Either way, speaking in 5e doesn't take any action in a turn, unless you're casting a spell or you're making a convoluted speech.

@Guardian Angel Haruki So if it takes our full turn to tie the bandit, that means action, bonus action, movement. If I wanted to say something to the bandits, is that allowed?


I consider saying something to the bandits a free action (as long as it's not a spell or speech), so you can do that.
I would say to finish tying up this bandit quickly and be able to fight next time, it'll take a full round. But you do have advantage thanks to Shaedra.

I would say that you would have an Opportunity attack on Chorus and Lorus (the bandits attacking Jacoby and Bobbin)

@Guardian Angel Haruki I wanted to point my weapon at the tied bandit and say to the others something along the lines of "Drop your weapons or your friend here gets it." If I had my bonus I would have reactivated my Crimson Rite, which dissipated as soon as I sheathed my weapon to tie the thug. I figure I would have been a lot more intimidating if I held a lightning sparkling scimitar to their buddy's neck

I don't really want to roll for persuasion/intimidation. Just to put it out there

@Cu Chulainn A short post will not be necessary. You can start with describing the opportunity attack in your next post in the Initiative order. You can post the mechanics for the Opportunity attack here in the OOC thread.

Going forward, can we receive mentions when affected by something? I would never have known anything happened to me and that I needed immediately write down had I not gone to reread the section of events. I missed her name entirely among the large list.
