which many would say was flawed. Though right now she could care less but with that said time passes and with a final sigh she got up and started doing slow stretches in precise rhythmic motions.

Sepia Russet - PE

"Yes!" Sepia burst out excitedly. "Tell me, what did you guys do in class? Any homework?" She bounced up onto her toes, forgetting for a moment the entire reason she'd missed Grimm Studies. The resulting flash of soreness across her abdomen nearly sucked her breath away. Egh...it's like getting shot all over again. At this point, she must've looked a sight. Still high off of new-people fumes, she was somehow giggling and grimacing at the same time, semi-doubled over to boot.

After she caught her breath and straightened (slowly this time), the girl's introduction finally registered. "Ah-sorry. Nice to meet you, Violet. My name's Si-Sepia Russet." Shoot. Having Datura and Soot around got me back in the habit.
