As the training begins for the 600,000 Ethiopian Troops to be integrated within the Italian Army (including 13 Aircraft, 4 Tanks, and 7 Armoured Cars), Italy begins to surround the island of Palma with 16 Littorio Class Battleships in preparation for any escalation of conflict; hoping that they won't be needed.
Italy accepts and continues with negotiations for a trade Deal with the US after the latter had expressed interest in such. A special prison begins construction in Libya for Haile Selassie I and other Prisoners of War, as well.

Fascist Coup occurs in Ankara A fascist coup has occurred in Ankara and has successfully overthrown the Republic. Parliament members Erkut Ilgaz and Yetkin Müjide have taken President Ismet Inönü hostage and Hakim Ziyech has taken control of the Government and was given plenary power of the country. The law gave him the freedom to act without parliamentary consent and even without constitutional limitations. Hakim immediately set about abolishing the powers of the states and the existence of non-Fascist political parties and organizations. The Act did not infringe upon the powers of the President, and Hakim would not fully achieve full dictatorial power until after the death of Inönü a few days after the coup.
Military Officials have also acted against the Republic and set up a paramilitary group inspired by the German Sturmabteilung and was called Milliyetçi Hizip. It consisted of 35.9K which were soldiers from the Turkish army and have gained control over key parts of Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, and Bursa.
Dictatorship of Hakim Ziyech
Hakim has ordered Imset Inönü to be executed and has sent the past government into exile. Members of the communist party was also executed secretely. (Nobody knows about this but if anyone asks what happened to the communists there’s your answer.)

Hakim has set up new administrative regions and were headed by high ranking Fascist Party leaders who effectively became the governor of their respective regions. Rank in the party was not determined by elections and positions were filled through appointment by those of higher rank. Top officials reported to Hakim and followed his policies, but they had considerable autonomy. Officials were expected to "work towards the Diktatör." – to take the initiative in promoting policies and actions in line with his wishes and the goals of the Milliyetçi Parti, without Hakim having to be involved in the day-to-day running of the country. The government was not a coordinated, co-operating body, but rather a disorganized collection of factions led by members of the party elite who struggled to amass power and gain the Diktatör’s favor. Hakim’s leadership style was to give contradictory orders to his subordinates and to place them in positions where their duties and responsibilities overlapped.
Hakim’s Plans
Hakim wanted to recreate the Ottoman Empire and establish an alliance with Germany. In speeches during this period, he stressed the peaceful goals of his policies and a willingness to work within international agreements. At the first meeting of his cabinet in December, Hakim prioritized military spending over unemployment relief. Hakim announced an expansion to the Silahlı Kuvvetler (Armed Forces) to 600K including development of an air force and an increase in the size of the navy.
Hakim’s plans oversaw one of the largest infrastructure improvement campaigns in Turkish history, leading to the construction of dams, highways, railroads, and other civil works. Wages were slightly lower in the mid to late 1930s compared with wages during the Turkish Republic, while the cost of living increased by 25 per cent. The average work week increased during the shift to a war economy; by 1940, the average Turkish was working between 47 and 50 hours a week.
Hakim offers fascist party support and 1 Light Cruiser to Bulgaria in exchange for Haskovo and Kardzhali.
Hakim also accepts the invitation to the Nuremberg Rally.

The Waffen SS attacked Belgium first with 14 infantry divisions, 9 Motorized infantry divisions, and 6 Panzer Divisions, numbering around 1400 tanks, and 391,000 men, then two combined armies of 5 Tank Divisions about 1165 Tanks, 52 infantry divisions, about 884,000 men, these Armied are preceded by 8 paratrooper Divisions. In other news the forces at the Yugoslavian border have been withdrawn to Warsaw
Diplomacy
In response to the American request for Germany to stop the sale of arms to southern America Hitler released this statement “We (the people of Germany and its protected regions) have never sold anything in South America, related to the products of war. But some public and private corporations have invested in mines, oil, and factories overseas. The messerschmitt company did send a copy of the BF109 to Colombia in response to their contest, this was not Germany’s doing and so we cannot be held for that” During this speech Hitler also addressed other countries, in a statement about the British he said “There has been a mistake, the Yugoslavian government are our friends, almost to the point of being allied, the declaration of war was that of war games, conducted by the southern German army and the Yugoslav army. Such mistakes should be taken into account before a Great War breaks out between our two great nations, surely a war of that scale would be disastrous, to both of our countries, but if you decide to continue this stance towards the German people we Will defend ourselves” Hitler has invited and accepted Turkey to the Axis upon hearing of their new Fascist government. If Turkey accepts they will gain rights to produce German designed Weapons, including but not limited to, the BF109, the FW190, the MG34, the MP38, the K98K, the HE111, the DO19, various field artillery, the Panzer 1 2 3, and the panzer 38(t) Also Hitler has invited all world leaders to join him at the Nuremberg Rally in January to see a parade of the armed forces, to feast on the great foods Germany has to offer, and mainly to speak of the current situation of the world.
Home-Front
An Exact date has been given for the completion of a project dubbed the STG40 (STG44) it will be done in August Of 1940. Also the MP40 should be in full service in February of ‘40. Trade has begun with Turkey and Italy, Trade has increased with the US. Production has been increased dramatically, as has Recruitment and training. Our trainers have become part of a well oiled efficient machine, getting troops trained to standards in a fraction of the time. This well oiled machine has put out 2 infantry divisions, 1 Tank Divisions, 2 paratrooper divisions, 2 mechanized infantry, 2 motorized infantry, 2 SS infantry, 2 SS motorized, 1 SS mechanized, and 1 Panzer SS. Though these troops are not expected to reach their posts till next month.
Germany invades Belgium and Luxembourg, the alliance between Yugoslavia and Germany is Known. Trade increases, Turkey is invited to the Axis. Large scale upgrades to the production of war materials and training of men. Leaders are invited to Nuremberg to talk over the war.

Home Front Roads are being built to increase the amount of people coming into cities which shall benefit Bulgaria economically
Tsar Boris III is wanting to increase the number of children attending schools to increase jobs, This is just making the country richer.
Creation of railroads to transport supplies and other goods has begun, these railways shall allow supplies and other goods to be transported quickly aswell as transportation for citizens
Diplomacy Bulgaria accepts the offer from Turkey, In exchange allows Turkey to annex Haskovo and Kardzhail
All branches of the military have begun to go through massive reorganization of almost all personnel and supplies. The great leader Francisco Franco plans to turn his disorganized army from the civil war into a well organizes fighting force. His plan is to organize men into smaller divisions that can operate with higher independence, while still being able to coordinate with each other to capture more difficult targets. He has also begun retraining almost all personnel, including the officers.
Massive work programs have been implemented to speed up the reconstruction of that country, including using the divisions not being retrained at the time as construction crews.
The great Spanish State would like to sign a pact of nonagression with the axis powers and increase trade ties with them as well.
