The year is 1935, and Gallia has been once again invaded at the breakout of the Second Europan War between the Atlantic Federation and the Autocratic East Europan Imperial Alliance due to its richness in the Ragnite ore. In response to the sudden invasion, universal conscription across Gallia has reformed, once again, the Gallian Militia to fight alongside the regular military in the hopes of driving back and repelling the invaders like in the previous Europan War. Whilst not as skilled or equipped as the regulars of Gallia's Armed Forces, they make up for their bond in partnership and driven goals to see them return to their peaceful lives as they once lived. Being considered the more expendable of the two main terrestrial branches of the Armed Forces, the Gallian Militia housed a large amount of operations under their belt, whether they were successful or not was down to who was sent on these seemingly suicidal missions.

Enter Squad 11, a rag-tag team from one of many in the 4th Platoon, 2nd Regiment of the Gallian Militia. This regiment, whilst full of different individuals, remains as one of the more scrambled of assembled squads within the regiment. They stand with decent numbers of armed personnel within its ranks, amongst the ability to gain access to smaller vehicles outside of the standard Gallian Tank, such as the Gallian Armoured Personnel Carriers or Light Attack Vehicles. The focus for this squad is to head further East, where an expanding number of Imperial Forces are making headway within. Dense forests, riverside villages and urbanised towns stand between both Squad 11 and the approaching Imperial Army. They hope to push back the invading force, or at least hold them off long enough for gains in the north to be made. Without too much support from the Gallian Military themselves, the sequences of Operations being ignited too and from their headquarters up to the Frontline of the East will start to become more than just a dangerous war.

Welcome to a hopeful Valkyria Chronicles roleplay ran by both myself and @Jinxer, focusing on a separate squad moving to the eastern regions of Gallia in order to press back the invading forces of the empire. Having an emphasis on both the character narrations and development, as well as the progressive battles throughout their journey, this Squad will encounter a large pressing force content on spearheading its way towards the more crucial regions and cities of the nation in the East. Through both physical operations and guerrilla warfare, the unique skills and personalities of the characters are going to be dependent on getting them through the campaign of survival.

Whilst the roleplay itself won't be fully following the canon of the series, though it will still mention and involve certain major events towards the very latter days of the war, the emphasis, combat wise, will be shown on fighting the main backbone to the Imperial military as oppose to what the original cast had to put up with. Throughout the roleplay, we hope we deliver a good bond between many different characters that evolves constantly throughout their time in the field and back at the headquarters, whilst giving a small amount of freedom towards the choices of classes the characters can be. The choices of class are going to be following VC1, excluding those within the other two games, for clarification, but will feature long term accessorising to the Squad's vehicles, as well as personal weaponry depending on how the character acts and progresses throughout the story. Though its still in discussion, variations of each class may be available mid-way through the story itself. The ranks, which will be discussed within the OOC if created itself, will vary, but several NCO positions will be open as well as countless lower-ranks for the majority.

Here, we aim to try and deliver a decent roleplay that creates a new story to fit into the war itself, trying to cover the battles in-between the skipped months the original cast looked over, most of which will be created by us and those who wish to input or submit an operation idea of their own, alongside specific events such as expeditionary operations that may venture onto long-term missions, such as multi-stage battle, which will have planning stages to allow the players to create several tactics. No, this isn't a full-strategy leaning roleplay, for those who want only that, meaning that the battles won't always depend on great strategy and reactions created by the GMs. Everything is still up for discussion, but until then let's see if we can round up interest.

It's somewhat like an alternate WW2 scenario. Gallia wants to stay neutral, but the Imperials want the ragnite (ragnite powers about anything, medical supplies, tanks, etc.) that exists within the region, so they invade.

There's a simple Wiki on the subject, which doesn't provide an unbelievable amount of information. Recommend it, just if you want to know the story, which we won't be following completely.

I prefer to add that only when we actually have the OOC, not here.

Medic in that case.

Medic is a slightly odd one, as there are no actual medics within the squad's roster and remain outside of it. I'll discuss it with Jinxer quickly when I get the chance.

Just so you are all familiar, the classes/roles within the Squad go as such...

- Scout, the mid-long ranged rifleman of the group. Most common.
- Lancer, the Anti-tank specialists who utilize the lance.
- Shocktrooper, who specialize in breakthrough/spearheading tactics, utilizing sub-machine guns.
- Engineer, the combat/field maintenance for vehicles, as well as the ones who supply the squad with ammo, ragnite health packs and disable mines/tank traps along the way. Closest you'll get to a combat medic. Similar weaponry to the scout, but lacks grenades.
- Sniper, does what they say on the tin. Specialize in long range combat.

There are also a few positions open for tank/vehicle crew. As far as the current numbers go, there'll be two positions open for that. If we get, say, several more parts of interest, three spaces will be open, though the rotation will vary depending on the operation, vehicle they are best within and terms of situation. They will be supplied with a carbine instead of a Gallian sidearm to add more versatility when outside of their vehicle, which is common.

That feels interesting. I can't confirm that I'll commit to this before taking a better look at the actual OOC but, I'll sure be keeping my eyes here.

Just one thing, @LetMeDoStuff, don't Enginners have actually more grenades than the Scouts? They are slower because they are literal pack mules of equipment. But, isn't it weird for them to provide extra grenades to others if needed, but use none themselves?

In a sense, you are right. But what I was getting across is that it's more of a dispensary than a privilege to gain all those grenades. I should have confirmed that so thanks for doing so in my absence. I do think it's odd and won't restrict them to not using them in certain situations, but maybe a Gallian Training "guideline" for the Engineers is to provide for the rest first, then yourself after.

Also as a message for the speed of the RP, I won't have a high post rate going, especially in the first two weeks, as for this upcoming nexy week and that after I'll be in rehabilitation for my medical conditions surrounding my body. I won't be inactive, just slower in speed of response! I aim to get the OOC later up this week.
