Cloud- Arseface and I have the same conversation all the time. I still *HATE* the fact I am somewhat forced into buying certain supplements, or equpiment to stay competitive in today's game. And it is much easier to get dicked on now in anything below if you dont have the right toys. However, some of the new stuff is pretty cool and I keep getting sucked in.

Oh and everyone else - we are officially official. DM IC & OOC are up. 1,2,3,go!

I still don't have a Riptide and I have no plans to get one. I'm of the belief that it's mere existence is contradictory to previous fluff, where the Tau think giant robots are impractical and absurd to the point where their counter-attack against Imperial Titans was to build bigger guns and shoot the legs and cockpits out. It doesn't hurt that I'm not a big fan of the design and I'm not paying that much money for one model. I always see tournament lists run three of them and roll my eyes. Fluff complaints aside, there's no creativity in building a list when a quarter of your points go to three models.

Cloud- I feel the same way about 90% of the things they try to tell me to ally with. I just can't do it if the fluff doesn't support it.

I play casual only and build more around fluff. if you guys ever want to I play WH40K vassal and played Fallen Muse the other day.

Some parts of the ally chart make sense. All Space Marines being Battle Brothers with the exception of Any/Grey Knights and Space Wolves/Dark Angels, but others are just odd. Tau Battle Brothers with Space Marines? Sure if the rumored fluff of Guilleman awakening and taking the Ultramarines to join the Tau were true (which would make the Ultramarines about 1000x more interesting), but it would have made much more sense if it were Imperial Guard as Battle Brothers. Daemons should also be Come the Apocalypse with everyone except Imperial Guard (IE, traitor Guard) and Chaos Marines.

Also, I may be up for a Vassal based game. I've never heard of it before tonight and a digital version of the game is something that GW should have done years ago.

Welp, never played this, and I don't have the money for the books, but I know of it! I also do tabletop, so as far as lore is concerned I'm up to speed. Mostly, I see this as the perfect opportunity to wreak some Multimelta havoc! Although from what little time with the book I had I know I can't have one for a while... Yeah, basically the only game mechanic I know is requisition... And that this is a roll-under system.

I know, it took them long enough just to make a Space Hulk game so a digital tabletop game is likely a long ways off still.

I am looking up Imperial Knights(I honestly did not think it was an actual codex when I saw stuff about it earlier assuming like an April Fool's joke) most people are saying it is balanced but I really want to get my hands on a copy to see for myself.

If you are still accepting characters, I wouldn't mind filling in either the roll of a Tech Marine or another Librarian. My Tech Marine on another forum isn't doing much, so it'd be nice to create another and my Librarian is basically sitting in some cave doing nothing in another forum, so I'd also love to give that a shot as well. I could have a character up quick and an IC post sometime this week.

I have a general amount of experience with the game. I currently have 3 characters created for Deathwatch (unfortunately as mentioned above, only 1 is active) and I also DM a Dark Heresy and Deathwatch game, so I have a pretty good understanding of the rules and almost (if not all) of the books handy.

Let me know if it's still open! Thanks!

I guess if you already are, don't tell me at this point. But your RP better not be shit because of it!

DM OOC for First Oaths will be 100% ready for your corresponding rolls & RP this evening. I'm just waiting for the wife to leave for work before I focus on this (instead of dishes).

Well if Mruozo take a techmarine. A second Apothocary would probably be best im thinking. Or a tactical marine for the versatility.

Let me think of some builds. I have a Tactical in another game that I would really like to flesh out (that game doesn't seem to be progressing very much, as Uozu mentioned).

As of right now, I would like to just transfer that Marine here (Tyrannic War Veteran Novamarine). But again, let me run it over in my brain box.

I also want to say that I LOVE how in depth you all are posting on the IC thread. That makes me really excited to be a part of the game; players who care make the difference between an OK game and a great game. Rock and roll.

I forgot to add, I have lots of experience with this game, the errata, the supplements in the form of GMing AND playing multiple PCs in various games.

I am also in a couple Dark Heresy Games.

I love this universe and this setting and will do my best to see it come to life.
