Overview: The principle opponent of Constantine the Regent, Merenia has long held sway as one of the colonial powers in the world, her potential marred largely by corruption in politics. The defeat of the Merenian Royal Army at
Ten Fields (1801) has set her back considerably and saw the Common Parliament to vote for Prime Minister Trembley's dismissal, a vote slated to be held in the coming months. With nearly a third of her population in far away colonies, Merenia is considered "the land of the setting sun," as she faces emigration, corruption and a devalued Crown that has cost her much in the way of trade.
Military: The Royal Merenian Army is in shambles after a major defeat at
Ten Fields. Her Professionals number 18,000 and her Colonial forces, spread across the globe number about 55,000. The Royal Merenian Navy is the largest in the world, with 33 Ships of the Line, 55 Frigates and 68 Merchant Ships.
